WE PURCHASED A KITCHENAID FREESTANDING DOUBLE OVEN RANGE, WORST INVESTMENT EVER. IN 6 WEEKS WE HAVE HAD 6 REPAIR TRIPS MADE TO OUR HOME. THE RANGE WAS UNABLE TO BE LEVELED. IF THE TOP WAS LEVELED THE OVENS WERE TILTED SO WHEN YOU BAKED, YOUR CAKE WAS UNEVEN. (THE GLASS DOOR WAS DIRTY ON THE INSIDE WHEN IT WAS DELIVED). (PREVIOUS REPAIR ON A SUPPOSEDLY NEW RANGE?) (LARGE DENT ON THE RIGHT REAR UPPER SIDE)(CERAMIC GLASS TOP WAS SCRATCHED) MISS KITTY SUPV IN CUST SERV. SAID WE NEEDED PROOF OF A DAMAGED APPLIANCE TO GET A REFUND ON A REPAIR. SHE SAID IT WAS OK FOR KITCHENAID TO SELL A USED STOVE AS NEW. I DISPUTED MY CREDIT CARD CHARGES TO THE APPLIANCE STORE WHERE WE PURCHASED THIS LEMON, AND AFTER A MONTH, THEY FINALLY CAME AND PICKED UP THE RANGE. WE REC'D A FULL REFUND, LESS THE ONE SEVICE CALL AND THE DELIVERY CHARGES. MADE IN USA ? UN SERVISABLE APPLIANCE. THIS COMPANY IS A RIP OFF.

Right now I have to tell you that I am extremely disappointed and frustrated. I have been searching on the internet for 45 minutes just to find where I can place a concern/complaint that I have with my red canopener. I have many KitchenAid products in my kitchen.I have always been satisfied but I hope if I have a major problem it will not be this hard to contact you. I bought a manual red can opener. I have used it two or three times. It doesn't work. My Dollar store one works better..when you put it on the can and turn the handle the little wheel just turns and does nothing to the can. When I was searching the internet for somewhere to contact you I watched a utube video of the exact can opener not opening a can. Not impressed.

I purchased a Kitchenaid 5 Speed Ultra Power Hand Mixer, Serial # WTW171987, and Model # KHM5APWH7. After using my $59 mixer to make dinner and to my surprise it did not work. The speed switch did not engage properly. The 5 speed mixer only works on speeds 1, 4, and 5. The medium speeds 2 & 3 do not work. The motor is weak and a faint sound of a grinding gear. I contacted Kitchenaid and they indicated the product is out of warranty. I would expect this from Hamilton Beach or Sunbeam, but not Kitchenaid! I DO NOT have $$$$$ to keep replacing appliances every year. Kitchenaid used to build quality products. Now they produce JUNK! Kitchenaid no matter the cost of the product,it is JUNK and I would not recommended purchasing anything!

If you could give zero stars, I would. We purchased a Kitchen Aid dishwasher when we updated our kitchen 2 years ago. The front circuit panel has gone out twice - both times Kitchen Aid has replaced parts, but not labor, which has now cost us a total of $350.00. Upon examining the defective panels, I found it to be poorly constructed, with obvious corrosion that should not have happened to a component such as this. (I worked in the electronics industry for 23 years). Not only is KitchenAid design flawed, its construction substandard, but its customer service is TERRIBLE! KitchenAid obviously does not care about its customers - I will never buy another product from them.

We purchased a kitchenaid dishwasher in Jan of 2011- It never worked efficiently from day one. My dishes come out dirtier and covered with a white film. Four times over the past year servicemen have come to check it out . same story every time. I know that we have hard water but for forty years we never had such a problem with a dishwasher. We have now bought a another machine so the $ 700.00 that we spent on the model kuds30Ixwho was money thrown away. I would never buy a kitchenaid product again.

