Regarding the Wilkes-Barre PA location...if there was less than a 1 star rating this location would get it. We got to the restaurant approx 1130AM on Sunday, 5/20/12. It was fairly busy though we did not have to wait for a table. Here is where the nightmare begins...we waited for 10 minutes for someone to take our drink order(2 waters)& it was not even our waitress. Once our waitress saw us being waited on by a colleague she came over to take our food order. We ordered 2 "build your own pancakes" meals. As we waited for our food other customers came in, placed their orders, and got their food...one table of 3 people actually ordered, ate, & left while we waited (they even ordered an appetizer). AT NO POINT DID OUR WAITRESS NOR ANY OTHER EMPLOYEE COME TO TELL US WHAT THE HOLD UP WAS. It was 1210PM still no food, still no conversation with ANY staff so we walked out.

Had breakfast at Andover MN Denny's, what a joke. servers were fighting with each other, manager was hiding took forever. never again!!!!!!!!!!

am a regular costumer at this dennys in north hollywood ca the crossing streets are burbank blv and lankershim blv .i usually go night time, like around eleven pm sometimes after twelve, to get dinner after i get out of work , the servers are really nice but this wednsday was a lil different for me sice i'm used to be served by jose who's an exelent server, well the service was ok ,and while i was eating i overheard a conversation from the servers talkin about jose being fired or suspended it was a shockin news for me i really think he is a good server always smiling ,very attentive,fast,and always runnin around working hard,and i thought , why get rid of someone that makes people feel like home ,i know dennys might have rules or some but he really used to make me and my friends feel comfortable at that restaurant ,and i think he deserves more from the company if what i heard is true ...:(

I love Denny's and we have one here in Kingman,Az...i"m 65 and have seen a lot of Denny's both inside and as passing by. I just got through listening to Chris Matthews on NBC politics news on TV and his parting comment was pretty derogatory to Denny's I would expect your Company to not let this one get past you...just that I've not recently seen a guy of his stature make such a statement about a Restaurant business big or small in my life!!!

I will never go to another Denny's Restaurant!!!!!! I have been to 4 of them but the one in New Philadelphia, OH is the WORST without a doubt. There really isn't anything positive I can say. On the negative side: 1. FILTHY.....I am going to call the Health Department and make a report. 2. Service was terrible in all areas.....it was an absolute disgrace. Would have left but no where else was opened at 11:00 at night. This occurred on May, 13, 2012. I wish there was a rating below "Poor".

on mothers day i used a online coupon free double choc pancake puppies sundae. i gave the manager it and was not taken off my invoice. this was at 2474 sunrise blvd, rancho cordova ca restaurant 7378. i charged this was $18.34 shrimp dinner was popcorn shrimp was dried out. my wife did not like it. manager did not care less. seniors are a factor they go out more offen.and spent money. whats the matter with the manager?

My niece recently took her daughters for dinner at dennys,just a few minutes ago,and she was very upset that the waitress and staff were using racial slurs black people infront of my nieces(who by the way are mixed black and white...my niece was very offended and probably will never go there again..your restuarants used to be so family oriented and in my time as a waitress i would have never said anything to a customer that might upset them....why would they speak rude like that in front of children..I think they owe my nieces an apology,though im sure they will never get that...offended by the mouths of the staff.

I'm writing about the Denny's in garland tx the one off 635/northwest hwy first want to start off by saying this place is a joke the manager especially (ASHLEY) I would think the managers would be more helpful and believe in team work instead her servers are running the restaurant while she sits on her fat ass and text and most likely on fb she also has way to personal conversations with her workers and even customers I heard her talk about all kinds of stuff that I don't want to hear while eating she just doesn't care if the phone is ringing or paying customers are waiting to pay at the front she won't get up please fire her she sucks I've also been in their once while she had her kids there okay I'm sorry but ur working and why are you kids their with you the 2 boys ran around the restaurant and hitting each other and being very loud pretty much acting like animals with no damn training maybe she should work on her parenting skills I also had the pleasure of hearing her talk about her crazy weekends of doing pills and cocaine someone needs to fire that dirty lazy ass and call cps and I think I might be the one to do that to she needs a reality check SOON.".................oh btw the servers are great maybe one of them should take her management position :)

