My boyfriend an I recently went to a Denny's in Colorado Springs, Colorado. After waiting a while just for water and lemonade we were told that the Waiter had to make some more but at least it would be fresh (15min later we got it). We then placed our order, 45min later I asked (I guess it was asst mgr) about our order and was askedto have patience regardless that other people were eating that arrived after us. Found out that our waiter forgot to place our order! Our order was then placed to the head of the line. When we received it (I ordered a breakfast skillet) vege's were raw and my boyfriends food was totally wrong. Needless to say this was not a very good dining experience.
It does not matter to you higher-ups how the customers really feel, how the service is, or even how the food is. All that does matter is the money you people get while the restaurant workers absolutely kill themselves with long hard hours, and very little pay. (More for your pockets!!) If I were you people I would take a long look at what you are offering your employees and live off of that wage for a week. You would also have to work 12 hour shifts!!! You would not do this for you know it would be to hard. Have some decency and give the workers raises and bonuses again. So glad I am not you with no concern for the people who work the hardest. It must suck to live like you do, thinking you are above all others.
the canon city colorado restaurant is really bad. there is no way i would ever tell anyone to go to that restaurant at all. the manger is rude, uncaring about his staff, and the people that come into the restaurant. i have never seen a manger treat a staff like this man treats his own staff. he should be fired. boyd canterbury
All Denny's customers need to realize that when you are at a Denny's you should ask whether it is corporate owned, or franchise owned. Franchise owners do not neccessarily follow the standards set by Denny's corporate office. If you feel that you are not getting proper service, and/or the restaurant is a mess, you are likely in a franchise owned restaurant. Denny's corporate will take your complaint calls and do their best to get the management and franchise owner to make amends and 'clean up their act,' however, if the store is owned by someone then they aren't beholden to Denny's to manage it better. That is a shame for Denny's brand because there are too many private owners that use the recognized name for their business benefit without doing their part to maintain a good brand image. I know this as a former employee of Denny's corporate office. They are a great group of people, who unfortunately get the brunt of the bad press caused by negligent franchise owners
DENNY'S PHOENIX, AZ PROFILES PEOPLE OF COLOR AND SEGREGATE! MY FAMILY AND I (ASIAN and POLYNESIAN AMERICANS)WENT TO WEST DUNLAP DENNY'S IN PHOENIX, AZ (NEXT TO THE CRESCENT SHERATON) ON AUGUST 7, 2010 FROM APPROX 7:54PM-11:10PM. THERE WERE 17 OF US AND ONLY 4 CUSTOMERS WERE IN THE RESTAURANT, YET WE WERE PUT IN A COMPLETELY SEPARATE ROOM. IT TOOK 1 HOUR AND 10 MINS BEFORE OUR ORDERS WERE TAKEN IT TOOK 1 HOUR AND 5 MINS FROM THEN BEFORE OUR DRINKS ARRIVED AFTER I SPOKE TO THEM WHERE ARE OUR DRINKS IT TOOK 2 HRS AND 15 MINS UNTIL ALL OF US GOT OUR FOOD; HOWEVER, 5 SUBORDERS ORDERS WERE MISSING. THE PLACE WAS NOT CROWED THE ENTIRE TIME. OTHERS IN THE MAIN ROOM WAS SERVED BEFORE US, WHEN I FIRST ASKED IF WE CAN HAVE OUR DRINKS AFTER WAITING FOR AN 1HR, THE FEMALE WAITRESS GAVE US AN ATTITUDE. DONNIE, OUR WAITER WAS OKAY, BUT IT WAS THE MANAGEMENT AND COOK THAT SEEMED TO NOT WANT TO HELP US. I WOULD LIKE A DISCUSSION BETWEEN CORPORATE DENNYS AND WEST DUNLAP PHOENIX, AZ DENNYS ABOUT THIS UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR AND SERVICE, AN APOLOGY, AND A FOLLOW UP LETTER HOW THIS WILL NOT HAPPEN TO OTHER FAMILIES OF COLOR. THANK YOU.
DENNYS ON SOUTH TENTH STREET IS NOT THE GREATEST. THERES ROCHES ON THE RESTROOM FLOOR, THE CELLING HAS ALOT OF LEAKS FROM THE AIR CONDITIONS. IT RELLY SUCKS. THE G.M SCREAMS AT THE EMPLOYEES. THATS NOT COOL. THE EMPLOYEES USE ALOT OF PROFANITY. THIS MESSEAGE SHOULD BE READ AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. THANK YOU
Hi, Service at Denny's Restaurant, 5280 Mowry Ave, Fremont CA. We went to above Denny's for brunch on Saturday 14th of August 2010 around 11:50 am. We waited 40 minutes after ordering to find out our order was not placed with the cooks. The waiter said the cooks were at fault and the manager Shazia said the order machine did not forward our order to the cooks. We left in disgust. We went to Dino's in Fremont and got great service. Disgusted Customer, Dave
Denny's sucks! I stopped going there long time ago.
I WAS IN DENNY'S IN PASO ROBLES,CA. TO START, I JUST WANT TO SAY THAT THE SMELL THAT I GOT WHEN I FIRST WALKED IN WAS NOT PLEASANT. AS I WAS WALKING TO WHERE WE WERE TO BE SEATED, I NOTICED CHAIRS IN THE CENTER WERE RIPPED AND THE TABLES WERE WIPED DOWN BUT NOT CLEAN AT ALL. WHEN I SAT DOWN TO EAT, THE BOOTH THAT I WAS AT APPARENTLY IS A VERY POPULAR ONE BECAUSE THE SEATS WERE SO SUNK IN THAT I WAS SITTING KIND OF LOPSIDED AND VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. OUR SERVER WAS BUSY SO A LADY, NOT IN IN UNIFORM (SO I ASSUME SHE WAS A MANAGER) CAME TO ASK WHAT WE WANTED TO DRINK. SHE WAS VERY UNPROFFESIONALLY DRESSED IF SHE WAS. WE ORDERED AND THE FOOD WAS OVER COOKED. WHEN I SENT IT BACK...THEY FORGOT TO BRING ME MY FRIES SO I HAD TO WAIT EVEN LONGER. WHEN I WANTED A REFILL ON MY SODA, I HANDED THE SERVER MY CUP BUT SHE TOLD ME TO TAKE MY STRAW...WIERD. OVER ALL, THIS RESTAURANT WAS FILTHY, HAD POOR FOOD AND NOT COMFORTABLE TO SIT AND EAT. THANK YOU SANDRA
I went to a Denny's restaurant store #7541 on September 10, 2010 with my husband and dad for dinner and it was aweful. When we walked in all the employees were sitting at the counter not doing anything but talking to one another. We were the only people in there at that time, we were greeted by our waiter a few minutes after we walked in and told to choose where we wanted to sit. Found our table and sat down to look at the menu, that's when we noticed some of the booths had tears in the seats. Than the table right next to us had a lot of garbage on the floor underneath it and there was dust on the light fixtures. The over all appearance was terrible after we really looked at it, however we decided to stay and see how the food was. Than the real dissapointment came my dad ordered a prime rib sandwich and it was really tough and soked in grease. We brought it to the servers attention and told him the problem it was the worst meal I have ever tasted from a denny's and not worth the 24.00 that I had to pay. I would give this store a zero on the rating however it dosent go that low, I wont ever return to this location and suggest that no one else ever try it either.
