I shop in your Ocala store, per your add on 9/28 you had a bissel pro heat 2x model 9500 on sale. I was there at 2pm and found none in the store. Received a rain check. No word on it coming in. I was in the store on Saturday, doing some other shopping and found that again the rug washer machine is now on sale for a lower price, again none in the store. Customer service was very helpful and gave me a new rain check with the lower price. Called the store Sunday and asked for the manager of that department please give me a call. No call as of 12 noon 10/15. Today I called and spoke again to your customer service dept (very helpful)and now I am told this model is discontinued. How can Kohl's advertise an item twice and give out rain checks for a discontinued item. I am not please as now I need to start all over shopping for a rug washer. Corporate should make sure that all items that are sent in their flyer for sale is stocked in their stores. Please respond to my personal email --.pstruzz@netzero.com

My husband wanted to buy me a watch for my birthday last Friday, October 8th, and I suggested that we go to Kohl's in Lakewood, CA., since they were having their night owl sales. As we walked over to the jewelry counter, I noticed that the line for the registers had about 15 people waiting to be checked out. Out of 6 registers, only 4 were open. I saw 3 watched that I wanted to look at, so my husband asked the lady behind the counter if we could be helped. She told him, "You need to wait, I am helping this lady here and another one is ahead of you." (RUDE!) So we waited, and waited. Finally she is on her way down the counter, then stops to help ANOTHER LADY!! At the same time, my husband and I spoke up saying that we were next. She tells us that she forgot about this other lady, who was there before us, but left to go look at something else. Hello - doesn't that mean she left out of line?? There are no number counters to help avoid this type of situation. She then says to us,"Can't you just wait? I will be wit you in a minute!" We tell her no, we have been waiting long enough and she took somebody who was no longer in line - then she yells back at me saying, "Why you gotta be like dat?! What's your problem?" OMG was this young girl looking for trouble or what? Needless to say - the argument continued on. People in line were siding with me - there are never enough employees in the store to help assist. I understand the economy and not being about to hire a huge amount of employees. However, Kohl's is a company who claims to be making profits!! When they know they are going to be having big sales like this, they must bring in more employees! It's that simple. So our venture in purchasing me a watch took us to JC Penny, and I am now a proud owner of a beautiful, two-toned, Citizen watch.

I worked for Kohl's in California for a few weeks. I went through the training process ( or what they call the training process, since the manager signed off that I finished the training, when in fact I didn't ). I then went to work for the Jewelry Department. A snotty girl asked me if I was smart enough to do the job, not once, BUT TWICE! I proceeded to do her job, and sale better then her within the first hour. Not that hard to figure out! Then I finally meet the manager. She had such foul breath, I had to hold mine! I was told by another manager that my personal references were contacted, when in fact they never were contacted. This unprofessional store did not deserve me, so I quit. A few months later, I find out they have a labor practice lawsuit being filed against Kohl's. I went to participate, but Kohls is saying that I only worked for them for 1 week. Well, it was longer then 1 week, since I got 4 paychecks, because of all the "supposed" training! Again, very unprofessional, dishonest, lazy... By the sounds of the previous posts, Kohl's isn't a very good store!

I used to work for Kohl's in California. I was 'set-up' and terminated. A 'customer' begged me to take his Kohls Cash because he was leaving the country and would not be able to use it. Saturday I received a letter from Corporate HR asking me to contact the store manager because I haven't worked for the past 60 days; duh! I will contact the manager and see how 'screwed up' Kohl's really is.

Kohls in Indianapolis,Indiana has instituted a policy, which they say is corporate policy, of asking for proof of identity when you pay with a credit. This is looking a customer in the eye and implying to them that they are attempting to pay with a stolen credit card. It is insulting. A clerk told me that this policy was instituted in March of this year. Customer service told me you can use a Debit card or a Kohls card without showing ID. I don't see the difference. It is impossible to get through to anyone but a phone answerer or receptionist when trying to call the corporate office. Apparently Kohls doesn't trust or respect its customers. I will no longer shop there and have told others in the Kohls parking lot and also my friends and acquaintances not to shop there.

For our horrendous experience at Kohl's on 6650 N. 5th St. North Las Vegas, Nevada 89086, we rate this store a big fat "F". From now on we won't be shopping at this store unless Amanda is gone. She really upset us very, very much. We will tell our friends about our bad experience there and encourage them not to shop there anymore.