Let me just say I was a General Manager for Denny's for 20+years in Ft Lauderdale Fl,moved to Washington state. I know this does not mean much to you however a six time president club,developed several unit and General managers! And we worked hard but at the end of the day guest service was the name of the game at Dennys. I know you must think I am realy old but NO>>> I began at the age of 20 .I for one am very upset you received this service,or bad food or in a dirty unit.But I do promise you we have great Denny's how ever attidute reflect management.Denny's corp.When I took over a Unit in Ferndale,Wa we were doing 12,000 to 13,000 a week a year later 35,000 to 40,000 Beating corp store in Bellingham ,6 time's president's club.How staff trained the old Denny's way,as we use to say FOOD,Service,Sanitation.Which also mean making your servers fill at home just as you do you guests.Help your cooks when they need it,clean those bathrooms if the (06) is to busy.I guess what I am saying (TRAIN THOSE MANAGERS HOLD THEM ACCOUNTABLE).OR MAYBE BAG A FEW SIGNS HOLD THOSE FRANCHISE ACCOUNTABLE AFTER ALL THEY ARE ACCOUNTABLE TO THAT LOGO ALSO. NEED HELP SEND ME IN UNDERCOVER FOR A WEEK , LET'S MAKE MONEY AGAIN AND HAVE HAPPY GUESTS.

Driving through Glen Carbon, Illinois while on vacation and was thrilled to find a Denny's restaurant. Used to eat there all the time when in California and where I live now we don't have a Denny's. Only waited 10 minutes to be seated so that wasn't bad but once we did get seated, our waitress took our order and we sat there waiting while new people came and went...it took an hour to get our food and then the order was messed up. The manager took one of the meals off and said "sorry"...that was it! That is ridiculous to wait an entire hour! The cashier's attitude was "Oh well". Very irritating and will not ever eat there again!

I worked at Denny's in Cattletsburg KY. for 5 weeks. One of the store managers has picked on me,and downed me in front of guests,and done everything in the world she could do to get me to quit,but I wouldn't.It has went so far as to Forging EPR's on me,and when I try to get my copies of them,they put it off,tomorrow,tomorrow tomorrow...then finally they told me they don't have to give them to me,and banned me from the property.I'm a Minority,Native American,and she acts like I'm just not right because I'm not white.Now I'd hate to believe that,but Thats the only explaination I can come up with.She contradicts herself all the time,she repeats herself over and over,forgetting what she said in the first place.She has told me to do things,and when I do it,She gets all on me for nothing.I couldn't do my job there at all,because I had her messing me up all the time.She has been spiteful and childish and there was no sense in treating me the way she had.So,I'm contacting my lawyers,and getting a subpena for the EPR's and especially the one that was forged and made up.My signiture is not even on it,it's hers I do believe and I never got a copy of that.I've only gotten 1 of them.The others,I'm not even so sure of.I'm filing discrimination against her,and I will be calling this office,and making sure I'm not pushed around by her...this is ridiculous and she needs to be more professional about her work.It's a team there,and we help one another,If I needed help,she would get mad and jump down my throat,and be condescending to me for no reason,I was simply trying to do my job.

THE ONLY IHOP IS ON KENNEDY BOULEVARD AND 3 ST IN UNIONS CITY NJ. HAVE OPENED ALL THESE NEW BUSINESS IN A SHORT TIME.. YOU CAN ALSO CHECK.. NEAR TOWNSHIPS.. WEST NEW YORK, UNION CITY, WEEHAWKEN.. BUT THERE IS MORE SPACE AND HARD WORKING PEOPLE SPEND MORE MONEY THAT THE WEALTHY IN THESE TYPES OF RESTAURANTS.. I MISS DENNYS..IN FLORIDA WE HAD DOZENS ALL OVER...!! SEND YOUR HEAD HUNTERS AND LOOK FOR LAND..I KNOW YOU CAN FIND. IT.. IF YOU DO COME..WHY NOT GIVING MY FAMILY AND I 6 MONTHS GIFT CARDS AS A THANK YOU :)

