Rent A Center Corporate Office & Headquarters

i rent from the rent a center in arvada,co., i have been off and on for 4 years the store that i rent from have gone through several employees but the manager has stayed the same. most of my experience has been good however latley the service and the their business practices have not only been improper but in the real world would be illegal. when you fill out the application you list yourself and your addr and roomate,spouce anyone that you have a close personal relationship with and then there is references totaly seperate from your personal relationship with, right. this store not only will call people you tell them not to but becouse you list them as a refence they wont stop even when you tell them to, but they also will share your personal info like your acct info they dont have the right to know. your not safe renting from rent a center. they will share your personal info with anyone that askes for it. my refernce was not list as living with me ,a spouce,or roomate only as a refernce as was given specifics about my acct. ,what if i had a falling out with that person and moved away to get away from that person. all he would have to do is walk into rent a center and ask where i was and you know people can be very clever when they want something. i am not safe renting from them they told me they didnt know the relationship .well i didnt list him as spouce or livivng with me . in the real world thats illegal!!!!!! i am very upset over this . i have been a good customer but this store hires new to the business people that dont know jack . all i get is excuses well know that i know that they do business like gangsters when i move they get they will get their stuff back and i will have to freeze my cbr to be safe. thanks rent a center

I have numerous complaints on Alishia who works at the Avenue W Ensley Five Points West location. She is very rude, arrogant and she always argued with the customers in the store. Her attitude needs a adjustment, the way she talks to the customers should be handle, She should never get into a heated argument with a customer when other customers are in the store. Something needs to be done about disposition while working with the public. If the customer is wrong about a situation she should handle the matter in a respectful way.Because the customer is the reason she gets paid without us she has no job.

i love rac and that is probably cause i make payments and never have issues i bought appliances and computers not one problem maybe you people are the problem.. DONT RENT IF YOU CANT KEEP UP!!!! save money and buy it and you wont have these issues...wow...love you guys at rent a center

Rent A Center is the worst company in the world... I can't believe the way they treat their customers. I was 2 days late on my payment, mind you I called them and told them the date I could pay them on, but they still came to my house and beat on my door for 30 minutes, consecutively. I didn't answer, just out of spite. They even showed up at my job... Are you kidding me!! My item is 2 months away from being paid off, and when it is, I will never ever go there again. I've even considered calling the BBB... Has anyone done that?

I got a stove and fridge when delivered I was not home got home stove was horrible grease nasty but I had to cook with it almost caused a grease fire then on top of that the fridge had roaches in it so is rac gonna pay for terminex to come spray I've never seen a roach in my house. Calling main office tomorrow

I would never recommend this store to my worst enemy....they are cheats and keep changing the prices and weeks to pay on items. I had a balance of $126.07, paid $109.00 and went in today to pay it off, thinking I owed $17.00, and they ask me for $53.13. What????? Then say that I still have a balance after that....DON'T EVER DEAL WITH THIS STORE!!!!!! I will NEVER rent to own from them again!!!!!

I have a complaint i personally never do business and never plan to but I have a nephew that rents a room from me and he rented stuff from them he got behind and they kept calling and calling him i told him he had to call them and tell them to pick up the stuff he finally did and rc told him he had to take it himself well they show up at my house and i was at work my maid call me and said that rc was there to pick up th stuff i told her to put them on the phone talked to one of those idiots and told them to take the stuffthat i gave them permission to go into his room and take what was theirs . Well that was 3 days ago today came home from work noticed my playstation in the living room was missing called rc and told themi was missing my ps and a green controler they said it was theirs i said dont u check serial numb well this is long already i had a long argument with district manager from el paso DANIEL SANCHEZ who was the biggest idiot ive ever taLKED TO And he said there is nothing i can do youll just have to wait till we can take it

The tampa east office of rentacenter is awesome! Recently, we have been going through some terrible medical ordeals, and when financial burdens have pressed us nearly to the point of breaking, Dave, Chris, Dre and the staff at RAC have been there to help us out every step of the way. We are certainly going to continue using this store, and we will try to get our friends to switch from Aarons & Rent King, too! Thank you guys! God Bless!

My contract says I owe a total of $4,330.22 for a bedroom set that my wife and I bought. With all the payments, that RAC is telling me that I am supposed to pay, I will end up paying a total of $5,043.81. I'm tempted to get a lawyer and sue RAC for breach of contract!!

I will never buy another thing from RAC and I will tell all my friends to go somewhere else. I have been paying on a chair for three months the price of the chair was 300 I was also told my same as cash was up and I so I went in to pay the chair off which was supposed to be 187 when I got there they told me I owed 297 or they were just going to pick it up what kind of buisness are you running anyways a SCAM so come get your cheap a$$ chair so you can sell it to another sucker down on there luck needing help. Whatever happen to keeping your customers happy so you can keep their business. But now I know you stay in business by ripping hard working Americans off. So thanks alotRENT A CENTER for opening my eyes to con artists like YOU!

