I have worked in the retail business for over 7 years, I have always tried to do my very best when working with customers. At the last store I worked the area I worked in and the areas around me where all like a family. Management was always there to assist us. But when I hired at Kohl's on my first day no one spoke to me, the employees did not introduce themselves and everyone was speaking Spanish. I was treated as if I did not know anything they kept to themselves in their own group. Even today, I have been there for 2 1/2 years and the employees still will speak only Spanish and most of the time they do not ever help a customer. Management is the WORST!!! There are two supervisors who play favoritism with the Spanish speaking employees, If you do not stay late or if you do not lick someones' foot you are singled out, they will change your work day so when you check your schedule for the week or the following week and write it down; you could be off one day then the next time you go to work they will ask you why didn't you show up. Go to check just to let them know that you where not on the schedule and the schedule has disappeared with no one knowing what has happened to it. The will over look experienced workers who have been working in the same department for a long time, to someone who does not have any experience in that department and who does not want the position, but management will refer them and them persuade them to go for it, without ever asking the person who is actually in the department and knows the department inside and out if they want the position first. One of the supervisors will make remarks about one of the employees in the group meetings that is disrespectful in front of everyone she does not care if anyone knows how she feels about some of us. There are many employees who have experienced the disrespect, favoritism, and racial disregard of others who are not Mexican. They will say they work harder and will come in when ever they are asked; well I say that not everyone can come in to work on there off days because we all have families are things to do for our families. If you do not do what management wants then you will not get the hours you need or they will switch your schedule around then tell you it's your fault or they will allow some of the Mexican women to come in late just about everyday and not say anything, but when you are late or do the smallest thing they want to write you up. Why don't they write up the other women who come in late damn near everyday? I hate Kohl's because they don't care for some of the departments they treat some of their employees like garbage.

Colleen Rondeau (Millbury,Ma) is the worst store manager ever. She has no management skills what so ever! She gives the store away every day. It is like she is afraid to say no. Her yes we can policy is over the top and the customers know that they can get away with everything. She even returns clothing from other stores. She has no trust in her management team. She always needs to be in control when in reality, she has no control. Her store is a mess. The only time it is clean is when her boss is coming. Magically payroll appears! When her boss leaves it's back to broken hangers on floor, filled dressing rooms, and telling her employees how they don't care about the store because they didn't reach the credit goal. When, in reality, they where busy helping customers, ringing, emptying dressing rooms, pushing freight, etc. She needs to show some respect to her employees and in return she will get respect

Shop Kohl's Millbury,Ma if you want stuff for free or discount The store manager, Colleen Rondau, Gives things away! She takes expired from a year a go. Expired Kohls cash! Oh, if you find a new item on an 80% off rack no problem! You can have it have it for 80%! She takes back clothing from other stores. She is amazing! I don't understand why she get's away with it! ridiculous!

I was just at the Redlands Ca location buying some work pants. I had just been to Wal-Mart (biggest mistake ever) searching all over their womens dept for some dang khaki work pants and didn't find much. The lady at the register was so rude. She didn't say a word to me when I got there and when I left. It was the worse retail experience ever! I called to complain and the manager wasn't any more helpful then the cashier. I had heard about Kohl's great deals on work pants from a co worker of mine so I thought I would give it a try even though it's not too close to my house. It was my first time there and as soon as I get to my desired dept I found a very large variety of khaki work pants at such good prices. Typically at other dept stores they run as much as 45 dollars which is a ridiculous amount for pants I know won't last me long. I'm a manager of a doggie day camp, dogs do not care how much you spend on your pants. They just see you as one big jungle gym to climb on hahaha. Anyways back to what I was saying, I seen some good quality pants for only 17.99! I was very pleased already. I go to the register and Rosie had to be the sweetest lady I have ever met. She really made my experience there so much better. She made me and my son feel so welcomed. I even called the store to speak to the manager (Kathy I believe) to tell her how wonderful her team was. After going through the terrible experience right before this was like a breath of fresh air. It is good to know that people like Rosie and Kathy still exist. I will definitely be a frequent shopper at this Kohls.

