Jiffy Lube on Fairview in Boise poured windshield washer fluid on my battery and starter cables, shorting out the starter. The shop manager tried to 're-wire' the starter cables and got the vehicle started and it ultimately died at my workplace. It was towed and the starter had to be replaced for $202.00 and three days of waiting while driving a rental car, gas for rental, and cost of tow. Total expense for the initial $41.00 oil change came to $473.00. Amazing how guys who just need to change the oil can kill a fully functional vehicle in 20 fleeting minutes! I have a call into the regional manager after I dropped off the bill to the store manager so that I can find an address to serve "Lance" the Regional manager... in order to sue him unless he reimburses me for his staff's 'SERVICE'. NEVER AGAIN!
Watch out for the synthetic oil change they will rip!!!!!! you off. I expected to pay around $50.00 but ended getting overcharged $94.19 for the Kendall syn oil for my Lexus ES 350 on Washington Ave. in Colton, CA
They advertise one thing and charge you extra for things they did't even do.They were to busy playing to get their work done. It's a wonder they stay open.
I have used Jiffy Lube several times and have always recieved good service. That said I sent my 19 year old, 5'9",blond haired, blue eyed daughter ther to get her oil and transmission fluid changed. She was told that her Trans fluid didnt need changed (it has not been changed in ver 100,000 miles) that she needed high millage oil( at an extra charge)and she needed a fuel filter ( that I changed a month ago). They charged her $49.99, I have called all over town and the most expensive fuel filter I found was $11.99,so the way I see it they charged her $28.00 to conect 2 hose clamps. when my wife called to see why they charged her so much she actualy talked to the ops manager and was called a lier. I took the phone and hung it up. then drove there to talk to him face to face, I waited for 10 to 15 minuets in the waiting room and he never came in. I went to leave deciding to take it to corperate and all of a sudden he wanted to talk. I left after telling him I didnt apreciate him calling my wife a lier. The ops manager told me he didnt like her calling his workers liers. He must live, eat, and sleep with them to know them that well. I cant tell you where this was because I am trying to resolve this the right way but if I dont get satisfied look for more from the father of a cute blond.
To whom it may concern, I was at your location on 2nd st in El Cajon California on 10-30-2010. While I was getting my oil changed, one of your employees was washing oil and transmission fluid from the inside of the garage with a water hose into your parking lot which flows straight into the storm drain inlet, it was raining at the time, and I witnessed it going into the storm drain... I took many photos of the situation. In my occupation I am very aware of the storm water pollution laws and regulations. I am very disturbed about what that is doing to the environment. I am going to consult an attorney about this situation, Sincerely, Robert Raver theravehitit@yahoo.com
Jiffy Lube store 1339 in Aliso Viejo I will never take any of my cars or recommend your store to anyone else. I took my husband's Volvo there and they put on the wrong oil filter. Then when he was driving over a speed bump, the oil filter sheered off and ruined the engine. This manager came and saw the damage and claimed it was caused by us even though the filter he had his workers put on was over 4 inches too long and didn't even match or cross reference the vin number for that car. When Mike finally decided to fix the car, he sent it to his mechanic for over 4 weeks. We had a mechanic that could give us a rebuilt engine for less and in a week but Jiffy Lube refused. They still have not fixed our car and now Mike refuses to pay for the rental car that we have had to get. When I call over to this store they say that Mike is not in or he will be in tomorrow. We are stuck with a rental car bill that keeps growing, my husband's car is not fixed, and know one seems to care about customer service. We will take Jiffy Lube to court if this is not resolved soon.
I have used Jiffy Lube many times, at the location 130 E. 2nd St, Edmond OK (405)340-6802 and until now was very happy. I have a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado pickup, that I've taken to this location before. Now, the "manager" came out and specifically told me that Chevrolet had sent notice to them that they now want only synthetic oil in their vehicles. Synthetic oil is considerably more expensive, $90.00 is rediculous. I advised this individual that I wanted the regular oil change only and I would contact Chevrolet. I did contact Chevrolet, and they advised that NO notice was ever sent out, and it would NOT have been sent to oil change locations. Anything involving their vehicles, notices would be sent directly to the vehicle owners, and their dealerships, ONLY. Thus, I can only come to the conclusion I was deliberately lied to just for the almighty dollar. Chevrolet also advised that changing to synthetic oil would ruin my engine, that the only time synthetic oil should be used is if the vehicle left the factory with it. No one should ever just change to synthetic oil, it will cause major damages. With this information, sounds like this individual is placing Jiffy Lube in a very liable position, get ready for some lawsuits.
