I guess I can consider myself luckythat I never took my car in for service, I got so frustrated at my local Jiffy Lube store (Vernon, CT) and then with the corporate office. I have been on hold waiting for the corporate office to pick up the phone for more than 45 minutes, and that was after waiting 25 minutes but got cut off. So, I called the local Firestone dealer (in Vernon, CT) and they are going to do my oil change for 19.99 with a 10.00 coupon. I got excellent customer service from Chris at Firestone in Vernon, CT. I have decided that I will continue to type while they keep me waiting/holding on the phone. Jiffy Lube treats its customers like they are not important. It is crystal clear why they are no longer the leader in oil change industry. I can remember when they were the only name anyone knew for oil changes. I sometime go to Economy in Manchester, CT to get my oil changed, they do a good job and they have wonderful technicians who know what they are doing. Just in case anyone is wondering, I am still waiting. I can not imagine what so many people would be calling Jiffy Lube Corporate about on a Friday, maybe it is all the other people complainiing. I have now been holding over and hour. Well, Jiffy Lube, I am going to disconnect from this call and from you as a customer. I am sorry you don't care about your customers and that you will never again be a leader in the industry until you learn that without us (the customer) there is no you (corporate).

Here is my story and I hope it protects your vehicle. I went to the following Jiffy Lube: Store Manager is Steve; Jiffy Lube® Service Center #3085 130 S STEPHANIE ST HENDERSON , NV 89012-5556 US 702-564-3188 I figured I was in the area and I needed my oil changed and I normally hear nothing but good things about them but I think that's because not enough people come out and talk about what has gone bad. I had my oil changed on 6/18/11 and the staff member explained everything they had checked with the oil change "special" they were running. As well as telling me that do to the age of my van I should really use the high mileage oil instead of what I normally used. Little did I know until I was on my way to a church picnic when my van's engine seized do to NO OIL in my car that they were really the one's saving money by NOT putting oil back in my van and now they are avoiding at any cost taking any blame to this so I now have to pay out over $600.00 to get my van fixed ! ! It was the first and the LAST time I will ever use a Jiffy Lube ! ! !

I went in to have my oil changed and they forgot to put oil in the vehicle causing it to destroy the engine and they will not pay to repair I took my 98 Chevy Malibu into the Jiffy Lube located at 757 West North Temple, Salt Lake City Utah on Sunday July 17th 2011, Invoice # 11071700045699 for an oil change. When I went to pick up my car that afternoon, on my way home the car died. It appears that they forgot to put oil in the car after they drained it. And the engine was destroyed. They provided a rental car on Wednesday the 20th and they kept the car to see what they could do. Monday the 25th they called and said that to repair the engine it would cost $2,700 but they only value the car at $1,650 Which is what they stated "fair blue book". They asked if I accepted this offer and when I told them no they told me that I needed to return the rental vehicle. My vehicle only has 109,000 miles and ran perfectly, the interior and exterior are in excellent condition, no mechanical issues and everything works perfect. I contacted Ben the district Manager and he stated the fair value was $1,650 and even stated the average value is $2,225. I purchased this vehicle for $3,500 and this past year have paid over $1,000 for the front end to be repaired and purchased new tires. The NADA retail value is $4,200.00. So here I am 2 months later and still fighting them, I have sent Corporte letter and emails (no response. So today is the day I discover how small claims court works. Liffy Lube is not the only place to go to get the oil changed, but I would do it myself before ever let them touch a vehicle of mine!