We,ve been shopping at Kohl's for several years now. We had no problem until we encountered this sales clerk named Amanda from the jewelry department on 6650 N. 5th St., No. Las Vegas, Nevada. First, we came by to pick up jewelry my wife ordered earlier. She told us to wait until she re-arrange her displays in front of her jewelry counter. When she was done, she returned only to wait on people who purchased items from other departments but were too lazy to go to the main checkout. She made us wait again for a few minutes until my wife asked her out loud it we were in the wrong line. When she finally decided to wait on us, she was rude, inconsiderate and downright discrimatory. I think people with her attitude don't belong in sales...or customer service. She is the bad apple that spoils the bushel.

I went shopping at one of the new kohls stores in my hometown. They refused my payment method. So, I called then I emailed corporate office about the situation. Here is the email I sent....(Beware writing checks here) To whom it may concern, My check was not accepted at the time of payment. I called your 1-800 number only to be told it wasn't accepted not because of no funds but because of being a first time customer writing my first check with you. I was told the reason of that being that I have yet to build a history with Kohls. Really? Is this how you treat your customers? I have never shopped anywhere before where I had the funds in my account to pay yet was denied to right to pay in such form due to me never writing a check there. The lady suggested that next time I shop to write my check for a smaller amount to start to build a relationship with kohls then later I would have no problem writing a check with a bigger amount. What? I told her my check was only written out for 35.72. How much more would I have to go down in order to write one? 5.00? Her response was well I dont have the exact amount on me but if I did I would tell you. By this time I was so furious but really wanted my merchandise that I hung up on her and went ahead and paid in cash. I feel that this ridiculous policy is indeed an inconvience to your guest. You might want to consider changing it before you lose customers!!

The stars I give Kohls is 1.....very poor policies!!!!!!!!!!

I received a Kohl's ad 2 days ago with an insert for watches. There is a watch on there that I am extremely interested in. I tried the web ID but it says that item doesn't exist. The sale started today so I went to the Kohl's location by my house (the next one is over 30 minutes away). They did not have the watch either. The customer service lady was very nice and tried to call to some other stores but to no avail. None of the stores or the website has this watch listed. I called the toll free kohls.com customer service and she couldn't help me either. If you are going to advertise something, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE have it online or in your stores. I'm really upset about this and I haven't decided whether or not I will be a continued customer of Kohl's.

MESQUITE,TEXAS 75150 THIS STORE IS A COMPLETE MESS. CLOTHES ALL OVER THE FLOOR AND ONE CASHIER ON A SATURDAY. i NEVER SEE ANY EMPLOYEES PICKING UP OR CLEANING. sTORE IS ALWAYS IN POOR CONDITION WITH GHETTO ASSOCIATES WHO SAY NOTHING TO CUSTOMERS. I CALLED AND HEATHER THE ASSISTANT MANAGER SAYS ITS THE CUSTOMERS WHO SHOP THERE AND MESS UP THE STORE. THIS IS HOW GHETTO THE MANAGEMENT IS, TELLING THE SHOPPERS WE ARE MESSING UP THE STORE???? TELLING CUSTOMERS THAT IT IS THE CUSTOMERS OF THE STORE??? UNBELIEVEABLE! WE PAY THOSE PEOPLES SALARIES. I WONDER HOW VERA WANG A WONDERFUL DESIGNER, WOULD FEEL SEEING HER CLOTHING ALL OVER THE FLOOR. SHE DESIGNS MILLION DOLLAR DRESSES AND KOHLS DOES NOT HAVE THE SENSE ENOUGH TO DISPLAY HER MERCHANDISE PROPERLY OR EVEN KEEP IT ON THE HANGERS. WHAT A SHAME!

