Bank of America does not support its military banking customers. Military Bank customers may not make deposits by ATM. Of course no notice was given to customers. They are attempting to get rid of the former Military bank they purchased which was very proffitable. The Poor executives making decisions take TARP Money but screw their customers. I have paid off 2 mortgages and 3 cars with BOA. I would NEVER Borrow from them again. Customer loyalty is worth a lot. Your value as a company and in customer committment is the pits. I have just opened an additonal checking account with USAA. Thirty five years of loyalty is worth nothing to these people. LPB Fort McPherson, GA
I am receiving weekly phone calls from the Bank of America stating that I have a home loan with a Leonard Brooks, of which I do not know. I do not have a home loan with the Bank of America. I am getting weekly automated phone calls stating that I have such a loan. In response, I call of this company stating the problem, and each representative has assured me that my phone number would be deleted. But to no avail, I keep receiving automated phone calls stating that I do. This has been going on for the past 3 months on a weekly basis. Not only is this company not efficient, but I feel as though they are fulfilling their promise that these harassing phone calls will stop. I have never dealt with the Bank of merica, nor will I ever deal with them in the future, due to the nature of this problem.. The customer service is lousy, I ahve continuously attempted to get my name and phone number deleted for three months.
I am devistated and most of all appoled with the practice of Band of America. they should not be allowed to use the word America in their name. The only way we can beat them if file complaints with the Office of the Comptroller of Currency. Then they will call. they will lie to you and never do what they say. I hope and pray that we can all have a class action law suit against these so called bankers.
These idiots keep caslling me in order to collect on an account that I've never had. I have NEVER had an account with Bank of America. The harassment continues at their expense; any chance they ever had to get my business is gone because of their harassment and bullying efforts. The next time they call me, I'm going to scream "RAPE!" into the phone. Every time they try to say anything, I'll repeat it until they hang up.
There MUST -- MUST be something we can do about this! I am LIVID. My husband and I used a third party to negotiate a loan remodification for us. This process started in JULY of 2009. Now, after almost 2 years, Bank of America has denied us a modification stating that we are NOT eligible because our mortage is not far enough in arears; yet -- they keep sending us threatening foreclosure notices. I can't believe nobody at Bank of American knew this 2 years ago and that nobody is interested in helping folks like us wo are making an effort to pay their mortgages. From what I understand, Bank of American is NOTORIOUS for these kinds of pracrtices. I am going to start contacting their officers until I get SOMEONE to listen and be accountable for their POOR, PITIFUL customer service practices. Anybody want to join me?

Mr. Alonza Barnes 6719 Grey Oaks Drive Houston, Texas 77050 May 16, 2011 President, Bank of American 5200 North Shepherd Houston, Texas -- Phone # 713-696-0370 Dear Sir or Madam: On May 13, 2011, I stopped by your Bank of American site located on 5260 North Shepherd to make a cash deposit, while there I had to use the restroom; I was told by one of your teller’s representative that Bank of American did not have a public restroom for their customers. Unfortunately, I had to leave and come back to finishing my deposit transaction. I am sure all businesses face customer complaints at one time or another. Some of these complaints are justifiable, and some are simply outrageous; such as no public restroom for customers! Thanks you for taking the time to read this letter. I have been a satisfied customer of your company for many years and this is the first time I have encountered a problem. I look forward to your reply and to the resolution of this problem. If you need to contact me, you can reach me at (713) 201-3734. Or please consider this my official written notice for terminating all my account(s) with your company (Bank of American). Sincerely, ____________________________________ ab
This company steals homes. They offer modifications but never honor their agreements and then force people into foreclosure. They're too big and government owned for anyone to stop them but it's a known internal process. YOU MUST FILE COMPLAINTS if you're having problems. File with the OCC, FTC and Attorney General. It may take months or years but file those complaints and get it on record!
