My sister applied with NACA back in July 2010. Presented and completed all required docs, she was told what her mortgage would be each month, she was waiting to hear from BAC to move forward on the process. When she finally heard from BAC - she was told they never agreed with NACA's refinance monthly mortgage payment. They lost her paperwork also...(so they claimed) So is this FRAUD...BAC is NOT working with NACA and it's a big mess. Someone is not following through on their word, and it's a big gap of communication between NACA and BAC.....
WHY WHY WHY WHY!!! Is it so hard to talk to soemone that know something important or worth lisening to to??? BoA have hurt us where it hurt the most taking our home away and not getting us the information we need to stay in our home with affordable loan. We even talk to a company call Novadebt, still no help!!! please lets take them to court and hurt them where it hurt the most.
I know that each of your experiences were horrible because in my prior department; there were a hundred different answers to each issue depending on the mood of management! Bank of America is a corporate in which the successful are kissing someone butt instead of taking care of the customer's need. All that anyone want's is to feel as if their issue matters to someone and that they are not just another number! BOA claims to pride in their service; my opinion is that it is all lip service! Unfortunately, by the time that you find someone that cares; BOA will probably get rid of them because they feel threatened by that one individual! POWER does not like knowledge especially those that lost their ability to "DUMMY DOWN"!
We have accounts at Bank of America because a couple year back BOA took over the Country Wide Bank where we had , 4 MM and CDs. They seem like a safe place to keep our saving at. We owe BOA nothing nor do we owe any other bank anything. All was ok until they closed the mm account at our request on or about 11/13/10. The interest they pay is so low that to transfer money out of their system, the cost would take a year to make it back. So we opted for a check via land mail. As we near 1 month waiting (still no money) with excuses hard for anyone to grasp. Begging, demanding, anything else is to no avail. If you have accounts there, please for your sake, quietly phase them out as I am to do as they mature and hope things work out better than now. No local office for us to visit makes customer service the only way to communicate. They are unreal, will not answer a question and keep putting off mailing the check. We know it can be delived in less than 24 hours. There are little or no help available for average people as us. Bank robbery does not always mean someone held up a bank, it just means police and the media are involved sometimes.
I have a credit card with Bank of America. I pay $300.00 per month and the balance never decrease. I recently noticed they have charged a $115.00 fee to my credit card. When I called to find out why this fee was charged, I was told it was insurance and that in case of my death it would pay off the card. I asked who authorized this action, since I didn't. I was told, someone told them that it was authorized by phone. I asked how long they had been charging this insurance to my card and was told it has been charged since May 2010. I told them again I had not authorized this and wanted every charge removed from my account. I was told they would discontinue the insurance but would not remove the bogus charges. This is a total rip off
Bank of america is an awful bank to have anything to do with. I know of a friend who once worked there and hated it. I also know that the Norfolk, Virginia district manager has relations with a lower staffed employee! How does that work with checks and balances inside of corporate america. Someone is getting favoritism while others suffer the consequences. I dont think its right and it needs to be addressed.
I worked for boa for 3 years holidays weekends all kinds of ot did what ever thay asked. They hired three new people in Hopwell Visa lost stone and fired mevclaiming stramlining. How can you streamline when you are still hiring? I have hire a lawyer THE VP JIM IN BUILDING 1800 IS UNFEELING,UNCARING AND HIMSELF SHOULD BE TERMINATED. THEY KEEP ALL THE OFFICE POLITICS PLAYERS AND FIRE HARDWORKERS. THAT COMPANY WILL BE OUT OF BUSINESS VERY SOON WAIT UNTIL THEY GET HIT WITH MY LEGAL ACTION
How would you like to make two separate deposits in one day only to find that Bank of America somehow put one of the deposits as a debit! then talk about the run around. Of course this happens on the weekend so they tell you at the branch it will resolved after 12:30 pm on a Saturday afternoon. Of course it was not. Now I have to waste more of my time on Monday trying to get MY money from them. Also note, I am not the only person this has happened to lately.
Bank of America is great. However, why when I google my local branch do I not find its telephone number. I get a 1 800 number and have to listen to an automated service. It takes ages and is sure to cause people to leave this bank- all I wanted to know was the bank opening hours. This would be useful information!!
