You people need to start reading these reviews. I had a bad experience in Monroe, N.C. this past Saturday. The staff acted like they were trained by monkeys from a zoo. They started hosing down the floor and scrubing it with nylon brushes throwing water everywhere. Then they decided to crank up the music disregarding the fact that people came there to actually EAT ! We asked if the music could be turned down, No ! was the reply. Wake up people, you aren't the only people that serve food, even through most of your employees act like it.

Gentlemen, the waffle house at Lindbergh and Baptist Church Road in St. Louis is very poor. My wife and I were having breakfast and the ladies working there were trying to lower the blinds because of the sun. The blinds are so dirty that when they were trying to lower them (they don't work) dirt fell in our food. Won't be going back to any Waffle House soon.

i call to have my order placed, the waitress said a few words than she literally slammed the phone down. i called back i heard her say she will not take my order on the phone its her new policy. i had to call a 3rd time to get the corporate number and at first i was refused the number until i repeatedly had to request it over and over again. very bad service. needs to be handle waffle house deltona, florida store number # 1391

The waffle house in kansas city ks. on kansas ave... I was working there for 6 months, i got a tex message from the manager that my services wasnt needed any longer. I texed back why i was told it was because my boyfriend was hanging out to long in the evenings, he was coming in at 8:30 pm to eat dinner after he got off work and then would wait for me to get off at 9:00 pm a 45 min wait??? later that month that manager was moved to anouther store when i talked to the new manager about coming back to work he said he wasnt sure he should hire me because i was fired for stealing!! WTF??? There was a manager there that would bring in her boyfriend who was not an employee and have him do some of her work take out the trash, restock ect...i was at work on tuesday when the cops,distrect manager and the owner showed up to arrest her and her boyfriend and question a waitress because the weekend money was never dropped off to the bank $1500 was missing..and the tapes showed manager and boyfriend walking out with the night depostits.. heres the kicker...she was arrested the owner got her out of jail that night and she was back at work the next day, she was eventually moved to anouther store and all charges dropped cause the owners filed it under their insurance... the most crooked owners ive ever worked for My sister has worked there for 2 years the owner offered her a raise she never got it the manager offered her a raise but never gave it she walked out and quite her job the owner and manager called her and begged her to come back with a raise....that never ever came.....

Waffle house on US42 in Florence, Ky has got to be the coldest waffle house I have ever been to. Its 32 degrees out side and 22 degrees in the waffle house only when Daniel works thursday thru Saturday. Waffle house is said to be cozy and friendly inside.

the food and the service at the Waffle House in St. Charles. Mo. on hwy.94 is horrible; my husband and I went to this one and when we got our food it was cold not vey flavorful and the service was worse. The waitress's weren't very attentive and acted like it was an imposition to keep the drinks filled, in short they were LAZY. The management as far as I am concerned is very POOR. This was the first and the last time that my husband and I will ever go to any Waffle House. Someone seriously needs to check this place out and straighten out the service and food.

Last year, I was a return Waffle House employee when my adopted son died. I had only been back for four months when he died. My unit manager refused to give me proper funeral leave, so I had to reschedule my son's funeral to fit my work schedule, which cost me 3 paychecks worth of fees, then when I came to work the day after I had the ceremony, he fired me for being unable to fake being happy. My son died, and I wasn't given an ounce of respect or compassion for that fact. I was dumb-founded by such behavior. What company treats their employees with this type of discompassion? Worse yet, I haven't got my W-2's for last year and the current unit manager won't even get off his duff to give me the proper contact information to do so. Waffle house may have the good food fast part down, but the friendly part is definately lacking. I have never witnessed such a blatant lack of professionality. I was treated better at Burger King.