I recently went to the RAC store in north parkersburg WV off grand central ave. I walked in & couldn't even look around because the store was such a mess. There was broke furniture everywhere & it just looked dirty. I usually go to Aarrons to purchase household things & they ALWAYS greet you & ask if you need any help. I went to Aarrons first looking for a coffee table, but they didn't have one I liked. I walked in RAC (that there was 1 customer in & at least 4 employees, if not more) & not a single person asked if I needed help or even said hello. I "TRIED" to walk around the store to look myself for about 20 minutes, but couldn't find anything because there was furniture everywhere, flipped over covering everything up

I've been a good and fair client with Rent A Center until I made my payment on October 1st,2011. The guy working at the time said I only need to make a payment of $ 157.00 for all the furniture I'm getting included is a queen size bed, bunkbeds, and a living room set...they called me on October 10th,2011 wanting a $ 37.00 extra payment-because who ever did the paper work thru the computer only put in weekly payment for queen bed instead of 2 week payment.....So now I need to pay $ 194.00 every 2 weeks for all my furniture instead of $ 157.00 every 2 weeks. To me the payment should stand at $ 157.00 instead of $ 194.00 it's not my fault that someone put in the wrong info on payments!!! I think that payment needs to stay instead of them trying to get another $ 37.00 especially when we already calculated into our future pay checks when received!!!

RAC is nothing but a bunch of liars who have no intention or idea of or about customer satisfaction. We have rented from them for 5 years and when we fget this last item paid for will do no further business with this company(especially the one in Cedartown, Ga) they charge 60% interest which is definitly illegal. Our lawyer is checking it all out now and getting all the paperwork started SEE YOU IN COURT<!!!

I've been with rent a center for a few years now and have purchased my washer (all paid in full) and my living room (that I'm paying on now). I was making all my payments on time an even paying extra when I could. Now I'm on medical leave from work an only have a minimal monthly alotment to pay ALL my bills with...and to take care of my three children at home(two of which are of disabilities) I've explained my situation an have been making payments in a two to three week time. Now they have a new manager who has refused to take my payment for the week that due now because he is trying to extort more money from me, saying I have to make a "substantial enough payment to satify him" for IF I'm not able to make my payment that is GOING to be due Next week. So instead of accepting the weeks payment that is due all of $35(and I was going to give them $40) HE Trying to FORCE ME to pay 3 weeks worth and Flat out WILL NOT take the money that I have for them NOW. Its rediculas....how are you going to refuse a payment that is due....DEMAND More money that is NOT DUE... and then have nerve to tell me if I don't pay it they will repo my stuff. MIND YOU I OWE LESS THAN $180.00

I ordered a Sealy pillow top mattress new 5 weeks ago. I STILL have not received it. They called me last Weds and said they got it in on Tues and would call me that night to let me know what time it was going to be delivered. I STILL have not heard from them!!!! They also promised me that I could have the mattress rent free from Weds until this Fri. NOT A GOOD DEAL since they never delivered the mattress. Both Jen, the store manager for Gorham, NH and Mike, an employee there, have been jerking me around for over a month. I'm not happy and unfortunately, due to where I live, I have no other options. Since they are aware of this, they are going to continue to jerk me around because I'm stuck.

Read every one star or NO star posted and that is exactly how I feel. I will never use this company again. Nor will I recommend them to anyone. Horrible service from the Moreno Valley store in California. They are like thugs, loan sharks, just awful!! Makes me wonder from what prospective employee pool RAC obtains their employees. These people have no work ethic, class or style. I can't say enough bad about them, it would still not be enough considering what I have gone thru and continue to go thru as I am so far in now I just want to pay for the item and never enter that store again.

we have a tv and a laptop we have paid on the tv since august 2010 we had never been late then in aug 2011 my husband lost his job. the store(pittston pa.) we fell behind the employees have haraessed us no stop they call my house 8-10 times a day they leave nasty messages and then when we call in they dont mark our account i tried to make a payment on fri(9-30-11) and was told by Frank the store manager that they wouldnt expect my paymnt and that i had to return the stuff. i am pissed i have paid over 1758.00 and know they are taking my tv they should be forced out of business.

I give the Rent A Center store in Monticello, Arkansas a 1 (Star) Poor. First they send a person laptop off to get screen fixed and when it comes back the built in cam don't work, then second instead of the store manager paying attention to the warning on the screen that the laptop has the wrong power adapter 65W needs a 90W power adapter the manger then just wants to give me another 65W power adapter and restores the laptop back to the way it was when it left the dell factory losing everything I had saved on it.

I have been with RAC since July 18th of this yr when they brought my couch up stairs they broke my window out and laughed about it their insurance company never came to fix it either! I have never missed a payment and always pay early and the one time I ran into money probs they told me they was gonna come get my stuff for being 5 days late I'm like WTF! This company is shit I have had 4 comps from them and 3 washer and dryer sets which all broke :/

I had put at least $400 into a lap top I was renting . I couldn't make a payment once and asked them to hold the computer for me tgey said they would hold it for 3 weeks. Well today is tge 29th their supposed to hold it till the third and keep my stuff on it. Nope its freaking up for sale3 days early and my stuffs wiped school projects that needed to be sent in photos and videos of my 2 daughters ill never get back I'm very angry right now.