I went to jiffy lube Store # 3310 Address 4144 West Spring Creek Pkwy Plano TX, to have my state inspection done on my car. They failed my car because I had an emmision problem. I spent 80 dollars to get The Problem they said my car had fixed at a Different Mechanics Shop. they test my car Before I leave the Mechanics Shop and all was well, I returned to jiff lube and let them know I just leave the mechanic shop and all was well also before I go back to JIFF LUBE I stop and let a another Inspection shop and have them run my car and all was well I told them my situation at the next Inspectiom shop so they did not charge me again so I now took it back to JIFF LUBE and they run the test again and say my car fail again for the same problem so I was upset and I leave and take my car to another shop and all went well but this time I have to pay a $40 bucks and I already pay JIFF LUBE $40 am so upset I will never go to this shop again and because I always have a problem at this shop the last time I took my jeep here sometime last year and they run the test on it like 6 times and it did not pass I have to take it else where and all went well but i take my car back here because I think everyone deservese a second chance but look what keep happing. when I call the store to speak to the MOD Todd he was been very Rude to me that he only have a few minuntes to talk with me and that maybe the next place doing something Ilegally not even say that he was sorry I will never never ever go back to this shop again I will make sure all my Friend and Family know about this as well

I would give a zero, do not use Jiffy Lube, go to a dealer or anyone else. I had my oil changed, they took out my air filter and asked if I wanted it changed I said no. The filter was put in wrong according to Nissan dealer. I was out of town on a weekend, and a sensor shut my engine off. I walked a couple miles in a rain storm got a tow truck took to the closest dealer. I went to the shop the manager claimed to not have serviced the vehicle, no record of service. I have used Jiffy Lube for years. My costs were 130 in towing, over 311.72 to rent a car, and 127.50 to fix the filter, clean sensor. I then received a reminder in the email from Jiffy Lube which discussed my need for servicing the truck. The phone representative told me to go to small claims court, they would not consider settling. Yes this is Jiffy Lube service for you, or should I say their dishonesty and lack of customer service.

Unless my problem with my vehicle is corrected, at this time I do not have anything good to say about this company. My recommendation, is to take your vehicle to your dealership or a trusted qualified mechanic for service.

I took my vehicle to Jiffy Lube located at 301 Baltimore, Laurel, MD on July 30, 2011 for the first time. I had an Army knife in my door pocket which was a retirement gift when I retired from the military. An employee stole my knife after having my oil changed. ONe of two employees got in my vehicle, the one that drove it in the bay and the one that vacuumed my vehicle out. I called the police and file a police report. This Army knife has much sentimental value and I want it back. It is a shame that a first time customer of Jiffy Lube and a soldier of the United States military forces had my Army knife/Retirement gift stolen by a Jiffy Lube thief.

I want everyone to know that store #1229 in Fairhaven ,Ma is one of the rudest stores that i stepped in. I was greeted as "Dude" and as "Bud. What is this all about? Am I still in the sixties. They don't care about customer service I guess. These guys who work at this store need to have a long course on customer service. when they get there act together and professional face on, Maybe i will go back! but for now "for get about it".

1st experience was a simple oil change. Got home and next day noticed oil leak on garage floor. Took car back and they said there was oil left of the skid plate. They cleaned it and no problem. 2nd experience went in for next oil change. Told manager about previous experience and to be sure and clean skid plate. Upon leaving he said it was done! Next day, oil on garage floor. Returned and they said there was oil and skid plate and they cleaned it. Next day oil again on garage floor. Didn't go back. Took it somewhere else and Jiffy Lube had stripped the drain plug and that is where the leakage was coming from. NOW HOW INEFFICIENT IS ALL OF THIS FOR A SIMPLE OIL CHANGE.

This was the BEST experience I have had at Jiffy Lube. I went in and got a signature oil change and they took care of my car, I was IN/OUT. store# 3168 This is the sotre I will be going to from now on. The reason I am saying this is because my bad experience in Albquerque at a Jiffy Lube on Menaul before Juan Tabo, they forgot to top of fuilds after I checked and had to make another trip back to get that done. Thank you Store 3168

