Had a oil change done on my 2002 tahoe and the oil was 0w30 now my motor is knocking and the swear up and down the put 5w30 if the truck blows up i can say law suit here we come the oil cap even says 5w30

STAY AWAY FROM THIS Place is a RIP OFF...FAST TALKING...full of crap place I have Ever been to!!! STAY AWAY from here...save your money!!!! I went in with my daughter for an oil change. I drive a Volvo & a Toyota. The Asst. Manager who was the one talking to me about oil changes started right out of the chute trying to up sell the basic oil change. I said "I want a BASIC oil change". He continued on with the need to sell me an additive to my oil that was needed for european cars. As he continued I told him I wanted a "Basic" oil change. He told me how my the recommended oil for the Volvo was 5W40 which of course is WRONG. I checked my book after I got my car back, its 10W30 synthetic! He comes out when he had my daughters car on the rack and tells me how she needs to have 0W20 in her car, which again is completely inaccurate. When I am checking out the Asst. Mgr. says to me "Midway through your next oil change make sure to stop by so I can check your oil level"...I say ??"What?? why would I have to have you checkmy oil level midway between oil changes"? He says "just to make sure you have the right amounts". Ok so now I am worried and pissed! I got screwed by these slimey people and NOW have to worry about it I have the right amount of oil in my tank? So I ask the guy "did you short the amount of oil you're supposed to be putting in the car? He says NO we are have to put a certain amount in with the oil change". I say, I know what you are supposed to do, you were also SUPPOSED to do a basic oil change on my car".. He continue to argue his point on what was recommended. I said listen, my cars are always serviced at the dealership, are you telling me the dealerships are not putting what is recommended it the car"? Of course he said I needed to "check it out"!!! This company needs to be boycotted. My grand total for two oil changes at JIFFY LUBE $83.44 for the Toyota- oil change at Toyota dealership on Phillips hwy $29.70; $84.30 for the Volvo-oil change at O'Steen Volvo $69.95 with tire rotation, topping off fluids! Oh any BY the way...Both tickets say "Oil level prior to service 1/2 QT Low". I happened to have checked my oil BEFORE I went, and the oil levels were just fine. Now that my car has had a chance to cool, I am heading out to see if they shorted the amount of oil they added to the car.

You just have to read these reviews to see what a joke Jiffy Lube is. If you're lucky, they will just over charge you but if you're not lucky they will screw your vehicle up BIG TIME !!

My mother took her 2010 Hundai in to a basic oil change at the Jiffy Lube Seminole Blvd, Seminole FL. They charged her $39.99 for the oil change and $49.99 for an AC filter they claimed was moldy and dirty. This car is barely a year old...why would the filter be bad? When she showed me the invoice I called and was told by Jason that she agreed to have the filter changed after they showed her the dirty one. When I asked to come and get the filter I was told it had been discarded and could not be retreived. Really, 15 minutes after the service was done they can't find the old filter. What they did was take advantage of 77 year old woman by showing her some other old filter they had in the shop and claimed it was hers. She will no longer be a Jiffy RIP OFF Lube customer.

They do really great service at the Bensalem, PA location but my biggest concern is that they're not allowed to wear gloves, hats, etc. working in the cold. I honestly think that's a shame. I mean, how can you expect them to work properly if they're not comfortable? I really think that the corporate office should start changing their rules or they will start losing a lot of employees.

