If you want a job at Kroger, good luck. Want to talk with the CEO, it's easier to get ahold of the President of the United States. Want to fill out an application, go online, talk to no-one and get no help. To Superwoman, apparently you have a job, a husband and time> It doesn't matter. It isn't about the groceries, it's about treatment of people. It's just not your turn yet.
Just went to click to add and it has to be looked over by Kroger first. Go figure. I need a job, am dedicated to a fault and work overtime. Geez
We are Going Deaf, DEAF! Deaf because of that new marketing "blue light special" type of screaming ninny that is broadcast in some of your stores. Your took a 5-star store and turned it into a -5 shopping experience. I am going to finish my shopping tomorrow at your competitor down the street.
You need to watch your manager in kokomo indiana on dixon road. He only works about five hours a day and has been cutting hours every where. Store is always empty because he doesn't put the hours in there to get it done.
I do not think the law to prohibit people eligible for medicare to receive incentives should apply if said person chooses to pay the cash price and receives no aid from the government. No other pharmacy I go to applies this law in this way. Does anyone from Kroger corporate read these comments???? Nothing seems to change.
This rating is for the queen City Kroger in Cincinnati. I have had much better experiences in the other Cincinnati Kroger's and try to stay away from The Queen City establishment as much as possible. But today I was in a hurry and that Kroger is on my way home. So I did my shopping and wheeled my cart into a lane that appeared to have no one on line, just one person finishing up with his payment. Above that check-out lane there was a giant sign that said "FAST CHECKOUT, WE CARE ABOUT YOUR TIME" or something like that. But I found myself waiting a long long time anyway. At first I didn't bother to find out why, lines at the grocery are always slow. I figured there was some problem with the person's payment or some such thing. But as time went by I looked closer to see that the Manager, the bagger, the checkout girl, the customer and I were all waiting, many minutes, for a price on a package of basil! I waited a while longer until I couldn't take it and said "if it's a price you are looking for, basil is $1.99". The girl at the checkout was anxious to get this all going too and rang that up, but the Manager was not satisfied. He insisted on waiting even longer to get official word about the precise price, found out I was wrong and made the checkout girl correct the tape before the customer was allowed to pay and be gone. This whole thing took maybe 12 minutes. For kicks,I asked the customer how many times he had shopped at Kroger and he told me he was there once a week... yeah, I'm sure it was really worth it to keep him (and me) waiting for the accurate price on that basil. It's summer for heaven sake! you can't stop that stuff from growing! My yard is full of it. Everyone could see I was annoyed. I had ice cream and milk and other cold things to get home and the weather (and my car) would be really hot. I just wanted to get going, go home and get my stuff in the fridge. The checkout girl apologized to me, the bagger apologized to me, even the customer apologized... but the Manager who could have cut this ridiculous process short had his back turned to me this entire colossal waste of time and then just walked away after he made damn sure that basil did not get away for a penny less than its correct price. I hope you Kroger people read these, because I could not find a number to call until I read another email from another unsatisfied customer that did have phone numbers but assured me that it would be futile to try to speak with a Kroger manager. So I will leave the name of the un-manager who made four people's lives just a little more difficult for no reason... his name is Larry. Larry at the Queen City Kroger. For goodness sake, do something! Does my time matter or not? Either re-train Larry or change your advertising campaign to read "WE DON'T GIVE A RATS PAJAMAS ABOUT YOUR TIME".