I have given bank of america my business since 2000. As a high school student purchasing my first computer, as a college student using their high interest credit cards to purchase books and as a college freshman purchasing my first car. Today I found out the bank closed my credit accounts without my knowledge. I am very upset. Fortunately I have the power to spread the word and make sure these things do not happen to others. I will now take my business to a new bank and recommend a new bank to all my friends, family and co workers. I cannot believe the nerve of this bank!!!
On May 24,2010 I started a refinance of a home loan (& HELOC) OWNED by BofA. I will spare you the details (that fill many pages of a ledger)- the hour long useless phone calls, wrong information, etc pale in comparison to some of the stories here. My simple $34,000 loan is still not even is Underwriting, and the only reason they can give is that they are busy. Even though it is a bother to change my automatic check deposits, bill payments, bank and Visa card, and start a loan at another bank, that is what I am in the process of doing. I DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING, but I no longer trust them. They don't read these things, do they? Or do they really believe that all us "unwashed masses" will put up with these kind of business, OR ANYMORE BANK BAILOUTS!!
We were supposed to close on our house 11/24/10/. Bank of america called up after we had packed up our home in another state and on the way to let us know that they would not be able to close on time. We have two small children, 1 I should be registering for school but cannot do it since we do not have a verifiable address. We spent Thanksgiving in a hotel and this is where I'm currently staying while my husband is out of town on business. We are still in the hotel. I emailed them and poured out my heart.... Still nothing from them as to when we're closing. Tomorrow morning, I'm packing up my children and going to my parents house and then telling BOA to go to hell. why should I beg them to take my money? I will be closing ALL of my accounts. Good luck to everyone and hope everything works out! God Bless
Hello, corporate. Don't you follow the news? People - IN GENERAL - are ANGRY!! Banks do fail; and WE THE PEOPLE will not tollerate more bail-outs, or business practices like YOURS! On 5-24-10 I started a a home loan with BofA. This is a consolidation of 2 loans they bought from Countrywide. I keep a log of contacts: on 11-22-10 my (3rd) loan officer, Doris Beck, told me the updated appraisal would be done in a few days (the initial one had to be redone because so much time had passed). Not for the first time, I expressed my dismay over the amount of time THEY have taken (no delays on my part). Their only explaination is that they are busy. MY belief is that they have a priority system: this loan only totals $34,000 & is always "on the bottom of the pile". Both the original loans are set up to change soon: today I spent a frustrating hour being transferred, disconnected, and given wrong advice, before I finally found a supervisor(Emily)who could answer my questions - just about the upcomeing changes to my present loans! NOTE: in the process someones CONFIDENTIALITY was compromised as I overheard their conversation (they could not hear me): you will be happy to know that Mr.Baumgardner's late charge was waived because his payment history is fine. After reading these far more horrible accounts I will be stopping this refinance farce (could ANY bank do any worse!?), and closing my decades old account with BofA: which includes safe deposit box, multiple checking and savings accounts (my husband & I have seperate accounts), charge cards, and CD's. I am even willing to pay husband's CD penalties, but am afraid that (at his age) he will be willing to stay with BofA STRICTLY for the convenience of not changing checks, bank & charge cards (even though he believes the economy is headed for disaster). Personally, I will take my business elsewhere.