I love Kohl's for their great selections and outstanding values...HOWEVER I WILL NEVER STEP INTO ANOTHER KOHL'S AS LONG AS I LIVE, AND I WILL BE SURE TO TELL EVERYONE I KNOW, AND THAT IS A LOT OF PEOPLE TO ALSO BOYCOTT ALL KOHL STORES, AND WHEN THEY HEAR MY STORY I AM SURE THEY WILL. This morning I was shopping at the Kohl's in Raleigh NC (#466) on Falls of Neause Rd. After PAYING FOR MY PURCHAES I WAS ASKED TO NOT LEAVE BY A VERY RUDE MAN. HE PROCEEDED TO LEAD ME TO AN OFFICE AND ACCUSE ME OF SHOP-LIFTING....HONESTLY I THOUGHT THIS MUST BE A PRACTICAL JOKE...IT WASN'T. He went on to inform me that I was videotaped stealing 2 $10 rings...which of course is NOT TRUE!!! Why would I just pay for $60 in merchandise and steal $20 of other merchandise...his respose to me, "how would I know." I requested to see this supposed tape, his answer "I don't have to show you anything." This is where the threats now began..."we can do this the easy way or I can call the cops, and have you sent to jail and ruin your whole day." I TRIED to discuss this with him and to find out what he was talking about, but to no avail. He was rude, bullying, threatening and completely out of line. He would not give me his name, would not call in the Store Manager, again would not show me his so-called "evidence tape", would not allow me or agree to escort me back to the "scene of the crime." He proceeded to tell me I lied, stole and that I "seemed" a bit crazy. I asked my options and his answer,"agree to everything I tell you and we can get through this easier, otherwise I will ruin not only your day but your life, and I have the power to do it." Well at this point I certainly realized I was dealing with an ignorant, pompous, control freak and was terrified if I did not agree with him, so I did, though nothing I agreed to was true. He then informed me I had to sign an (UNFILLED) form out admitting my "guilt" and agreeing to never shop at any Kohl's again. When I asked him why the form blanks were left empty, "I'll fill them out later, it's none of your business what I write or put into my final report." Again when I inquired about his name "you needn't worry about that...and then said Jonathan, that's all you need to know." Of course I asked him for a copy of this (unfilled in) form, "NO your're not entitled to it, if Kohl's wants you to have one they'll mail it to you." FOR THE RECORD I HAVE NOT, HAVE NEVER, WILL NEVER AND HAVE NO NEED TO STEAL ANYTHING EVER!!! This was an emotionally abusive situation, at best, not to mention degrading and unethical." Upon completetion of this "review" I will be contacting my local media, both TV and print, as well as my attorney, the BBB and your corporate offices. Joanne Seibert

i made a purchase in a local kohls store on labor day weekend and changed my mind a day later making the return to the same store the purchase was deducted from my account the same day but the return took a couple of days at first i associated the slowness of the return with the holiday but on the 9-7 a return was made to my account and in a matter of minutes it was again deducted from my account this is my money but apparently the only care about you if your a kohls charge customer i spoke with the store to resolve it but was unable to get an immediate result but was pushed off to another day they stated that they had to send it to accounting at their corp hq in trying to reolve the matter myself i spoke with the only corp # i could find and they only concerned themselves with kohsl charge customers as well as frustrating as this is its even more frustrating because i am a former employee so i am well aware of what can be done in this situation shop elsewhere

The pay is the worse, dont give any raise. The work is overwhelming. Management needs to give more hours instead of having associates working in 3 departments at the same time. Thats why kohls is always hiring because many people find other jobs that pay better and have better management (professional). Corporate makes the big bucks but dont consider paying the associates more the ones who keeps your store clean and organized

I am an associate at a colorado kohls store #415, we are having a major fire outbreak in Boulder Colorado-my heart goes out to those who no longer have the mandatory things such as clothesm bedding, etc- is there any way we can do some time of fundraising-promo -coupon whatever yal wana do to help these poor people?$500 dollars is NOT enough (through the fundraising) to help the 150 people plus who have lost soooo much- please-I love Kohls and i would love to try to help as muchg as possiple. Thank You