I work for a family in their home who a few years back remodeled their whole kitchen, including all new appliances. The microwave, wine cooler, and ice-maker were all beautiful stainless steel Kitchenaid products. The trouble is they were beautiful on the outside but cheaply made on the inside. All 3 broke down just past their warranty; in fact, the ice-maker broke down twice within a few weeks. Because of appliances that seem to be made to break down, this family had to spend hundreds of dollars to make things right. Although, at this moment, the ice-maker sits idle because to fix it a second time would cost $500.00. In my opinion, after this experience, I would not buy Kitchenaid

I have patronized Kitchenaid for 40 years. My last dishwasher lasted for 20 years. I AM SO UPSET I CANT THINK. I JUST PURCHASED THE TOP OF THE LINE KITCHENAID FROM SEARS. IT IS BARELY TWO MONTHS OLD, I HAD A HUGE PARTY SATURDAY AND THE GD THING REFUSED TO FUNCTION. WHEN I CALLED SEARS THEY WERE SNOTTY AND TOLD ME I COULD HAVE A REPAIR PERSON ON THURSDAY. I HAVE HAD TWO MORE OPEN HOUSES AND HAD TO WASH EACH DISH BY HAND. I AM SO UPSET I CANT SEE STRAIGHT. WHY CANT I TALK TO A HUMAN? I WOULD LIKE YOU TO REFUND ALL MY MONEY AND COME AND INSTALL A NEW MODEL IMMEDIATELY i WOULD APPRECIATE A CALL AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. OH MY GOD I SIMPLY CANNOT BELIEVE YOUR ARROGANCE. IT IS THE HOLIDAY SEASON AND FOLKS ENTERTAIN. UNLESS YOU CAN REMEDY THIS SITUATION AND PAY ME FOR ALL THE HATE AND DISCONTENT YOU HAVE CAUSED. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANYTHING MADE BY KITCHENAID

Just the same old run around....can't even find a phone number that works!!!!

The customer service of kitchen-Aid is a joke, And now I truly believe that this hasn't only happened to myself. My refrigerator stopped working stopped working about 3 months ago. They have send 5 technicians to my place in the beginning, for 2 months. nothing worked at all. they have sent wrong parts twice, that's 2 weeks of waiting. I have called them over 30 times in total, but only 6 times they called back. I bought my refrigerator for 1950.00 $, now they want me to pay over 800$ to do an exchange, and the model is now costing 1400$ on the market( searched on Google). after hours of hours of talking and waiting they said that the model is discontinued and they don't make anymore... then they offered a smaller refrigerator than mine and I still have to pay the price. A person from the store, where I bought the refrigerator told me that they should replace it for free, but I just don't understand why they are still asking too much. after waited almost 3 months ( close to christmas) I now still haven't got my refrigerator. so I decided to sue them, for the 5 weeks days I stayed at home to wait for the technicians to come, for nothing but waisted my time and waited for almost 3 months maybe more. and all the good foods that I have lost. It's too long to explain the whole thing but I am going to sue them so please comment if you have the same problems, we can sue them together! we should get what we paid for! ....RIDICULOUS customer service! it's a joke!!! Next time you call you should ask the executive's name and write it down. I won't say the name in this article but in the court room... wow UNBELIEVEBLE

Oh my god, I thought I was the only one who is doen with this company. The customer service is a joke and I would never buy another kitchenaid product I bought a stove a few years ago and the the large burner hasn't worked properly since i have bought it. We have had a repair man out to my house 5 times and changed everything and it still does not work right! I would NEVER buy another product from this company. Horrible customer service. The guy I delt with was a mono-tone, no nothing customer service rep and they should be ashemed to call him a supervisor. I wish I could figure our what to do next. Can someone please advise who I can contact to take my complaint further. I am lost here and the stove is becoming a safety hazard that I need to have addressed. I have two kids and I don't need my house to blow up since the burner never works and the 3 other burners dont get hot enough to barely boil water. Please email me if you know how to take this further. I am not going to be dealt like this and I will let everyoen know that Kitchen AID is a joke, and to not buy a thing from them. vabbatiello@yahoo.com