Loan modification started to end took 11.5 months lowered PITI payment by 200.00 when BOA (only the servicer not the lender or owner or the note) was advised not to do the mod if they couldn't lower the payment by 600.00. Based on HAMP program guidelines 36% DTI. AQlways made my mortgage payments on time but right from the start they BOA stated that I had to be 3 months late on mortgage before they could or would do anything. Even though my family at the time was OK, I knew my income was going to drop because my wife's illness that eventually took her life 13 months later. People, understand that the HAMP program was "suppose" to help homeowners who were experiencing mortgage payment difficulty because of a true hardship. Butb there is no moral, ethical, or motivation on the part of BOA or another bank to help because they probably make more money selling the property at foreclosure because the pass through of all the fees etc that they will col;lect. You also need to know that most if not all mortgages that were registered through MERS or "Mortgage electronic Registration Services" this company is suppose to register all mortgages that are generated by the banks in this country. And its suppose to register all mortgages that are sold between banks and investors as well plus remember you are suppose to be notified when your mortgage is sold or re-assigned. But most families aren't!! Please note do your own due diligence!!! Your mortgage is probably not registered in your county courthouse where you reside and that is a violation of state law.If your mortgage is not registered then the title of mortgage is flawed. You need to check with a good real estate attorney, I am not. Plus you must deal not with the servicer but with the actual owner of your mortgage. That will be very tough to prove because most documents have been destroyed lost, misplaced etc... therefore nobody really knows who may own your mortgage. Again please do your due diligence but there is a great deal of fraud being found by attorneys in FLA.,CA, MD., OH.,NV, AZ. NY and NYC ME, That is why all banks especially BOA stopped all foreclosures because their potential of massive loan losses are hugh. BOA potential exposure of lose is estimated at 75 - 85 billion dollars more that what their reserves actually are!! This number does not include 2nd mortgages. I believe that if a family goes into BK-13 reorganization and an aoppraisal is completed on your home and the value is less than what the 2 mortgages are in total the 2nd mortgage turns into a unsecured debt (like a credit card) 2nd mortgage... again please check with an attorney in your state and do your own due diligence!!! With the internet available to everyone there is no reason not to know what steps to take and what questions to ask... States have set up agencies to help families wade through the BS and get the banks inline to help families that are truly in need. Document, document, document because Judges are fed up with big banks trying to take advantage of the homeowners who have documents proving that they have done everything they could to no no fault of their own seeking help and the banks just kept yanking our chain. Ladies and gentlemen there is no need to fear. Do your due diligence, if you have a legimate reason in seeking help go for it. But, if you are upset that you can't sell your home because its lost value well, don't sell. But keep making your mortgage payment it is your contracted obligation. Give you an example, if you buy an investment and you want to sell but the investment lost value you can sell and take the lose or you can hold and you have lost nothing. Just because the investment lost value you can't sue the broker for the lose right. Unless you were scammed!! Well, you can't stop making a mortgage payment just because the home lost value... unless you soldd it. But you don;t have to sell so you didn't lose any money. Ladies and Gentlemen, we have options, and the laws are in our favor. Follow the law and the law will protect you and your family from the banks that have already committed fraud, mis-representation, false doumentation, forgery, rob-signing, illegal notary stamps, allunges not properly perpared and attached, lack of original documentation (note, Title, Deed of Trust) missing , misplaced, dupilicate replacement docments are illegal... do your due diligence and t=you will find that you do have options... we the people will win,,, they gave us loose underwiiting guidelines, loose credit rating giving us higher than normal credit scores ... it was a scam set up by the banks like BOA, Countrywide, Wells Fargo, etc plus the Goldman Sachs type investment were deeply involved as well... they made billions plus most of the MBS investments (mortgage backed securities) were insured. WHich most of us didn't know this point plus these investment houses such as goldman sachs made bets that these MBS investment would actually fail!!! So, these investment houses made money selling these toxic investments to unexpecting clients (violation of business ethics and trust) and then they would just sit back and rake in millions if not billions of dollars when these investments began to fail or fall apart... Isn't there a saying you can't have your cake and eat it too... well they did... at our expense!!! Now its time to for us to take control... 1.) Have our mortgages adjusted to what we can afford 2.) Prosecute the Fraudsters, take all their money and give it to the poor and pay down our nations debt. 3.) Pray to God that we do believe in God We Trust, the family cohesion, Up hold US Law and State Law !!! God Bless don't give up stand up and say NO!!
I know that BOA is supposed to be the biggest bank in America so why am I surprised to feel like just another number when I deal with them. They have no compassion for thier customers. I now see we alot of people chose to do business with smaller local businesses where things are more persinal and the people know you by name and treat you with respect and appreciate your business. At bank of america I feel as though it would not make a difference to them whether I came or went. I don't understand how everything became so impersonal.
Don't ever buy a short sale from BOA we have been waiting for almost a year and a half and they keep saying any day now, any day now and nothing. It is torture.
