Terrible

This company has terrible customer service and their policies are designed to meet their needs, not the cutomer's.

Disgusted

I'm doing a project for my Marketing class to get me to their national competition and I called one specific store to ask the manager a question and I asked her if she had enough time for a question and she said no & then hung up the phone. You need to have good in-store customer service as well as over the phone. Horrible manager, I feel bad for anyone who has to work for her.

appalling quality

i have my shirts and to say i am disappointed is an understatement; 1. the material used is not medium or high quality, for value for money for £30.00 a shirt 2. there are loose threads hanging off all over the shirts 3. there is over stitching where there really shouldn't be. 4. button barely sewn on. 5. the sizing varies on the same style garment by 10cm out 6. the outer packaging it arrives in has cheap stickers on it. 7. the accompanying receipt looks like a Chinese factory, as it they have come direct from a factory, no branding on the receipt as part of the A&F experience they bang on about on their website. 8. additionally the receipt states the items are samples only to avoid having to pay additional cost for sending goods that are for sale, as opposed to samples, which they are not, but to be honest I've seen better pre production samples than this that were way of being good enough to be signed off for mass production. 9. the quality control of the factory my shirts came out of is very poor and having been charged £30.00 for each shirt I'd say A&F need to take a walk round their factories and read some of the comments below from other unhappy customers. A&F used to be a great quality cool brand and value for money. Go buy from another brand that actually prides it's self on giving you a good quality garment and is not just trading on a a historically good name that is now more on same level as primark as far as quality goes.

Polo shirt

I ordered a polo shirt for my grandsons 18th birthday in June 2012 it was €78 I was sent the wrong shirt from China. I e.mailed your office straight away. It sent me a standard e.mail. I returned the polo shirt to China in it's original packaging and was told I would receive the polo shirt ordered. After about 6 standard e.mails from you I am still waiting and it's now January 2013. I have asked to be rein bused . I am a senior aged 78 and cannot afford to lose this amount of money and get nothing for it. Please help me as I am now very very angry.

I am outraged by the return policy. I forgot my receipt at home Only to exchange pants for next size. I bought 2 days Ago for 24.90. Today they are 24.90 but they will only give me 12.45 toward the next size. Isn't that illegal? Customer service horrible. Manager at Connecticut West farms mall unhelpful and I am contacting corporate. I was a buyer at Saks Fifth Avenue. This is wrong to not Be able to do an even exchange even if its a holiday Gift. Crooks!!!!!! I've shopped there for years. Bye Abercrombie!!

Your advertising picture

I am a mother of a 14 yrs old girl who loves shopping at your store. We've been reviewing various items online and came upon the very first picture appearing on your site: a young male with two young female in rather very sexually suggestive shot - Ménage à trois. Typically, I am rather a liberal/understanding parent but find this picture very inappropriate for the core of your clientele - young teenagers. I believe your company needs to be more sensitive to who their audience is and what's appropriate. I am certain that Abercrombie&Fitch doesn't want to appear as a company promoting oversexualized behaviour in our youth.

Horrible customer service

I just spent several minutes writing a letter to this company explaining....THE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE...I have ever had in my life shopping at Abercrombie & Fitch to find out that so many of you you have had this same experiences. Im sure my complants will go unheard just all of yours have

Poorly lit store

This afternoon I stopped in Abercrombie at the Short Hills Mall in NJ. I was interested in buying a pair of jeans for my son. There was not a sales person in sight and speaking of sight, I couldn't even see. The lights are so dim I couldn't see the sizes. I attempted to look, reaching way above my head, to check out the waist and length. OK, they were black numbers on clear plastic strips, on dark jeans in a DARK store!!! The only way I can see the size was by peeling off the label and placing it under one of those poorly situated lights. I gave up and left! I will never step foot in that store again!

I went today. Black Friday 2012 to the A&F store in Asheville NC and I was very outraged with the way my friends were treated by a female associate. My friend was looking at hoodies and found one she was going to buy. The associate come over and said in a rude tone, "can you move?" With me being a guy that was raised to be polite I held all my anger in to cuss her out. I will be calling the store later in the day and I will be calling corp. She decided to put the hoodie she selected back down and decided to spend her money else where and I do not blame her.

consumer

There are many reasons why I choose not to shop your store. First, the atmosphere is not what I would consider consumer friendly. I'm not talking about the associates, I'm talking about the music that doesn't allow you to think or ask a question without yelling at a sales associate. Secondly, the mushroom cloud of Abercrombie colonge that consumes you like a gas chamber. Not only is the colonge highly offensive to my sinuses but it lingers throughout most of the mall. I'm sure its a popular scent, but it only turns my stomach because the smell floods the air and is too much. I'm sure you already hear enough complaints about pricing and I'll leave that issue alone. This may get disregarded much like any complaint on a forum like this because I've already mentioned I will not shop your stores. I will laugh when the times comes that someone has an allegeric reaction to your colonge and files a lawsuit against the company and wins because of your pollution which should be contained within your store.

