Just came back from the Middletown locations place is nasty people are rude especially Diamond she's nothing she's the worst waitress I ever had to deal with people like that shouldn't be working with the public its sad that we have people like that working in a place like that they really need to do something about it
I went to the Waffle House on Greystone Boulevard in Columbia, SC on May 3, 2012 @ 1:45pm. I waited 3-4 minutes to have my order taking. A waitres finally asked me if someone had helped me. After telling her no, she told me to hold on. She waited on this guy to write his number down. Then she goes on the other side and lean on the counter. There were staff members that gave me eye contact but no service. I went to use the restroom. When I came out I wasn't recognized another time. I really hope someone from corporate can meet with the managers that was on duty that day to advise them better about customer stisfaction.

DIDNT APPROACH HIM, HUSBAND AFRAID HE ACTED LIKE HE MIGHT BE ON SOME KIND OF SUBSTANCE.WE HAVE NEVER BEEN IMPRESSED WITH WAFFLE HOUSE BUT WAS DESPERATE FOR BREAKFAST,WIFE IN ER AT PHYSICANS REG ALL DAY. FOOD WASNT BAD WAITRESS WAS O.K. AS A RETIRED RESTAURANT OWNER I AM SHOCKED TH EHEALTH DEPT. ALLOWS THIS.
My husband and I ate at the new location in Gretna ,LA a few nights ago. My hasbrowns were cold. Like they fixed them and let them sit on the couter for a while. My bacon sandwich was passable at best(No mayo). My husbands' plate included sausage patties and he got them 10min after the rest of his meal and his raisin toast was next to his grits so he lost 1/4 of each slice tearing off the part dipped in the grits.I asked for a glass of water when the initial order was taken and didn't get it until I was exiting in a glass that made it look slightly brown. Yuck.This ws our first and last visit with Waffle House.
My husband and I go to the Waffle House in Camden, SC almost every Tuesday.We love the food, we love the staff and we love the fact that it is a non-smoking restaurant. I have only one complaint. On the window is a poster declaring the "15 choices for $5" deal showing a picture of the 'All Star Breakfast'. Well the 'All Star Breakfast is NOT $5, it's $6.40 and does not include a beverage. False advertising!!! Change that poster, or include the 'AllStar Breakfast' in the $5.00 deal.
MY FAMILY AND I HAVE JUST RECENTLY MOVED TO RADCLIFF, KENTUCKY. WE ARE ORIGINALLY FROM GEORGIA AND HAVE LIVED IN LOUISVILLE FOR THE PAST 5 YEARS. WE LOVE TO GO TO WAFFLEHOUSE, EVEN THOUGH WE HAVE NEVER, EVER HAD A GOOD EXPERIENCE, WE ALWAYS PUT UP WITH IT. WELL WE WERE VERY EXCITED WHEN WE SAW THAT RADCLIFF HAD A WAFFLEHOUSE. WE FINALLY HAD A CHANCE TO CHECK IT OUT, AND WE IMMEDIATELY FELL IN LOVE. WE WENT IN THE MORNING TIME, AND EVERY SINGLE WORKER, COOKS, SERVERS, EVEN THE MANAGER, ALL GREETED US WITH SMILES, AND HELLOS AND GOOD MORNINGS. THEY WERE VERY BUSY, SO THE FLOOR WAS NOT THE CLEANEST, BUT ALL THE SERVERS WERE CONSTANTLY MOVING AND WERE ALWAYS TRYING THEIR BEST TO CLEAN SOMETHING. MY SERVER LAUREN WAS JUST AS FRIENDLY AS COULD BE. SHE LAUGHED AND JOKED, AND WAS SINGING, MADE US FEEL VERY WELCOMED, SHE TOOK OUR ORDER, CALLED IT BACK TO US JUST TO MAKE SURE IT WAS RIGHT WHICH I APPRECIATED SO MUCH. THE FOOD CAME BACK SO QUICKLY WE WERE SHOCKED, EVERYTHING WAS HOT AND PERFECT. SHE CHECKED ON US, KEPT REFILLS, AND ALWAYS HAD A SMILE, WE ENJOYED WATCHING HER WORK AS SHE WAS ALWAYS SMILING AND CHECKING ON ALL CUSTOMERS, EVEN ONES THAT WASN'T