Last night my family I took my nephew out for dinner, his favorite place being Waffle House. We were at WH #1618 in Havre de Grace Maryland. We walked in and the place was empty except for the cook and two wait staff. Sitting at the front of the restaurant, we started looking over the menu's. The next thing we heard was "Daniel" (the cook) screaming obsceneties (and trust that NO word was left from A-Z) and complaining about how day shift people didn't do anything right. We let this go on for about 2 minutes, then I informed the waitress - loud enough for Daniel to hear - that he needs to watch his mouth, that we have kids here. A few minutes later, Danile begins again, but this time complaining about US... that our kids are not little and that should have already heard these words. REALLY, Daniel?!?!? We got up, and as we were leaving he continued to run his mouth in front of my kids. Bottom line - it doesn't matter if we have little kids, big kids, no kids - NO CUSTOMER SHOULD BE SUBJECTED TO SUCH VULGARITIES AND TRASH TALK. If #1618 doesn't terminated Daniel, that will be the end of us ever eating at ANY Waffle House as we will know that WH is **NOT** family friendly and only caters to fou mouth and vulgar trash.

I have worked at Unit 1295 for over 5 years and Corporate want us to be dressed accordingly to THEIR CODE OF UNIFORM!!, However they will not provide Unit 1295 with new shirts or aprons, even with new Division Manager's request, and not only sm I, but several other servers have been in the same shirts and aprons for our 5 years.. Enough is enough, please provide us with proper uniforms ASAP, or we will resort to wearing our own apparell!!!

We just ate in the Waffle House location at exit 18 off interstate 75 in Valdosta Ga. Great, friendly staff and the taste of the food was outstanding. We are Waffle House regulars but were traveling from Ohio. This is a great place to enjoy a quick sit down dinner.

They did the figures for what it takes to meet all of OSHA'S minimum PEL'S on shs/ets.......Did it ever set the debate on fire. I couldn't sleep the other night so at about 0300 a.m. I went to the Waffle House #974 to get a Burger or something...I noticed most of the tables were dirty from other customers and hadn't been cleared yet on the right as I walked in so I sat at the Counter. I ordered and then sat back to wait. I then watched as the apparent cook sauntered up to the Fry station looking his Sunday best, NOT, that is a joke, he was unshaven in the areas where there was no beard, and his clothes looked like they were slept in and his Waffle House apron was dirty with what appeared to be food items and grease stains of long standing duration. I then took a long look at the stainless steel counters from the Waffle Station which had piles of spilled dough surrounding them add the base on the support counter, to the extra fry pans sitting on the far left side of the griddles with bits and pieces of egg still atttached to them. The Stainless steel counters themselves were covered with grease and dirt and one to the Refrigerated Unit was half way hanging off. The Floor underneath the alleged Cooks feet was littered with broken egg shells and the garbage bucket there had the liquid from the eggs and bits of other food dripping off it unto the floor which met up with other food items that had been dropped there and not cleaned but stepped on by the Cook. Under the Grill itself was spilled food and then they had the Red Plastic Bucket, with some kind of black substance lining the inside like it was an Old Tar bucket, obviously a grease bucket hanging off a piece of the grill unit. The Cook dumped a couple of ladles of liquid something on the grill and dumped a load of prepared Hash Browns into the liquid and the added a couple of pork chops to the liquid and covered it with a lid.. Next he did a similar operation with my eggs in a skillet taken from the left side of the grill, where the dirty ones were but I could not see if it was one of the dirty ones..When my Pork Chop and Eggs were served, I found it necessary to use six of your Napkins to soak up the grease and water from the Pork Chops and another 3 Napkins to soak up the excess butter and grease from the Eggs. I asked for Wheat Toast and Got White Toast instead. I worked as a Teenager in a small similar style Resturant called the White Cottage in Upstate New York and I also attended a mandatory State 40 hour Training Course for Food Service Workers, I also worked in a Retail Fish Establishment as a Cook and 45 years later Retired as a Manager from a large Southern California County Agency. Basically Resturant #974 was the most disgusting and filthest and dirtest food establishment I have been in since my last trip to Tijuania Mexico whose street corner Kitchens would rate an A+++ compared to your filthy establishment..It was bad enough that the facility itself was in such poor conditon, but your Cook as well..You can bet I won't be going to that Resturant ever again. Instead I will go the couple of miles further on down the road to IHOP!

Well it has been 3 weeks now. My husband was almost burned buy a cook who was pooring chili into a container, where he was not supposed to( near our seat). My husband told him not to pour it there and well he did not listen.. Hot Chili all over is shirt,it was ruined thankfully he was not burned. I called the Corp office, and I sent the shirt to them. The Waffle house location sent them the tape so they could see what happened. No response yet from Corp yet. I wonder what is going on! I am folowing up with them. I wonder, they did not even offer to pay for the shirt to be sent to them I had to do that too. The cook is still there which is fine no ill will hope he learned from the mistake,but as for Waffle house Corp.if they had a 0 raitng for customer service thats what they deserve.. Not even an offer of any kind..