I have been living a nightmarish experience with the Bank of America for the past nine months. My account has been overwhelmed with "Late Payment Charges",and in some cases "No Payments Received". The Bank of America staff has not provided any solution to helping me resolve the problem of which is simply "Not Our Fault". We have been making payments 'On Time" before the grace period ends, and all of our bank statements indicate the exact amount required to satisfy BOA's monthly payment. Furthermore all payments have been debited from our account. B.O.A's CEO's Office Advocates don't even know how to fix the problem, and it seems obvious that I get the run around from every department. No one really seems to care about me or the errors on my loan account. Each month we receive "No Payment" or "Late Payment notices from bank of America stating our account is in default. I have spend approximately 30 hours per week speaking with the customer service representatives in trying to resolve this problem which is clearly the fault of your organization. The main purpose of this email is for me to request assistance from you regarding this matter, and ask you to help me put the fire out at the base of the flame. I wanted to provide you with information which could possibly improve the customer service relations currently being implimented by your organization and associates. I would also like to make some recommendations to improve the accuracy of customer account information and internal informational services. First and foremost, I believe people have the ability to satisfy the needs of others if they are provided with the proper tools to complete the tasks at hand. I also believe there should be a system in place where the customer can feel confident in an organization or company of which he or she decides to trust. * There are some main concerns we need to address to improve Bank of America's efficiency. I believe these vital areas are the key points to solving my problem and probably millions of other people. 1. Customer Service procedures. Assign each customer to a group of representatives who can maintain accurate communication regarding individual accounts. This might eliminate the "Run Around" I always get when I call for assistance. 2. Internal Communication between departments. Implement a computer system which allows all departments to access information from other departments. Everyone I BOA says, "I can access your records from my department." 3. Payment posting information. Re-Program the main system to issue late payment notifications after the 16 day grace period and not before. Why am I getting late notices on the 1st of the month. Why does BOA cash my checks on the 1st and not post them until 2 months later.?? 4. On-Line data and internet transactions. Implement a system change where information is updated immediately, or at least within 72 hours. Currently it's about 2 months behind. BOA is simply at the bottom of the barrel when it comes to customer service, accurate record keeping, and communication. I'm done.. It's time to get a lawyer!!!
I have been with BOA for about 30 years. I DO NOT like them, they are INFLEXIBLE. They used to have free checking for seniors, however they no longer care about seniors. You can have free checking if you have a direct deposit to your account every month. That doesn't sound too bad, however the problem is that the deposit must be made within the statement cycle and BOA closes my statement cycle before the 4th Wednesday of the month when my Social Security check is deposited. They charge a fee of $8.95 when this happens. Today, I called the BOA Corporate Office and told them about the situation and they changed my statement cycle to close a week before my SSA check is deposited avoiding future problems. Can you believe that! I am shocked, but grateful.
Bank of America is the worst company I've tried to deal with! I have called all day and have been given the run around. I have 4 home loans wiht B of A. 3 of them I can put up on the Web. the 4th one, I can NOT. I have called all day working on this and every time I am half with this, I get cut off or they put me on hold and then I get cut off. I am now on hold from Bank of America Corporate Office | Headquarters 100 N. Tryon St Charlotte, NC 28255 (704)386-5681 So let me see if they come back from having me on hold? I have been working on this thing from 9:00am to now, 4:38pm. Bank of America Sucks, big time. I will make calls in the moring to try and have some other bank take over my 4 loans. This Bank/Home Loans Company is less than a 1 Thank you for your time, but NO HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bank of America is as bad as Chase, Wells Fargo, and Capital One. They are crooks and they like to find their way of getting money from customers and intentially do something to make it the customers' error and not the bank. I wrote out a check for the amount of $25 for my doctor's office and they deposit my check the same day. I have enough funds to cover it and it has been over a week and not once I have seen it posted. Something came up so I have to get food for my baby and I need to get more grocieries. When I checked my account several times on Christmas Eve nothing was posted yet. I thought maybe this is a banks holiday so it was not considered a business day. At 11:59pm my check was posted and then got bounced so I had to suffer a $35 NSF/returned check fee. What a great Christmas gift!! I did the online chatting with Micah and he was talking to me like I was some kind of idiot. I told him I want to talk to the supervisor and he transferred me to Mark and he wasn't very helpful at all. Then I went to the bank branch off of Preston and Beltline in Dallas, TX, yesterday to personally speak with the banker and she was extremely rude and being a Miss-Know-It-All. She won't refund the money because it's not a bank's error. I have been a loyal customer since 2008 and this is what they treat me. A common criminal. They purposely posted my check when I didn't have the money versus when I did have it. That's stealing. Now I have to pay my doctor an extra $25 for the returned check. No wonder the CEO is in trouble, and so does Bank of America. i hope they all burn in hell for their greediness.