I am incredibly disappointed with your customer service representatives. When customers apply for an increase it is reasonable to ask about the process. What I asked was if the person who made the decision was going to call the employer before considering my request. That is not an unreasonable question- I need to know this because I feel employees personal finances are none of their employers business. If that is part of the process of reviewing the request, that's your privilege- BUT I HAVE A RIGHT TO KNOW IF THAT IS PART OF THE PROCESS IF I DO NOT WANT TO SUBMIT THE REQUEST ON THAT BASIS. The customer service person and then their Supervisor AUSTIN REYNOLDS just repeated one line over and over like robots "we are not the credit analysts so we do not know the process." Well, that's ridiculous and totally unreasonable. By definition, customer service is supposed to provide general information about the process- I understand they don't make the decision, but they should be able to answer a question about the process rather than repeating like a robot " we only take the information". With the kind of fees that customers pay, that kind of unresponsiveness to customer's questions is totally unacceptable. It really reflects badly on your company that presents itself about caring about customer service. Not to explain the most basic question on the process that they are supposedly serving the customer to access is really a very poor service. I'm sure I am not the only person asking that question and they should be prepared to answer it- certainly the manager should have and provide more information that information. If all you ask of your customer service representatives is to act like automotons who cannot respond to the most basic customer question then you might as well hire autistic children to perform that service and not pose as providing responsive adults. When I called, I expect customer service- I did not expect necessarily to get my request approved-you have the right to make that decision based on your criteria and process- but I should be able to get information on the process itself. Your company has failed miserably in this regard and I feel that other potential customers should be well aware of this shameful practice.
An update from Bank of America Appeals phone bank. I got someone from that dept. who had a brain. I was informed that for the past THREE WEEKS, BOA'a Appeals dept. has had problems. No kidding. I'd say it's more like three years, not three months. BOA is playing good cop, bad cop and I'm sick of the whole bunch up and down the line. They aren't afraid of the Comptroller of the Currency, members of the Senate or HUD non-profit counseling. They aren't afraid and they want to starve people out of their homes. Stand your ground or get an American Flag and do a protest on public sidewalk outside of your nearby BOA that they don't want you to go near. Their customers who want loan mods are the unwashed. They don't want you near their precious banks. That's all - American Flag wave. No signs or yelling. Park off their property so they can't ask you to leave.
I too have been bamboosled by BoA..they told me that i quilified for a modifycation and not to send any payments until it was complete...now ONW YEARlater they tellmeI must pay $10,000.000 to catch up before they can modify....they are a bunch of CROOKS!!!!!!!!!...nevertheless im in forclosure
My wife and I have been trying to deal with this company for 9 months now. After her being off work for two months (health issues) and having a yr old son needing constant medical attention our paychecks suffered. After 18 calls in one month and being promised 18 times we would receive paperwork, to sign and return, guess what NO PAPERWORK! Imagine our surprise everytime we called and we were told that it wasn't even showing on our account we had been sent this paperwork. So now as we continue to try and keep our house, she called today trying to resolve the situation, she was told and I quote "you need to take an emergency loan out on your 401K." First why the heck would we take A LOAN out to try and pay back a loan? Second is that the best they can do is not help and not only say there is nothing they can do BUT hey take away from your retirement too! What a joke hey I'll continue to work the rest of my life, only to line your fat a** pockets with my hard earned money. By the way did I mention they tried to foreclose on us when I was deployed to Iraq, and it took a call from a military jag officer to make them understand what they were "going to do." Up yours boa and all your top brass working in the corporate office. Cannot even conform to the laws set forth to help those being deployed.
I did a modification in July 2010. (that was a cluster from the get go) My first payment was not due until Sept 2010. In Spetemeber they called and said my payment was only $174.00 because all the late fees had been credited back to my account. So I paid it. Since that time I have had a phone call every month from "Loan Consuling" and they alway tell me I am TWO months behind on my mortgage. Finally last month I spoke with someone who actually knew what they were talking about, and it appears that the idiot that took my payment over the phone in Sept 2010, put that payment towards the month of August which is not due. So now thanks to the great people at Bank of America, I have had rolling 30 day lates on my mortgage. try and imagine my credit score. I have sent numerous certified letters, what amazing is the return receipt never comes back. I have written to the Preident, Vice President, Senators, Congressmen, and HUD. Do you think anyone will help me. Also, because of the modification I am now in a house that is not worth what I owe on it and its a 40 year mortgage. Anyone thinking of doing a modification, DON'T. My payment whent down a whole $80.00. BofA makes the mortgage more but the interest rate is the national average so it appears your payment is going down alot. Today I am on letter number 10 going to BofA to get some kind of help on fixing what they have screwed up.