I myself worked at waffle house 1862 in wadesboro nc for 10 months. I was a good waitress missed very few days always would come in if someone called out hell did the managers job very often. With this being said my checks continuously kept coming up short. On 9/11/11 I went to get paid and my tips were calculated wrong on my check so I spoke with my manager ROBERT KELLEY about it. He rudely told me to call the division manager about the situation. Trying to be the bigger person in the situation I asked him if he would just look over my tip log....but wait he claims that I dont have one. Other employees one being a relief manager verified that she seen me filling out the log. I then stepped to the back and called the associate hotline, the district manager, and the division manager but couldn't get an answer so I left messages. I then sat at the low counter and waited for a reply. The manager then called me to his office and started fussing and carrying on about how he wasnt going to let me cause a scene in his store. I told him that I was waiting on a reply from his manager. He then stated that I was raising my voice and that I was fired. How unfair. I dedicated myself to waffle house and I know everything that goes on behind those doors. ROBERT KELLEY HAS DROPPED CUSTOMERS FOOD ON THE FILTHY FLOORS AND SERVED IT TO THEM WITH A SMILE. HE IS TAKING MONEY OUT OF PEOPLES CHECKS AND USING IT FOR HIS OWN GOOD. WHAT A RIP OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT EAT AT UNIT 1862 YOU ARE GUARANTEED TO WAIT 30 MINUTES BEFORE YOUR ORDER IS TAKEN. THE CHEAP ASS ORDERS BROWN LETTUCE FOR YOUR SALADS. IF A TOMATOE IS ROTTED YOU WOULD EXPECT IT TO BE THROWN AWAY RIGHT... NOT IN WADESBORO! ROBERTS CHEAP ASS WILL SAY CUT OFF THE PART THAT IS ROTTED...IN GENERAL WAFFLE HOUSE IS A POOR PLACE TO WORK AND A POOR PLACE TO EAT

My wife and I were at the Brown Switch in Slidell, La. Waffle House and I was applying for cook. One of the employees convinced my wife that he knew where our son was and if she would give him $100 and her iphone he would give it to him so he could call and have money to get home. He said he was giving it to the manager so when he came in he'd get it. We live in Mississippi and our son is somewhere on the East Coast he didn't even know him. The manager told me they turned the phone into the police, Slidell Police say they weren't given it and now they say the young man is no longer there and it has been months the the district manager has been investigating it. My wife is disabled and this was so low---and to continue to get the runaround. I called in a complaint and that is how the district manager started, every time I talk to him he says- I taking my time to get to the bottom of this. I'm 56 years old, my wife 49 this is not something that should be taking the rest of my life.

I went into waffle house for breakfast. Told waitress i wanted my waffle after i ate my eggs. She brought me it anyway. I told her not yet. So it sat on counter for a few minutes, then the cook put the waffle on top of the waffle iron to keep it warm.I told her i was ready, she brought me the waffle from top of the iron. How disrepectful and nasty. The manger told he was keeping it warm for me. He said it was on 400 degree's and would be alright. What a joke. I will tell everyone I know not to eat there. I reported it to the Health dept. and to head of waffle House. This was in Springfield Mo. I have work in food service for over 20 year's and I would never do this to a customer. All beware of this Nasty place. Watch the staff and mainly the cook's or manager's. What a joke.

I was a working at unit 668.. forrest city Arkansas... I got fired for taking food home off duty I was warn that we couldn't do this so I got fired over a wffle n other people got warnings. Why couldn't I. I wworker n I don't but that was crooked n it was the district manager who fire me... The Waffle House in Brentwood Tennessee is the best i have been in yet, the morning shift is amazing and the cooks are just awesome. I have also been there on the night shift and had a absolute ball with them they were friendly , personable and just right on point. go visit them i guarantee they will not disappoint you!!

Went to the location in mesquite tx, off hwy 80 And beltline. Have been there maybe 5 times This year. In the past I went minimally once a Week. The past 5 times, my experience there Was terrible. Because I'm a forgiving type Of person and know things change, I decided To go back and give it a try, since it's such Close proximienty to my home. I went in, and Still the same disfunctionsble crew at work. It was Not even busy, thats what makes it so ridiculous. I even witness a cook taking a personal call, While slicing tomatoes, did not wash his hands I'm a restaurant manager myself, and all that Crew I would never hire, it's just totally sad And even though that WF is one minute away, I will never go there again

If I had to choose between driving a 1970 Ford with a 302 and a brand, spanking new GM (government motors) vehicle...I'd choose the old Ford! And, if I had to choose between eating at the neighborhood Waffle House and one of these cookie cutter franchised fast food joints that microwave everything...you bet I'd go for Waffle House's fresh cooked food everytime! I can't be guaranteed a smile on every waitress and cook at each visit, but I CAN be assured that my food is cooked hot and fresh everytime right when I order it! I love Waffle House!