HERS, EVEN THOUGH THEY WERE EXTREMELY BUSY, SHE NEVER MADE US FEEL RUSHED TO FINISH OUR FOOD. WHEN WE WERE FINISHED WITH OUR MEAL, SHE CAME AND CLEARED THE TABLE OF OUR PLATES WHICH IS ANOTHER THING WE SO APPRECIATE. WE SAT FOR A GOOD 30 MINUTES AFTER WE WERE FINISHED JUST CATCHING UP, NEVER ONCE DID SHE ACT LIKE SHE MINDED WE WERE TAKING UP HER ONLY BOOTH, SHE STILL CONTINUED TO CHECK ON US AND MAKE SURE WE WERE SATISFIED, SHE EVEN OFFERED A BACKSCRATCH LOL. WE WILL CONTINUE TO COME TO WAFFLEHOUSE EVERYDAY BECAUSE OF THAT YOUNG LADY. SHE IS A VERY SWEET PERSON AND A HARD WORKER. YOU GUYS SHOULD CONSIDER YOURSELF SO LUCKY TO HAVE HER. ALSO, THE MANAGER THERE, NAMED CINDY, IS AMAZING, THE BEST MANAGER I'VE EVER SEEN! SHE ALSO CAME TO CHECK ON US, SHE DIDN'T JUST WAIT AROUND UNTIL THERE WERE COMPLAINTS, SHE CAME AND ASKED ABOUT THE FOOD, THE SERVICE, THE STORE, EVERYTHING. SHE WAS SO NICE TO HER EMPLOYEES, VERY PROFESSIONAL, I OVERHEARD HER ENFORCING HER RULES TO THE SERVERS OF PREBUSING TABLES, BUT NEVER ONCE DID SHE YELL. SHE IS A DAMN GOOD COOK, SHE IS THE ONLY MANAGER I'VE EVER SEEN WORK SO HARD, IF SHE WASN'T COOKING, SHE WOULD TURN AROUND AND HELP WITH DISHES, GET DRINKS FOR CUSTOMERS, TALK TO THE REGULARS, SHE IS AMAZING. SHE EVEN TOOK THE TIME TO ASK WHAT OUR NAMES WERE AND TO SAY THAT SHE WANTS US TO COME BACK. AND THAT RIGHT THERE IS WHY WE WILL. I BELIEVE THE STORE NUMBER IS #367 OR #397. BUT YOU GUYS SHOULD MAKE SURE THAT MANAGER IS APPRECIATED, BECAUSE IF YOU LOSE HER, YOU WOULD LOSE WAFFLEHOUSE. THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH
went to Austinburg Waffle House last night. Feel so crappy today. Didn't do anything different than usual but eat there. Had bad food poisoning many years ago-same thing now. my friend feels the same way. We are healthy people=>NO REASON FOR THESE SYMPTOMS! What happened to Corp. Offices getting on the owners to keep up the name and quality promised. I GET IT!!!!!!!!!!! PRIVATE OWNER ONLY WANTS THE $$$$$$$ AFTER CORP. GETS THEIR SHARE!!!!!!!!!!!!! MAYBE DOESN'T WANT REPEAT BUSINESS-SINCE YOU OWN WAY INTO EASTLAKE!! WHERE DO YOU EAT!!! MR. OWNER!!! WE KNOW NOT THERE-OR IT WOULD BE A LOT CLEANER TOO!! I am an ex employee of the waffle house in conroe texas ownd by mosella lewis. I was terminated because I walked out on a night shift due to the fact I am a cook and the servers would neither do their jobs or even stay for their shifts. This was brought to attention and nothing was done. The employees of this waffle house are mainly drug addicts that report to work high on various drugs or theifs that steal and are not fired because they are to scared the employee will file unemployment claims yet I bet they try to deny my unemployment claim. To top off everything this vengful owner will not give me my final check and says she sent it back to cooperate and they will send it to me. Its all good though I will file unemployeement and to prove me calim this waffle house should drug test their employees I have to say though the waffle house on westshore blvd tampa florida is awesome with awesome employees and management and the store is very clean throughout I used to work there too and hope to return