Every Sat. my husband orders 3 breakfasts to go, at the VanBuren Denny's in Riverside CA. If an item is NOT on your menu, WHY can't he be told? Instead of the usual poached eggs, I decided to have a Western omelette, or, as it's called back East, a Denver omelette. I know it consists of ham, not precooked onions & peppers. Don't recall if cheese is included. That's how long it's been since I had one! This yucky omelette had nothing but smoked ham, (which I abhor) and overcooked caramelized onions. It was gross! The eggs are ALWAYS overcooked to the point of not being able to cut with a fork! If I can't cut eggs without a knife, I won't eat them! Another take-out order was supposed to be a cheeseburger, which he was charged extra for, of course, except when he got home, there was NO cheese, and I NEVER eat plain burgers! WHY can't people pay attention? I used to eat IN that same Denny's quite often, but not so much anymore. I won't tolerate lousy food, or not get what I ordered! Why can't you serve THOMAS' English Muffins? Your Denny's brand tastes disgusting, and your coffee USED to be SO good, but since you changed that brand, I bring my own decaf tea bags with me now! It's SO strong & bitter! And since when have you switched to smoked bacon? That's nasty too! The old brand was fine! I love a good BLT once in a while. Was SO happy to see rye bread back! Don't know WHY you stopped serving that! Tuna would be a good thing to bring back, WITHOUT relish! Just enough mayo to hold it together, celery & onion , with just a tad lemon juice. HOW can a diner type restaurant NOT have tuna? Or egg salad? And back East, no decent place served burgers or sandwiches without a great DILL pickle! Those nasty little round circle pickles suck! Only good thing about Denny's now, are the waitresses & one waiter, when I do eat there. I know them all, and they're very nice & attentive. Have known most of them for years, and even give them Christmas gifts every year! Very disappointed that Ann, the manager was transferred! EVERYBODY loved Ann! One last thing I almost forgot; shredded lettuce sucks too! It gets all over the place, gets stuck in your teeth, and doesn't belong on a sandwich or burger! Bring back the leaves, so we get that crunch without the mess! Shredded letuce only belongs on tacos! I get those at Del Taco! P.S. Javi is the only cook that knows how to cook eggs, without rubberizing them!

My husband is a World War II veteran and is in a wheelchair. Several times we have gone to Dennys Restaurant in Placerville and asked to be seated at a table that he can remain in his wheelchair. This Dennys has an area through the main dining room that has tables that are accessible for him. It was empty and we asked to go back there, and they said that area was closed. We left and went someplace else. The manager as well as the waitresses are unfriendly. Our van has a ramp we must put down when we park and there is just one parking place that works for that. A different time we tried to eat there, parked a long ways from the entrance and noticed as we passed by that parking place, a car without a handicap card or license was parked there. We were greeted by the manager and told him about that, and he said a very good customer who was elderly always parked there. BY CONTRAST WE JUST RETURNED FROM DENNYS IN CAMERON PARK, CA. AND THERE IS NO COMPARISON TO THE TREATMENT WE RECEIVE THERE. THEIR MANAGER GOES BEYOND THE CALL OF DUTY, AS WELL AS THE WAITRESSES TO MAKE OUR VISIT PLEASANT. THEY DESERVE A BIG KUDOS. EVEN THO WE HAVE TO DRIVE 9 MILES, THAT IS WHERE WE WILL GO.

Hello, to whomever is in charge, I am applaud by the constant bad service from the dennys in Barstow, California. Yet again I ordered the talapia dinner and yet to get what I asked and paid for. Being a driver, I am on a tight schedule and order my food prior to fueling so it will be ready by the time I have to leave; however, I don't get what I ask for. Yes, I should check my food; but usually I have to go in a hurry and when I do get the time eat it, it's not what I expect. The dinner comes with rice pilaf, bread vegetables (cooked). I don't mind carrots,broccoli, or spinach. My veggies tonight are raw celery, raw carrots and cucumbers. Did I mention no dressing to even dip them in. Come on! I really would love to submit a picture of my Saturday dinner; but it's not possible through this Very disappointed, Ms. T. Billy

We had a very BAD experience at your establishment in Palm Springs Florida. When we went to pay our check our waiter demanded us to fill out our receipt for the tip before he would even run our card. I think that is very poor Customer Service that they ask us to make sure to leave a tip. This should be left up to the customer and how their service was NOT the wait staff. We will NEVER visit that location AGAIN.