Went to eat Saturday night. after ordering one of their new baked potatoes the waitress tells me they do not have them. then tells me to wait a minute comes back with an old looking potatoe in her bare hand, cuts it open and smells it and tells me yes she has one that is still good. I should have left then, however waited for my plate, when it arrived the potato (still looking a week old) had a slice of cold cheese on top and a strip of bacon (loaded potatoe). Then to top it all there was a HUGE DEAD COCKROACH ON MY PLATE! I was almost physically sick and took off along with all other customers around me. If In Monroe GA, DO NOT EAT THERE!

I worked @ wh in sunbury ohio. My unit manager was unprofessional. She had me work first second and third all in 3 days I had a family emergency she would not let me leave 2 make sure my husband was ok. I didnt have a sitter 4 my daughter I told her I would b late she said I had 2 call 8 hrs b4 my shift then fired me via txt message! What a horrible person and wh needs 2 investsgate her!

I AM THE WAFFLE HOUSE KID!!! Let it be known that Waffle House does not stand up for people. When I went to work for them in 1981 I was screwed by the owners son Steve in the back seat of a brand new car and then kicked to the curb.Then at 2.13 per hour and what gratuity I could fill my apron with I would take my ass to the nearest bar. Now some would say that that was reason enough for the Engel rapes that happened to me. I was under paid, over worked and definitely a rape victim more times than one by my so called employer. So I have a wait and watch system for all you corporates. I am 48 years old and trust that I am just getting started. I will never forget the bullshit of working for your company. I have been around since I was around 7 or 8 years old. At this point I fill that you assholes owes my family lots of vacations and every monroe that we can get out of you. Ya'll are not about helping people and I totally resent your high dollar shitbox food. To be continue!!! 0 Stars

The waffle house in lake oconee is the best and cleanest and has the nicest staff I have ever seen in a waffle house. My food came out very fast and my waitress charise was absolutley the best I will keep coming back for her to wait on me as long as the regional manager, Ann Creel isn't there!!!!

waffle house in the northern atlanta area inside the perimeter. do not eat at most waffle houses. they are unsanitary even tho their health inspector says they passed. it's unbelievable how filthy the handwashed dishes and the drinks are prepared. the managers do not care about their jobs. leave their jobs and return hours later.

The food is usually very good at Waffle house, but the last three consecutive times I've been to the WH in Dothan, Alabama there was a hair in at least one of my plates or bowls. The most recent and last time I have eaten there the 20-something waitress/cashier gave my girlfriend and I the strangest look, completely staring us down almost the entire time we waited on our to-go plates. Since we both ordered Philly cheese steak sandwiches with hash browns on the side she asked with a stern voice if I wanted onions- to which I replied "Oh, sure that'd be great actually, thanks". There were hardly any costumers and it was barely noisy at all that time and I'm absolutely certain I said this with a clear voice, but after literally 10 seconds of her staring back and forth at my girlfriend and I with the most blank expression I've ever seen I repeated myself a little louder with the same tone. She pierced her lips a little, raised an eyebrow, looked at me again as she scribbled on her notepad, and walked away. My girlfriend and I chatted at the bar counter until our order was ready. She was also working the cash register for most of the customers I guess so she rang us up. We paid for our food as she continued to VERY SLOWLY ring us up. The whole time this happened she continued to stare me straight in the eyes with the same blank expression. I sort of just looked about the room until she got my change together. When she finally did she almost threw the receipt and coins at me as she tossed me takeaway bag into my other hand. ( I know this is probably a small complaint none of this is an exaggeration, if anything it's an understatement). After I thought about it a while I think it's because We're lesbian and she might have somehow picked up on this (we only talked about my dog's vet visit but maybe it's my short pixie cut hair that gave me away haha) so maybe she had a problem with it, after all you don't exactly have to have a doctorate to work as waitress. My girlfriend and I were both a little creeped out, but just brushed it aside as we got into the car and saw our food. The food looked fantastic and tasted even better! We actually couldn't wait to get home so we began eating it outside of Waffle House in my car. About half-way through my dish I noticed a short, thick, curly, dark hair hanging from my mouth; I pulled it out. I'm not eating at Waffle House anymore. :/

i was in the waffle house tonite the one in vicksburg ms over by the ford place well ever one that was working to nite 9-14 -2011 was so high on drugs me and my family could not get nothing to eat the worker was laying all over the booths or thay was sleep up on the high bar the cook was at his car we dont know what he was doing some one need to fire ever one that was working tonite that was wrong that my kids had to see all of that we was just trying to get home and stoped to get a bite to eat but need less to say we did not get it there we drove on over to jackson to eat