My husband and I go into the WaffleHouse and no one says hello or anything. there are only Two other people there eating and so we sit right down from them. Well we sit there and sit there and no one comes. ( not like they are busy) the waitress finally comes to take our order, but she just stands there and doesnt say anything, doesnt ask what we want or nothing. so we tell her and she walks off. she comes back with our juice and goes again. then she comes back later with our food. she just stands there and doesnt hand it to us or say anything again! so we take our food and my bacon isnt cooked all the way and i have cheese in my scrambled eggs, (which i did not ask for) so i asked her if it was cheese in them and she goes *yeah* is there a problem... well i didnt ask for this , and then she just walks off.. she never checked on us but once, and when we go to check out she is standing there and doesnt look at us again and doesnt take our ticket , but some other lady finally takes it.. i just wnat to know why werent we taking care of and what was her problem. they werent busy!!!! wafflehouse on mcdowell rd. in jackson don't go there at 9:00pm !!!
Waffle House can be described in one word. Atrocious. As a former employee at a waffle house in Mississippi, I was fired for literally no reason. To top it off, the scumbag managers actually fought my unemployment claim. I then filed for food stamps and another scumbag manager refused to sign my food stamp letter that was to prove i no longer worked for them. Crazy right? And as far as the food goes, trust me i was a cook and half the food they served was eithrt old or left over. Lets talk about roaches for a second. The waffle house i worked for was infested by them. In all i would like everyone to rethink eating or working for this HORRIBLE company. They abuse employees rights, curse you to your face with vulgar language, and expect lower ranking employees to do the jobs of pathetic managers. Waffle House sucks so give them absolutely no service
My husband an I were laying in bed watching tv. Around 3:30 he said I'm starving I said um me to ! So I said wow we havens had waffle house in over a year wanna go? But we decided to get a Togo order. So I called the one store an they said they were busy an gave me a different number. So i called the next number an it rung for 12 min I called back they picked it up but laid it on the counter. All you could hear was people laughing cutting up an horseplay. So I hung up an waited for them to put the phone Blackmon the hook. Finally they answered an I said I would like to place a Togo order she said hold on. An still no answer so after 13 minutes a lady came to the phone an said hello what's up? I said well I have been tryin for a hour to place a Togo order. She said oh whatcha want? I said 2 breakfast specials an 2 orders of hash browns. She said that it? I said yes that will be all. My husband went into the store an they were all outside smoking an one girl was in the inside place was a mess he said my wife called I. A order I am here to pick it up she said u sure? He said yes he repeated the number off the phone se said this is the number but I anit go no order. He said well she told some one so she said hold on went outside and another lady came in an said oh I forgot. So he had to wait an when he came home only one had hash browns one egg was wrong toast was wrong I got a waffle I didn't order. My total should have been 12.at the Most he paid 18.71. When we looked at the food the grits was in a coffee cup but the lid was not on properly closed so they were spilled all over the bag? I want a complete refund as they were no condiments in this bad no forks napkins syrup nothing an not the food I ordered. As we just threw it away I did call back to the store they told Me to learn how to order.