I will no longer patronize this so called establishment and I hope they end up going under. I will go to JC Penney's or Sears. I was a card holder and always paid my bill on time. I missed my payment in July and was going to pay my bill which which was 59.00 on 8/15/12. I had a available balance of 256.00. Went to buy some school clothes for daughter which came up to 86.00 w/ 30% off. Ran my card thru and it was not authorize. Called their stupid customer service and he tells me I missed a payment and they suspended my card. First of all, you could have notified someone,I forget sometimes to pay it but I do pay my bills. For two over 59.00? I told him I will pay off the bill and to close my account. I will never step foot in that store again!

Worst department store ever! Their new return policy is bullshit. I was in there the other day with my sister shopping in the juniors section. My sister wanted a shirt at the top of the rack up high on the wall so after searching for a while we asked a store employee and asked for her help and she simply said she didnt have the time and would call for another assistant. We waited 23 minutes and nobobdy ever came to help! I eventually found a manager who then told me that was not his job and that I needed to find a store employee! Worst customer service ever and I will never be going back! Do not shop at the Kohl's in Lithonia Georgia.

It seems Kohls has finally hit rock bottom like the rest of the corporations out there. I was in the Sanford, Fl store and could not find anyone to help me find anything. It took me ten min. to finally locate what I was looking for and none of the items had prices marked on them. Had to take to customer service just to get a price. (In these poor financial times I need to know the cost before wasting time in line) Went to the men's clothing dept. and it looked like the aftermath of a black friday on steroids. This men's dept had nothing in most popular sizes and it looked like K-Mart. Not what you would expect at Kohls. Now this is the third visit I have been there this summer and still nothing. This store has had nothing in the men's dept. since father's day. They blammed it on back to school but I am not buying that BS because it's been like that all summer. It appears Kohls don't have any money to stock their stores. It's the same BS you see everywhere whith no customer service, rude employees, dirty filthy surroundings like in a third world country. Way to go Kohls, Corporations like you are distroying this country at the expense of the American people and frankly won't ever waste my time there anymore. I have been a Khols shopper for men's clothes for the last 10 years. Just add another hash mark to your list of lost customer's while you file your bankrupcy papers. My Rating is 0 STARS!

Kohls does not recognize customer's with disabilities. They would not let me try on some pants because I use leg braces. They said If I didn't buy the clothes they would have to throw them away because they cannot come in contact with people's medical devices and be resold. I was stopped by their security. I have enough problems getting around and I don't need this to add to my phyical challenges.

Kohl's seemed like the ideal job to me! As the months went by, I learned of all the BS that really went on! Managers making out on the dock, picking on helpless employees! EWWW! I'm sick! People please beware that if you work for Kohl's, please only work seasonal! They will hound you and make you wish that you never worked there before!!!!! They also show favoritism to the managers pet!!!

I am very unhappy with new return policy at Kohl's. I was returning a small item that was part of a Kohl's cash sale and was told would lose $10 off return, I asked for a merchandise credit instead, they stated they can't do that anymore. So I said I'll bring back everything, I also bought a watch and void all Kohl's cash, the clerk felt very bad and I think embarrassed because she knows I spend THOUSANDS a year there, about $300 a month. That was when policy 1st went into effect and I have never made a purchase that would involve Kohl's cash again. I am saving a bundle because my purchases have drop tremendously, before I would buy to buy, now I make sure I will never return before I buy anything at Kohl's. So in a way thank you Kohl's for saving me a ton of money. My only other issue that made me upset is there was no prior notice and I do have a few items I would have liked to return, now I'll have to keep, donate or find a consignment shop. I refuse to return and get nothing for them. I feel they could make exceptions for good MVC customers!! Way to go Kohl's now you are right up there with JCP making huge retail mistakes.

I spent over 200 dollars at kohls receiving 40 dollars in kihls cash. I had spent the cask the same day and then I had to make a return at a different counter which was ridiculous and then they told me that I had to get ten dollars off of what I had paid because I spent my cash when the shirt was Only 25 dollars if they wanted to take anything it should have been 5 dollars. I am never shopping at kohls again. Bad customer service and horrible return policy!!!

