long story short...i had a boa credit card and had a $1,000.00 balance back in 2006. i was in an accident (11/2006) i broke my back and my neck,lost hearing,gained vertigo, was in a full back body brace for 4 months.(bicycle accident in woods so no insurance involved) . eligible for disability. meanwhile paid some doctors with BOA credit card and still made minimum payments,balance now $3,200.00. lost my apartment, homeless, staying with friends,waiting to receive disability,,finally receive it in 2009. had several credit cards and settled and paid all of them off except Bank Of America who lost my account. i called every office that was suggested by BoA. i even called their collections department and spoke to a manager who assured me they had no account in my name. so what else was i to do?? i had the money to pay them and they insisted i hadnt an account with them. so now out of the blue i get a letter in the mail from a collection company that says i owe Bank of America $10,600.00!! Bull Shit!! i called the collection company and told them this is not a valid bill and they need to check there records. now i am waiting for appointment with my lawyer.
I just had to state the experience I've been thorough and how well and how quick Bank of America took care of me. I recently had a mysterious charge on my account from an online company, which I did not authorize, and the charge caused my account to overdraw, leading to overdraft charges, ect. The day I called the dispute office they were quick to start the process. I recieved the paperwork within a few days. When I was unsuccessful to fax the paperwork to the number givin, I called and the manager, Mel, stood up to the plate and gave me his personal fax number AND gave me a call when he received the paperwork.(Honeslty, that impressed me enough I will never leave this bank) After getting all the paperwork returned to Bank of America, within a day of so the money was refunded to my account including all the overdraft fees I was charged due to this unauthorized charge. I have never had better customer service anywhere else. I am 100% happy and will recommend them based on my expierence alone. GREAT GREAT SERVICE!!!
If every person out there who banks at BOA would close their accounts, maybe it would put this completely dishonest corporation out of business. Our home was placed into foreclosure because BOA decided to take one of our monthly payments and apply it to the negative escrow account (which we knew nothing about, of course). We have gone through many of the same things as everyone else, the stalls, the run-arounds, the transfer from one person who doesn't know what they are doing to another who doesn't either. They finally gave us a reinstatement amount. However, they were holding on to our last two payments, which we needed to have the full amount. We begged, we pleaded and finally the money was placed back into our bank account on the day that the reinstatement had to be paid. My husband over-nighted it immediately, requesting a signature. They received it...the full amount. Today, Fannie Mae came to the house. BOA let the foreclosure go through in court, even though we had already paid them in full to reinstate. I don't know what is going to happen now. I am ready to contact ABC Nightly News or something to expose them. I am sure thousands of people would line up to tell how BOA has screwed up their lives by taking their homes and ruining their credit. I would like to point out that there are lawsuits all over the country right now because BOA is not listed as the original owner of the debt, they are just the servicers of the loan. Therefore, they have no RIGHT to foreclose anyway. They don't own the debt, didn't loan the money. In fact, they are paid a fee on foreclosures and don't loose a dime since they didn't loan anyone the money to buy the house in the first place. I am still trying to determine Fannie Mae's part in all this. How do they get ownership from BOA that neither of them ever owned in the first place? Our loan was from Countrywide.
8/4/2011 This morning I went to B of A on first Street in Napa, CA. I went to cash a check drawn on This Bank and was treated very, very badly. The customer service in this facility was beyond poor, the three women that I confired with(including one manager) were very rude to me in front of the other customers. Since I did not have an account with them they refused to help me after taking my finger print and drivers license and interigated me about my credit status (2x)and did not pass the check back to me. I could not open an account and they followed up with some very personal and forward questions about why I had no checking account and why my credit was bad, all in front of the other customers. I was so surprised at the treatment I received which really upset me. I then went to the B of A on Trancas Steet where I was treated with the utmost respect. The check was cashed, I left very happy with an opoligy from Alonzo and Angela for the ill treatment I had received earlier. I have heard of the treatment B of A has given to others and it,s no wonder I don't wish to join their Institution.
I recently had a loan modification last year Oct 2010 and the documents I signed clearly indicated the amount that needed to be paid each month and I figured I would try and sell the house before 2021 when the loan adjusted to a higher monthly payment. Now I have been paying on time since then and I had a death in the family which sent me back two months so I didn't pay Apr and May but at the end of may did pay the two month and paid the late fees all together. Each month since then I have been making sure I call them because seems an amount disappeared and I call spending 2-3 hours on the phone being transfered to each department..all because they INCREASED my escrow the same month I missed my April payment by $34.00. $34.00 may not seem much to them but when you are struggling to make the monthly payments on time and nonthing else left, that adjustment is alot. Now after several calls and amounts current and unapplied amounts posted, some one calls me on the 3rd of the month that am behind on two payments and late charges. I think I need to start writing to the CEO everyday. there needs to be a better system for the CSR reps to see what every department is telling the customer..
