Any corporation that hires Alec Baldwin to be their spokesman is a corporation I will avoid doing business with at all costs. He's an egotistical jerk who (1) got thrown off a plane for refusing to turn off his cell phone; (2) was recorded being verbally abusive to his own young daughter [called her a "pig"] (3) said that Ken Star and his entire family should be drug from their homes and killed (4) said he'd move from America if Bush was reelected. . .too bad he didn't! Looser spokesman, looser CapOne!
We have been a customer for approximately 5 years now andlate e NEVER been havwith one single payment. This Decembers' payment was due on the 18th ( past due if not paid by the 29th). Being as the holidays and other commitments we told the man at your Burleson office when he called the first time that we would come to the office at One Main Financial in Burleson on the 29th to pay. Well, we wake up and see that at 9:12 a.m. that he has CALLED AGAIN !!! We can see harrassment if we were late or dragging month after month but just once and NOT late yet. Once the loan is paid off I will NEVER do business with you people again.
Payment protection is giving me a hard time since they are to pay since I have become disabled and nothing seems to get done to pay my balance. Now I need a fax number but they don't put it in there letter.
We had two Capital One Credit cards, which we paid above the minimum amount until my husband became disabled in 2006. At that time he called to make payment adjustment with them based on our loss of income. They was not concerned about our loss nor did they care about working out an agreement. They added interest and penalties that exceeded the amount on our credit card! This company even to me to court, a disabled veteran and when they saw I did not have enough income to pay them each month they placed a lien on our home. My interest amounts to $4.00 a day! This is unfair and deceptive business practices, and in my opinion falls under the Credit Card Act of 2009.
I cannot believe what someone who works for Capital said about quote "we people and at the end of what they said he ended by saying quote jajajaja and used the N Word. That is OMG I cannot find the words to express how I feel right now. Something will be done about the racial remarks and the decrimatory and very prejudice remarks they use so freely. NAACP will be notified and that is a promise. Nobody is asking u the customer service rep for your personal opinion about anything u service us we are the customer If u don't like the questions that are being asked find another job. Finally learn how to spell and if you can't take it don't dish it out! O and by the way just because you r in another country does not give you the right to say whatever it is out your mouth you can be located!!
FOR ABOUT THE PAST 18 MONTHS OR SOMEWHAT LONGER, I HAVE BEEN GETTING CAPITAL CREDIT CARD ADS, AND I HAVE NOT RESPONDED ON THE BASIS THAT I HAVE JUST BARELY BEEN ABLE TO MAKE THE PAYMENTS ON THE ONE CREDIT CARD THAT I DO HAVE. MY CURRENT PROBLEM WITH CAPITAL ONE INVOLVES THEM CLAIMING THAT THEY HAVE A WEB ADDRESS WITH MY NAME ON IT, WHICH I INVESTIGATED AND FOUND THAT THERE IS NOT WEB SITE BY THE CLAIMED AD TITLE, WHICH IS FRAUDULENT ADVERTISING. I AM HAVING TO ASSUME THAT IT HAS EVERYTHING TO DO WITH A CAPITAL ONE ESTABLISHMENT LOCATED AT 4082 PENDLETON WAY IN INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA. NOW THAT I HAVE SEEN THESE NEGATIVE REPORTS, TOO MANY OF THE CAPITAL ONE FRANCHISES AND THEIR EMPLOYEES DO NOT HAVE THE EXPECTED ETHICAL POSTURE AND ARE NOT WORTH ESTABLISHING CREDIT IN BEHALF OF EITHER CAPITAL ONE OR THE CAPITAL ONE CUSTOMERS ALREADY IN