BOA favors minorities. Were you denied and you are not a minority? Well, join the club. They want to keep Barack Obama happy for the 2012 election. Help minorities and treat icky white people like me like dirt. I've been lied to since 2008. One of the status cue operators said to me, "I know it's hard." So touching. They have freaking jobs to make it look like they are on this loan mod thing. It's all window dressing. Their voicemail says "valued customer." BOA is total bs. I didn't choose them. I started w/Quicken who are also scam artists. Avoid Quicken Loans, people. You'll just end up with BOA/Fannie Mae and expect more lies.
Jeeze, After reading all the complaints with BOA I was going to file a compliant but after what I just read and what I am experiencing with BOA sounds like BOA corp. doesn't really give a flip. So I"ll find some where to do business.
BOA should be penalized for the shameful way they are treating homeowners. I agree with the comments about them being deceitful.
BOA IS A CORRUPT CORPORATION. THEY ALLOWED THEIR REPS TO REPEATEDLY TELL ME NOT TO MAKE PAYMENTS ON MY HOUSE WHILE A LOAN MODIFICATION WAS IN PROCESS. NOW THEY HAVE FORECLOSED ON MY HOME AFTER ALLOWING THEIR REPS TO TELL ME NOT TO MAKE PAYMENTS. THEY WILL NOT EVEN ADDRESS THIS ISSUE. I HAVE SENT EMAILS TO THE US ATTORNEY GENERAL ERIC HOLDER AS WELL MY US SENATOR ASKING THEM TO INVESTIGATE THIS COMPANY. I GOT A REPLY FROM MY SENATOR TELLING ME HIS OFFICE IS INVESTIGATING THEM. THIS THIEVERY HAS TO BE STOPPED. I URGE ALL WHO HAVE BE CRAPPED ON BY BOA TO WRITE YOUR CONGRESSMEN, SENATORS, ETC.
mAY 7, 2011 ASS BIG OF A-- AS-- WLLLS FARGO-----THEY HAVE TO GIP YOUNG PERSONS BY EPNALIZING FIVE DOLLARS EVERYDAY FOR A FIVE DOLLAR OVERDRAW=====THERI ASS--SHOULD BE SUED FOR ALL THER ARE WORTH. THIEVES
I received an email on 5/4/2011 from Bank of America. I have never had an account with BofA ever! Now they say they contacted me previously which is untrue and if I don't give my info I can't restart my account. I don't have an account with them. All I get from their abuse.bankofamerica.com is generic and they may be investigating this. I will never oper another email from them, nor do business with them. Why can't I get in touch with someone except idiots who think BofA can sca us? What a shame. Is there anyone in corporate headquarters who ever sees these emails and does something? I guess not. I hope the CEO is happy!
In 2009 Bank of America suddenly lowered my $20,000 credit limit on my credit card to $1,700. I had a balance of $1,700 at the time and had the card for over 12 years and never missed a payment. On my credit report it showed that my Bank of America credit card was maxed out and lowered my credit score. I always sent in regularly $300 to $400 payments every month and never have high balances and pay down my balances quickly. 3 months later I called customer service to raise my limit so I can have some room on my credit and improve my score. At the time I had a balance of only $350 and was told that they needed to review my account. A credit manager called me back the next day and told me I had bad credit and was a credit risk and also a bad customer. My credit score at the time was 690 and all my other accounts were in good standing. I was shocked by what the manager said and he decided to close my account for no reason and was very disrepectful to me. I'm extremely upset by the way Bank of America's handling and treatment of customers. As a result I've been sending them slightly less than minimum payments to protest and have repeatedly tried to speak to a manager and have been ignored. Bank of America has now wrecked my credit by stating that I'm currently delinquent on my account even though I continue to make payments. I can't stand to see or go to a Bank of America branch espescially when I have to make my payment every month. I'll never do business with this bank ever again no matter what they offer me! I hope someone out there especially a lawyer or law maker can do something about this and make Bank of America accountable for their actions. Remember, this one of the banks that got bail out money from the government and was supposed to help the economy and people recover from the recession. We are not going to recover as long as banks like Bank of America act like this!
