I want to take a minute to rave about the great service that I continue to receive from the WH in Union City , GA located on Flat Shoals. The the dining room is always clean and presentable. I love the fact that they know me and most of their customers by name. They are always asking (implied) how can I please you. High level of customer service is demonstrated on a daily bases. Tiffany is the waitress who generally takes my order. She is able to work and get the job done, while she takes a moment to inquirer about my well-being. Please know that you have a set of special employees at this location.
Hey i ate at waffle house on my 76th bday Store 68 panama city fla,and the cook was so rude to me and that poor waitress .His name was Mikeand the waitress name was Pam. I felt more bad for her then me cause she has to put up with it all week she says.Just was discusted with his attitude and will not eat there anymore on my vacation. I told him light grease cause of my heart condition and my hash browns were soaked with grease i just wont right.
i worked for waffle house for 5 years. went through 13 mangers. the last one we got Sam was the most coldest hearted person i have ever worked for. 24 yr old with NO people skills. his accomplishments are because of his SERVERS and COOKs. i miss most of the employees but we are not trash to be walked over. they DO NOT care about their employees. MONEY is all they care about. its not the way the founders wanted employees to be treated. everyone is a thief, yet, the ones stealing they let them get away with it. While visiting your place in Gastonia,NC i was not given any jelly and very little butter on my toast.The waitress gave me jelly but done nothing about my toast,not even offering to get me any butter.It used to be a pleasure eating at the Waffle House,but now nobody seems to care if you come there or not.This seems to be the normal way you do buisiness there now.I spent 11.36 and no one even bothered to say thank you.Some one needs to get off there ass around there.In this economy it looks like you would treat your customers better if you want them to come and eat at your place.It is no wonder there were no customers in the place.
I currently work as a grill operator at a waffle house in Kentucky. I recently switched franchises, and I am training to be a unit manager(I have managed waffle house previously). What can I say? Waffle House is my life, and so is providing top notch customer service everyday! I find it agonizing and embarrassing to read all the bad experiences on this site. I don't believe the complaints are an inaccurate portrayal. But these types of incidents certainly don't happen in units I have worked or are familiar with. Then again, I have a college education, a great attitude towards the folks I encounter, professionalism, and all my teeth. By the way, I have a clean background and can ALWAYS pass drug tests. Corporate WH requires such as I have listed, as well as checking consumer reporting agencies regarding your credit, and even verify your social security number, as well as ensuring you are not on any U.S. gov't databases as being unemployable. Call me strange but I am the waffle house guy with an ironed uniform shirt and pants who looks the part and is the part. I certainly do not mean to brag. All I am saying is that you can find great Waffle House locations all over the country. As well, I know some of them fail to deliver, and that bothers me. I just wish more employees in these failing units realized that everyone must participate to make it "America's place to work,America's place to eat"
On our Christmas trip, we stopped in Brookhaven, MS, and found a sharp contrast to the WH in our town. There was a big accummalation of food and trash on the floors, especially under the food preparation area, the counters and tables were filthy, the menus looked like they had never been cleaned, and the service matched the store. We have a nice store in Orange, TX, and I have eaten in other units in the area, which were clean, good service and good food. Maybe a call to the health department would benefit this unit. This comment is not to gripe, but to try to get a "fix" for this unit. Thank you.
I used to sprog at store 192 in Arlington, Tx and as soon as I was hired, I saw the favoritism right away. The district mangers daughters worked there as well as a couple of employees that had been there for at least 4 yrs. The mangers, unit and district let the older employees get away with virtually everything including drinking alcohol and smoking weed but pretended not to know what was going on. Most of the employees didnt have front teeth from doing drugs, they were so gross. I always wondered who would want to look at someones gums while they ate. I did what I was supposed to do but since I was insuffeciently trained, it took a toll on my job. When I got fired, I called the qh hotline and told them about the drugs, the alcohol and my manager sexually harassing me. Curate acted shocked but took no further action regarding the matter. All in all, wh is a disgusting place and they favor disgusting people. If you look like youve been.on the streets for two weeks, you would be a perfect candidate for employment. The cooks don't even wear gloves when they cook ppls food. I had several ppl throw their food away bc the cook touched it with bare hands.