On 03-17-2012 I had the pleasure of accompaning my mother back to the place she was born in Atlanta G A. My mother hadn't returned back to her birthplace in over 70 years being her 79th birthday she was excited. Her previous thoughts of the place she left many years ago had some negative inpacts where she was very reluctant to return but having three generations to celebrate with her and a grand-daughter that moved back to her birthplace changed her mind. The trip was fullfilled with heartfelt memory and her changing her opinion of the place she left many moons ago, and being diabetic she wanted to make one more stop before she returned back to Chicago and stop at the WAFFLE HOUSE and visit the underground for some trinketts to take back with her . when we entered the Waffle House on FORSYTH UNIT 1826 the shifts were changing, my mother excited ordered and received her food. The tables were not cleaned and the young lady at about 11:00 am said coming into her shift she would clean them and she was sorry. The female cook ( later after asking who she was) named MaKeisha Griffin set a horrific example of being customer focued , and with her behavior ran several patrons out of the store. Ms. Griffin had a problem with the young lady coming into the shift and verbally after my order and my daughters was taken stated" I will f***k everyoine's food up today! She actually was cooking the food. WOuld you want to eat your order after verbally hearing that vcoming from the cook preparing it. When her other co-workers attempted to apologize for her behaviors she mentioned " I don't give a f***k. My mother sitting right where she could hear and see her did'nt even want to eat her food, felt very uncomfortable and my daughtter and I cancelled our order after her behavior not to mention several other patrons walking out. I immediately asked to speak to the manger his name was Eric and explained what took place and he made attempts to take to here. our ticket number was 872954 and I purposely kept my ticket as a reminder where never to come to again.Working in customer service for over 28 years found it very offensive, unprofessional, and totally unbecomming, demeaning to the customers not to mention Ms Griffin.I still verbally want to express my opinion to a direct person because that was the last impact my mother needed not to return ever to the Waffle House .IT WAS sad and a HORRIBLE NIGHTMARE THAT NEVER ENDED UNTIL WE LEFT.I will make sure in Chicago I inform everyone that this is not where you want to go since the Waffle House 's expectations are not to train and educate their employees to be customer friendly. Ms Griffin with her attitude is not a good reflection and does'nt represent your company well at all. WHEN WE SHOW UP TO WORK we represent who employs us not our personal views nor should our personal view cursing, profanity and threats of f***king up the customer's food verbally be place where our cusstomer's are intimidated not to eat there.... SO IF YOU ARE IN ATLANTA GEORGIA ON FORSYTH UNIT 1826 WATCH OUT FOR CURSING MS MAKEISHA GRIFFIN WHO DON'T GIVE A F****K ABOUT MESSING YOUR FOOD UP . Waffle House should be proud they have someone that ignorant representing their establishment . watch what you eat if she's cooking it because after her manager advised her she still don't give a f***k!!!!!!!!!!! sorry but that's how she treated us and a 79 year old woman who was just having her bday breakfast thanks for ruining her memory!!!!!
Recently Ive been going to one of your resurants in Corydon, Indiana at night after 1 am and noticed how lazy the night shift is. When one looks at the stainless walls it looks as though everything is just wiped around instead of moved for better cleanliness. The floors are filthy and the bathroom even with its beautiful tile work is dirty and smells of urine. All I see is that after a customer is served, the cook, waiter and waitress will sit down and smoke, play on their computer or play on their cell phone with texting or just playing games. This isnt once in a while this is every night 20 to 30 minutes apart. The food is good and service is punctual but everything else is poorly done. If I could go somewhere else I would but nothing is open. I worked for Steak & Shake for years and this type of behaviour wouldve never been tolerated. Their concept is "If You Got Time To Lean, Youve Got Time To Clean"! I noticed that there are cameras everywhere, doesnt some one in management see this? Even the waiter had holes in his white T-shirt that could be seen with his company shirt on. I think his name was Todd. The cook has tatoos all over his arms and speaks of getting more next payday. This restaurant is in a small town away from the big city so why the ghetto mentality. Alot of people are looking for work in this tough economy and I think that Waffle House should just clean house of its old employees and clean the store even if its closed for two days or so. Instead of the place smelling like "Pinesol" it smells like dirty feet.
