Dropped chicken
It's past Thursday, my mother went to the Kroger store in Troy, MI (Livernois and 18 Mile Rd). at the deli, when she asked for some cooked chicken pieces, the woman dropped a piece. She proceeded to pick it up, wipe it with a paper towel and put it in the container to give my mother. When my mother protested, the woman said the floor was clean and not to worry. When my mother complained to the manager, she did not seem concerned, saying she would have to retrain the employee in that area. If this is what the employee does in public, what is she doing to the food when no one is looking??.
I have worked at Kroger 350 in Martinsville, Va. for many years and have really liked my job until within the last year. In March of 2012 Kroger store 265 in Martinsville closed and 350 got many employees from that store. We welcomed them with open arms, kindness and respect. We have been treated so badly by these people. Words cannot describe the atmosphere in our store now. Not all of the employees are guilty of this but alot of them is. The deli is the worst. The worst part of all of this is management is scared to say anything to the employees from the other store. If they do, these employees threaten to file a harassment grievance. How is it harassment to make sure an employee does his or her job? One of the employees comes in drunk every day, it's obvious to employees and customers and you sure can't miss the smell on her breath or her slurred speech. We have been told that management can't do anything about this unless she has an accident. Why would you wait until someone had an accident before something is done? She is always ruining something such as burning chicken and it has to be thrown away. Why is this okay? Someone please tell me what would you do if you worked here???
unexceptiedble
3 times that I have used western union at kroger they mess it up and it isn't sent right. So I called and there isn't even a manager in the store for me to talk to. So they hang up on me so I call back and they do it again, u don't treat people like this when they pay for a service its unexceptieble I nor my family will ever shop there again
i dont lie
went to Kroger and got my stuff. got home and saw that one item was missing, I called them and was told to come in. So I did, I told them what was missing, a cashier ( that was running the self check out) went over to the front desk and ask if anything was turned in. they said no. she said she couldn't help me as nothing was turned in. I just happened to look over to see if the cashier that checked me out was still there. and then I saw down where they keep the bags the item that was missing. I showed it to her. I called the Kroger when I got home, and told the manager that that the cashier made me feel like I was a liar. The manager had 5 different excuses how the item got down there. Said the staff is trained to turn stuff in, how the moving belt sometimes lets things slip down, and even with a receipt they cant replace the item, unless its turned in. The staff, she said was trained to do this, well they didn't. It seemed the bagger was more interested in talking to the cashier about her moving and packing boxes then she was packing my bags, and if they are trained to turn stuff in why was it not turned in. i'll shop at Wal-Mart from now on.

The pharmacy staff demonstrates the utmost in caring, compassion and professionalism! I could not ask for anything more. The staff often has had to go to bat for me with physician and insurance.
Compliment/Thannksgiving Dinner
I recently called the Kroger Market District store located at 300 S Hamilton Road in Gahanna. The customer service from Kevin, a manager and Samantha, a deli manager were exceptional. They were extremely helpful and wonderful to work with. They took my order for a Thanksgiving dinner for my parents living in Ohio, while I am living in Pittsburgh. It is with great assurance that my parents will be able to pick up their meal and have good food for the this special day. I am thankful for the good work of both Kevin, Samantha and the Kroger Market District store.
On October 12, 2012 at about 11:12pm I pulled into the Bridgeport, Michigan Kroger parking lot. It had been warm and humid all evening and because of doing such a hard days work and my age, the humidity caused my lungs to vomit their contents. Which is a terrible site to see. as one of your young workers, off her shift and headed home to her child, spotted me bent over heaving violently, shaking and sweating profusely and very unstable. She stopped, didn't know what to do, didn't want me to fall over and bust my head on the concrete, but realized I was too fat to catch or pick up. She RAN back into the store and screamed for assisstence. Dominic, a young worker ran to her aid. Anita, fearing her employee's safety, came with them. Anita did step up to me, even as I vomited violently and asked if she could be of any help to me. Dominic stepped forward and held on to me so I wouldn't fall. Cassie ran and got wet towels to help me clean up. they helped me get to a stationary position, Anita on one side of me, Dominic on the other side of me so I wouldn't fall. They gave me clean paper towels to further clean myself off. Anita asked if I needed to call someone and I said no, the attack was over. I just needed time to collect my thoughts, regain my strength and composure. They took me to the picnic table and gave me a cold glass of water. I was so impressed with the good hearted workers that an old gray haired foundry man might be choking to death or dying that I feel compelled to let Kroger's corporate office know the caliber of young workers that they have and feel that corporate should commend, appreciate, reward them for their dedication. Possibly through schooling and higher education that corporate would pay for. respectfully, Virgil
Disrespectful management and recieving team at the Steamboat Springs Colorado store. I am the owner and operator of local e stablished busieness that is set up as oneOf their vendors
Customers are the reason things go wrong. If every old person who came into the store had a slight bit of patience, then maybe everything would work out. These people have no idea the stress employees get out under, enough to the fact that the customers are the absolute last thing we are afforded to think about, "my roast was bad" that means that you cooked it wrong moron. It had nothing to do with the store. If you people would educate yourselves better, on what your buying, then maybe you wouldnt have these bad experiences. And stop asking everyone who walks by to fix the bottle room for you, that is left solely to baggers, not the guy in dairy, meat, frozen etc, just use your heads a little bit, and your experience would be better.