Basically what happened to me, other than literally ALWAYS being told I need an additional service of a few hundred dollars more for this and that when I take in my car for an oil change, this last experience was the last straw. I am a 25 yr old female and I cringe every time I have to go in for an Oil Change because they tell me I need all these things done and of course I have no clue so usually I say, thanks but no thanks just an oil change for now. A few days ago I took in my car for an oil change, and they told me that I had an oil leak. They also told me that since I had this "leak" I would need to start bringing in my car at least once a month now instead of every 3,000 miles. Well..Jiffy Lube is the only place I've ever taken my car so if it has a leak I'm thinking they may have a part in this but I give them the benefit of the doubt. That same day they tell me I need a fuel cleaning or some kind, my windshield wiper fluid also is leaking and won't work so I will need to replace that, my air conditioner will need more freon/be replaced which will be around $130. My dad used to work on cars so I drove to his house that weekend to let him look at it. When I parked my car at work that day just over 8 hours and walked out when I was leaving, there was a MASSIVE oil puddle on the ground which had never been there before. After my dad looked over my car he sees that the reason it is leaking so terribly is that they had stripped the oil drain plug. The car wasn't even safe to drive a few hundred miles and had leaked out almost all the oil they just filled in just two days. Also, the reason my windshield wiper box was not working was because it had been unplugged from the hose. Are they really saying trained mechanics at Jiffy Lube can't see something like that but my dad can??? I think they unplugged it on purpose so I would have to replace it. Also, my dipstick was broken off at the top.. I have never changed my oil anywhere else so I know it had to have been broken on one of my visits there and they just never said anything about it. I am livid at this situation. They told me I would have to pay between $300 and $600 to fix my oil leak and my dad fixed it in 20 minutes with a $5 part and they are the ones who caused this damage. With the rest of the "preventative work" they told me I needed in total would be around $1,000 in repairs. Ridiculous.

Today, July 19, 2011 I went to JL (bird Rd. & 67 Ave) Miami, FL to have my battery checked because this morning my car wouldn't start. My husband had to give it some charge to start it up, and I am very satisfied with the service that I received. He check my car and to my surpise he informed me that the battery has been replaced with a brand new battery, no questions asked and no additional fees. The employees at this Jiffy Lube (store #1176) are always helpful and friendly and customer service is a plus. I am one very happy customer!!!

Horrible,Horrible customer service.Been using this store for yrs.,but they have lost me forever.

I went against my better judgemet and took my car to Jiffy Lube. Prior to that my car NEVER leaked oil. Now it does....Its not a matter of the lug being loose because I checked that. I'm not sure what they did, but when I brought my car back in all I got was double talk and denials.......so if i can offer any advice----DON'T GO THERE.

NOT THAT JIFFY LUBE’S CORPORATE OFFICE WILL DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT!!!! I took my car in to the Jiffy Lube on Hempstead Turnpike in NY and was told I needed a new filter for me 2005 Cobalt. Yes! I did need a new one for sure. I was told that is little filter would cost me $89.99 but the guy told me since I was getting a oil change too that he would only charge me $50.00. I didn't know any better at that time. So I said Yes, later I did some research on the web. And man was I pissed to find out that the 2005 Cobalt filter only cost in the range of $12.00 to $20.00 with shipping and handling elsewhere. I will never shop at any Jiffy Lube again. I even have a $10.00 coupon and was still way over charged and ripped off. But like I said earlier, Jiffy Lube's Corporate office won't do jack about their customers being taken to the bank. As long as they get to line their pockets. Great Customer Service guys!!!!!

I am 51 years old and have been working on my own vehicles including a Harley for about 35 years..yes i had a motorbike at age 16,i was trying to change my own oil this time after the last service by jiffy lube..the oil drain plug was so tight that i had to put about 200PSI on it to try to get it off..i still couldn't and was in danger of stripping the head of the bolt, i called Christler..and was told yes i was using the correct socket..a 13 mill 12 point on it,..so i took it back to jiffy lube and the mechanic used a hammer to POUND a 13 mill box end wrench 6 point onto the head of the bolt..i have never ever had to pound a wrench onto a none damaged bolt head..and i asked him to reseat the bolt at about 5 to 9 pounds per square inch..when i got home i STILL had to use excessive force to get it loose.. now part of the bolt head is rounded and or damaged..after reading some of these horror stories and knowing what i know about mechanical work i will never ever take my service to jiffy Lube again and will advise all the persons that i do mechanical work on their cars to also not go there..ty