MY SON AND I BOTH WORK AT THE KOHL'S IN WILMINGTON NC. MY SON TOOK ON A SECOND JOB A COUPLE OF MONTHS AGO TO HELP PAY THE BILLS. HE WENT TO WORK FOR THE CLEANING SERVICE THAT COMES IN TO CLEAN KOHL'S. ANY WAY THE WOMAN THAT RUNS OUR STORE, ROBIN FOUND OUT ABOUT IT AND TOLD THE SUPERVISOR OF THE CLEANING SERVICE THAT IF SHE SAW MY SON ON THE JOB AT ONE OF THE OTHER STORES THAT THEY CLEAN THAT SHE WOULD DROP THAT CLEANING SERVICE. SHE HAD NO RIGHT TO TALK TO THE SUPERVISOR THAT WAY OR TO THREATEN MY SON'S SECOND JOB. WHAT END UP HAPPENING WAS THE CLEANING SERVICE CUT MY SON'S HOURS WHERE HE COULD NOT MAKE ANY MONEY. SO HE QUIT HOPING KOHL'S WOULD GIVE HIM MORE HOURS WHICH THEY DID NOT DO. KOHL'S HAS CALLED MY SON IN AND HE HAS VOLUNTEERED TO TAKE OTHER PEOPLE'S HOURS THAT CAN'T WORK. MY SON HAS BEEN AN EXCELLENT EMPLOYEE AND KOHL'S HAS TREATED HIM LIKE DIRT. THEY SEEM TO GIVE ALL THE HOURS TO THEIR FAVORITES WHICH IS NOT RIGHT. WE HAVE TO WORK JUST LIKE THEY DO. THANK YOU FOR ALL THAT READ THIS!!!! SUSAN HUNTER

EVERY Kohls needs to clean up on how they treat there associates. We all work so hard for the store but yet keep getting dumped on. I think you should have a set time schedule or at least have set hours you hired us for. The single parents or the people on there own do not know if they will be able to make all thier bills for the month. Lucky for the people who have two jobs, they can afford a decrease in hours a bit more than the ones that do not. Favorism is also a issue. At least at 1062. If you ever change ur schedule for get getting decent hours. I hve experienced this and Kohls as a whole is very dissappointing. Unfortunatly your lucky that your cutomers do not know this side of you which is the one of the reasons that makes you successful. I do like Kohls, store wise and all the low prices. Keep that up but change on how you treat associates.

First let me start by saying, who in the Corporate office cares about the employees at Kohls. My daughter work for Kohls, and she got in a car accident, was off work per her doctor, but she got wrote up for it,she was told that the doctor note did not cover this, it took over a month for them to do this, she was late, and it took 25 day for them to respond to this, who wait this late to take care of anything. Thinking about talking to someone regarding this matter. I know for a fact that they are not following guidelines. They need better management. They need to take care of things in a timely manner.I don't understand why this wasn't explain to her when she told them she had a doctor note, if it was no good, but instead they let her be off work, then write her up,I feel sorry if any of your employees should have a death in their family and can't take time off work without being wrote up for it. There need to be something done about this. It needs to start with management in how they are doing thier job, and how they do it with in a timely manner. I work retail and I know some of the guidelines for certain procedures, and how it should be done. This is concerning your store off Summit in Fontana. Maybe Management needs to be retrain on how to do things in a timely manner. I would like a respond to this before I take it to the next level.

Congradulations must be in order for what appears to be a very sucessfull business. So sucessfull, in fat, that you will refuse to sell to 6 million americans. Who are these people? Why, according to NBC News, they are the growing number of americans that are considered obese. How can I verify this? In attempting to shop in various stores, I have been unable to find a pair of pants in the men's department with a waist size of 40" or over, nor a shirt larger than XL. And it's not just obese people; in the 1960's, Rosie Greir was considered a freak while playing football in the NFL because hw was over 300 Lbs. Now, many High School players are in that group. But you won't sell them clothes for the rest of their lives? Who is the marketing Genius that came up with that strategy? Lets just see how this works in the long run.

I used to be an avid Kohl's shopper, but my last two visits have made me reconsider where I shop. I understand that I may save 15% if I apply for a Kohl's credit card, even if I am not approved. After I say, "No thank you." The issue should be dropped. I don't want to be asked 4 more times and made me feel like I'm a fool because I am not applying. Do you really think it feels good to be told by a Kohl's employee with 4 other people in line that you aren't approved, when I knew that in the first place? Do I need to share with people the difficulty my family has had because my husband had lost his job? I used to shop at the Kohl's in Plainfield and in Yorkville, Il. I know your building in Yorkville could use all the business it can get. Today, I was asked 4 times by your sales associate James if I was sure I didn't want to apply, and how much money I could save. I know there is a contest or bonus for those employees who sign up the most customers, but after someone politely says, "No", please listen.