I never received my first BOA permanent card. Chris at Westshore location in Tampa, FL closed out my account, I do not have the date. There was a charge I never made. He gave me a temp card and said the permanent one would be delivered to my address, it never was. He said he would put a trace on it and never did. No one called me with the results of the trace. I just called my bank and on 7/23/11 I was issued another temp card. I spoke with Assistant manager at my bank she informed me my permanent one will arrive by Aug. 3,2011 If it does not arrive here on that date I will deposit my check due Aug. 5, 2011 at another bank. I am sure someone wants my business! Please research this! Many times my mail is delivered to another mailbox, as I frequently get someone else's mail. I live in a condo and no one slipped the first permanament card addressed to me in a plain white envelope. I cannot sign for an overnight delivery as suggested by Emily. I work 7a to 7p Monday-Friday. Please have card delivered to my BOA at Westshore, Tampa, FL. Call Emily assistant manager at Westshore for details as I cannot answer my phone at work. Do not call me! Working with the Kevin Budde group has been the worst experience ever. Since starting my loan I have been only dealing with my agents assistant Linda Scott, who is the most unprofessional and rude person I've ever dealt with. Because of her, none of my family will ever use Bank of America again.
Can someone please help ive been trying to modify my loan since 2008.. We are Foster parents if we loose are home we risk loosing are kids... Laws in Wa state are crazy.. I have a BOA loan and for years they have been applying my payment to a misc posting category. Then they call me 3 times every day and ask where is my payment. Then I tell them again to please write this down, put my payment onto my principal. Then a few months later it happens again, no one writes anything down about the conversations that they have with you. I no longer answer their calls. Last month, I sent them a check for $1400 and they sent me a check back for 400.00, saying I still owe them $1000.00! Then to top matters off, they put a 30 day late fee on my credit report, it seems that company is out to hurt the consumers, not help them. This is ridiculous!! I notified the better business bureau and BOA corporate office of my situation and Tonya Best of that office called me two days ago, I returned four calls and she hasnt answered, dont know how they live with themselves. Today I received a check from the FTC for 64.00, saying they sued BOA for unfair business practices, and this is my share. It seems there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
BOA has given us the runaround for longer than a year. My husband had a paycut in Sept. 2009, we called and told them. They would not help us because we were not behind on house payments. He went for five months working and had a second job that still didn't meet our needs. We survived off credit cards and advancing money from our pay checks. We kept calling! We were told no you are not going to qualify because you are not behind. My husband was about to be fired in Jan. 2010, but thank God he was offered a job with pay closer to what he use to make. He took it, he didn't want to loose our house. Well credit card bills, student loans, house needing an AC, and car breaking down all happened in 2010, as we contacted BOA several times a month. They would not help. Now we were behind one payment but according to the calculator they use. We make enough money to afford our home. We told them we needed help months ago but you wouldn't do it. We told you it was getting hard to catch up after the pay cut, and yes the new job came in, but we were borrowing and using advance pay to bay you stupid people! Now here we are two months behind and late on the third month. I am ready to walk away, but now BOA wants to do some inteview and collect our paperwork for a modification. WOW, they are ready to help us if we qualify? Accoding to the qualification calculator we make enough money now, and we need to get rid of the credit card dedt. WE WOULDN'T HAVE THEY STUPID DEDT IF YOU GUYS WOULD OF HELPED IN THE FIRST PLACE< BACK IN SEPT 2009! I really don't know what to do, the rep will be here this week to interview us and take our paperwork. Our home is in an upside-down loan so if it is sold we will still owe over $35,000. Wellsfargo was the bank we used on our other home and I have to say I wish they would buy out BOA. They helped people and took care of things before they got bad.
After 2 years of applying, I am finally in the "trial period" of a home loan modification with BofA. I have not yet made my third payment (it is not due yet) and just got a notice on my door stating: "NOTICE OF TRUSTEES OF SALE" wtf???? I called 3 seperate BofA customer service employees and got no response or answer. According to the paper my home sale date is 8/16 and I have not yet been denied or awarded a home loan modification and havent completed the third trial month. I do not know what to do and am wondering if they can actually sell my home before I qualify or am denied the home modification. HELP!!!!

