This is perhaps the worst store for young people I have ever been in and I will never shop there again. I recently shopped at your Danbury Fair Mall abercrombie store in Danbury, CT. I encountered a very rude, couldn't be bothered to help me, store manager. A pair of jeans rang up for $39.90. I told him the sign said they are on sale for $29.90 and even showed him the sign. His response was, "Well, that's what the machine says, so tough." With that, I told him to forget about my $200 purchase, and that I wanted to speak with his manager. He then informed me that he was the manager. When I asked him for his supervisors name and what was their store number, he told me that he didn't give that information out. All this transpired with the music blasting in the store, so we basically had to yell at each other to be heard. It was the most infuriating shopping experience I have ever had. Can't wait for you guys to go out of business....cause in this economy it's coming your way.
I hate Abercrombie and Fitch and everything they stand for they are not diverse at all. How can a company claim to be something that they are not. They are so racist. and only hire people with good look what kind of crap is that? what about others who are willing to work? They pick conceited people who don't do a thing. The managers are rude I overheard one saying how fat a customer looked. ARE YOU KIDDING ME! They are the kind of people that brings peoples self esteem down. EAT DIRT!!! ABERCROMBIE!!!!!
I am tired of their pornographic advertising and refuse to ever purchase anything for my children or frieds again. They should be advertising as an Adult Porn Shop. They sell they sell clothes but, in reality, they sell filth!
While shopping at a Pennsylvania store yesterday with my son, our intention was to do an even exchange (with a receipt) for a pair of shorts that was too small. While there, he saw two other pairs of shorts that were on a table with a sign that read they were on sale for $29.90. I offered to buy them for him before going off to college. The transaction was completed, and as the sales girl was folding one of the pairs of shorts, I noticed there was a price reduction sticker that read $19.99. I asked her to make the appropriate adjustment to my debit card for the difference between the ticket price and the amount I had been charged. She needed the manager, who came to the register and promptly informed us that the ticket was wrong. I said that I should only be required to pay the price that was marked on the ticket and asked if perhaps there had been a previous sale and the stickers had not been removed. It was then that he said the shorts were never $19.99 and that they, "always have problems with people attempting to switch prices on merchandise." I was offended by what I perceived to be his implication that my son and I had engaged in that sort of activity. While the sales girl was continuing to make the price adjustment, she noticed that the second pair of shorts that we got from the same table was also marked $19.99, so she adjusted the price on both pairs of shorts....but while she was doing that, the manager proceeded to say, "it's very strange that the pairs of shorts that you have are marked down, but so far I can't find another pair of shorts on the table at that price." I told him to look at the price tags and the sale stickers. It was evident that they had not been tampered with or switched from other merchandise. Upon his thorough inspection, he readily agreed to that fact, but proceeded to say that, "people go out and buy price guns and come in here and re-ticket the merchandise all of the time." Again, I was offended by what he was implying. Should I have asked if he wanted to frisk us and for me to empty the contents of my purse?!!! We had given him no reason to suspect foul play on our part. He left the register and walked back over to the table and before we left the store, the sales girl apologized and said it was the store's mistake!! I was so angry by the way we were treated by an ignorant, 20-something, arrogant guy that as soon as I left the store I vowed I would call there later to speak to the store manager. Much to my surprise, the kid WAS the store manager!! I didn't bother speaking to him. I am writing a letter to corporate to express my disgust with the store manager. Where do they find these people??!! I'm done with A&F!!
I bought over $500 in clothing from your Abercrombie store in Park Meadows (Colorado). The next day I had to return one pair of jeans that my daughter picked up as a wrong size. When I spoke with the clerk she looked at me like I was a criminal and told me the jeans had been worn and washed. I assured her that my 11 year old never wore them. I bought them at 4pm on a Saturday and was in the store at 11am on Sunday. She was so convincing that this couldn't be the jeans because the tag looked washed. I then went all the way back home, spoke with my daughter who accompanied me an hour later. As I suspected, ALL the jeans looked that way--which I had to prove to the incompetent manager. When I showed her a whole STACK of jeans from the shelf that looked the same way, she said nothing, never apologized and finally made the EVEN RETURN. What is wrong with all these rude, snotty, overgrown brats you have working for you? I have many friends who I will tell this story to. We don't like rude crappy clerks here. I have FIVE children who 'USED TO' shop at Abercrombie-- a LOT. No more.
I patronize your store around August 02, 2010 at Orland Square Mall w. 151st LaGrange Rd. Orland Park, IL 60462. (708)403-4790. When reaching the register The male at registar allegely states he is the manager Matt Bailey,5'9,dirty blonde hair, fro locks of hair, pale. I found that I misplaced my card and asked if he could go to the next customer. Matt Bailey rudely replied NO. So I insisted that he cancel the purchase. After this customer I did find my card and unfortunately purchased the items. Since then I purchased other school clothes items at a different store. But one of the tees were to small and I needed to exchange for a larger size on August 17,2010 at 11:30a.m. at this nearby Ambercrombie. This same male Matt Bailey was at the register along side of a male name George assisting him. The gentlemen George was polite and assisted me with the exchange until lack of customer service skills Matt Bailey intrudes that I don't know if we have the same shirt to exchange. Then he walks away comes back with the shirt states I needed to pay additional funds to exchange tee because I bought it at Woodfield Mall. I asked for my shirt back. Matt Bailey rudely tossed the 2 tees around and threw my original purchase into a bag. I have research the companies cmplaints besides mind and plan to further voice my complaints regarding your employees poor customer servce. And evidently this is acceptable at this company because of how blunt & bold the employee was to give his name. I guess Abercrombie and Fitch has forgotten we the consumer are the ones that keep you in business and Matt Bailey to coninue to be employed with a paycheck. I want be happy until you cleanup your stores and hire professional, friendly, qualified persons to call themselves managers. Along with customer service skils.
I understand that you are going to publish a catalogue that is to come out in July, portraying pornographic pictures of children. It is very disturbing that you feel the need to become a porn pushing store rather than a wholesome, family oriented business. Needless to say, I will not shop your store and I will alert all my friends who normally do shop in your store of your action. My hope is that you will see that this is harmful to our children and youth, while you are playing into the hands of perverted people who "get off" on this type of thing and providing them with free entertainment at the expense of the children that you are using in the ads.
I returned an item today that was received as a gift for an EVEN exchange at my local Abercrombie store. as a result of that return I had to pay an additional $5.12 because the promotional price was no longer in effect. I have never heard of such a ridiculous return policy on an even exchange.