On 1/14/12, I went to Jiffy Lube #129 located on 5518 St. Barnabas Rd, Oxon Hill, MD for their signature service, light bulb change, and power purge coolant service. As I was paying for my service, the front desk woman informed me that there was a noise coming from my engine prior to service per my invoice. I asked if the noise ceased after the oil change. She spoke with the mechanic who informed her that my "lifters" had to be adjusted as it previously had sludge on it prior to an engine flush last year 2011. I had the woman write on my invoice exactly what I would need to let my personal mechanic know. When I left, I notice that they didn't change the blown lights, so I returned to Jiffy Lube. The mechanic who worked on my truck stated that he didn't know I needed the light bulb changed. A minute later, his co-worker came out and instructed him to change the bulb. The mechanic said to the co-worker "I didn't see where it said to change the bulb." The co-worker replied "you must have overlooked it because you were so focused on flushing the radiator." As I approached my house, my oil light came on! I knew that maybe it was a malfunction of the light which I was going to let my personal mechanic take care of when I returned from my trip to VA. After packing a few things, I left for VA; oil light still coming on/off. My truck began making a louder ticking noise, but I assumed it was because of what the woman at Jiffy Lube said regarding my "lifters needing adjustment." I called Jiffy Lube at about 4:30pm and inquired if maybe the mechanic, who was so focused on my radiator, could have forgot to put oil in my truck as he did when forgetting to change the light bulb. The male on the phone told me under no circumstances would I have made it so far without oil in my truck. I don't know about cars, so I left it alone. I called him right back a second time and asked that is it possible, since he wasn't the one who worked on my car, that the mechanic forgot to add the oil. Again, he informed me that there isn't any way I would have made it as far as I did without oil and recommended that I try to find another Jiffy Lube in the area. I informed him that I don't know of one and my car is make loud ticking noises and I'm afraid to move it. He said that I needed to find a Jiffy Lube or a services station to purchase oil. I told him that they just gave me an oil change and how would oil leak from my truck so quick without any evidence of oil on the ground. He explained that I may have had an internal leak where the oil burns off of the gaskets and will not be visible externally. So I attempted to drive VERY slow on the shoulder with my hazards on in search of the next exit. As I approached exit 98 off of I-95, my truck began to elicit a VERY loud banging sound, then it sounded and felt like something exploded under my hood which caused a lot of smoke and my car inoperable. I thought my car was on fire, so I turned off the ignition and quickly exited my car. When road-side assistance arrived, they notice metal pieces under my car and said they were pieces of my engine. They showed me the large whole in the drivers side engine, near the bottom. I had to have my truck towed which cost me $191 dollars, and left without a vehicle. I am furious at the negligence of Jiffy Lube and will be looking for a replacement engine for my truck. If no resolution is reached, I will be suing Jiffy Lube for the cost of my tow and a new engine!!

What does it take to be a jiffy lube technician? Knowledge of 2+2. 2nd grade reading level, and able to overcharge people and take forever to do anything. I took my car into jiffy lube for a safety and emissions and they took 58 minutes. Rele it's a brand new car. The moron wouldn't shut up and get off his phone. Midas and corner shops have way better service and way better employees. Next time I'll drive to florida for service before I deal with a jiffy lube.

I took my vehicle to Jiffy Lube my $30 oil change ended up being $60 with all of the other things they claimed was wrong with my vehicle. A few days later my vehicle ran hot in the middle of the highway. After having to pay for a tow and service at the dealership. The dealership nor the Sheriff that helped me on the side of the highway could not find my radiator cap on the ground or under the hood. A $30 oil change cost me $200 in the long run.