Kroger and Shell Gas station team up to sell K2,Spice and other poison to our youth Many Kids have had their life's torn apart by this substance. Many families have been torn apart by this substance. Kroger I plead with you that you will cease your partnership with Shell gas station until the pull the poison from the reach of our kids. Please understand once the bill goes into effect and outlaws the substance we will not forget it took a law to get Kroger to quit allowing Shell gas station to kill fkids.
i worked for kroger for seven years and there is a manger in my department front end that is really rude to employee talk down to them and really the upper mangers do not say anything because they are head of the departments.i dont say anything in regards of losing my job .i do what they ask but im a person first an should not be talked down to an when u do say anything to them or mangers they cut yours hours or try an make u work as a bagger.when coropate comes in all they have the best store an love they employee that a lie because they threating us to make them look good but we are the ones taking there b.s. daily all the mangers talk down to employee at my store but when they have one talk to them that way they get mad at us an take it out on us really they not doing they job.we have new ppl that have came in why do they have more hours then the ones thats been there for years.i have had ppl that come in behind me to make full time an im barely getting 25 hrs. but im going to hold on until i finish school them im done with kroger an will not refuse to not work there much longer an will not be telling anyone to work there because as i am writing there is still nothing going to be done for store1 3 fill in blank.
If the Shell gas stations are not going to participate in the discount program with you all they should not be advertising you all name. On two occasion I have use my Kroger card for the discount and haven't received it. One station located at michell avenue and vine street, the other one located at reading road and McGregor. They are located in the inner city. I have purchase gas in other areas and have received my gas discount. By them using you name this reflects back on you because we shop faithfully and we expect to save the few cents on fuel especially being the cost of fuel today. You need a secret shopper to check on these stations and there are probably more out cheating your customers. A loyal customer
My Dad has been working there for last 5 years, he is working parttime since he is a diabetic patient and he has been requesting to dont give him more than 4 hrs at a time but his manager gives him 6 to 7 hrs at a time where he works only 14 to 16 hrs in a week and the rest of the week he has nothing to do. He get so tired and he has shoulder pain by doing contineously bagging stuff. His job is bagger. I want to know if anyone of you know who should we complain about this manager. Well if you work 30 hrs or somehing I understand giving 6 to 7 hrs at a time but for only 15 hrs a week and 6 hrs at a time is alot. Please help me. Thanks
I always go to Kroger on 3410 Gallatin Rd, Nashville, TN. Everytime I am there I notice there is only 1 person working after midnight, it's usually a guy, I don't know his name he never wears a name tag,on weekdays and girl, I think it's Meggan(sp?) on weekends. They are both very nice and always busy. I think you should have at least 2 people there a night. 1 person is not enough to handle a busy friday night, especially on the first and end of the month. I don't see how you a billion dollar company doesn't have enough money to have more people on at night. Also I have came in and noticed a young man named Damian(sp?) he rides around on cart not doing anything and almost hit me one night. Also the other night on the 4th, he was cursing out a customer. He called her a B word repeatedly when she called him a motherf word. The managers never seem to reprimand him or anything. It is almost like it is congratulated. I can not believe how down hill this store has went in 2 yrs.
I've worked at Kroger's for nearly 4 years now. I could do everything from being a butcher, working frozen, working produce, cashiering, bagging, you name it. Well one evening a customer comes in causes a disturbance over a coke at the front service desk. Our "so called manager" takes this customer into our break room just to appease him by getting him a coke from the employee machines. After being satisfied by getting his coke he comes back to the meat department. Of course there I am stocking the shelves as the back had been cleaned and sanitized. This customer wants steaks cut of which I said: I'm not cutting anything at the moment but give me a second to wash the sanitizer off. Of course being the short fuse that he was he interrupts me mid sentence throws the