Kohl's new return policy stinks. I received a kohl's $10 off "gift" coupon in the mail. I had forgotten about it so it was close to expiring so I hurried up and grabed something because I was in a hurry and didn't want it to expire. I had to return the item and was told that I would get nothing back. At first they told me that I could get an item that was the same price a the original item - so after I found something I went back to Customer Service where she still couldn't get it to make the exchange. Apparently it has to be the exact same item - which makes no sense at all. I hear this is the same way now if you use Kohl's cash. They really need to rethink thier return policy.

I have rarely had a cashier fold my clothing purchases at Kohl's. I buy the higher end clothing from Kohl's(Vera Wang, Rock & Republic, Jennifer Lopez)and I am not happy with the way that my purchases are just stuffed in the bag. I live 40 miles from the store and usually am not going directly home after I leave Kohl's. If the items were at least lightly folded, they would be wearable without ironing them...of which some of them can't be ironed easily. I don't own a steamer and I am afraid to put the items in the dryer. When they ask if you want the hangers and you say yes...then they leave the clothing on the hanger and stuff it in the bag hanger and all.
What an awful place to work. When I first started it seemed all find and dandy until i started learning about all the bullcrap. Managers CONSTANTLY hounding us about reaching credit& email goals and making us feel like shit if we don't reach it, practically having us harass the customers to sign up for a lousy piece of plastic. It's a shame because I used to love shopping at kohls before I started working there, now it only leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth. It's no surprise that people are constantly quitting & the store is constantly re-hiring.
i spent over 80 on sheets they were irregular , over stretched material was awful... i wrote to kohls to see if i could retun for full cash refund as store said no because they were washed and thy would only creidit kohls charge if they did take them back despite me already paying off the charge already ( so nats like a store credit thats not fair and as far as washing sheets well diuh thy tell u to wash before putting on bed and that was how i founf out so bad thy are.....but got no answer from corporate ,or website.......i will not shop here again
I with I could give a 0 or negative rating! I've worked at Kohl's 478 for a very long time now, and honestly I regret all of the good things I have done for them. I have learned that the smallest bits of criticism can land you in a lot of trouble. The management team is unprofessional and allows sexual harassment on a daily basis! If you complain about it, you get written up! It's not the place to be.
I always go in kohls mainly for my kids clothes, but the last time I went in we ran in to get a mothers day gift and was stand a checkout. Now there was 5 people in line in front of me and 4 behind me. Two cashiers the second cashier was checking out a off duty employee. Which we thought could have actually went to the return section, where assistant manager was. But the worse thing abou it she said she wasnt checking us out she had to get back to her department .. So we had ti sit there for this one person ti check out all these people no management help or other assistance. With kohls being a yea u can store I didn't feel that they were interested in customer... Very disgusted
One day as I was shopping with my sister at Kohl’s (at Carson City, NV) I heard an employee say on her radio: “yes, I see them, two with brown hair”. It so happens that me and my sister are the only ones among the few customers in the store with brown hair. At first I thought I was just exaggerating the situation as I have never been followed around and watched by employees anywhere else I’ve shopped at. So, a few days later I went back to the store. I decided to try something on. As I entered in the fitting rooms a lady announced on the speakerphone: “fitting rooms- visual-fitting rooms-visual”. Furthermore, when I went out I decided to check out the petite’s section. Next thing I hear on the speakerphone again: “petites-visual-petites-visual”. Seriously, this is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever experienced. Being harassed like this is just outrageous. Never going back there again.
After a couple years of servitude at Kohl's I've learned that your success or failure as an employee depends greatly on who your Manager is. Some are so cliqueish and high school like its difficult to get hours as you aren't apart of their group. Its ridiculous at times - just want to throw your hands up and give up.
I hate going to kohls now. I am sick of being pressured to open a kohls charge everytime I shop. I have heard they cut the associates hours when they don't get enough people to sign up for the charge card so I feel bad saying no, but I want to shop in peace and not be hassled.
After returning several items, Kohl's offered me a corporate refund. That is a joke! They say you will have it in 7-10 days. I, now have been waiting 5 months, and still no end in sight. They give you a number to call to check on the refund, but they never answer the phone. I have waited over an hour on hold and finally had to hang up. They , literally, are stealing from us! I have 3 other friends waiting on corporate refunds for over 6 months and they cannot reach Kohl's either. When calling their customer service to complain, their response is, "You'll have to call corporate. We don't deal with that." This is just plain robbery.