I was at the Jiffy Lube on 14704 North Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard, scottsdale,AZ, 85260 today 06/04/11. I stopped in to get my oil changed on my 2006 corvette z06 and since I was supplying the oil and filter myself, Jiffy Lube was the cheapest place to just have it thrown in. After arriving I ask one of the workers if he knew how much oil it took because I could not remember if it was 7 or 8.....he told me it took 5 quarts. So i looked it up for him and showed him that the car needs 8 quarts of oil. A few minutes later I asked the man if he knew that the car has a dry sump oil system and that it had 2 plugs, "Oh yeah yeah, i know that, but you only have to drain one of them" ...my jaw pretty much hit the floor...so again I begin explaining to him that he is wrong, and that both plugs need to be drained to get all the oil out of the oil lines and the pan. At this point I was very skeptical about having them do any work on my car but I decided once it was my turn I could just tell the mechanic what he needed to do. I then watch the guy try to open the hood of the car....and couldnt do it...he struggled for about a minute until I ran over and showed him that it is a reverse open hood. At this point I just needed to get the hell out of there, so I tell him I changed my mind and I needed to go at which point he insisted that he had to be the one to back the car out because of liabilities, fair enough, I then watch him press "off" "accessory" "off" "accessory" and finally tell me to give him my keys because the car wouldnt start....he was holding the keys....after teaching him how to start the car I made up my mind that Jiffy Lube is the worst excuse for a car shop I have ever seen....not only did they not know how much oil to put in...how to properly drain the oil...or how to open the damn hood...BUT THEY COULDNT EVEN START THE CAR?!?!?!?! fail.

Service at Jiffy Lube on 55 near 54, in Durham, NC is Really Poor!! I suggest avoiding Jiffy Lube on Rt. 55 near Rt. 54. They’re not what they used to be. I brought a new truck there. The manager was tallish with a goatee with some gray hair. I asked if they would be careful to leave the interior clean. He indignantly said, “We’ll do our best.” He wasn’t reassuring of that one thing--it should’ve been my cue to leave but I needed the service. My “finished” truck had oil everywhere. I called him over, showed him oil spots and he wiped them down, saying it was fine (rudely) and left. I called him back 5 times! He was unapologetic about messing up my truck, acted like oil was nothing—as if it was on me to clean up after a $60 oil change, and got nastier each time I called him back. He made comments like “I don’t know what condition it was in when it got here”, trying to blame the filth on me and said something similar when I pointed out motor oil on my steering wheel; “Yeah, ok I oiled up my wheel just before coming here.” Give me a break! The clincher, when it looked cleaned up after 10 minutes of this, because the boss had no iniative, I got in, grabbed my gearshift and got oil all over my palm. They should get rid of that guy—at $60 a pop, I’ll have Hendrick do it instead and get a free car wash in the deal! I complained about my situation and ill treatment to Jiffy Lube corporate, the regional office, and the mother company--Shell Oil. They are completely apathetic. Basically I was told to deal with the owners of the specific shop, Lucor Corp? Luxor Corp? Something like that. A week after my initial call all I got was "We're sorry about how you were treated; want some coupons?" The franchise doesn't really care what their franchisees do and in this case the franchise owner was worthless. With their "we don't care" attitude it's no surprise the shop manager at the Durham Rt. 55 shop didn't care that his people left oil all over the interior of my truck. If you luck out with a good shop, fine, if not, no one cares.

I was stranded with a flat tire on southbound US23 near exit 70 in Michigan. Awaiting road service, a good Samaritan named Conley stopped and changed our tire since I have health issues that prevented me from do it myself. He refused my cash offer and said the best I could do is report it the the Jiffy Lube corporate office. thanks Conley!!
