No to 2 phones, No rental
I have been a Costumer of Enterprise for over 40 years. When I tried to rent a car (through my insurance company) I was told by the Chatsworth (CA) office, " if you do not have 2 phone numbers, we will not rent you a car" (sic). The question is. How many people in 2013 have 2 phones, unless you have money to burn?
Scammed
I reserved a car online for 4 days at a cost of $166.00. When I arrived at the airport to pick up my compact car, the salesperson barraged me with option after option until I was dizzy. I'm a senior citizen not too savvy about these kinds of things. By the time she was done with me, my bill was over $500. I was so befuddled by all of the urgency she presented that I felt totally scammed afterward. I won't ever use or recommend Enterprise.
TUCKER GA
I have rented from Enterprise forever but this last rental will be my last ever with them. Long story short, they charge you for things you didnt approve of then the reps want to talk to you as if you are beneath them. threatning me will never make me do anything. if you can go somewhere else but never enterprise
HORRIBLE
Terrible business ethics. Customer Service sucks! My husbands information was given for a $135 citation for a vehicle he did not rent in a city he was not in. I have made numerous calls to get this corrected. Very unprofessional staff in the Baton Rouge, Louisiana location. They keep telling me they will call me back. I will be reporting this to the better business bureau. I rate them with -stars.
Need for business traveller expedited service
I have recently begun to utilize Enterprise for business related rental services. While I quickly moved up the in "status" queue it didn't expedite the service that I received when picking up my rental car. I contacted customer service and they explained that unfortunately there is no business traveller service stratification. If you're in a hurry on a business trip Enterprise will not help you to get to your car quickly!
excellent
I recently rented a car at the Washington Street, West Orange, NJ office. In this day of poor to mediocre customer service, the team there was excellent. From the driver who picked me up and dropped me back home, to the customer service reps who processed the paper work, they found just the right car and was polite and friendly. Great team work!
terrible service
customer beware reservations do not mean nothing in Gaylord Michigan. worst service I've ever had will not use enterprise again buyer beware they say each agent will help you and make the problem right this a just made the problem right and then cancel the reservations buyer beware please go somewhere else..
Charleston Christmas
My flight was delayed and I arrived in Charleston Christmas day night after 11:30 thinking the office would be closed and I would be stuck. Instead I found the office open and stffed by an outstanding employee named Steven King who advised me that he had stayed late on Christmas because he knew passengers/customers would be arriving late. I asked if this was company polcy and he told me that he was the company and wanted to do the best for his customers! Truly an outstanding employee- I will always remember him saving what was left of my vacation and will always rent from Enterprise

On 12-13 enterprise called me to find out when I needed the car. I said 12/17 at 7:30am at collision center. On 12/17 3 calls were made and told car on the way. It arrived at 8:30 which made me l hour late for work. Had to take the driver back to enterprise which only took 6 minutes from collision to enterprise. The car was smelly and seats were stained. I could not take my sister anywhere that week because there was no trunk for me to put wheel chair. When I took car back on the 22nd I could not get my deposit until 3 days later. When I received a call to inquire about the service, I complained about the size of car and was told the insurance of person that hit me paid for small car. I am sure that was not the only small car they had after all they knew almost a week prior what I would need. I had unlimited mileage available but it was so smelly and dirty In 6 days I only put 32 miles, that is how bad it was. I thought you shoud know

Great Service
I rented a car from your Philadelphia Airport office more in November 2011 to visit my folks in Maryland and celebrate Thanksgiving. During that visit, I was backing out of my dad’s driveway and the car had an unfortunate encounter with a mailbox. The mailbox was totaled. The car was relatively unscathed but the taillight and bulbs were damaged beyond repair. Having waived optional insurance for such damages, I tried to repair the vehicle but did not have time to order the part and replace it. So when I turned the car in, I presented the estimate for the repair (approx. $200) and one of your friendly staff accepted a check for that amount, stating they would repair the car and contact me if any issues arose. I promptly forgot about the whole affair. Today, more than a year later, I received a call from a friendly man named Josh with Enterprise Philadelphia. Turns out the repairs to the vehicle were about $30 less than what I had paid when dropping off the vehicle. Josh was seeking my current address so he could mail me a check. What a pleasant surprise. This sort of thing never happens to me; I’m always forking over money for unanticipated costs and fees. Thirty bucks is pretty small potatoes I admit, but its real money and I truly appreciate the gesture more than the dough. Thank you for your excellent customer service and attention to detail.
CUSTOMER SERVICE
VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE IN PHILLY OFFICE ON FRONT STREET , ALSO NO ONE EVER CALLED TO QUESTION ME LIKE THEY SAID THEY WOULD . HORRIBLE SERVICE .
Worst Rental Car Company Ever
Enterprise has the worst rental policy out of all the other rental car companies! Did you know that each location can set there own rental rates? Did you know that each manager has the right to approve or decline a price match, not corporate? Did you know that the turn around time for a return call is 3-5 business days? Did you know that the call center representatives can make the decision to forward a customer's call to a supervisors or the corporate office? Is this considered good customer service? Is this a company you should rent from ever?