I am horribly disappointed in the quality of Kitchen Aid's ice maker and even more upset by the atrocious customer service by the company. I purchased my ice maker less than 5 years ago. In that time it stopped working TWICE. BOTH times, the repair was not covered under the warranty. The first time cost me $325. Shortly before Thanksgiving, it broke AGAIN. This time, the repairman suggested that I NOT get the $500 repair done. If I did so, I would have paid 1/2 the cost of a new unit AND He informed me that the next item to break was going to be the compressor - He could tell that it is on it's way out and when it does break, it will cost $900 to repair. He is right - between the repair that has been done, the one that needs to be done and the one that will be needed because the compressor is on its last legs, it will actually cost me as much or more than a new ice maker. Being very upset about this situation, I contacted Kitchen Aid Customer Service. The first customer service representative couldn't have cared less about helping me. I was informed by the gentleman that although the unit was less than 5 years old, the part that broke was not under warranty and there was nothing the company could do to help me, but I was welcome to spend $1500 on a new ice maker. Would I like to do that? I asked to be transferred to a supervisor, who also informed me that the company was sorry and she could send someone out to look at the unit, but since that had already been done there wasn't anything else she could do (and even if she sent someone out, I would have to pay for the extra service call and the repair, so why bother since it had already been done). I complained about the fact that the unit isn't even 5 years old and explained the situation as the repairman had explained it to me. Again, she said that she was sorry but that the company couldn't guarantee how long its products would last. Yes, she actually said that. She also asked me if I wanted her to help me purchase a new unit. I asked if they would pro-rate the price for me she very clearly informed me that that was never an option. I would have to pay full price for another unit whose product-life she couldn't guarantee would last. She then chastised me for not having spent more money on an extended warranty. When I told her that I wasn't offered an extended warranty, she offered me one - it cost more than the repair and wouldn't apply to THIS current repair because it was a known problem, but if anything else were to go wrong if would, of course, apply then. What is wrong with companies these days? They spend millions of dollars promoting the quality of their brands and trying to get people to purchase their products, but do nothing to retain their customers. Well Kitchen Aid, you are not the only game in town. I have two homes. The one which has the product that just broke and another one undergoing a kitchen renovation. Whose products do you think I'm NOT going to buy?!

If I could give 0 stars I would. I would encourage anyone who is not getting results from this company to contact the Attorney Generals office in Michigan, call 877-765-8388. You should also contact the Attorney Generals office in the state in which you live. I have never dealt with such a bad company. I bought 5 appliances and within the first month had to have 3 repaired. I am waiting as I write this for the repairman to put on a 4th door on my micro-wave. with down time waiting for doors and appointment have not been able to use this micro-wave for three of the ten months we have had it. KitxhenAid supervisors tell me that they do not replace appliances. If all of us file complaints maybe we will get some satisfaction. Tell everyone you know not to buy appliances from this company.

I really like the appliances I just bought, but Kitchenaid needs to do something about either quality control or packaging for shipment. Two of five appliances I received had scratches on the stainless steel. When I had new ones sent, THOSE had scratches too. I'm now going to receive my 4th cooktop and 3rd oven next week. Wish me luck. Fighting over this for 3 months so far.

BUYER BEWARE!!! We recently updated our whole kitchen with new appliances. Bought a coooktop from Kitchenaide and was told it was a reliable, good brand. Well, within the first year, our top cracked twice, the lower right burner stopped working and the exhaust fan will not turn off. We have to turn the breaker off in order to ensure we won't burn the house down. I called and they told me that it was not a danger and that, I quote, "sometimes there are problems with some of the products in a line". That was suppose to be alright with me??? I tried to talk to someone at headquarters but was always told that they couldn't patch me through. I will never buy Kitchenaide again, not because of the problems with my cooktop but because of the way they DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT AND TAKE CARE OF THE CUSTOMER AFTER THE SALE. I yearn for my Whirlpool and my Sears stove. I will try again to talk to them about the bad switch on the exhaust fan. If I get no support I will chaulk this experience up to a very expensive lesson (approx $1000) and go back to Whirlpool and Sears. THEY took care of me when I had an issue which was rare!

