I give BOA 5 Stars for the Customer Service in my area but also for the IMMEDIATE contact when my debit card was stolen. It was within 15 minutes that I got an automated call about suspicious activity on my debit card. The thief was so slick; just slipped a few credit cards out of my wallet and left everything else in place. The voice message asked if I made a purchase at a Target (somewhere in Brooklyn); I pushed "2" to answer NO. I had the situation resolved quickly and a new card was sent and received within 5 days. Thank you Bank of America for continued quality service !!!

Called Bank Of America 2 x for a mortgage loan and waited on hold for a long time then was disconnected Called back and got Natasha in Jacksonville and was on hold forever even after teklling her what happend the first time and i was disconnected again. B of A is POOR all around. I was told "don't worry, you qualify for a HAMP loan." One mo later, "declined." I have submitted package after package per their request. I ran after that carrot they held out and found I could never reach it! I have income that will pay for pmts now. I went through a "hardship" but that doesn't count because I'm told I make enough "monthly income" to make the pymts. What about the arrearages? Even if I started to make the mo pmts...they sd they wld still f.close because of the arrearages...which I can't pay. However, they refuse to modify or refi, even though they "know" they will rec the money and have been shown proof of this. In addition, I have had to deal with many different employees, all which knew nothing and could not make a decision on their own w/o running to someone else for their approval. This whole deal of trying to work w/B of A has made me ill. They lie, cheat and as far as I'm concerned, "STEAL" your property. They DO NOT WANT TO WORK OUT ANY PLANS WITH ANYONE. When you think they're working with you, DON'T GET YOUR HOPES UP BECAUSE THEY LOVE TO SLAM YOU TO THE GROUND111
I have been dealing with the non responsiveness of BOA staff since February. I put my home on short sale in Feb and before I could miss a payment, my place had a contract on it. Here it is 6 months later, and we have not closed on this property and the responsible person does not return my calls. This is absolutely a horrible way to run a business. Someone needs to clean house and get people in there who value their jobs!!
they deserve no stars at all! my advice to anyone reading these complaints-go the commission of banks website for your state and file a complaint with them if BOA is not responding to your or returning calls or anything of that nature, file a complaint immediately and before you know it BOA will be calling to accomodate your request or issue! I had a problem with them last year with my mortgage and they tried to put it in foreclosure when it was an error on their part. i filed a complaint with the commissions of banks for north carolina, i filed a complaint with the attorney general office and also contacted my Senator who was Richard Burr and his office got involved once i sent all the backup documents. in a matter of days BOA called me working with me so nicely and placed me back on the repayment plan i was on previously they had tried to terminate! we can fight this big bully of a bank and now i am trying to refinance and get away from BOA...don't just keep calling like i said file complaints and you will get somewhere because they messed with the wrong woman and they found that out quickly there were not going to take my house when i was making my payments on the repayment plan until they made an error with my account! if i had enough people i would definitely consider filing a class action lawsuit against their unfair and illegal practices and get them shutdown..they should not even be able to carry the name with "America" in it...should be more of "Bank of Crooks"....fight them people!...file, file, file those complaints and watch things turn around when you get enough people involved!

