I purchased a 2007 Infinity on 5/20/11. I took it to Jiffy Lube 3 days later for a iol change and inspection sticker where I have been going for 11 years. I got the iol change and sticker with no problems (so the man who did the inspection said)until I went back to the same Jiffy Lube a year later for a new sticker. The emplyee at that time said he would have to fail me because my windows were tinted too dark!!! If they would have told me that last year I would have never purchased the vehicle, as this man told me it would cost several hundreds of dollars to have it removed because it was done proffessionaly. I will be calling the Attorney General and anyoneelse that will listen to me. So much for takeing care of a loyal customer!!! LOL.
Jiffy lube.voided my cvt warranty they have sorry services sob cvt fluid is not compatible to Nissen fluid
5/21/2012 I had the WORST experience with Jiffy Lube in Billerica,Mass. I had my oil changed and tires rotated last week. Over the weekend my 16 year old son was driving the car on the highway and the car started to sound different. I brought it to my mechanic this morning and they said that the lugnuts were loose and the back tires were ready to fall off. I went back to Jiffy Lube to tell them this, and the manager was the rudest person I have ever talked to. He said I should have brought it back there. Then, he said how can I prove they did it. I talked to the person working in the office and he remembered me and having my tires rotated. The manager said he couldn't do anything because he wasn;t there when it happened and I would have to call corporate. THE MANAGER IS VERY NASTY! THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE WAS HORRIBLE AND I WOULD NEVER GO THERE AGAIN AND WANT TO MAKE SURE OTHER PEOPLE KNOW HOW BAD THEY ARE. THE TIRES COULD HAVE FELL OFF AND THERE COULD HAVE BEEN A FATALITY. Mel S.
Works at Jiffylube for almost 12years , Not that good or bad .no body helps me for lowerbay
4100 South 1850 West SLC UT Location. Been going to this location for over 9 years never had a problem. Today, I drive in my 2011 VW Jetta and the mechanics gives me nothing but grief. Any PERSON that use to work there knows that, I know about cars... I know I'm a girl... And i know the ground I stand on... They were telling me my car changes the oils every 5000 miles in any manual, dealership, mechanic will tell you this cars can last in just daily commute drive 12000 miles with no problems, 10000 if theres bad weather or long distance traveling. You don't need to change, charge any other freaking parts the car is almost brand new... WHO ARE YOU KIDDING??? Try next door and then come talk to me again... When you ask to speak to a manager there's not one available, they all assistante managers and they all authority but none of them have the authority to take resposibility for what they are doing and saying or treating people like this? Great customer service that use to be 5 stars is now gone to HELL.
First off Im a contractor for EVERY insurance company in 20 states and have 600 drivers, I took my honda civic in for a routine oil change plus the whole 9 yards to cover the liquids....I went on a call after the oil change that was half hour away, half way back to where i left, the car was acting a little weird and the closer I got to jiffy lube the worse the sound got, I went up a hill and the car was violently knocking and half way up the hill the car died....I had one of my tow truck drivers bring me to the jiffy lube. I dropped the car and started the engine so that all of the employees could hear the noise, in my fury of f-bombs and obvious frustration all of the employees were laughing like it was some great joke, they all told me that they heard a noise when they serviced the car only 45 minutes prior and still where laughing. Then instantly jarred thorne who fixes up cars (he told me this later when we created a relationship as a possible mechanic and he wanted to buy the car for $500) Out of my ignorance and rage I didn't assess the situation thoroughly so I towed the car to my house and took jiffy lubes word that it was a prior part that was on its way out before I got the services. Now I'm not a mechanic on asian cars so I went and spent a couple thousand dollars for a car to keep me on the road because I have customers that I safely put back on the road every day 24/7.....a short time later I thought I'd just get the part that I thought it was and fix it because I've spent thousands of dollars and my time to have the civic sit. I opened the hood and was making an inspection on all the parts I thought it could be. Open the oil top and guess what.................NO OIL THAT WAS INSTALLED 45 MINUTES BEFORE THE CAR BROKE DOWN!!!!! K knowing that I work for every insurance company that covers 20 states and 600 drivers.....Guess all 600 drivers will never refer ANY customers that need service to Jiffy Lube.....These guys either put the filter on wrong or the release bolt was on wrong.....But the reason Im livid is they made a mockery of me and my company publicly and their first thought was "Oh it was making that sound before I came in! " BULL SHIT and Jarrod thorne instantly wanted to buy my car and he just happened to be a fixer up recently certified mechanic who now putting 2 and 2 together that this is a common crooked practice that they do because they get paid shit and he tried to buy a $3,000 car with a part that he knew he could fix cheap minus the labor cause he's a mechanic so that he could do me over and flip the car and collect his..........And if u look at all the ratings like this one and all the others....................JIFFY LUBE IS CROOKED AND I HOPE THEY FLOP Because I do service to at least 80 insured customers a day at any time of the day from Olympia to Everett and have never done someone wrong because my passion is to help people... This experience has been highly offensive to me because until now I referred road side customers to jiffy lube, Yeah right you would be STUPID to have them touch your car after reading this!!! W.T.F.

