RE: KOHLS, SOUTH CORONA CALIFORNIAToday we had an incident in my Law Office with a rude temporary receptionist and it lost our firm a client. This made me think of an experience last week in your South Corona, CA store that I feel compelled to share. -- I was in line for some time with a single cashier open and the cashier was arguing with a customer about her coupon. A line formed in back me, and I asked who else in line had coupons and everyone including myself raised our hands. Eventually the Manager in charge (a tall woman with dark graying short hair) came out and took over. The original cashier moved to another register and called me over to be rung up. The cashier then began to argue with me about my coupon too. I explained I used the coupon per the printed restrictions, and eventually she completed my order and I paid and finished. Before I left, I watched the Manager in charge berate the first customer with the coupon. She demanded in a rude voice, "Have you used this coupon in MY store today." She continued to raise her voice at the customer until the customer eventually left. The woman with the coupon was buying a bunch of close out Christmas stuff (you would think they would have been happy to get it out of the store - it is February!) My cashier told me that another Kohls cashier from another area named Veronica had called over and said that the customer had already used a coupon in the store today and evidently described them and that is the reason the Manager in charge was so hostile. Evidently it was all over $5.00. It was so embarrassing for the customer that was being treated in such a hostile manner by Kohls employees. Such rude customer service, it made me never want to visit your store again. A third customer that was in line behind me stopped me in the parking lot and told me how bad she felt for the customer that was yelled at, and that he too was appa
Your support of working families, means a lot. I shop at Kohl's a bit, but will now shop even more. Thank you!
I put in an order online for the 1/2 carat princess cut diamond earrings on sale for $319.00, Not to my fault, there was so called "technical" problems. I tried every half hour to no satisfaction. I definetly no they were in stock cuz I got that far on the site. I just couldn't finalize the order. Then guess what happens [no surprise] they are out of stock!!!!!!!!!! I shop alot at Kohl's but I will not be anymore!! What a disappointment, the earrings were to be my mom's 86th birthday present.
I am not specifying my name due to the fact that I am a current employee of Kohl's Store 699. Reading some of your reviews I am completely appalled! I'm just going to answer some quick concerns that you should be able to find by doing a quick internet search. Kohl's Cash Rewards Program - ---Here's a quick rundown of how this program works. Basically, during one week per month we offer little certificates called Kohl's Cash. You earn $10 worth for every $50 that you spend. This is after your discounts (like an extra 20% off coupon you might have) but BEFORE tax. So say your subtotal adds up to $100, but you have a 10% off card, which brings your total down to $90, and somehow the tax in your state is outrageous and brings your total above $100 (I know this is a stretch but follow me). You would only get $10 in Kohl's cash. HOWEVER, you absolutely are allowed to add receipts together. So say the day before you bought a blouse that was $15 before tax and after your discounts. You could add that receipt to your today's receipt and have an extra $10 activated for you! The next week when Kohl's Cash is now activated you would be able to present those certificates to get $20.00 taken off of your purchase NO MATTER THE AMOUNT! So if your purchase was under $20.00 then you would get your purchase for free! ---Returns when using Kohl's Cash is a little bit harder to explain. A basic rundown is this. If you are a frequent shopper at Kohl's it is best to just get in store credit at almost all times! However, you always have two options. The first would be to get your original amount. Depending on the circumstances you might have the amount of Kohl's cash applied to the purchase taken off of your refund. This is because the Kohl's cash is only valid in store and they want it to stay in store since this is money that the company is giving to you to use. PRICES ---Of course as an employee I cannot delve into this much but, as far as price difference from a Kohl's store to an outside source or to another Kohl's store. Clearance items are not a corporate thing. What goes on sale and on clearance is almost always based from store to store. Thus, if you find an item somewhere cheaper, just buy it from there! Kohl's has no problem with that and good for you! You were a smart shopper and tried finding the cheapest price you could. However, I wouldn't expect a return policy as good as Kohl's is! These are the main problems that I read in the reviews, if anyone else has any questions or concerns you always contact me and I can explain non-essential corporate information to you. The only info I can give you is information that we could give you in store and I check my email throughout the day so you'll get a reply in an extremely timely manner! My email address is legitanomie@gmail.com!
Today I took my 6 week old daughter on our first shopping outing and picked Kohls since I used to shop there often. It took us at least 30 minutes to get there only to be told that they had no carts that hold her carseat. Not only did the employee not check to see herself, she made no attempt to see if another employee could locate one in the store. NEVER will I shop again at Kohls as the employees obviously aren't accommodating whatsoever!
I worked at Kohls in 2010. I did not receive my w2 by January 31st. I have moved since the address they had. I called the store in Brownsburg Indiana, and they told me I would have EMAIL corporate and give them my new address and then they will charge me a $10 fee to ask for a new W2. I called the Corporate office, only to be directed to an automated system. So I called back, and the woman hung up on me. Then I called again, still trying to keep my cool, and the woman left me on hold for 30minutes!!!!! How are they training their employees? And why is what I have to say unimportant? Well go figure, it was the same way when I worked there, Which is why I quit. My family and I will never again shop there.