I was at the Denny's in Oak Brook for breakfast with my family. My daughter ordered bacon, toast and eggs. The waitress brought 2 orders of bacon and toast. I asked her where the eggs were and she told me that my daughter did NOT order eggs. I said, yes she did. So the waitress hands me a dirty soup bowl and told me to put the 2 pieces of bacon on and she would give me the eggs. I said you want me to put this bacon in a dirty bowl? and she said yes because since it was already at the table they now had to throw it out. I said, well just let her eat it then. The waitress said she could eat it, but that she would charge us for it. I told her that was crazy to take perfectly good food back and throw it away when someone could eat it. It was an honest mistake of the waitress to not hear my daughter, but I thought this reasoning was just insane. When the manager came over he insisted on holding firm to his rule that no one eats ANYTHING for free. I said we're not trying to scam anyone, but I think that's a crazy rule. It turned into a big issue and ruined my Sunday breakfast with my family. I will never eat at a Denny's restaurant again. I think it was crazy to have a manager that isn't able or capable of making an executive decision instead of allowing this to escalade into the argument it became. Perhaps that's the major downside to a franchised owned business rather than a family owned business who do understand and appreciate that the customer is always right. Especially over a $1.00 order of bacon. Look around in the world and see how sad it is to see people starving and you're throwing out food JUST to make a point. Good for you, Denny's, yet another customer gone.

Today I was eating breakfast at a Denny's restaraunt in Houston on Wilcrest. While I was using the restroom and urinating in a urinal, a man brought a little girl into the bathroom. My genitalia was fully exposed and the little girl had a front sized view. I immediately covered myself and in the process got urine on my pants. When I went to speak to the manager or duty, Rene Hernandez, he ignored my complaint and said that it was allowed. I asked to speak to his supervisor and he at first refused to give me his supervisor's name. The other crew members at the Denny's made fun of my dismay at a little girl being allowed into a male restroom. I demanded to speak to the manager's supervisor and she refused to speak with me on the phone. I asked for the manager's supervisor's name, and he wrote an illgegible name on a piece of paper. The manager's supervisor's last name is Jimenez. The workers at this particular Denny's was all hispanic and the offending patron was hispanic as well. One of the crew workers told me to mind my own business. To bring a little girl into a men's room while there are men in there performing urination and to expose a little girl to a man's genitalia is disgusting and obscene and mose obscene was the reaction of the staff at this particular Dennys. Your corporation should be ashamed of this type of behavior from its workers and most importantly from management. The refusal of Ms. Jimenez's refusal to speak with me, and the casual attitude of the manager and indeed of the entire staff at this particular place is despicable. To tolerate a policy that allows little girls into a men's room where a child can view men while their genitalia is exposed is a sexual crime against a child and an invasion of privacy of the men involved in the process of relieving themselves.

Ate this morning at the Dennys on Camp Bowie in Fort Worth Texas. One of the waitresses had no business being at work she had such a cold. She wasn't covering her mouth with her hand as she coughed and I witnessed her coughing directly on f fresh food coming out of the kitchen. I plan to notify the Texas Dept of Health and the Fort Worth Health Dept. Besides this, the service at this restaurant is slow, they never have the products they advertised. I have played the corporate game before with other restaurants, they call the local owner who A)never calls back or B) if they do call back they promise to make changes that are never made. It would sure seem to me all the millions you spend on advertising across this country, you would at least spend some money making sure your local franchise owners were well supplied with your products and the wait staff was well trained and HEALTHY. For Gods sake, if you are sick STAY AT HOME. The Mgr on duty should have recognized this and sent the waitress HOME.!

Kissimmee Fl If it was possible it would be minus four stars. Both my son and I were off work today and that doesnt happen to often anymore so I wanted to take him out to lunch today. We decided on Denny's as it was always pretty good food (guess things do change quickly). He had ordered the double cheese burger,fries and tea and I ordered the chicken parmesan and tea. It wasnt busy in there at all so it was real quiet...maybe 4 tables including us (should have been a hint). We received our food and the waitress asked if I wanted some parmesan cheese with my meal. I said yes and off she went. She must have forgotten me as about 5 minutes later she asked the cook if he had any parmesan cheese back there with him and he said no, he asked her if she had any up there with her and she said no so he went to get some from the cooler. She the returned to the table with a small cup of shredded parmesan cheese. I put it on my food and with the FIRST bite I tasted something BAD. I spit it out, looked at my plate and it was my cheese ...GREEN. well I didint have to pay for my food that I COULDNT eat but had to pay for my sons...IT should have been free as I was given BAD food.