I came to jiffy lube and the guy says,"you have to go synthetic or it negates the warranty". I go home and call the dealer I;ve known for years and they say, it won't but we suggest synthetic. So I went back had it done. I left Jiffy Lube and the next day a puddle in my garage. I drove it back, engine light blink on , they looked at it with me. The radiator cap was loose. The Steering fluid was overfilled and leaking, the airfilter pipe was busted and hanging loose. A rubber bumper washer on the engine cover was missing. Sweeney said if I have it fixed the Jiffy Lube company would reimburse. When I came back with the car they said it would be two weeks. Ther wan't even a sorry. Now I'm wondering what recourse I have if nothing is done. I'm also wondering if the guys who did my car, Andre and friend, retaliated since I left at first and came back reluctant about the Synthetic. I wonder if they deliberately sabotaged the car. It's pretty strang isn't it?
I have been a Jiffy Lube customer for over 10 years. They currently service 4 of my vehicles, and I am a frequent buyer of their add-on maintenance services. I consider myself to be a valuable customer of the Newark, California, Jiffy Lube Store #2352. I recently had the oil changed in one of my vehicles (as well as having other services performed at the same time). Two days after the oil change, the car would not start. We towed the card to an Auto Repair location nearby, and they saw that the oil filter was loose and leaking oil onto the starter. As a reults, the starter. I understand that mistakes happen, but I expect people to take responsibility for their mistakes. I filed a claim with Jiffy Lube on April 14th, about two weeks ago, and have not heard a word from anyone....no call, no email, no letter....nothing. The new starter cost me $321 to replace. I don't expect Jiffy Lube to foot the entire bill, but I do believe they have some level of responsibility. I have revisited the local store and spoke to Randall, the Manager, on several occassions, yet I still have not had any response. I will not continue to do business with Jiffy Lube. They have lost a 10+ year, multi-vehicle, multi-service client over a claim that could have been settled for a couple hundred bucks (the same amount as an invoice that I recently paid for service on one of my cars at Jiffy Lube). Lesson learned for Jiffy Lube = It's not the fact that one of the technicians made a mistake, it's how the mistake was then handled by upper management that caused THIS customer to go elsewhere.
I drove my vehicle a 2006 Dodge Charger SRT8 which was in good condition. Never had a problem with my vehicle and that was until I went to get an oil change. After the oil change I was able to drive home which is about 7 miles from Jiffy Lube in Arlington, VA on Jackson St. The next morning I get up for work and I drive about 10 miles before I experience engine failure in the middle of the highway. I had my vehicle towed to the nearest car shop. What they discovered is that my engine was not getting oil possibly due to a faulty oil filter. Since everything else appeared to be working properly. I contacted Jiffy Lube and notified them of the problem and the immediately sent a tech out to look over the vehicle with the car shop to try and discover a cause. After a meeting and receiving information about the corporate office and who I should contact I left at the same time as the Jiffy Lube representative. The next day I contact the car shop and he explained that the service tech from Jiffy Lube "STOLE THE OIL FILTER". I contacted the corporate office as well as the local office and they both explain that taking the filter is part of their standard operating procedures. Which I might add they were unable to find this information in writing. So now I have been calling Dennis Shea who is the operations manager and ironically after giving me the run around all week. He has yet to return my calls. So now I have to file a police report for stolen property and prepare for a law suit against them. Stay away from Jiffy Lube and don’t bother calling their corporate office for help because they are rude and they are only going to send you right back to the place where you first received the run around in the first place. Well Jiffy Lube I have nothing but time on my side to seek Justice.