I ask B O A to help me, they turned me down, they get 120 billion dollar bailout and they can't help me with a 100 thousand loan.....something wrong here.............
i have been with b.o.a. for two years now, i went to them from wells farga as b.o.a. had a branch in my home town. a month ago they closed the branch here, i am a disabled senior and haVE TROUBLE GOING THE 30 MILES TO OTHER TOWN THAT HAS BANK. i have a real concern with boa. my house has been empty now allmost 3 years. i was under the understanding that it was in foreclosure. to make matters worse, boa employees are either lying or don't knw how to look up and give proper answers when a customer asks them something. i was told in april of 2012 that the debt had been paid in full and i was no longer responsible for the home. i was told a couple of days ago that i was given the wrong information and i was still responsible for this home. now, you tell me, who am i supposed to believe? lwhen your bank purchased my mortgge from first franklin, i was told then i could not rent this home or reside in it. i do not need to live in it as i am now married. i have not received any information once so ever until i wrote a letter and was told in december 2011 i would hear something back within 20 busness days. really? what a joke! i only was given the information in april 2012 i mentined above when i called boa, then the woman on the phone said she would call me back in 72 hours, really? REALY??? i called boa back this month, the last time i checked, april to july is a little longer than 72 hours. what a joke. no wonder people are losing their homes, no one at boa seems to return calls, or give the correct information. myquestion now, is where do i go from here?
i currently have a bank of america morgage on a 2 unit building that i do not live in. the goverment program that i was looking for was the home affordable refinance plus. i contacted bank of america to apply for this loan, and they said that they are offering the refinance program, but they have decided not to offer it to non owner occupied home-owners. now not sure what sense this makes, because this specific program is specifically for homeowners that do not occupy the residence. then i asked the loan officer if i could apply for a traditional refinance and he said that bank of america is not even doing refinances at this time. another example of the banks get a bail-out and refusing to help the customer, even tho they are recieving government incentives.
Dear Sirs: Just came back from your bank the Wilshre Center in Los Angeles, CA. We received a cashier check from a client and had one of our law clerks deposit it inat a Bank of America in Orange County where the client had it offices. The funds were a BANK OF AMERICA CASHIER CHECK, which they put a hold on it till the next day. I went to our bank we have been a customer for over 25 years. I went and met with a Mr. Abraham Lee, he just said I can't help, can't do anything. I told him it was a Bank of America cashier check, no can't help. I guess you don't feel your cashier checks are any good. We had a negative balance because again the client gave us a check and I deposited the client check was from bank of america also. I transfer some money from or trust account to our general and before I deposit it, I ask the clerk if the funds were availibale and she assure me they were. I told her that a lien was put on our clients account. She still said yes. Our client told us about the lien but we had already had made the deposit the check. Our client said the the money for our check had been taken out of our account before the lien. Well, your bank made our check NSF which cost us in your fees for bounce checks and for havin a negivite balance. Of course, when we made the deposit we were told that no funds would be availible till the next day. BUT that the BANK would TAKE there fees. I was under the inpression that Cashier Checks were as good as money. The Wilshire Center Branch chances the associates, one year it's Hispanics then Asians. Right now it is Asians. The only thing is that it appears that they bend over backwards for their Asian's clent I have seen this, they go out of there way to make them happy. I have seen them refund fees after they complaint. I think that everyone should be treated the same. The Bank should let the customer know that their Check they are like regular checks I always had the impression that the Cashier's check were as good as money.
My husband passed away, 2 1/2 months ago, amd they still will not release his checking account, I call a week ago, and the bank I took his death certificate into, never faxed it to headquarters,Or so she says, slackers, or just don't care???? I am glad I opened my account with Chase, they seem so professional, compared with what I dealt with at BofA bank.

I read the same mortgage releated problems here that we've had. BoA has foreclosed on our home in direct violation of the very regulations and policies they AGREEED to and accepted gov. money for. They cannot foreclose on a home if it is in the "review" process for a loan modification. BoA tells people they "do not qualify" for various assistance programs when they fully DO qualify. If you are trying to get BoA to process a loan modification, or any other type of help, contact HUD through their HOPE hotline. BoA changes their tune when there is a third party witness to the misleading and fraudulent practices. Then report BoA to any and all consumer protection agencies you can find. BoA needs to be stopped!

I WANT TO HERE FROM PEOPLE WHO HAVE HAD THERE Taxes they pre-paid into there mortgage taken by bank of america. my school taxes were taken . I have no missing payments no lates (only after grace period fees they don't count) and I have a excellent credit score. for seven years i have paid all my taxes and insurance into my mortgage. last month i noticed i was negative 38.00 in my escrow account and school taxes (appr. 1350.00 ) are due in just 3 months. i refinanced right away in fear of lossing my home . and at settlement b of a recieved everything and all monies they said i owed them . Therefore i was to recieve back 1300 dollars instead I recieved a check for $200. dollars . All were discusted at settlement at the bank when they saw my docs and knew i should be recieving " A LOT MORE THAN 200 DOLLARS , MORE LIKE $1200 TO 1300. I HAD ALSO BEEN PAYING A CUSHIONING OF 8.25 AND SCHOOL TAXES DID NOT GO UP LAST YEAR AND NOTHING OF THAT WENT INTO MY ESCROW ACCOUNT SO , PEOPLE CHECK THE BACK OF YOUR STATEMENTS AND MAKE SURE YOUR PRE-PAID TAXES ARE ACTUALLY GOING INTO YOUR ESCROW ACCOUNT . IF YOU REFINANCE DO IT WITH A DIFFERENT BANK AND DON'T TIP OFF B OF A AHEAD OF TIME OR THEY WILL GET CREATIVE WITH NUMBERS TO COVER THEM SELVES . I WANT TO HERE FROM OTHERS ABOUT MISSING TAXES. Bank OF American is a big lier! Cheating Customer, charged customer money by his credit card any way without notice and agreement for protection fee. But bank of American never protected his GOlden VISA credit card member. They just charge your credit card pretection fee every month. But they don't responce to you when you got lay off . YOu can't keep to pay bill . The protection program never protect you when you lose job. Bank of American lie to me and cheated me when i asked about why you charged me protection fee without notice or agreement.Bank of american custoemer service explained to me : This pretection progrom is very good for you. When you losed job, or you got lay off, This protection program will help you pay off your credit balance. But when I got lay off, Bank of american never took care of my credit balance, they sold me case to collection company. Let them call me duing working hour and mid of evening. So torible! Bank of American treat his customr like trash. When Bank of Ameircan had a financial trouble, Goverment gave our citizen Tax money help him out of mud.