As a regular customer, I over hear regular complaints about the hard-working employees at the cumming, Brannon road, cumming location. It seems the manager, makes derogotory statements against certain servers. Very personal, very unprofessional, shows much favortism, and he needs to be reprimanded for his very unprofessional behavior and special treatment to some of the employees. I do not believe that the customers should hear such negativve statements. And, it is very obvious that this restaurant is run with the utmost unfairness. I don't understand why he is not investigated and written up for such poor judgement and the customers shouldn't be the ones to be writing this to you. Obviously, the workers feel if they express their opinions about what is really going on there, that their jobs are at jeaporady. Mananagement, do something about this, it reflects in a very negative way with with regular customers that see this unprofessionalism on a regular basis. Something has got to be done about the favortism at that store. I am considering moving my business to a differnt restaurant, entirely. Due to the fact that I cannot ontinue to watch the rudeness and unfairness going on at that store, seriously. You have to act on this observation. The manager should not get away with the "special treatment." against Waffle House employees. something need to be investigated and right away. very concerned customer, respecctfully submitted.
I was visiting the Waffle House at 4214 Warrenton Road/I20 Exit 1A, Vickburg MS. 39180 on 12/10/11 prior to a funeral. 601-636-7161The table was not clean when myself and guest sat down. I ask the waitress Linda if she would wipe the table off, she replied I just cleaned this table and she wiped it down again. This older I thought mature women would have a better attitude to be working with the public. From the start it went down hill. Her attitude was horrible. After taking the orders with a very unfriendly mood. Order turn out fine, except eggs on one order was not scambled hard instead of easy. After that Linda never returned to the table.Did not check on us at all, needed more water, also just to see if we needed anything else would have been great. Another waitress Christina) assisted with bring the food out, she was very pleasant. Tip her $5 just for being nice. Linda got a tip on the receipt hand written comment (Attitude is Everything). I go to Waffle House regularly, I have never encounter this type of behavior ever. Thanks

I worked at waffle house for 9 years)(off and on) waffle house ABSOLUTELY DOES NOT CARE BOUT THEIR EMPLOYEES. I WAS WORKING AT UNIT #787 GRAPEVINE, TX AND I WAS COOKING WITH MY MANAGER IT WAS A VERY BUSY MORNING AND JOE RODGERS JR( THE CEO OF THE COMPANY)WALKED IN AND I WASN'T WEARING A TIE AND HE ASKED ME. WHERE IT WAS AND I TOLD HIM THAT I DIDN'T HAVE TO WEAR AND I WAS TOLD THAT WHEN I GOT HIRED AND THAT I DIDNT LIKE WEARING THEM AND HIS EXCATE REPLY WAS WELL I DONT LIKE TO PAY PEOPLE BUT I DO! I HONESTLY THINK THAT THIS. COMPANY ISNT RAN THE WAY HIS DAD AND HIS PARTNERS DID! THEY WANT US TO CLEAN FOR $2.75 AN HOUR. THEY DONT PAY THE COOKS ENOUGH ITS JUSG BARELY OVER MINIMUM WAGE PEOPLE CAN'T SURVIVE OFF THAT THEN MANAGEMENT MAD WHEN UR NOT AVAILABLE 24/7 . i worked for the waffle house for almost a year. i loved working there. i would love to go back. i got fired for pushing another employee who started things first. i had statements from everybody working that day saying i was not in the wrong she started it. the girl opened an investigation on the divison manager at the time and somehow my name got tied into it. now im not egilbe for rehire. i called the legal dept. and they said no such thing i'm not elgible for rehire because i filed for unemployment. something is not right because i have witnessed people get fired and rehired for stealing money. now u telling me i cant have my job back. thats bull crap.
The manager is rude and unprofesional!!!! while i was in the store in denton tx on tuesday dec 6 2011... olivia the manager was talking to employees and told two new employees sitting in the front of the store not to come in dressed like another employee who was not at work at the time said that the employee who was not there comes to work and her clothes look like they have been balled up in her pocket all week!!!