FORMER MANAGER TRAINEE:: Baton Rouge, Louisiana I worked for Waffle House Franchise in Baton Rouge, Louisiana for approximately four (4) months. Initially I was beyond excited and ready to work, that was short lived. I advise No one to Ever work for Waffle House as a Manager unless you have no life, mind to give up your life, or are ready to be treated as if you are the lowest place on earth. In order to be successful at Waffle House, you must be willing to say, "yes sir/yes ma'am" to everything at all times, as well as work 55-75 hours per week and take home no more than $550 at during any given week. Waffle House has some type of screwed up mathematical payroll scale. If you ever have a problem with you checks, they fixed it, but take out 35% of your gross and claim that it's being applied to your taxes. As a Manager you are told that you will receive seven (7) days paid vacation days.. this is a time that you will never see. It is virtually impossible to receive your two (2) days REQUIRED by the Waffle House Corporation, not to mention receiving more than that at any given time. I noticed that someone mention the VP's name (Pat Leary), and the Division Manager's name (Amanda Super) in their post.. These are two (2) people that will change your life for the ENTIRE time that you work there. They are both people that strongly believe in retaliation. If you Ever do anything that they don't agree with, they will personally do all that they can to make your life with Waffle House a living hell. The District Manager for the area I worked in, has been there for almost 14 years, and told me that when he wanted to go home for a family member's wedding (overseas), he was threatened to have his job taken away from him. This after never asking for day's off in the past. As a Manager Trainee you are told you will work not more than 12 weeks in training before being given your own store.. again I was in training for over 16 weeks. I trained so long that I begin to train other new Manager Trainees but was told from another manager that Pat Leary didn't think I know how to run the store after having been forced to run a different store location that he never visited nor had to visit because everything remained on the up and up while I was in position there. The staff at Waffle House lack managerial skills so much that they Push you to quit so that you can't go an file for unemployment. I don't believe Anything that goes on at Waffle House is based on a black/white issue.. Just Greed, No respect, and Favorites. If you have Any plans of Working here, DON'T.. U N L E S S you are ready to give up life as you know it. I worked 65 hours weekly on average with a smile on my face, and the first day I called in sick (six hours before my shift) with a horrible stomach virus, (after having gone into work that very day and worked seven (7) hours, I was asked to return that night and work 12 hours straight), I was told, "They don't want to invite you back to work." Ironically my supervisor (the division manager) caught the same virus and missed the entire next day of work.

The waffle house in vidor,tx is kept so cold you have to wear winter coats. When I asked for an accident form to turn in my medical bills from getting sick from the cold they claimed they didn't have any. one of the waitresses quit because they wouldn't let her wear a coat in there. I have seen several customers walk out because it was too cold . I have always liked the waffle house but this one is a terrible example of your service. They must pay a whopping big light bill.

I love waffle house but I am upset about the senor discounts, I eat every sunday morning in Clinton s.c. and I ask why do you not give senors discounts all other places do , the supervisot that day said you can get it you have to ask. Well we got it two sundays in a row I went in today on monday and the waitress first said i needed id I gave her that then she ssaid discount for senors not on the board, i pepeated what was said to me so she went and ask the manager he said no,,, WELL IN CLINTON QWE HAVE PRESBYTERIAN COLLEGE AND YOU GIVE THEM 10% OFF AND US SENORS NO, WHATS UP WITH THAT.

3/5/11 The service at your establishments are GREAT! I apologize but this email is a COMPLAINT. Your Winder,Ga location on Mae (or May) Street is extremely too cold. I know of two couples who have stopped going there because of the coldness and this morning, I heard multiples of people/customer complaining about the coldness, even some of the waitresses were commenting. We were told that someone was going to fix the problem but while we were there about an hour, it was never addressed.. Our food got cold before we could eat it as did the food in the booth behind us. The couple behind me gave me the location of another local restuarant that serves breakfast in Winder,Ga. We have also supplied other eating locations to other customers. Last year, the same problem existed with no one doing anything about it. This morning, the temp outside was 45 while inside it was colder. If your cooks/employees are so hot natured that they need cold air blowing, would Waffle House Corp please provid floor fans that will sit behind the counters for the employees to stay cool by. A comfortable temp for your customers should be more important. Already as I said earlier, we know of two couples who have left because it is too cold and we decided after this morning, we will not go back either. Hope someone in Corp will take care of this problem and STAT... There were grown men in jackets this morning complaining about the coldness and they said they would have to eat in a hurry in order to eat their food before it got cold.