My wife selected a Jiffy Lube for a basic oil change service today. In addition to the oil change, she was subjected to pressure sales tactics to replace her serpentine belt. The technician told her “Please come out here and see this MAJOR, MAJOR problem with your car” “You won’t make it out of the parking lot with your current belt” and strongly suggested she replace it immediately. Five separate people participated in this pressure tactic by surrounding her while three of the men chimed in with strong suggestions of immediate need and urgency. Though the price was not completely unreasonable ($65), the need was not only not an emergency as it was represented to be, it was not even critical as I had inspected the belt only days prior while performing other services without notifying my wife. She attempted to contact me at the time of the pressure sales tactics but was not able to reach me. Being completely ignorant of automotive knowledge and very intimidated by the onslaught of men attempting to scare her, she reluctantly agreed due to the directly stated emergency nature of the issue. Several hours later, I was informed of the interaction. This type of practice is not only predatory and unethical, but in this age of widely distributed and easily accessible corporate review information, it can be extremely destructive to a company’s reputation and potential for repeat business. The belt was in fact worn, but was in no way a danger to the operation of the vehicle. The pressure scare tactic of warning her she “wouldn’t make it out of the parking lot” is disgraceful and indicates to myself and the hundreds of employees and friends I am in regular contact with in this area, that Jiffy Lube does not run an honest, reputable, or trustworthy business. This is not the first incidence of this shop preying upon young unaccompanied Asian females with this type of high-pressure scare tactic. Others from her university have relayed similar stories after she met with them later in the afternoon. Had she spoken to them earlier, she would never have patronized this establishment, or any other Jiffy Lube. I am well aware of and agree with attempts at “up selling” to increase profits, but not when it is based upon scare tactics and intimidation applied to obviously vulnerable and defenseless targets. I am now respectfully requesting a full refund for this service ($85.98), and formal reprimand for all employees involved with this transaction (i.e. Termination) as a first step in this process.

Jiffy lube in white city Oregon has a very poor manager with hostile demeanor all because he was upset.with. me asking for a 13.00 refund do to a sign on crater lake hwy advertising 2499 .they overcharged me..reading other reviews this is common ..

I took my car to Jiffy Lube in Fallon Nevada. When I entered the car was put on the rack and service started before I was told the pricing. When I went through the offers I elected a $55 dollar service. As he started to ring it up he has a thought and says, "oh we just ran out of that oil. the next nearest priced service is 79 dollars. I am astounded but too nice at that point to tell them to take my car out of the bay. (Stupid on my part/.) I com, plained about the Bait and Switch) of that policy. I continued to complain and the manager was called over. Despite being surley he agreed to charge the lesser price. But first he had to check something on the car. After I had pulled out and gone a mile or so down the road I noteced the lights in the car were not functioning. Not a safety haazard but an annoyance. What a strange coincidence right. I would not advise service at that store and after reading the list of complaints on this site (The only means to complain to Corporate headquarters) I think I will look for another service provider then Jiffy Lube.

My husband had his work van serviced at Jiffy Lube 8013 Ritchie hwy in Pasadena, md on 12/28/2011. Unfortunately left his wallet in van. One of the Jiffy Lube workers took his wallet. Police were called made a report. They have security cameras and the mgr was supposed to look at last night. However as of 10.32am today he hasnt yet? Wonder why? Did he see someone he didnt want to see taking wallet? I am sure money is gone but would you please get wallet back with all IDs. Please. Dont trust Jiffy Lube because they have THIEFS working for them

I took my 2006 Dodge Ram diesel to Jiffy Lube in Miami Florida. I told the tech that I have all the fluids and filter plus one qt of additive, also that the engine takes 12qt of oil, so I advise him to put one qt of additive and 11qt of oil. I also spoke with the manager. I over herd an more experience technician advising the thecnician that was working on my vehicle that he needs to put in 11qt of oil and the additive. Well they put 13qt of oil witch was more than what was necessary, and he did drain some. That was taking care of. How ever they proceded to top off my coolant fluid and when I asked them what kind of coolant they are using they tol me that they are using multi car coolant. I asked the manager what was the type of the coolant: HOAT, OAT, DEX-COOL. He was not able to tel me and keep telling me that the coolant that he is using is a multi-car coolant and is fine be cause they are using it an any carrr from VW to Chevrolett. Well after calling corporate I still can't get an answer so now I was forced to go to the dealer and pay to get my cooling system flushed out. Horrible experience NOT ALL THE COOLANTS ARE CREATED EQUAL, HOAT AND DEX-COOL SHOULD NOT BE MIX. Diesel engine takes a different grade coolant, is a hi temp coolant. So multi-car coolant will not do. Also there is a litigation case againdt DEX-COOL because premature failure of the engine components. Do not let any one top off your fluids if they can't tell you what they are using. Or you my get stuck down the road with a hefty repair bill. You have to keep your self informed, if you don't know anything a bout cars use the Internet and find the right information. All the technical stuff is broken down on the Internet and any one can protect his investment by doing a 15min research.