My wifes grandmother went into the Norman, OK (Almeda St.) JL to have an oil change because someone was holding a sign that said $10 off an oil change... She went into the JL and asked for $10 off oil change special... 30 minutes later this 82 year old grandmother was asked to pay $192.00 for a service... JL claimed that she needed all these new parts, which was changed that weekend by my ASE certified son... He didn't have time to do an oil change, so she took it in to JL... WOW what a deal huh, taking advantage of an old lady, thats how they do business... The car is an 2008 with only 31000 miles... All work was always done by the dealer until her husband passed... I contacted JL 3 times and each time they was going to call me back, OH BY THE WAY TRY CALLING THEIR HEADQUATERS CUSTOMER SERVICE LINE... 713-546-4100, THEY ANSWER AND PUT YOU ON HOLD... NO ONE EVER PICKS UP... WOW HOW CAN A COMPANY STAY IN BUSINESS THIS LONG WITH THIS KINDA SERVICE???????

i own a 1986 honda crx, the mileage was 110,949, all oringanal, and no prior problems with the vehical. I decieded to get the oil changed at a jiffy lube in the town i live in, apple valley ca. I was told i should probly flush the engine due to the age of my car. on top of paying for the oil change i had the pleasure of paying for an engine flush. i got this done on 02/03/12. on 2/15/12 i was taking my girlfriend out to dinner. the engine started making a funky noiise. afew seconds later the car made a loud clunk noise and began to smoke. the car threw a piston due to no oil in it. not only did i not get dinner , i had to sit in the cold rain wating for a tow truck due to the negligence of the jiffy lube employes. when the tow trck had arrived i got to talking to him, he mentioned that i was the third person that month that had gone to a jiffy lube and ended up sitting on tthe side of a road. i didnt think nothing of it untill i talk to the mechanic working on my car where he noticed that the engine had absolutly no oil in it. long story short i am ferious with the lack of service provided by the employes at this bissiness. i will be seekin repairs or legal action. thank you for reading
On January 25 2012, after work my son went to change oil and coolant in his 2004 Honda civic,to place called JIFFY LUBE in Richmond district in SAN FRANCISCO. they did service fast, but about 10-15 min later car got on fire, my son was able to drive from jiffy lube to 15th and Balboa when it started, ONLY 10 BLOCKS away FROM SHOP. he stop the car, run 1 block away and dial 911. the car was in perfect condition before the fire, with all the maintence done when it should be. cutting story short. car total loss, everything melted under the hood. the mechanic from insurance company, called us next day and sad that the car is not repearable. now the insurance company hired an investigator from fire department. Inspector from fire department told the insurance company, that the reason for the fire is oil overflow, investigation was DONE in one day. the main outcome , that my son stop the car on time and run away to be safe...What do you think, do they have to be punished for sluppy job? I CAN NOT EVEN THINK WHAT COULD HAPPENED, IF MY SON, START LOOKING UNDER THE HOOD INSTEAD OFF RUNNING AWAY.
Very disappointed! I have gone to Jiffy lube for years, but I think I need to change! I have gone in recently and was told the same thing that I have been told often (dumb girl) you need to have synthetic oil otherwise your warranty is voided! So I've been paying an exsessive amount of money for an oil change, usually around $70 to $80 for something the dealership would only charge no more than $30.00 per the dealership! Why did I trust jiffy lube???? Why didn't I call sooner? I feel jiffy lube owes me! Not only this, but I am experiencing a severe leakage of oil since my last oil change and all they can say is I don't know what is causing the leakage, going to another place tomorrow! I think somewhere other than jiffy lube and then charging them for the repair necessary due dibtheir incompetence! I would like for a manager/supervisor to contact me in this matter. Thank you, Tammy Hardy
I just had an experience this morning with the jiffy lube at 35 broadhollow rd in farmingdale ny,My daughter just had an oil change there 2200 miles ago, the altima has 33,000 miles, never a problem, oil was clear as crisco oil in the past when checked. Shw went to sell the car, I was there and the buyer started the car and stated engine did not sound right, he checked oil stick and oil did not register on the dip stick!!! He walked away from buying. I never use the car, I questioned my daughter and she stated the car sounded funny since the oil change at this jiffy lube. I had to put oil in before going back ther to complain, when I got there and explained what happened, Milton at the counter said I had an oil leak, which is nonsense because my daughter pars the same spot eveyday, and I recently had it inspected at a mechanic on a lift and he stated everything was good underneath. Milton then try to tell me its burning oil,car does not smoke at all and remember, it only has 33,000 miles. What a joke this company is! All I wanted was the burnt oil flushed and changed, he said he has to charge me, after arguing he knocked off 35%. I had to pay to get that bad burnt oil out of the engine. Beware of these places, lots of horror stories, and if you do, you better check the oil right after its done by these people, Also, the woman who had the tranny fluid changed? you never do that after alot of miles on the car, my good friend who is a aamco tranny tech, said that the metal grindings are what hold the clutches and bands together in the tranny, and when you flush it out,you strip the batter thats holding it together, they are very fine grindings of metal. And they all know this, thats how they make a sale, at our cost!
