Waffle House sucks. I have worked them off and on. They don't pay anything. They hire drunks, drug users, thieves, felonies, homeless people, people with no front teeth, illiterate people. If you want a job at the Waffle House call because they will hire you.
Store #1027 waitress Davin does not know how to take an order from a customer. Sunday morning June 24 2012 at 8 am. I gave her an order an she could not fill it . She told the cook to fix it any kind of way. That is not polite or intelligent ,that is what I told her. She told me to get out, so I did .
Last week My Husband and I went to The Waffel House on White Horse Rd.in Greenville S.C.We are known as REGULARS. Our Server Named Michel gave us pur drink took uor order and Forgot that we were even in there. even aftre I called her name out loud 3 times she never even looked up. She been there for about 4 or 5 years Suppose to be The Best at thi Waffel House.LOL But all she REALLY knew how to do was PLAY THE JUKE BOX AND GO OUTSIDE.She was Really Good At This. I believe that SHE NEEDS TO BE RETRAINED!!Thanks For Listening

My husband and I tried to place a togo order from the WH location at 120 West Spring Valley Road Richardson, TX 75081. We were not told prior to our order that we would not be able to make a MEAT order to go. First we had to reapeat the first order 3 times then our phone number 4 times and then when we tried to give the second order we were told that we can not order MEAT on a togo order. We have traviled all over and have ordered to go orders from WH several times with NO issues. Just wanted to let you know what was going on here and if this is a policy then it should be mentioned to the coustomer before waisting our time having to repeate ourself over and over again. Very very very unhappy with the service and the attitude of the person on the phone. Can not tell you her name cause she NEVER gave it. Also no loss to us. We just called IHOP and they had NO issues with us ordering MEAT to go. So in the future WH is off our list and IHOP will be our go to place in the future. Thanks so much
The Valdosta store on St Augustine... TERRIBLE!!!!! After a BLT and two waffles were ordered, the cook??? needed to verify what actually came on the sandwich... So the plate was offered to us with one slice of bacon, lettuce and no tomato. Oh yeah, they forgot the waffles!!!!! Seriously??? at a Waffle House, and they forget the waffles. Customers that had come in right after us, got up to leave after seeing the fiasco we went thru, and the server DEMANDED they leave a tip, because it wasn't his fault they weren't served. I got up to pay,and was requested to pay cash, not charge, and was also hit up for a tip.. I told the guy to forget it, and a fistfight nearly resulted. After getting out my phone to call the Valdosta sheriff because of the obvious theft that was going on, the server said I must have "misunderstood" and to just forget it. I called corporate anyway. Moultrie Store.... STAY AWAY!!!! We sat down to a filthy booth, cockroaches on the seats, tables unwiped, spoiled food, dirty grill and grease exchangers, the list can go on here.... children running in and out of the kitchen, was refused the managers or district managers name when I requested it. What they didn't realize was that I used to manage a franchise, and I know EXACTLY what to do in a situation like this. The Health Dept was called for a full inspection, and the right phone calls will take you straight to the top of the corporate ladder to complain.. There ARE Waffle Houses that are great to eat at, when managed properly, but all too often greed and theft overrule common sense at this business.
I work at a store in the Spartanburg SC. district, I've been with the company for 2 years! I Love to cook I have cooked $1800 shifts by myself. I can handle it I always have good feed back from my customers and my co-workers, But i have been nothing but lied to from my unit and district managers! Weekly False Promises of bonus and raises. Out of the whole 2 years of 40hr weeks I have only make $7.50 a hr and have only received 4 bonuses. I am Not happy with my pay rate or the unprofessional attitudes of my bosses, leaving the commissarie keys on 2nd and 3rd shifts and that's just one thing out of a long list of no no's. WH PLEASE HELP
Store #1015 Douglasville GA. Managers are never present. When they are there, they are mean to the waitresses, always yelling at them. The girls always look worn down. I have heard the manager talk in a berating fashion to the waitress and told her that she didn't have to take that. Someone needs to do something about the managment in that store!
Went to the waffle house in McComb ms and it was horrible The workers were very ghetto and unclean . I took pictures to send to the department of health They need to learn how to hire good help cause it seems they are racist and will not hire hardly any white People . The people who were working there have no concept of customer service Or caring about there job .
I worked for waffle house for 2 weeks and the unit manager asked me out. And I was worried if I didn't say yes to going on a date with him that he would fire me. Like an idiot I did go out with him. But as the months went on he used me to his personal advantage by having me work at all 3 stores for our district. The days that I was off I had to work a different store or pull double shifts. At the same time I loved working for waffle house but it bothered me because he steals money from the register and the deposits. Once I found out he stole money and talked to my district manager about it they covered for him and he still to this day steals money, uses drugs and tries to sleep with every young girl he thinks will do whatever it takes to keep there jobs. Now that I broke up with this manager I was fired from waffle house but was also told they would hire me back but not at this time. I loved working for waffle house and if it wasn't for bad managers I would still be there. I know this company like the back of my hand. Corporate please respond to this message. Today, we went to the Waffle House in Van Bibber, Harford County, Maryland. What a mistake! We eat there every now and then, but today it was a shame! If those founders got a look at this place, they would fire everybody and close the place down! When we went in, we were greeted by two clowns (Door greeters), who gave the public their version of dancing and singing to a rap song, with the music blaring! One waitress was crying her heart out behind the counter. The people washing dishes was slamming them so hard, it's a wonder they weren't broken! The noise from the loud music and dishes and conversation between the servers, and the dance moves was so bad, our waitress couldn't hear what we were saying! One of the people behind the counter was talking a cell phone, pacing back and forth past the counter, trying to talk above the noise! Tell me please, is there a responsible manager working there today? Does Saturday mean it's a day for a frat-house party? Or is it Waffle Houses version of spring break! Shame on you, Waffle House! Why do you alow your workers to act like they have no manners or respect for having a job?!