I love kohls! I went today to the mesquite store in Texas. Customer service was awesome, they did not try to push a credit card on me... Kudos to everyone in that store that helped me out today. That is the only store I am going to shop at from now on
THIS IS THE WORST STORE EVER!!!!! IM TELLING ALL MY FRIENDS FAMILY AND STUDENTS NOT TO SHOP THERE. I revived a gift for my birthday but I gained some weight since my friend last saw me So I go back to return it but the rude lady tells me I need a license I have changed things before with kohls never did they ask this. So I tell the lady my purse was stolen and I don't have my license So the rude lady tells me to come back when I get it becouse she can't help me. So I wait and go back then she tells me this iteam is now on sale so instead of $50 you get $10 but you're friend used a coupon that was $10 so you don't get that back So tecnecly I get $0 for my return I tell her It will be fine if I just get my size I like what my friend got me She tells me no uou have to return it then but the new thing so I ended up not returning it I call my friend and she tells me she didn't use a coupon. So what gives kohls I've been hearing a lot of things like this you guys are going to run out of business if you guys keep this up.
Kohls hires the weirdest people who have way less mannerisms than my 5 yr old ! Thru r rude ! Especially if u are not white ! They shrug n make fun of u ! Managers do nothing about it either no point talking to them ! Anyways i love Macy's that's my store !
First of all I only put a star because I had to but if the option was there for none I would have chose that one. Kohls has been good to me so far the three years I have shopped there, never any issues combining coupons and I have never been haggled to get a ccard but just recently I have been told that kohls is changing there kohls cash policy. Now if I make a purchase for let's say mothers day gift and receive kohls cash, if my mother returns it even with a gift receipt I will lose the value of my kohls cash. This is a new policy that I don't know why they are applying this it makes no sense I give you my hard earned money and u keep it and take away my kohls cash. Now I'm going to have to hurry and spend it before my mother might return her gift or I'm out $10 additional. This is horrible and I hope they take it back because I don't see how that works well for the customer...Makes me not want to spend more than $45
Kohl's Westfield, IN harrasses their employees about getting Kohl's Credit Cards and penalizes them if they don't meet the requirements. If a customer says NO, you are EXPECTED to push on...telling them about the so-called wonderful benefits of having a charge card. Really? In today's economy? A customer told me persistence is fine in some instances, when appropriately placed. This store's management does not care. Their mentality is push-on regardless. Does the customer get angry with the Store Manager or the POS person? Obviously the latter. If you do not get the required amount of credit cards, your hours are cut and you are constantly being told to step up your game. Unbelievable! Tell me these so-called Managers are not getting a financial reward for how many credit cards their employees get for their store! Yet do the employees get any financial rewards? Hell no! Now the latest thing is to refer customers to the online survey and tell them to give our store all "highly satisfieds"...obviously Management doesn't know the reason behind online store surveys - they are for customer OPINIONS good, bad or otherwise - NOT for store personnel persuasion tactics designed to influence customer's opinions! Customer's have opinions of their own, which is why they offer online surveys to begin with. MORE POWER TO THE CUSTOMER! SHOP ELSEWHERE FOR YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY.

I have been with Kohls for almost 6 years as a part time associate. A male coworker was hired & within his 90 day probation period, I have endured several harassing situations with him. I do not feel my complaints have been handled properly. I have told my store manager repeatedly that I needed a resolution to this. Finally, 2 months later, my store manager has told me I have a resolution. The resolution from my store manager is.... 'it's over now, you have your resolution, nothing else will happen-but if it does, you let me know. You have your closure that you wanted.' What is my resolution? I have yet to figure out. Any disciplinary action taken? Not that I can tell. This coworker doesn't even know HE did anything wrong. What upsets me is the April computer assessments that were mandatory to take about Ethics & Harassment. What a joke! I don't feel Kohls practices what they preach! I did really enjoy working for Kohls & now I am so disappointed with the company. I feel like I am the one who needs to quit to get away from this torment. - Not Fair!!
Can I give Kohls no stars?! I'm yet another customer who is very unhappy with the way I was treated by Kohls regarding an online order. This is a retailer that has struggled to gain any loyalty because there is nothing good that seperates it from its competitors. In fact, the only thing now is its ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE service. Never again will I purchase from a Kohls store or online. They were disrespectful and it seems the web is full of complaints about the same terrible service.
TODAY I SHOPPED AT KOHLS AND THE SERCURITY PLASTIC WAS NOT TAKEN OF SO I CALLED THE STORE IN SACRAMENTO TRUXEL LOCATION , I ASKED TO SPEAK TO A MANAGER, THE MANAGER TARA GOT ON THE PHONE I TOLD HER THAT IT WAS NOT FAIR FOR ME TO HAVE TO GO ALL THE WAY BACK TO THE STORE CAUSE OF THERE MISTAKE, HER REPLY WAS YOU CAN EITHER WARE IT WITH THE SERCURITY TAG CAUSE WE DONT GO INTO HOMES TO REMOVE TAGS ,, WELL KOHLS THE CUSTOMER SERVICE GETS A BIG FAT ZERO , MY HUSBANDS CHARGE CARD JUST GOT SHREADED,,, AND TARA YOU ARE A VERY RUDE MANAGER , YOU NEED SO RETRAINING ASAP...