I am a local buysiness man in Yuba City ca. Your owner operator of the jiffy lube on bridge street, along with some of his cohearts decided to intimidate a very good friend and his wife after one of the emplyess struck the womans car with his trailer, the husband got out of the car to ask for the drivers insurance info at which time the threats began, one of the men rushed the window of the car and made an agressive move toward the woman, this was being observed by a local deputy who finally managed to come to their aid only to be told he was not need because the local police were on the scene, the conduct of the owner was unprofessional and threatening toard the husband as he was threatened by the owner/operator. You have lst my business which amounted to seven different vehicles along with all of the others that will certainly not do any business with jiffy lube again.

Worst ever!! Waited 1.5 hours with only THREE people in front of me for basic service. First, when paying out the tech had not entered the inspection request correctlly and the ticket was messed up, we would have to start over. The Inspection machine broken and no one informed me for 45 minutes and my car was never inspected. Ron Rasmussin was rude, discoutious and blamed the bad service on the State; he never informed me or the other customer waiting that he could not do inspections. I had wasted almost an hour waiting without anyone telling me there was a computer problem. I will not use Jiffy Lube again this one managed by Ron Rasmussin particularlly. Now the phone has been on hold for 30 minutes; what kind of customer service do you have? Any? There is to much compitition to treat people badly! To bad because I had been using that shop for 13 years; no more.

Dear Jiffy Lube, I went into your service center in Kinnelon, NJ. when Keith pulled my inner cabin air filter out w/his hand underneath the filter, he put three holes in it. I was told a new filter would cost $40. I said no, told him there were three holes in it and that they were not there before. I cleaned the old one out w/a toothbrush, went to the bathroom and washed the filter. I put the filter back in the car. I complained to the manger and was told that it must have been my fault and would not replace the cabin air filter. I feel very strongly that I was taken advantage of and would like the filter replaced. Now it is a matter of principle that I send you this email. A gentleman from Meadowbrook at (973) 345-5191 called and followed up. I was told I would buy a new filter and they would install it for free. This is not acceptable. I would think to not satisfy would not be good business sense. This was not the case. I will not use Jiffy Lube again. I will let everyone I know what happened. My invoice number was 7707 on 12/3/11. If you need a copy I can send it to you. Good day. Renee Russo-Nader (973) 248-6208

I am a Jiffy Lube customer for several years and today the customer sevice experience that I had at the store 3205 located in Tampa was not pleasant. I was supposed to print a coupon but I didn't, when I asked the manager for $5.00 dollars discount, he told me that he didn't have any coupon, so I told him that I was willing to go home and print one, after that he decided to give me $5.00 dollars discount but the manager told me that he is paying for my discount out of his pocket.

This was my first time bring an expensive car a 1993 Mercedes Benz 300E at Jiffy Lube # 41 located on 216 Eastway Dr. Charlotte NC 28213 704-598-0452. This is my situation on 11/28/11 I looked on the internet to see specials for an oil change not just any oil change but the signature special. I called the Jiffy Lube to see if they changed the oil of a Mercedes Benz they said yes! So I took the chance an risk my engine in their care. It was a rainy day and the service guys stated that they placed all the following fluids in the car an added extra. A couple of days later I thought it would be best to check under the hood of my car only to find out that the car began to steam because the air filter and the fuse box was lift open. Damage was caused, also a little reminder once your finish with the Jiffy Lube service and they hand you a pink slip check it over because at the bottom of the paper there is a service comments box were they note down what your car needs Please be advise to know that your service was never complete and they are covering their tracks. This will probably cost me more money than I intended to pay. I will never and I mean never go to a Jiffy Lube again!!!