I worked at Waffle House for a couple of years. I never missed work and was always on time. I was good to my customers as well. The reason it is hard to find good employees at waffle house is because management will not do anything about the slacker and druggies that make life hard on the decent people who work there. Good waitresses eventually get sick of the nonesense and work somwhere else. Customers need to contact management and corporate when they see trash employees not doing their jobs. If they get rid of the awful employees the good ones will come back. Customers need to know that we who are good waitresses appreciate the great customers we had.
Let's just say I currently work at a Waffle House that's located along I-20 west of Atlanta,Ga. I can tell you that my fellow WH co workers work hard to give you the best service we can possibly give. Sometimes we fall short of that goal but it's not without trying. The 3 star rating you see at the top of this posting is my rating of us. I think we are good but like anything else we can stand for some improvements. I must say I work hard at stepping up my game. Every time I am under that roof! May I also add that many patrons come in and can make it very difficult to work with them. Like...Walking in with a Cell Phone glued to there ear. How can we serve you and greet you if are on the phone? At times of a big rush the place is packed not a seat in the house(all filled). Group of 4 or more comes in eats, done with there meal and sits there holding a meeting! While all along people standing along the walls waiting to be seated. Just remember Waffle House is a place where you come in "Get Good Fast". I must say we love all of our customers and we understand that without them we have no job,no business,nothing! So give us a chance.In closing I will be the first to tell if you have any issue with service let us know! Give us a chance to fix it or feel free to call the corporate offices. You are always welcome at Waffle House.
Who and what my name is not of important Im sitting in a waffle house right now in sharonville Ohio on sheronville road it sucks service is substandard but what got me the most was the cook with the freaken attitude he was rude to the two young lady's working with him, I Texas cheesesteak with side order o scrabble eggs, the eggs were runnie I don't like my eggs that way he had to recook them. My hash brown where lightly brown and under cook as well he had to do them over too. I'm upset because I am a regular at this location but ever since they remodel this place and put a new crew in here , I think this well I know this will b my last time dining here. Just to let u and other ppl out there know that this place was ok at one time or it could b the cook that was on duty this day because it was cooking like the place was on fire
I am from Springfield, MO The Manager on Glenstone off I-44 is a power hunger man. He is not nice to employee's and when he fired me yes I had a cell phone and so did many others but I was the example he wrote a note that said no cell phone or you will be fired ask blank my name. Now tell me what kind of manager he is by posting something like that up on the wall and have my co-workers calling me and asking me about that. I am a teenager to boot. He thought he was doing nothing wrong because it was the truth. How many parents would like that when there child told them that story, mine did not. So by reading most of the post I now know that the walffe house do not care about their employee's or any one eles but them self's they are not changing anything in there store's and there dirty and nasty as hell.
I was visiting the Waffle House location at 1106 South Cockrell Hill Road, Duncanville Texas this past Sunday morning around 1am. I walked up to the "to-go" register to place my order. No one acknowledged me and I had been standing there for about 20 minutes. Finally another customer who had come in after me complained that it was taking too long for anyone to take our order. He also explained to the waitress that I had been there for a long time. The waitress looked at me and rolled her eyes like she didn't care, and then she proceeded to take his order instead of mine. The male customer told the waitress that she should take my order first. She looked at me with an attitude and asked for my order. I couldn't believe how rude she was. I asked her for the manager and she said that he wasn't there. I then asked for someone else in charge and she said that no one else was in charge. This was the worst experience that I've had at Waffle House. I am truly disappointed in the waitress' behavior. Staff should be taught to respect customers and should be held accountable for rude behavior.
I have a request that a waffle house be built in Crawfordville,Florida. We have a Huddle House but it is the only place in town to get a regular breakfast and it has mediocre service and food.The population in this area would easily support both restaurants and thousands of people pass through Crawfordville every day going to Tallahassee,which is the capitol city of Florida to work and shop.Please put a Waffle House in Crawfordville, Florida. How can a cooked-to-order restaurant deliver cold food to the table? I had room temp oatmeal, then chili while my wife's eggs were cold and my grandson's hash browns were room temp. And all were delivered separately at different times as requested. We see the cooks working hard over a hot grille, but... come on!
I have been in this store for three years its worse now than it has ever ebeen! The attitudes and the nasty habits of the waitstaff is horrible! I watch some walk up to customers at the high bar and they say is this for here or to go or what do you want? Come on how rude! I saw a girl this morning take her food to the customers at the lowbar and then slamthe ticket down! And how the employees and management treat yoou is unreal! We need help please!