We purchased a side by side 6 yrs ago and this will be the 5th time we have had it worked on not to mention that no one seems to be able to fix the one thing that disturbs me the most. The area around the doors is fire hot!! They have made this huge refrigerator then you open it up and there is not room inside! Bunch of junk..we should all sue them and get our money back! Give me my old Sears that lasted 25 yrs!

I am really disappointed with my Kitchenaid ceramic cook top oven. The first time i experienced a problem, I had a spill over and because the control panel is in the front of the stove the water got into the panel and none of the controls would work. I had purchased warranty so the repairman came out and replaced the panel. A year later, the panel stopped working - the oven was on and would not shut off. I had to unplug the oven to stop it. The repairman came back out and put in a new panel. I realized I would have to keep buying the warranty since this was going to be a constant problem. The third time the panel stopped working, i called the repairman again but unfortunately he used a panel that did not have a button for the warming drawer. The panel looked similar to my previous one so i didnt realize that I was missing the button for the warming drawer. Since I barely use the warming drawer, by the time I realized I had the wrong panel, my warranty had expired. This year, I chose not to buy the warranty and today, my control panel has stopped working again! Fourth time in 4 years! And not to mention that it is very easy to spill grease in between the double glass door because there are open slots on the top of the door of the oven. And there is no way to clean the grease once it gets in between the double glass. Of course, Kitchenaid refuses to acknowledge that this product has some serious design flaws and expects me to keep dishing out money for their warranty. I will never ever buy another kitchenaide product and would be more than happy to join a class action law suit against this company.

I've been trying to get installed the under the counter microwave I purchased from Sears several weeks ago. Problem is, the first microwave was damaged and a new one had to be ordered, the second microwave was damaged and again they had to reorder. My question is " Is there a final inspection at the factory before parts are shipped to distributor". Ovens were damaged before they were packaged to ship..... It would have been nice to have the microwave before Thanksgiving to help with the cooking... Some INSPECTOR is not doing their job...

I'm not giving this a good rating until I find out what the HELL is going on with the production of this Pro 600 that I paid thru the butt for until I find out where it was made!! When I ordered it I asked and was told that it was built in this country. Then I get it in the mail and sure enough on the bottom it says assembled in the USA...which means it has foreign parts from who knows where and I've been lied to about it origins. I'm sick and tired of these so called "tea party" repubs going on and on how they love this country and "support our troops" while they go buy a damn car from korea or China or elsewhere!! I'm sick of foreign made products especially since I was told that things would be cheaper if it weren't for the damn UNION"!! All that happened was that the goddamn corporations got richer and now own our congress and supreme court and we middle class are left holding the bag!! I need for someone to call me and tell me that my mixer was made in this country or I'm sending it back!! And if this letter pisses you off then that's too bad!! I'm american and love my country I don't give the oath to friggin CHINA!! Neither should you!!

We bought a Kitchen Aid Dishwasher over 25 years ago. I have had only one service call. Now I had to call for service the other day because the water was not pumping out. The service man said I need a new motor, cannot get one because its been discontinued. I would be happy with a used motor that was still working because I know this was very well built - 25 years! The service man said you will never find a dishwasher built like this anymore - I hope he is wrong. Does anyone know where I can get a motor for my dishwasher - Model S62NX - JLY-7354 - part #9740410 - HP/l/2 ll5/60 AMP 7.9 Made in the USA. I would be so happy to get my dishwasher fixed. Thanks

Sadly, I purchased Kitchenaid appliances not too long ago. The Kitchenaid product is the worst. They keep pushing the fact to buy annual service agreements for their products, because they know they do not have a good product. They have to make money another way for their overture of spending money on labor and repair costs throughout the U.S. Kithenaid is not what it use to be of years ago. It is a lemon product.
