Threatened over the phone by store manager saying they were going to come with the police . Not a good business person. I am no longer a customer

I've also had a bad experience with RAC. I rented a washer and dryer and when they came to drop it off they did not have the electrical cord or hose for the dryer. One of the delivery men told me he would come back later that night around 7:30 and bring the items and when he showed up later he only had the electrical cord which did not fit the wall plug in. I then had to go to Home Depot that night and get the items myself. I spent 29.90 for the items and told RAC over the phone how much I spent and I was told that I didn't need to bring the receipt in, that they would deduct the amount over the phone when my bill was due. When it came time to pay my bill I spoke with a different associate other then the one that told me not to bring the receipt in and was told I needed to bring the receipt in. I was in another state at the time so I was not able to bring it in and Alicia the store manager would not deduct the amount until she saw the receipt. She could have taken the 29.90 off my bill that day and just had me bring the receipt in later when I got back into town but she obviously didn't have a manageing skills. I was so upset from the situation I had them come and pick up the washer and dryer. When I asked for corporate phone number they just gave me a number to the District Manager who I found out later was rumored to be close to Alicia the store manager. I talked with the District Manager and he didn't seem to care to do anything about Alicia who was the reason why I sent the washer and dryer back nor did he offer any of my money back that I had to spend for the parts for the dryer. This was the first time I ever did business with RAC and it will be the last.........

Lodi CA sucks and does not stand behind their word or product. My damaged frontroom set is still not taken care of after many broken promises and numerous phone calls. Yet I payed 90 days same as cash last July (2010)

Hi, I've been a customer with rent a center for quite some time nowhere in the charlotte north carolina area east way dr store.As a customer I have been cheated not once but twice out of this store over the last year!!First to get the account they lied to get customers in saying they will only have to pay 52 weeks on the item(s),and once you get to the 52 weeks and you find out you have even more payments they put it on we changed managers ,we combined stores etc. now that i've passed not only the 52 weeks promised but down to what they call the last 5 payments I've been paying 142$ for the pass 3 weeks and the store manager Rick is very aware of that saying only 13 go towards what i'm paying for which is now 34 $week Lets be remindful my oringinal bill started at 3 maybe 4 thousand dollars now since i'm down to this my money doesn't count anymore I feel as if they have been getting over all along on hard working citizens this is worst than dominoes pizza putting boggers on people food!This is not only my last time ever dealing with this compamy but anyone that I come into contact with should be aware of this company and its tactics and stir clear them.This should be posted on you tube as well beating people out of there money with a smile! How sad for a corp. giant to do such tactics