Hello, My name is Kalin Hatfield. I just wanted to drop a quick line into Corporate regarding store 1339. I have NEVER had a bad experience there in my life, (I actually have written an email like this before), but today there were a new group of guys who did NOT disappoint. The person that took care of me was named Romero, and the store Manager was Mike Smith. As I have indicated before; the guys that work there go above and beyond in their graciousness. Always "please & thank you", and never let you leave without saying "good-bye" a second time. I'm sure corporate is aware of this, but most of them have tattoo's and "look" a certain way. I love that these guys are able to break any stereotypes that might be associated with guys needing a second chance if life. Even if Im not in my town, I will always make it a point (if needed) to go to a Jiffy Lube!!! Mr Kalin Hatfield 949-633-2946 Aliso Viejo, CA
Beware of Vacuming if you keep anything under your seat. I was leaving town and stopped to get my oil changed...they have you leave your car and go to a waiting area while they do their work. I had everything done. The service was good!! BUT...when I went to use my GPS later in the day it was gone and I had just put the case under the front seat that morning. The manager said he would notify corporate, no call back, then corporate wanted a police report, I filed it, no call back, the manager seemed frustrated with a person named "julie" at the corporate office who doesn't seem to care that a customer either got ripped off or the item was taken out or moved while vacuming and not put back. Whatever the case I'm out a GPS and this company does not care. Not even the courtesy of a phone call At least they didn't get the power cord...I kept that in a different place.
Watch out for the scam! I was in the Jiffy Lube to get a quick oil change. Not only was it anything other than quick, I was a part of a scam. The service guy came to show me that my air filter needed to be changed. I said go ahead and then I watched them put the old one back in. When it was time to pay I saw the guy charged me for it, when I asked about it the service guy said "oh, we didn't have your filter in stock". I said "then you should have told me that and you need to take it off my bill" He took it off but I was still upset. I wrote the company about the ordeal and never heard back from them!
My Car was in your Royal Palm Beach store for an oil change and coolant service. The service rept. explain to my son that other work was needed. In the mean time a service person change the oil filter in the 2006 S-type Jaguar and broke the filter case which no longer close properly. The car was taken to Palm Beach Motor cars Jaguar service, the service attendent inform me that the top of the oil filter case was broker by the persons who was going to change the oil. I inform Jaguar service the car was just at Jiffy Lube of Royal Palm Beach. The service attendent inform me to take the old part back to Jiffy Lube and show the manager what had happen. I went into your Royal Palm Beach store on Tuesday July 20th, and spoke with the service manager, he made some phone calls and came back and offered me half of the repairs in gift cards. This is not acceptable I had to pay out of my pocket $332.75, not encluling labor for the repair of a mastake by your company. Put yourselfe in my place would you want half of what you paid for a repair that was not your fault in gift cards? I would think not. I am trying to resolve this matter with out going to court, but if it comes down to it this is what we would have to do along with court costs.
I took my car in for a oil change dec 27, today it left me stranded on the interstate. I call a tow company, they check the oil and said it was dry. they put 5 quarts in but the engine is shot. I had no oil leak. the car engine was clean and underneath was clean. it had not been smoking or any thing. I called jiffy lube and they went and checked it and said it was over filled, about 2 quarts. My car only holds 4 quarts. so if they over filled it with 5 quarts if my math is correct that means the car only had about 1 quarts in it so what happen to the other3. My car had no leaks and it had never smoke at all. I think just didnt fill it. The gentleman who i spoke with {james} said that if my car was only 1 quart low that the dip stick would not have any oil on it. Thats crazy. They aren't going to fix my car. I am very upset. I don't have money to just throw away. dont go to fiffy lube people. Cynthia Berrane.