unit 1112, weaverville,NC, i use to come in all the time 4 times a day. i loved the people there and the boss there. they recently changed managment, witch really sucks, jack lunsford was always there and he had good people skills, he delt with every situation, now the new one he is a young brat, who doesn't have people skills, let alone the ones who work there are all young, and dont have a clue what to do, this one waitress bobbiejoe, plays a story on every one who walks threw the door. i saw this one elderly man give her $90.00 for her tip. how can you sleep at nite. knowing he probably lives month to month, where is the manager during this, hell he promotes this, they dont have but 4 people total, left from the crew, and i over heard two of the girls saying they were leaving, please make them happy, cause when they loose janet and kc, shelly, beth i will not be back!!!!!!!!!!!!! as well as the cooks jack hired, wayne and gene. please investagate this, i love comming to waffle house but i dont like hearing waitress's problems, like there driveways, there goats, i want people to listen to me, i am paying for this. now if i ask how there kids are doing thats one thing, but bobbiejoe, needs to be a wal-mart greeter. me and 3 other regulars feel the same way..... weaverville needs a new manager....... I am currently employed with Waffle House. I have been employed by Waffle House for about 8 months now. I really enjoy my job. I have been in the restaurant business for over twenty years, I have management experience with Hardee's, Burger King and a family seafood reastaurant. I must say that I have never worked any where quite like this place before. I was interested in going into management only to be told that they do not promote from with-in....I think that is crazy, how can a company just hire someone off the street instead of promoting from with-in. I work hard, I never leave at the end of my shift without having all of my sidework done.....I am so fed up with the way the store looks when I come in to start my shift......and what makes it even worse is when the manager seems to ignore the problems with-in this store. I came in Saturday night to work my normal 9pm-7am shift.......as always I arrived about 20-25 mins before my shift, I walked into a mess....no ice, fill-ups not done, and no clean silverware to work with, this really ticked me off...come on you did a $340 shift with two servers there is no excuse in this and instead of the manager saying anything to the employee who was about to walk out and leave the store looking this way the manager goes and does the work for her. I think that is bullshit......if I was the manager sorry but A few people would be gone. Everybody wants a check but seems they don't wonna work for it. I would not bother writing this because I do relize that everyone has different work ethics so I usally just keep my mouth shut and roll with the flow, but I am at the point that I really wonder what has the world come to.I think that people should be promated on the basis of what he or she can do but it appears to me that if you are over the age of 30 you can hang up any hopes you have of making Waffle House a carrer. Anyways it is what it is.

I was a cook at the Peachtree City store. My father passed away and I took the day off for his funeral 1 day and got fired. I tried to file unemployment and they denied me saying I was supposed to work that day. What happened to beareavement 3 days. All I asked for was 1.

The manager ricky is the dumbist manager ever , needless to say Asistant manager james a kid is an idiot to. the meat in the coolers tempture 70 degrees witch should be 42! but they dont care they still serve it so the managers can get there bonuses! the place is nasty , roaches , the waitress wear what they want. I have A lawyer looking into some civil rights that may be violated, plus they make you sign a contract to work there(they take out 35cents An Hour for eats) I dont eat there (i Like to stay healthy) this place has a rude awaking real soon,with all the information i have documented over the years. I worked for Waffle house in Baton Rouge the O'Neal lane location. I was fired due to a shortage. Amanda Super informed me (in a text message) that there was 50 dollars short between the night and morning shift. I had worked the night shift and got off at 5:30a.m in the morning. Was never in the morning shifts drawer. A man named Robert came in and releived me at 5:30 a.m. And then he worked the morning shift beginning at 7 a.m. Pat Leary told Amanda Super to fire the server that was using both drawers, the common denominator. I left the building that morning at 6 a.m. I have worked for Waffle house several times through the years starting in 1994. I worked at different locations off and on and never had a problem with shortages. A girl that I was working with that night actually had felony charges pressed against her at Walmart for a drawer shortage, it is in the local papers. I transferred from Walker to O'Neal because of racism in Walker. I have never been treated so low in my life by a manager named Demi. Several women let me know I wasn't the only one. I actually enjoyed my work and working there, and I am a good server. Now I feel I cannot apply at a different location. I had dreams of making management and beyond, Waffle College was a dream.