Trying to find out the status of my corporate refund (it has been two weeks, and the receipt instructs me to call an 800 number.) All the automated system will tell me is that it is "processing," and I waited 30+ minutes on hold trying to talk to a real person. I will not be spending this refund check at Kohls.
PAYING YOUR BILL ONLINE...When you attempt to REGISTER..you are told to have at LEAST (1) LETTER in your ID NAME....This is a Typo...You MUST HAVE at least (1) NUMBER in your ID NAME....Well I never use a NUMBER in MY ID NAMES so you can imagine my Frustration when I could NOT successfully Register to PAY my Bill ONLINE !!!! 4 phone calls later ASHLEY was the ONLY person who knew what the trouble was and we had a good laugh!! However, NO Supervisor or Corp pencil-necked geek has seen to correct the WEB page as of present. Though both Ashley and I have attempted to inform the Bonus receiving corp incompetents, nothing has been corrected yet. WE ALL know, if this caused shoppers problems with BUYING online someone would have jumped on a Corp jet in a Detroit Minute and solved the mess immediately !!!!!!!
Dear kohls, your store is insufficient as to solving a problem. Your fitting rooms are beyond disgusting. Not only do you not regulate the people who go in, but you allow people to try everything on, even underwear. That's unsanitary, plus irresponsible of Kohls. Your waiting time to check out is outrageous. People return objects back and you guys don't even care if its been used... you guys just take anything back. Your sales floor is always short on people which makes it even harder to get a great service out of you guys. Now every time someone asks what I think about Kohls ill say its nasty, their company doesn't care and you guys are way over priced for the cheap materials you guys sell. I feel so disappointed from this company and their managers.
It is now February 4, 2011 and I am still waiting for my refund from Deember purchases, your customer service on the telephone is terrible, they all have the same lying speech. It is a total disgrace a compnany as large as yours operated in this way.
YOUR STORES STINK!! THE WORKERS ARENT HELPFULL AT ALL, YOUR MERCHANDISE ISNT NEARLY AS GOOD AS YOUR COMPETITORS AND YOUR PRICES ARE WAY TO HIGH FOR A DEPT STORE... I WILL NEVER EVER WALK INTO ONE OF YOUR STORES AGAIN
Went to Kohls, had a 15% off coupon and Kohl's cash. Kohl's cash was deducted prior to the 15% discount being given. This is NOT stated on the back of the 15% off card..it only states the coupon cannot be combined with any other % off including senior discounts. Called customer service (he was very nice) who kept repeating "this is the correct way to do it." Asked to speak with a manager..he did'nt appear to care. Bottom line..I very politely left my feedback. What a shame to lose a customer over 6 lousy dollars! Would not have minded if the policy had been stated on the 15% off card and I had known this up front.
I am a past employee who encourages anyone I see to "NEVER" shop in a Kohl's store. I began my job at Kohl's when a new store was opening in the area. I learned after the first few months that the management often talked trash behind all of the employees that were a threat to them. I was always highly recognized by shoppers that often came in and shopped. I had a great relationship with the public and enjoyed my job, as long as I was on the sales floor dealing with the public. The more I was recognized by the customers for my great customer service, the more I was a target from management. The management consists of a staff that have no problem backstabbing and cheating employees out of hours and pay. The management even allowed an Admin Assist to call a housekeeper racial names and a staff members children racial names as well. She only gave hours to the people that kissed her A**. I couldn't just go to work and do a great job, I had to deal with the harrassment of the management too. When I called corporate to complain and also the district manager, my job changed from full to part time. The customers were shocked. They couldnt believe I would be cut to part time. I am no longer an employee, I got fired when the same Admin Asst. set me up and made up days I was late and absent to get rid of me. After I got fired she told some other staff that she ran the store and could get rid of anyone she didn't like. I have come up with a great new slogan for there company. KOHLS EXPECT RACIST THINGS!!!! DON'T SUPPORT THIS COMPANY!!!!!
I find it pretty ridiculous how employees are treated like toddlers. I am sick and tired of the management cutting hours for anyone who is not a "Favorite". You would think a favorite employee would be the qualified, educated ones that treat customers in the highest form. Not true, they favor the ones that are not a threat to them and the ones you can buy pizza and treats for instead of giving out raises and more hours. If you want to treat your staff like children I suggest you go hire some from a country that allows that. If you need to be at least 18 years of age to work in a Kohls store, you need to treat your staff like adults instead of children looking for a sucker for a reward!!! I am ashamed that I work in an enviroment that is worse than a high school "clique". Don't go work for Kohl's you will never be considered anything to them, but cheap labor.