Hurricane Sandy
I rented a car from the Cranbury, NJ location 36 hours after the storm, and when I returned the vehicle at Scotch Plains, NJ five days later, I was informed that the car suffered Hail damage and that I was to be held responsible. Note that I have gathered meterological evidence that demonstrates no Hail occured on the dates and locations that I drove the vehicle. However, Cranbury, NJ did in fact experience Hail on Oct. 29 during the storm. Enterprise claims I am responsible for the damage because I signed off stating I inspected the car before renting it; however, I was only able to perform a cursory inspection because it was dark and the car was covered with leaf debris and plant twigs from the storm. Moreover, this supposed Hail damage consisted of a single pin-prick indentation on the hood, which I could only see at a distance of six inches. I am now told that the "damage" extends to other parts of the car and I am to be held responsible for both the damage (approximately $1200) and "loss of use" for a week's time (they have not yet provided a dollar figure for that). I think it's obvious what is going on here. Neither the Cranbury office manager nor the Regional Manager that I spoke to is willing to do the right thing, despite having the situation explained to them and being offered meterological proof that what they are accusing me of could not possibly have happened.
Hurricane Sandy
I have been renting monthly from Enterprice and I was planning to renew on Friday. I called them and they said they want the car back! I said don't I have any priority to renew it and you told me I could, and they said, sorry, supply and demand. When I said how much would you charge me to continue, they said 50% more then before. I said, isn't that taking advantage and they said, its supply and demand!
Be mindful of the type of car you reserve!!!!. I reserved a mid-size car and was charged accordingly. HOWEVER.....when I picked the car up, it was seemingly a COMPAC car. I had made reservations 3 weeks prior, but when I got there a Compac was all they had and I was told that was a mid-size car. I had no choice but to use the car due to the time and the only car available. When I returned the car to let them know my dissatisfaction of using the Compac car instead of getting a mid-size car, they said I had reserved a intermediate mid-size car. I knew nothing about an intermediate mid-size vs. a mid-size. It was never explained the difference between the two at time of me making reservations. The rates are different for each size. With all that said, I realized that I was still charged for a mid-size car. AND on top of all that, the car had an expired inspection sticker. Their answer was "Oh, sometimes our cars fall through the cracks"!! Yeah, my life could have fallen through the cracks driving an unsafe car!!. Never again will I rent from Enterprise. Obviously, safety is not a priority for their customers!!!!!
had to pay for a windshield!!!
My wife Rented a car-from enterprise an undocumented crack started spreading while on the highway--there was a crack on the other side of the care window that was noted--well the undocumented one spread--guess who pays? Us. Oh well have 15 family members and parents that own a business and rent regularly-8640-Yellowhead trail. I have rented numerous times in Mexico and never had an experience that compares. We wont be anymore--just more corporate failure to take responsibility for their equipment---companies with with corporate suicide policies like this will follow all the others of the same ilk. I have numerous websites that will get this post. Have a great day-quite enjoyed my trip until the phone call-now I get to pay for their damaged windshield-will never rent here again--I gues it is time to stop taking pictures when I rent in Mexico and start doing it in Canada--never at enterprise again! sincerely, James Dodd & Corrine Maciuba
This is the worst customer service I have ever seen. I filed a complaint on Sept. 11, 2012. My complaint was given a reference number and I also had the 800 number to call them back on. 2 weeks later no one called me. I called back again, and had to repeat everything I had told them the first time. I was told someone would get back with me right a way, which never happened. That was 3 weeks ago.
I have always used Enterprise in the past when I have had to rent a car, but I will never rent a car from this company ever again after my most recent visit. Me and my boyfriend rented a car to go on vacation for several days. We returned the car the next morning after we got back. The car had not been returned for longer than 2 hours and my boyfriend realized that he had left my laptop in the back seat of the car. When he realized his mistake he immediately went there to get it. When he got there he told the woman at the counter what had happened and she said that nothing had been turned in and that he could look in the car if he wanted. Well he did look in the car and my laptop was no where to be found. Come to find out, the car had not left the lot while my laptop was in it. Therefore who ever cleaned the car or went in the car for any reason took my laptop and did not care to turn it in so that I could get it back. I realize the laptop is gone and there is nothing I can do about it considering their policy is if you leave anything in the car that they are not responsible for it. But on the same hand, that policy does not state that if you do happen to leave any personal items in the vehicle that it is ok for their employees to take it. That is not at all acceptable and it shows very poor customer service. I will never give my business to this company. They have lost several customers due to this incident, and I am sure I am not the first nor the last to have this happen to them regarding Enterprise. At least tell your customers that if they forget anything in the car that it will become their property and they will take it for themselves. Furthermore when my boyfriend did go to retrieve my laptop, he informed me that they acted very nonchalant about it. Way to show customers that you care.
We will never rent from Enterprise again. We are currently being charged for damage to a vehicle we rented in Chicago. In Chicago the Enterprise office is in a public garage. When you drop it off after hours you either take it to their lot, on their side of the garage, or you park it in the public garage and drop of your keys in their drop box. Don't ever do this on a Saturday night! When we asked to come by on Sunday to close up our account we were told they were too busy and were told to come back on Monday - we were leaving on Monday. A week later I get a call that we are responsible for some damage on the passenger side of the car. We have since been contacted by their claims department requesting payment for damage we never did and they have yet to show us the damage they are blaming us for. Has it occurred to them the damage could have happened while the car was left unattended for 24 hours in a public garage? w e will never, ever rent from them again. I wish there was less that one star to rate them with...