I am an employee at Kohl's in Lake Wales, Florida. I think that my Kohl's is the best place to work of any Kohl's. We always strive for 100 percent in all categories, credit, e-mails, and sales and make our metrics, most of the time. Why do we do this? Because we as Kohl's associates want to make our manager Sean, proud of us and we are thankful that we have a job in this economy. I will say this about the credit and e-mail, Why wouldn't you want to save money in today's economy? Even signing up for e-mails, Kohl's has Yes Passes, which save you 15%, and the best thing about the credit card is, when you sign up for it and get approved, go ahead get your 20% off your purchase and then turn around and pay it off and have a zero balance. I would love for all of the people who had a bad experience at other Kohl's, to come one time to ours and then see the difference. About the other workers who are upset at their hours, all I can say about that is come to work when you are scheduled, do a good job, and you will get the hours. I would like to vote for Sean to be Manager of the Year- he deserves it!!!

I am so frustrated with Kohl's right now! I've never had an issue with them....until I pay my Kohl's card in full. Now they aren't getting the interest so I guess they are upset. I paid it off last Wednesday..this is Monday. They have pulled it from my bank, online it shows a 0 balance and the customer service people say it's a 0 balance. So, I go to make some purchases yesterday and my card is declined! WHAT?? They said since the payment was over 500, they can't post it for 7 business days. Well, guess what Kohl's. You are losing more interest this way. HORRIBLE way to do business...

First of all I HATE the new price signs, I am 45 years old and they are very hard to read, have to be almost on top of them to see price, it has to have more contrast so you can see it from a further distance. I use to love going to Kolhs for their quality and GOOD prices, where has that gone?????

I have been a Kohl’s card holder for years. On 7/16, I requested a payment come out of my checking account on the 7/19. When I checked my bank statement, I had a $35 overdraft fee. I noticed that my Kohl’s payment came out on 7/16, not 7/19. I called Kohl’s and talked to Emily, a “customer service” representative. She was very unhelpful so I asked to speak to a supervisor. After a long wait, I talked to Sam, a supervisor. I gave her my confirmation number and she said that if I had CALLED to make the payment instead of doing it online, she could reverse the charge which would credit my bank account $35. However, since I made the payment online, this could not be fixed. I asked her to mail, email or fax me a copy of the payment information showing it coming out on the 16th and she said she didn’t have those capabilities. I told her I was very unhappy and disappointed and she said she was sorry. I told her I’d like to close my account and she quickly did that. As we were getting off the phone, she asked if there was anything else she could do for me. I asked her to credit me $35 and of course, she couldn’t. I will no longer shop at Kohl’s and told her I would share this information with my friends and family.

Subject: KOHLS, Port Orange, Florida, ERROR -- Acct Nbr.***********4378 1) Bill Due 05-16-2012 in the amount of $36.01 was PAID ONLINE 05-15-2012 via my personal checking account ATM card and received Confirmation #12051409723328. 2) Next month received a bill in the amount of $36.01 + $25.00 late charge = $61.01. 3) Took the bill, with above paid confirmation to the Dept. Store and explained the situation to the lady behind the desk and was told I needed to talk to someone on their "special" set-up telephone -- whereby customers coming to that desk could overhear any conversation being conducted; which is very unprofessional and a distinct invasion of privacy. 4) Picked up the telephone and gave the same information to the "person". She promptly told me "they do not accept Visa" (which is my checking account ATM). Ergo, it didn't matter that I'd received a confirmation number for payment received. 5) When I insisted that they gave me a Confirmation Number accepting my payment -- she became indignant and said it was not their problem. 6) Incensed & embarrassed at being placed in this overall position and beginning to feel faint due to rising blood pressure (with many serious health issues) I just wanted to get out of there. Ergo, my mistake was not insisting on talking to a Supervisor -- instead I asked what I owed and I'd be CLOSING MY ACCOUNT IMMEDIATELY. Additionally, requested that I be notified, via mail, that I closed my account on that date and time. The "person" slammed the phone down. AS OF THIS DATE, 07-18-12, HAVE NOT RECEIVED THAT REQUEST. 7) I returned to the desk and the lady apologized; saying she was so sorry. Yet, are you ready for this -- she "COULD NOT ACCEPT MY BANK ATM CARD". I had to dig up the total amount due IN CASH, which took every penny I had on me. 8) I asked her if she had a pair of scissors to which she handed me -- I cut up my Kohl's card in front of her and thanked her. Kohl's has lost a valuable customer who signed up for a credit card well in advance of the store being built here in Port Orange. And, yes I've been openly verbal with details of my dastardly treatment to family, friends, my BB&T Bank, customers at Bealls, Marshall's and every store I visit including the dealership where I just purchaed my new vehicle. Yes, absolutely this event will go into my Christmas letter with nearly 100 recipients.