Greg Hobson LP manager in Northern California is breaking labor laws for the state of California. He is firing people without cause, or setting them, giving them mixed direction, up so he is able to fire them. He is discussing confidential information on employees and managers with others. If he finds someone is hard working they are a threat and he gets rid of them. He has the highest turn over rate in the country and laughs about it. Greg's main goal is to get bonuses, he doesn't care about Kohls, and laughs about that too. Neither his employees or us Store Manager are safe from the shady things he does to us all. He is completely responsible for the terrible moral problem in his district. He does however protect the group of LP guys from Oakland who cuss and make bad stops. They rough up the customers, accuse them of theft when they have not proof but just believe they have taken something. This group is totally unprofessional and Kohls will find out soon the hard way when there is a lawsuit against them from one of these bad stops. This kind of thing is even against the law in CA, yet Greg protects them. As a whole Kohls has bad policies, but you will find out shortly.
my mom had purchase 2 sonicare tooth bursh by cash at Kohls. she lost the receive, then come to Kohls to exchange, the customer service lady said ok, ask for ID, it will give back the mechandise credit card. after few minute, she give my mom a receive with corporation refund, she said you will receive its around 7 to 10 days. ok, you know what. after 2 week, we receive nothing from Kohls. we try to call. many time a day, 30 or 45 min each, no one answer. my god, please if you(Kohls) don't want to receive back the item without receive, just refuse it, why just get back the item and no pay back the money the customer paid. and just give back the receive to cheat the customer wait with nothing. dammm.........
On December 18, 2010 I visited the Barboursville, WV store and made two purchases at two different times. On January 12, 2011 i found out that the first purchase I made was reversed from may bank account on the 18th of Dec and resubmitted on th 12th of Jan. No one at their local store or at the ""Corporate Office" can explain to me why this occurred. They even went as far to tell me they could not do anything without my whole debit card number. That's exactly what I thought was my reply. BE VERY CAREFUL ABOUT USING YOUR DEBIT CARDS AT THIS STORE. I DON'T KNOW WHO TOOK MY MONEY AND THEN TOOK IT UPON THEMSELVES TO TAKE IT BACK BUT I DOUBT I WILL EVER SHOP AT KOHL'S AGAIN.
I have worked for Kohl's for about seven years. I started as a part time stocker and have moved up 5 postions in this time. We have had alot of turnover, but Some people arevery good for retail and some are not. This company takes very good care of their employees and the customers. I'm from a minnesota store and the assocaites and customers come first. I think that a company that does do that is a very good company to work for. The managers are very good with the assocaites and the policy of "yes we can" is very good to the comsumer. I would have never thought that I would like retail but they say things happen for a reason. Thankyou Bryan for all your help.
KOHL'S likes to promote their incompotent associates to manager positions-Disgrunteled ex employee. Call and demand what you want people! "YES WE CAN" A post stated a lady wants Kohl's Cash for a $500 Gift card, Demand it create a scene and don't give in and it is yours. A manager just needs to turn a key on the register to overide. Forgot your Coupon? Demand 15, 20, or 30% even if the sale isn't going on, are your coupon is expired. it is kohls policy to create a no hassel invironment, so be loud-squeeky wheel get the greese. PLEASE DON'T BE RUDE! JUST LOUD! Anyone thinking of working for these fools, DON'T. I was fired a while back for not taking my lunch prior to the start of my 5Th hour. Funny you have 7min leighway when coming or going but dont clock in a min or two early and then a min or two late for lunch, you will get fired. One min is all it takes. But Wait my rant continues, not only was I fired but, Getting out late to lunch was not my fault, I asked for my breaks 30min or more before they were due, but I was relived late by the assocciate covering my shift or the E3 on duty. I worked in both Cust Service and in the Jewlery Dept. these two spots are a catch 22, can't leavve these areas unattended or your fired;nevertheless, you cant get your breaks on time so you still get fired. Always had above average reviews, and worked for Kohls just a few days shy of 5years............Wait a tick..........I see it now! They fire me just a day or so before my five years so I am not fully vested and the don't have to pay their contrabutions to my 401K? You know, I liked Kohl's a lot better before I wrote this! ....... not I hope that all their investments fail. curse you, you evil rotten scoundrals,,,,Curse you.
My complaint is about the Kohl's ad for President's Day. When my daughter asked to go to Kohl's on President's Day, I grabbed the ad and we headed out. I noticed that for every $50 spent I would get $10. As I shopped, I looked over the things I would come back for the next week. At the register I was just short of getting one extra $10 certificates. I asked if I could add to the order, and was told, "We are not giving out Kohl's Cash today. That ended yesterday." I checked the ad in the car, and sure enough---in the fine print it said Feb. 18, 19, and 20. BAD FORM! A President's Day Sale is a President's Day Sale. If the sale starts before the big day, that is fine. But to END the promotion on the date designated as a sale is disgraceful! Please do not mislead your customers.