half ribeye at me then screams at me commanding me to pick it up. I back off to give him space to cool down after which he storms away. He returns with the same manager that dealt with him before. She proceeds to tell me to cut his steaks and that its my fault. I ask her to please step in the back so I could talk to her and explain the situation. She of course says "no, no discussions period" now cut his steaks. Of course after the customers threatening episode and intimidation i said "no". I was dismissed early and sent home. Next day I walk in to a suspension pending investigation, of which I finally get to give her my story. After telling her and investigating the recording her response was she didn't know he had done those things. After asking her why she didn't listen to me her response was: "I didn't have the time". So after all this I waited 2 and a half months for a grievance hearing on my insubordination case as they kept moving the dates back. So I finally get it and of course the lady there to hear it out is a sadistic one. Says it's all my fault, that I'm blaming everyone but myself, and that I have an attitude separating me and the customers. Eventually the hearing ends up in a full on full screaming match between my union rep and the HR and my manager. During this I interrupt and asked: "As a manager and as Kroger's where do you draw the line between someone being a customer and stepping over the line and protecting your employee's" to which I never received an answer. So in the end I waited nearly 2 and a half months plus an additional 2 weeks just to be told I'm fired. So that's 3 months without pay,no compensation, and I'm more then likely going to be screwed for unemployment. As I was the only one helping my father make his payments on the mortgage loan he had, hes now in the hole with the house now in foreclosure. I worked at Kroger's for nearly 4 years making $8.60 an hour before termination. As well as making less then some others who hadn't even worked there for a year but were making 9+ an hour. Not to mention there was someone else slapped with an insubordination grievance and all they did was just give them a slap on the wrist and told them to go back to work. In the end I worked my ass off for them and even harder when they needed extra work done. I did more then a few 12 hour shifts for them as well as covering call outs. During the ice storm here in Kentucky we had in 2008 I was one of only 2 people that came to work of which I worked from 7am to past 7pm to cover all the call outs. I was there when they needed me at their backs. However when I needed them at my back instead the hung a rope and lynched me. Funny thing is I'm treated as the bad guy the one who instigated it all. My record however states nothing but good things along with numerous customer calls complimenting me. I gave you 1 star but if they had -5 stars you'd be getting that. So all in all people: NEVER WORK FOR KROGER'S, EVER!
Iv'e shopped at Kroger on 135 in Greenwood,IN for years and most recently was looking in the meat department when an employee came from the back pushing a large cart full of meat. I thought I heard him curse and then he got louder and didn't seem to care that I was watching him throw a Fit. He was throwing the meat around and cursing saying people are pathetic and used the "F" word many times. I was scared and immediately grapped another employee to witness it. I asked for the Manager and told him what had happened and he didnt seem to be concerned and I felt like he didnt believe me. He went over and talked to the employee and then approached me again to say "He's admitted what he did, but he's been a long time employee and he's having a bad day." I don't think the Manager was firm enough with the employee. Maybe he's afraid of him?? If he was having a bad day the Manager should have reprimanded him and allowed him to leave for the day. I will not shop at Kroger anymore.
I purchased a recliner Saturday (04/07/12) at the Chenal Pky Krogers in Little Rock Arkansas at around 9pm. I waited about 10 minutes for a co-store manager to come to the register for assistace. I was told by her (Rose Muerno) that nobody worked in furniture at night and she herself had no idea how to locate items in the the store room and nobody was available to load it anyway. She wanted me to return the next day. I explained to her that (1) the next day was Easter and (2) if I left without my item who was going to believe me the next day that I had left without the item. I believe if these 24hr stores are trying to compete with Walmart they should offer the same services as Walmart. If a department is not open it should be roped off or a sign should be posted. I had to get a refund on my credit card on this purchase and by the time all this was completed my ice cream was ruined when I got home.