My family and I went to the Waffle House located on Dickerson Rd in Nashville Tennessee. I would like to state on the serves were friendly and very willing to server us. The problem came in when the food was delivered. Everyone order the ham and cheese omelet with hashbrowns. The hashbrowns were burnt and the omelet was over cooked with burnt ham and we was missing 2 orders of baco.. I nicely asked if we could get a new order of hashbrowns. The server had no problem with this but the cook Michelle (serving us for 17 years) did. This woman had the balls to come to me asking what the problem is. Hello look at the black hashbrowns!!! Woman you have issues when you send food out looking like this. Michelle then tells me that she'll take care of the check. What? No I will pay for my meal and you will recook the food that was served to me burnt. This chick wanted to stand at my table and argue with me. So I pulled out my phone to take pictures of what was cooked and severed to my family and told her I will be notifying corporate about this. At this point she cooked new food and came back to my table stating the server is new. What? Hey Michelle my server didn't burn the food nor did she have a attitude with us she done an awesome job. I have the problem with. Needless to say I will be calling corporate tomorrow's and asking if I can send them the pictures of the burnt food.
We stoped at 430 Racetrack Rd to eat. This was the worse Waffle House ever. It was so cold that I requested that the heat be turned on. I ordered cheesy eggs and toast and hashbrowns, I got two bits from the eggs and they were cold !!! the place was dirty and dirupted. My husband and I ran a Waffle House in AL. and belive me we never got complaints...If you are thinking about stopping DON'T...I have photos of the employees standing behind the counter and eating, swearing, and no nets on they're heads...gross....no gloves, bad service.
After a fun morning of Black Friday Shopping my girl friends and I decided to stop in our local Waffle House for Breakfast before we headed home to rest from a long night of shopping. To our surprise it would be the last. We walked in and chose not to sit next to the door so the cold air wouldn't freeze us. We waited on another table to be cleaned farther away from the door. Seemed like a better idea to us. Wrong. The waitress came to take our drink order. I ordered Orange Juice. Would you belive the Waffle House would be out of OJ. Geez. WalMart sales it down the street. Your a Breakfast place. Dont run out of breakfast foods!!! My major complaint was it was so cold inside that we had to go back out to the car and get our winter coats. I am not one that likes to eat in my COAT! The air vents was blowing out COLD air. We told the waitress and she said ya the air isn't on. UMM ya it was we sat under one. I said I bet you all get hot working don't you. She replied "Yes, it does get hot back here" It was miserable to say the least. Not one customer in the building didn't take their coat off. That tells me it wasn't just us. The staff shouldn't freeze your customers. We will never be back. We told the waitress again and she again said the air wasn't on reassuring us that we must be stupid. The Mount Sterling Kentucky Waffle House can stay empty because no one will eat there twice when they experience it like we did.
Me and my family (4 of us) were anxious to try out new waffle house on hwy 98 mary esther /florosa florida. Waitress patron or something like that was her name never acknowledged us or anything. Simply asked what we wanted.. Never said hi nothing. Like we were interuppting her day. We gave our drink order. Upon getting our drinks their was something floating in the water. We returned it..brought me a coke with grits smeared on the inside of glass.. She started gettn a new cup to fill and rhey were dirty too.. At this time we decided to leave. They obvioisly havent got cleanliness at top of their list..she never inced apologized for the issues or anythibg...we r done eating at waffle house...its obvious their staff cares nothing about their customers and ir quality..
I woke up this morning wanting waffle house for breakfast. I called them to place my order and the lady over the phone informed me that they were not taking orders over the phone and I was puzzled so I askedhuh??? And she replied its in our policy I said huh??? She replied would you like to speak to my manager I said yes I waited 5 minutes then I heard her pick back up the phone and then hung it up in my face how Rude so I called two more waffle houses to ask about there policies and they both informed me that it says no such thing. So I was given the District manager Warren's number for the Zachary location in Louisiana. I'm so out done it makes me just never want to go to another waffle house ever. #1773 terrible service and very rude.
Waffle House on Thomasville Rd, (Tallahassee) is not fit to even drive into the Parking lot, much less eat there....They have the worst staff of any rest in town and the waitresses are dirty, they never clean the tables they syrup stuck all over them, loud, rude, never see anyone wash their hands and I tell you, we will NEVER go back in there! Dont care if it is last place toeat out in the whole city, we would travel out of town if need be..This place needs to be shut down