ACCOUNT. THE ONLY ADVICE I HAVE TO GIVE IN THIS REGARD IS TO DO LIKE I PLAN TO DO: FILE AN OFFICIAL ONLINE REPORT WITH THE FBI SO THAT THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT HAS THE FULL OPPORTUNITY TO ADDRESS WHAT CURRENT CAPITAL ONE CUSTOMERS OF LEGITIMATE COMPLAINT CAN NOT, AND MOSTLY ON THE BASIS THAT THERE IS NO ONLINE INFORMATION ON HOW TO CONTACT CAPITAL ONE CORPORATE HEADQUARTERS. ADMITTEDLY, I AM NOT EXPERT WITH THESE SUCH ISSUES, BUT I ALSO DO NOT UNDERSTAND HOW THIS BEHAVIOR ON THE BEHALF OF CAPITAL ONE DOES NOT DIRECTLY CLASSIFY WITH ALL OF THOSE E-MAIL SCAMS TELLING PEOPLE THAT THEY HAVE INHERITED MILLIONS OF DOLLARS IN AN EFFORT JUST TO GET YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION FOR THE PURPOSE OF IDENTITY THEFT. AGAIN, FILING AN OFFICIAL ONLINE FBI COMPLAINT FOR INVESTIGATION INTO CAPITAL ONE IS THE BEST REDRESS FOR MOST OF YOU POOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE HAD FAR LESS THAN ETHICAL BUSINESS EXPERIENCES WITH CAPITAL ONE. I was laid-off from job back in 2008. I continue to pay for two whole years on good faith. When my insurance company reneged on my payments, I ran out of money. I tried to get answers from the payment protection plan to get deferred payments. I was turned down because I did not report that I was laid-off within the a one year period. Now that my credit is ruined, I can not get a job after going to college and graduating to get a better job. I had a score of 752 before the economy took a nose dive. If they want their money, they should not trash people who were good customers, and have no control of their situation because of the economy.
why don't you all people stop bothering the codtumer service in capital they are just doing what they can do you think the only freaking thing thay have in their life is listening to your problems, don't you pleople have a life???? or what???? it seems that the only thing you can do is grab the f... phone and start annoying the reps. and the worst part is that you call with the most stupid questions that i ever heard in my life, like "why do i have to pay a security deposit?" Well at least I know I am not alone. For the second time I was issued a Cap One card and tried to use the cash advance feature but it kept saying invalid pin although I provided one to the rep when I activated the card. Upon calling their absolutely, idiotic, disrespectful customer service rep I was informed that I should not use that feature at all because it may trigger a fraud alert...HUH?! WTF are you kidding me? Ok, so after being told to use it for shopping but not cash advances and everything would be fine, I went to a local store and tried to charge $47.00 in groceries. You guessed it, D E C L I N E D. So I call the rep back and I was told a fraud alert had been activated on the card and that I must send proof of address, ID, social security, and job info. This is the exact information I sent them per their request, before I received the @#$% card. I told to once again cancel my account because they make absolutely no sense whatsoever. What kind of policy have these people established that makes them think it is ok to treat customers in such a horrible manor. I believe this company violates the agreements that they sign with customers. I am looking into possible legal actions that may be pursued against Cap One. This company will hopefully go out of business soon.
my phone rings all day for captial one.from custmor and capatial offices.they will not fix this problem.i get about 50 calls a week,some leave the account number on my answer machine.i have told them this but they don't care.if i had a account with them,i would close it.