My son, Jon Carver, has been an employee of the Kroger store, located on Lake Road, in Dyersburg, Tennessee, for 18 years. He called my husband, John Arnold, and I, the other day to inform us that the manager of the store had fired him for "eating rolls with his soup". The manager, Mike Stevens, told my son that he had to buy a meat and two side dishes before he could have a roll. My son Jon, told Mike Stevens, that as long as he had worked there, employees had eaten rolls with their soup. Mike Stevens told Jon that he had caught him on the security camera "stealing" rolls to eat with his soup. When Mike Stevens was asked by the union representative to produce security tapes to show other employees eating their meals, to show the practice of eatin rolls with soup, the manager told the union representative that he was unable to pull up any other tapes; that he couldn't figure out how to access them. I called Mike Stevens to verify that he had actually fired an 18 year employee of that store, "for eating rolls with his soup", and I was told, by Mike Stevens, that he felt very comfortable firing my son; that it was "store policy". My husband called Chris Langley, head of Human Resources, at that same store, to find out what "store policy", allowed Mike Stevens to fire someone for eating rolls with one's soup, and Chris Langley hung up on him. Kroger, do you support ruining someone's life, for eating rolls? Mildred Cole Arnold
it's like this people, i worked in the pharmacy at kroger for 6 years, and of course i always shopped there. Kroger sucks! no matter what town what state or what street. they are money hungry bastards who treat there employees like crap. there customer service and front end workers suck because they do not get paid enough to care. The pharmacy workers suck because they are tired and worn out and the managers suck because they are complete idiots who think there somebody because someone works under them. maybe if the company spent less time in meetings and actually kept help on the floor and paid them a little better customer service would be better, probably not but maybe.if you aren't a major ass kisser you'll never get anywhere with them, and most of the time even the ass kissers get nowhere. i finally quit last month not any incidence in particular pushed me over, i just hate kroger and i hated going to work every day and watching all the stupid managers run around with feather dusters and mops because corporate is coming!!! who gives a shit! and then when corporate gets there they follow them around with clipboards kissing there ass and laughing at all there bad jokes. what a bunch of pothetic losers! so basically it boils down to kroger sucks, they will always suck!!!! i hope publix takes them under!!
WE BELIEVE WHAT WE HAVE HERE IS A CASE OF DISCRIMINATION AGAINST MEDICARE RECIPIENTS AND IT SHOULD BE BROUGHT TO THE ATTENTION OF THE PEOPLE. WE HAVE ALL HEARD ABOUT THE FUEL REWARDS GIVEN BY KROGER PHARMACY.. DID YOU KNOW IF YOU ARE ON MEDICARE YOU DON'T QUALIFY? WHEN THEY WERE QUESTIONED ABOUT THIS THEY REPLIED: " The Federal Anti-Kickback Statute makes it a criminal offense to knowingly and willfully provide remuneration (e.g. Reward Points) to induce referrals of items (e.g. prescriptions) covered by a Federal health care program. See 42 U.S.C. ยง 1320a-7b(b Therefore, prescriptions that are paid for by federal health care programs are not eligible for participation in the Fuel Rewards Program (e.g. a prescription that is paid for by a Medicare Part D plan). Similarly, prescriptions that could be paid for by a federal health care program are not eligible for participation (e.g. prescriptions that a customer chooses to pay cash for, but that could've been submitted and paid for by a federal health care program) are not eligible for participation. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. Thank you for your continued patronage. Kroger Pharmacy" KROGER HAS TOLD ME ON SEVERAL OCCASSIONS THAT THE $4.00 PRESCRIPTION PROGRAM IS NOT A STATE OR FEDERAL PROGRAM. BUT BECAUSE WE ARE ON MEDICARE WE CAN'T GET ANY FUEL REWARDS FOR MEDICATIONS. HOW ABOUT OUR OUT OF POCKET EXSPENSES, THEY ARE NOT PAID FOR BY A STATE OR GOVERNMENT AGENCY. EVEN THE PEOPLE WE HAVE CONTACTED AT KROGER SAY IT SEEMS UNFAIR... THEREFORE WE BELIEVE KROGER IS DISCRIMINATING AGAINST MEDICARE RECIPIENTS.
I work near the Krogers in Beaumont Center,near-by there is an old Krogers building that sits empty. Pigeons have the misfortune of getting in and they can not get back out. Two of them have been surviving because of me. I feed and water them. They are in the foyer, all Krogers would have to do is let them out. But in-stead they opened the door then taped the inside with tape so I could not leave them any food. Please call Corporate and ask them to release the pigeons. I do not think they will last much longer. They are in Lexington Ky. Beaumont Center. Please take a moment to call 513-762-4000 between 8:30a.m.-3:30p.m., this is Krogers' main office. Let us see if Corporate has a heart. Thank you. I will let you know.