I was in Kohls today with my daughter to return and exchange some items. When we walked up to customer service there was this idiot female named Melissa standing there blowing bubbles and open mouth chewing this bubble gum. My daughter went first and exchanged her shirt and Melissa licked her fingers and put spit on the new shirt. I turned to my daughter and said that was disgusting and then it was my turn. She did't say a word to me so I just said refund it. She put the bills in my hand and dropped the change on the counter and still didn't say anything. I just called and reported her to the manager and she apologetic and said she would take care of it as soon as we hung up. I hoping she does because I will be really rude if I ever go back to Kohls.

I have worked in retail for 30 years, and when Kohl's opened a new store in our city, I was so happy to get a job working for them. Well, the way they run their stores, it shouldn't be too long before they close their doors. I have never seen such a poorly run company in all my life. What happened to the days of full-time employees running their own departments, and really "know" whats going on in their departments, keeping them stocked, neat and orderly...not at Kohl's. They have you "blitzing" in every department but your own, or running up to the registers to help, cause they don't schedule enough people to adequately run a store. The customers are so frustrated because #1-they can't find an employee, #2-nothing is sized or organized, because management doesn't care how it looks, just get the freight out, #3-the back stock sits in the warehouse, with no one to replenish it, so again, lost sales and disappointed customers, #4-they don't allow you to do what your good at, they push you around from one area to the next, and would sooner put someone who doesn't know squat about merchandising, into a department and they have no clue as to what their doing, and then you have to re-do it again, because they screwed it all up! I mean, does this make any sense at all? Currently at our store, we are without a manger, and the assistant manager that is running it right now...well, they'll be lucky if they have any employees left to operate the store, because associates are quitting left and right. They don't train anyone, they just throw them out to the wolves and of course the majority of them, never come back. Not to mention the big wages they pay $7.25 "WOW", and then they wonder why they can't keep help. WAKE UP CORPORATE...and get a clue on how to run a store, you can't keep on like this, your going to go BELLY UP, before you know it! I'd like to see some of you from Corporate, with your bright ideas, go into a store and work under these conditions, with hardly anyone on the sales floor, run your ass off trying to help customers, plus get your work load done in between, all for the big "minimum wage" of $7.25, and get a kick in your ass, as your going out the door. "NICE"........ It's high time, you start listening to people who have been around the block a few times, and know what retail is all about, and you might find yourself, back on top~not only with your associates, but with customers as well. Quit spending money on sending out coupons, and give the customer a great price right away, and all the money you spend on TV ads, and weekly advertising is ridiculous! One ad a week is plenty, and most of the time, you advertise the same merchandise, over and over. Not to mention, the money you spend on ad-set associates, it's just crazy. You could give those associates more time spent on stocking, organizing and mostly helping customers...not just saying "HI", and whizzing past them like a dirty sheet! Get a clue on how to operate a successful store, because I've seen stores come and go, and if you don't take good advice from a "veteran" like myself, you can count on closing the doors...I experienced how it feels, and it's the worst. I worked for the F.W.Woolworth Company, and they were the best company to work for. They treated their employees great, and offered contests in your district or region, for outstanding displays that were promoting a certain companies product. It was a great incentive, and I personally won an all expense paid trip to Disney World, a $1000 savings bond and a $500 savings bond. But, when WalMart took over the country, they shut down a lot of companies. It's just very sad the way things are being run today. You can still turn a negative into a positive, if you would just listen to your employees, and treat them respectfully, we hard working and loyal employees deserve it. Thank you.