I went to Jiffy Lube to get an oil change because my garage was closed. Assumed they were trustworthy, while I was there they told me I should have my transmission flushed and new fluid put in. I agreed like anyone would if you maintain your car and are avoiding major car repairs. Later I was driving only to have my car make an awful noise and no longer drive. My transmission, clutches, differential are toast 4,000 worth of repairs. Why did this happen no to low fluid in the transmission. In fact they hadn't even put the stick back in it was resting on the battery. After no cooperation from the Beverly MA store manager I have been forced to hire an attorney. Stay away from Jiffy Lube!
Brought in a Volvo XC70 to Jiffy Lube @ 4106 Oceanside Blvd, Oceanside Ca for an oil change. The service guy informs me I really should also have my trans flushed. I agree on his recommendation to do the service. Less than one week (570 miles) later the trans service light comes on (which I had never seen before) and the vehicle starts hard shifting and allowing rpms to get to 3100 before moving from a stop (also something it hadn't ever done). I take it to the dealer and they tell me the wrong fluid was used, it was overfilled, and should be immediately re-flushed with the proper fluid. After this service the symptoms have not ceased and they determine it has sustained irreparable damage and needs to be replaced. I contacted manager “Mike” at JL , explain the situation and receive a call from the Regional Director in Los Angeles whose name is “Shafer”. Shafer claims they use their fluid (a low grade) with an additive to get it to “Volvo specs”. I spoke to another manager “Eric” of the other JL nearby @ 1970 Oceanside Blvd, Oceanside, Ca and he tells me he is aware that the trans oil they use IS NOT compatible with my Volvo, that they have a chart that shows what cars are compatible with their “house fluid”. In addition, he claims he has to go obtain the proper fluid from a 3rd party when customers come in with these “specialty vehicles”. He stated that they do not like to do this due to the cost they incur of $10-12/quart but at his shop will purchase a couple extra cases for future customers. On top of that, the Manager “Mike” of the location I went to was the person that informed “Eric” of this! When I informed Shafer of this fact HE CLAIMED ERIC DID NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT I WAS TALKING ABOUT. As if it is easy to misunderstand "proper volvo transmission fluid" ***The service manual states the vehicle should only receive Volvo AW5 automatic transmission fluid. Do not mix with other oils*** Quite simply, they offered to complete a service they were not qualified to do. They did not check the manual to verify the necessary fluid which is negligence and if they did and still used the wrong fluid is also negligence. If a business is not qualified to do a service, they should not offer it. I had an Audi at one time, asked the mechanic to do a trans flush and he referred me to the dealer because he was not qualified. If they had done this, my transmission would still be in proper working order. Due to their negligence, they have a financial and (should have) a moral obligation to repair this vehicle. They will be seeing me in court, that is, if they show up.
Had a terrible experience, took my volvo up there to change the oil and they messes up my turbo there was no oil in the filter and it caused it to malfunction, that's per my certified volvo mechanic, he stated that the filter was not changed as stated on the invoice, Jiffy Lube get it together you are losing customers, but i guess u dont care, based on the reviews more than 90% of your customers are dissatisfied with your service. We visted the location at 5398 N orange blossom trail in orlando, South Bay Lube. Prior to this we were fans. Bottom line i have called and left messages and no one has returned the calls. the cost for this oil change became $742.00 thats how much i paid to fix what jiffy lube messed up and i cant even get someone to return a call.. SHAME ON YOU!!!!!!