My problem started in April 2011, after coming back home to Florida from a emergency I had in New York with a sick uncle. I received an emergency call from a New York Hospital since I wass listed as next of kin , they informed me that he could never be sent back home to live alone and that they were sending him to a assisting living nursing home. After going though all this wilth my mom and I myself was a previous employee of Bank of America, I knew what had to be done. I did agree with afterfirends had seen him he was in another world. He even owed the landord three months rent and the aparment was a disgrace. I was able to find all his miltary paper work so started the due process of getting the info they needed. The nursing home was a dump. Well in my findings the admitting and medicade person advised me if he owed me any money to get the copies of the checks and forwarded them to office to bring his income lower and I would be paid back. Well I came back from New York the first thing I did was pull the statements and pape work I had from 2007 and went inot the local branch that knew me for years. We spent over 2 hours working with a offical items person on a recorded line. He was able to find the check in the amount of $7,000 ( that the one I only little info on) but not the one for $5,000 ( that was the one I had almost all info on series # account number when it came out of the date. I advised him to make sure that there was no $5000. for the whole year. He went backed and check and spoke to the branch manager and told her no checked cleared for that amount. He spoke to the branch manger sara, Personal Bnaker Lorannine, and myself again. I was given the word of the clerk and also the branch manager a stop would be issued and a new offical check was issued. I waited and got with the branch and open an account deposited the check and was then advised it was ok to withdrawl the funds. Wellit took over one month to the date I received a notice of check reversal. You see the clerk was looking for the wrong item. I went into the branch very upset and Sara started working on the problem. They I got a innsuffent funds notice, I brought that into the branch. Miss Sara was pregant at the time and turn the file over to the assistant manager. I have been receiving calls from everyone. The branch is trying there best. I only went into the bank for copies. If there was any question on the item I should have been advised. I am know trying my best to set up a payment plan but its only for a year. Not one person has come to me and said we a sorry the inconvience this has caused, the stress. I do under stand banking form how the check comes into the bank through due process, rejects items balancing general ledger account even offical items. No one is taking the accountable on this. The y are making me feel like a bad person. No I have not working I had to leave the bank back in 2005 to take care of my mom who had alztiemers/dementia. my husband lost his job in 2007 after 23 yeras and finally found a full time job in 2011 not the high pay that he wa making. I also was making good money 17 years with bank America through 4 mergers. and total of 24 years of banking experience. The branch si going to give me a $5,000 credit to be paid back in one year, they were told by several different dept that was the only way. but it has to be paid back in one year. that is not enough time for us. we are trying our best, I have so many bills that were caused by taking care of my mom for almost ten years. I even tried the caregiving long distance for years before I knew what had to done. Would some please check on this issue . Not one phone call has been made or answered email that a mistake was made on the bank's part on this. Some people were asking to apeak to the person listed as ITF on the account. That is wrong. I spoke to a big supervisor on thsi and shge said her people did not understand. I am only trying my best this is a band error I will pay back the money I can not do it in one year time. I am meeting with the branch on Saturday july 23, 2011, South Tampa Mahanttan branch. But there has to be justice or at least some help for me. I did not go into the branch seeking money that was not due me only photos never thinking a check may be outstanding. And this person in offical items sits back and has cuased so much hardship and time for some many people. The branch is doing there best but therre hands are tied to a point, But they were the ones they told me I could not understand If a check outstanding with balacning certain accounts why was nothing done before this. I was told not to worry.

Give me a break...BofA is horrible...their phone systems the worse...Their employees speak either too fast or with such bad English is is difficult to understand them. They tell me I have the wrong department and give me another number to which is wrong again...I am looking at 14 different numbers now and four hours later and I have not made promise...I am not in default, late or in bad standing but simply want to do a lot long adjustment on a parcel they hold the lien on....said parcel will be increased from one acre to two acres and will enclude improvements. I can't find anyone why knows how to get me to the right department. Grrrhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh........ I have multiple complaints for different reasons and their commericals with all the wonderful pats on the back they give themself just does not ring true.... If they would stop trying to aquire new customers and take care of the ones they have without all the run around they would probably be in better standing and better liked.

Is there really anyone steering this ship? Have been trying to make an offer on a house that has a 2008 repossesion number. BOA will tell me nothing except I am wasting my time. Recontrust, the BOA wholly owned company can tell me nothing. The house gets scheduled to be auctioned every month, then a few days before the auction, the date gets moved up another 30 days. This has been going on for over a year that I know of. The house is being lived in by a group of illegals. They find humor in the fact that they haven't paid a dime to live there for over 2 years. I find it odd, and frustrating, that I am willing to make an offer on the house, but BOA is content to pay taxes on the house, and provide free housing for illegals.
My parents cosigned me (without my knowledge) on a condo they bought but BofA never put me as a coborrower. When I called them to request to be put on the loan, they said my parents would have to refinance... my folks are letting the place go and come to find out, my name is magically on the home loan.. go figure that when my parents are not paying the mortgage bofa magically puts my name on the mortgage and is coming after me as well... I know something is up because their computers say the condo should have been foreclosed in aug of 2010... If they had told me my name was on the mortgage I wouldn't have let the condo go, but now bofa can pack sand because they are not getting my money after their unfair practice of lending...
i have a first and and second mortage with these people.i am 1 payment behind and set to repay an extra 130.00 a month to catch up.i have recieved 3 calls today.i have kept up with my repayment plan and they still keep harassing me.the us goverment should have never given them any stimulus money and let them go broke as they could care less about anyone but their greedy selves.