I have heard as well as watched this employee get railroad time and time again because the Waffle House manager in Irmo,SC has a very unprofessional attitude.He sat this young lady up for failure along with other staff.They accused this young lady of stealing because she was new and had a disagreement with another employee. Six people went in and out of that register that day but he accused the new employee and fires her.When a camera is there to monitor people action.I feel he done this because he was awaiting the oppurtunity to get rid of her to satisfy the white employee.Who has been very rude to this former employee from day one.She would wait until this employee get a rag to wipe off her tables and the white employee would snatch it from her hand.They did everything they could from day to day to annoy this young lady who was fired on yesterday for racist anger.This was a model employee,she worked well with the customers,always on time,enjoyed her job.I am asking for an investigation into this matter with how the manager of Irmo,SC Waffle House terminated this young lady.This matter needs to be dealt with by Corporate.

it took over an hour to get food then after I ask for to go boxes lady catches attitude with server and says they should have asked for that from the start! I wouldn't have asked for to go boxes if my food wasn't cold and I was trying to spare their time by coming home to warm it up! She talked to her customers and co workers like she wasn't at work!! The Waffle House in Richmond, VA located @ 5102 WILLIAMSBURG RD. has TERRIBLE SERVICE!!! When I walked in I wasn't welcomed and the waitresses was just standing around like they had nothing to do. One of them while I was waiting for my order was really rude to one of the gentlemen that was sitting there calling him disgusting....in front of other customers! After I had to basically wake one of them up to take my order which was 6 waffles, the waitress tried to charge me for each individual waffle instead of the double order which blew my mind!!! Then she stood there trying to argue with me about it. ANYBODY WITH COMMON SENSE would have charged for a double order...Well, needless to say, I told her to keep the waffles and stormed out. The next day I called and left message for the manager of the store and he never called back. I will NEVER go there again and I wish that it was an option not to even give them 1 star because they didn't even deserve that. I will travel to the southside of richmond and go to the Waffle House on Hull st. closest to the city where I was treated with respect and welcomed...and I didn't have to tell them not to over charge me for 6 waffles!!! SMH
Just left our newly opened Waffle House in Springfield, Tn. I am very upset with the lack of good customer service! The waitress, Kelli, apparently thought once she brought my food, her job was done! I sat there for more than ten minutes before she finally returned. I never even finished half my meal because something was upsetting my stomach.(I always eat all of my food). Her action was to give me a to go plate! DUH! Why would I take home if it made me sick there? Also the manager assured me that it couldn't be food poisoning because it happened to quickly. Good morning my name is Mario Ellison and Cheryl Whitney and I was a customer that visited your location at the Old Dixie Highway resturant on Fevruary 26, 2010 around the hour of 610 a.m I ordered two orders of the All Star platters and it was a take out order upon my take put order my entire order was incorrect with the eggs being cooked wrong on both orders to the sasuage patties was overly cooked to where they was un eatable, my cashier was very un pleasant and the cistomer service was very poor. I recieved dry pickles that was placed on the plates also with the waffles also being over cooked. I tried callinig into to speak with the shift manager I was then placed on hold stating that the store was very busy and that she had no time to speak with me I Cheryl, explained that I am valued customer and that I deserve that same attention inreference to the service that I had recieved just a few moments ago, the cashier who I spoke with didnt give me her name only stating that she will have the manager call me back. I tried looking up the store number to be excat on which location I went to but I do have the store number on file, which is 770 968 1645, I would highly appreciate if this matter was looked into as a valued customer that eats at different locations of Waffle House service that was given today was very un acceptable.
The only reason I'm giving a Waffle House such a high rating is because of the cook there We went into our local Waffle House in Mt.Juilet ,Tn. The food that man cooked was not Waffle House cooking at all it was the best I had ever had at any Waffle House mind you I didnt want to go there in the first place it was my husbands choice, but I was so inpressed with not only the food but the show while he was cooking that I asked my husband to ask his name and he told us both that it was Mitch so from now on that will be the only time that I will eat at any Waffle House is during his shift. While we were there we also got the chance to speak with Mitch, what a stand up guy down to earth and way to talented for any Waffle House. I also told him that he needed to be a chef some where that his talents would be more appreciated and rewarded for.