Their customer service has not improved. I was told that I had been approved for an auto loan and could write the blank check Capital One sent me. After signing the forms and paying my $1500 down payment to the dealership, driving the car home and for two other days, Capital One called and said they could not approve the loan. Of course when I asked why they didn't have an explanation that made sense. UGGGH
I am writing to obtain a reason for why my account went from $1333 when the garnishment 1,400 was I charges an extra interest of over $100. In one month i incurred $100 in interest alone? ALso, while im talking to you i am requesting information about the current interest rates of this account and also a request to look into when i origionally called where two different agents from your callcenter gave me the exact SAME address that happened to be outdated and i recieved my money order back in the mail, along with late fees and was penalized on my credit report as a result. Inclosed inside of that envelope I sent you was a money order for $150 out of the $300 credit limit on the card even though there was an interest rate of 19% i didnt care i was willing to build my credit and start out with that rate. I was only trying to get ahead and now on a $300 limit i am now in debt to you over $1,400
Capitol one is a fraud they took my 99 dollar deposit and approved my card then turned around and told me I needed to fax in documents and I did all of that as of august 29,2011 then they called me this morning and told me they needed more documents and then I have to wait 1-2 more business days this right here is a bunch of bull crap I sent everything on my end. I should know my address birthday and the last digits of my social I want my money back I will draw up a petition and post it all over the web if capitol one does not resolve this matter. Only a few days into being a cardholder and already a problem!!!! Day 1 - successfully activated card over the phone, established a PIN for cash advances, (which I was told would be available immediately), agreed to terms & conditions, declined "optional" coverages/services, etc., I was sent off with a "welcome to capital one". Day 2 - 2 successful transactions...YIPPEE! Day 2 (evening) went to the ATM to take a cash advance....DECLINED!! Immediately called Customer Service number on the back of the card. Only then was it explained to me that I had to WAIT 60 days to use the ATM, BUT...I could go into ANY bank and present my I.D. to obtain a cash advance. Not a problem. Day 3 - attempted to make a payment for my electricity bill....DECLINED!! Once again, I immediately called Customer Service number on the back of the card, AND WAS TOLD THAT MY ACCOUNT HAS BEEN SUSPENDED DUE TO SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY!!! BUT WAIT!!!!!THERE'S MORE!!! TODAY, 8/29/2011 MY ACCOUNT WAS CHARGED $39.00 ANNUAL FEE. I immediately cancelled the account!!!!
To all the people complaining about the lousy service. I can tell you that if you ever want customer service to actually help you and not make fun of you behind your back, the best way to go about it would be to ask, wait for it, nicely. When you simply yell at an agent or assume they just do not want to help you and start screaming, swearing, whining etc, the agent will just push a mute button and start making fun of you with their coworkers and probably not help you. If you actually want some real help, asking nicely will go a long way and you may wind up with way more credits. And remember, if you have fees on your bill or can't get a credit limit increase, the agent did not do this to you personally. Remember that as well.
I may change my rating after I talk to someone at the corporate offices. I usually pay our Capital One cards online. Apparently, if a person uses AOL, that kind of screws up the access to your account./ Example: I pay one card, and since I do not get my statements on paper, I view my statement online. HOWEVER, if I then pay another card and try to view that statement, the first statement keeps coming up and I cannot access the current statement. I was totally unaware of this, I trusted that their system worked properly and would allow me to view each individual account statement. Until one month when i paid the accounts in a different order I did nto notice a charge on my card for Netzero (whatever that is). I immediately called Netzero, told them it was a fraudulent charge, and to immediately close the account. But the bogus account had been charging my card for 17 months, during which time i had never noticed that i was not viewing the correct statement, and therefore did not see the bogus charge. Now, Netzero says they will only give me two months credit. And unless I can get Capital One to do something to help me get the money back, I am screwed. The only way someone at my former address could have got my account number to institute this bogus account is that Capital One sent some correcpondence to me AFTER I moved (and after I notified them of my new address.) So, I am hoping that someone will help me with this. I also want to report the people who used my account to the police, but cannot get their names from my former landlord! What a mess. And I believe it all happened because Capital One's system has a problem with AOL!
This company is the WORST since the acquisition and/or merger with Chevy Chase Bank. These people have the UNMITIgATED gALL to randomly, at will, change the pass code on my debit card so that I cannot have access to the card. I have money deposited into this account twice per month, and I have had it. There are no protocols in their SOPs that allow them to change my pass code at will unless they are usurping the money that is placed in my account. If these idiots think they are dealing with a fellow idiot, then I suggest they go to the nearest hospital and have their brain patters scanned or restructured. They WILL be held accountable for the money they are stealing from my account, and I WILL CALL THE COPS. MAKE NO MISTAKE.
The customer service is so bad. Can't speak to someone in the U.S. even though this is a U.S. company (ha, ha). There policies for late fees and interest is mind blowing....will be cutting up these cards and transferring to a company that doesn't try to trick its customers into paying extra.
i have had the card for about 7 months now. i paid my balance in full and checked online to make sure i had credit. it said i did. then declined me at the store. I was so embarrassed. i immediately calle them after i left and they straighened it out. however...this month they claim i have 100.00 less in credit than they say is available. How can they make constant errors like this. everytime i use the card i am not sure if its going to work!