i am writing on behalf of the seniors in milford ohio who cannot get a job a local krogers, because of them holding positions with collage students. it is great for a company to hold jobs for students who would like to stay in companys. But come on, these students come home only on holidays and there jobs are saved. this is crap, there are high school students who need jobs as well. but the worse thing about it is that i have friends who work at krogers who tell me that they have to work short handed until the breaks for thesse students to come home.... really. krogers get it together, if you are for the community , then prove it.
I ate some Kroeger Shredded Wheat Bite-size and broke a molar! There was a rock in the cereal. I am sending the photos and pictures of all the excess cost to get this fixed. I want to be compensated for this during this hard eonomic times. I wonder how this cereal is produed. I will never eat that one again.
I will never never never never ever again eat at store 438 in lilburn ga deli ray who works there picks his nose eats and licks on the silverware you serve to us customers then keeps working so nasty
Kingwood, Tx. Butcher was rude & no help, he was not working but just standing around. I wrote a letter of complaint and was as much as told "too Bad". Whatever happened to customer satisfaction or "Customer Service"? A simple apology from a janitor would have been enough to keep me shopping there. I will not accept rude behavior. I no longer shop at Kroger. Company is going downhill. Someone told me the Kroger I stopped shopping at after 15 years is now putting a facsimilie of a Bingo parlor. Must need customers badly. Why were/are they constantly changing product placement? No one could ever find anything but meat and veggies. If they had been able they would have changed location for those departments too.
I ordered and bought a prime rib roast for Christmas..several years ago. Good thing I saved the label. Our entree was as tough as an old boot, inedible. Next day I ground it up for Chili...we did not have an entree that Christmas. I wrote a letter and was offered my money back and I took it. HOWEVER..after thinking about it, our Christmas dinner was ruined...thank God we could laugh at it and at the Chili that was made out of prime rib roast. Oh..the Chili was pretty good but not as good as that roast we had salivated over while it was in the oven.
kroger sucks... all stores are the same... creepy managers, High, VERY High prices in meat, specially... Never trainned deli, bakery and Meat and Seafood crearks... Everytime I stop by, I can here and see That Some "Company People" are "Coming". Seems like Employees and SPECIALLY MANAGERS Worry more for what the other employees which they call "COMPANY" -(I imagine are corporate lazy people) -think about the store, than what the costumers need.
The manager that made that comment to that woman needs to get his/her ass fired! Then you can see what its like to live on food stamps!
To all the Kroger employees on here crying about a manager, key retailing, e schedules, etc. just need to keep quiet and suck it up. its called a job, now do yours. The only employees who seem to have a problem with Kroger are the ones who are not worth a damn. If you don’t like it quit. Wal-Mart is down the street. Try working for them and see how well you are treated.
(CAN YOU GIVE 0 STARS?) I went into Kroger on Heritage Trace and I-35 Keller Texas tonight, the store is only 2 years old and i refuse to buy ANYTHING (FRESH)from the deli, lunch bar, bakery, seafood counter, or meat market!. if it isn't from a can or bottle on the shelves, there is a good chance it is rotten. EXAMPLE: the food in the lunch counter is NOT covered after hours to prevent cross contamination, the deli counters were being wiped down with a damp rag and not even rinsed between one counter and another, the bakery looks like the people wiped bread dough on the fridge and oven doors the is filthy, the seafood counter... i went by and got to within 30 feet and could smell it, the cherry clams were OPEN slimy and stinking, there were breaded catfish fillets that had been marked down 3 TIMES! and been there over a week! the package was full juice (can you say botulism) from the fish rotting in the package. and last week 5 days ago i went in and saw the markdown meats there were 3 Angus stakes that had been marked down and a package of pork chops the beef was so old they were the color of chocolate and turning green on the bottom, the pork chops had been left out on a shelf and were discoloring on the edges. so now you know why i will never buy anything "FRESH" from that store AGAIN!!! i am calling the Public Health Dept. Monday Morning. to report these horrid conditions.
I have worked for Kroger for almost 9 years and have never had a problem. I am not sure what stores half of these other people work at but I have been at 3 different ones, and have never been treated badley. Just because they didn't give you the weekend off, or punished you for something you did iis no reason to say they are awful employers. I agree the pay could be better, but overall it is a fine place to work .
I have prob with the Paris tx Krogers if the managers don't keep my name out there mouths i will be filing slander charges against krogers i have never worked there they don't know me so the corp needs to take some actions before i file charges and the manager that been saying stuff is Mr.roscoe the grocery manager