The CUSTOMERS writing reviews who have bad experiences at the store, I apologize. I have been working for the company for almost a year (December 2012 will be a year) and I love my job. I give great customer service, and if you are a customer writing a bad review, it is because the employees at the store you went to were probably lazy, didn't care, etc. I would never change or quit my job. It's perfect. You make your own schedule, the other models and impacts are nice and friendly as well as the managers. Although, sometimes you may get that "Nazi" manager who wants everything done the company's way. I'll admit, the discount for the AAAs (what you wear to work) is really bad. It is only 50% off for 2 weeks, but I am currently writing a letter to the HQ to see if that can be fixed. If you like the company's clothes, you also get a 30% discount, but not off clearance items. They do spray the cologne, but after awhile you become immune to the smell. The music is repetitive and eventually you'll learn the words and sing and dance along with your friends. Overall, it is a nice job.

Terrible customer service- there is no way to get through to someone with authority. I bought jeans on sale that when I received them had a giant hole in the top seam. I have now been told that because they ran out of my size I may only purchase new jeans and the full price. They make you feel like it is your fault that their product was faulty. I have rarely received such bad customer care.

After being treated like complete crap in my local store, I tried to call corporate and was told there was A. I had to email my complaint. Unbelievable!!!! I then asked for a supervisor and was told NO there was not one available. I said I would wait, I was told NO!!! This happened not once but three times. This is not how you run a business, SHAME ON YOU ABERCROMBIE!!!

My son and I visited Abercrombie on Friday, October 13, 2012 at the Aventura Mall, FL . When we walked into the store, everybody was busy doing their own thing and did not acknowledge us. When I asked an employee to check for sizes it seemed like we were bothering them. I had to return to the same Abercrombie the next day, Saturday to exchange one of the items; a long sleeve shirt that had holes and the stitches were coming off. When I walked into the store, again nobody greeted me and when I reached the counter the only girl there acted like she could not be bothered, this was early morning and the store was empty. I told her that I needed to exchange an item so she called the manager. The manager was not friendly and began the transaction. She told me that I needed to pay a penny (0.01). I asked her why if it was an even exchange, she claimed that because of difference of taxes in states. She looked at my receipt and realized that I bought at the store the night before but still claimed in a very sarcastic way that she does not make up taxes and that I need to pay the difference. I asked her what was the price of the same shirt I was taking and she confirmed that it was $19.90. I then asked her; why do I need to pay a penny if I was getting the same shirt at the same price. She lost it and raised her voice and shouted again that she does not make up taxes and that if I wanted the shirt I need to pay the difference. There were was the employee who was waiting on me and another taking care of a costumer; they were both laughing. I raised my voice back and told her that I knew she does not make up taxes but it did not make sense that if I was doing an even exchange at the same store had to pay a difference even if it was a penny. Kerianne then threatened me saying that she was going to call security because I was causing a scene without realizing it was her who started. I asked her name, which she proudly wrote on my receipt,I gave her the penny and she finished the transaction and I left the store. I went across the hall to Hollister. I walked in and was greeted with a nice smile by one of their employees. It made me feel better! I asked for the manager who was also very friendly. I told her I had an incident at Abercrombie and I needed the contact for the headquarters. She gave me a card and I left. If I was the mother of Kerianne, I would not be proud of her. Arrogant & disrespectful, thinks she knows it all. I feel sorry for her; if she does not change her attitude she is not going far. She has a long way to go. This was very disturbing; I have never been disrespected like this. This woman had no sense of what costumer service is all about. What a bad example for the other employees. After reading all the bad comments and experiences from other people realized that the company indeed needs to take care of the bad costumer service they are offering. The clothes may be popular but with an improvement in customer service could do a lot better, so please spend some money training these youngsters that have no clue of what they are doing.

Abercrombie and Fitch should be on the list for WORST companies to work for. they have no regard for their employees, or even their customers, all they care about is their brand and how perfect it should look on the shelves, and on the "perfect" looking people wearing it. They say during your interview, you are not required to purchase the brand for work, but force ALL their employees to purchase and be fully clothed from hair style to flip flop in Abercrombie or they would be sent back home. First of all, these clothes are expensive, and a full outfit is more than whatever the $7.50 an hour pay the company offers to its workers can afford. Employees are used only to portray their brands in a good light, and are easily dispensable. They are constantly hiring everyday, any and everyone who looks good and putting them on the schedule, and so workers who have been there for ages, merit no hours to work, and can be in the same position working 10hrs a week for years. All in all it is a selfish company. They make millions of dollars off of in store slave labor

The ads that are ran on the website is poorly done. MY DAUGHTER wanted one sweeter and it was a redline the ad said additional 50% off all redline in store and on line. when called the reps as well as chatted on line with them they all told me that it was already in the price the key factor here is ADDITIONAL which means 50% off the price that is display. filed a compalint with the bbb. IN THE END i did not buy the item because of the misleading ad. i will never shop here again.

Worst customer service in the country. Company as such should not be in business. Rude customer service. Terrible service. Sad company with even sadder employees.

Racist company and it sad my family and I will stick to Ralp lauren and Hollister.
