Beginning Sunday, Walgreen's will now REQUIRE you to belong to their Rewards program to obtain any item at sale prices. To sign up you need to give them a bunch of identifying information. When I asked about security of information no one was able to answer the information. Also, if you don't have the rewards card physically with you it will be accessible from the key pad or via the clerk just by using your phone number. This is now their policy & was veified by Walgreen's customer service. When I asked to speak to someone with more authority about my concerns I was told "I'm sorry I can't transfer you to anyone. I can only take the information and pass it on. they then decide to contact you." I told her yes I know but my experience has been that they don't return phone calls. I had an issue with a prescription there about 18 months ago & I am still waiting for a call. I will spend my money somewhere else even though Walgreen's is closer.
Surely you jest! After over 60 years of being a staunch Walgreen customer beginning back at Northwestern University, you summarily booted me out the door along with thousands of others over a dispute with Express Script. Today, a mailer invited me to :rejoin your happy family and renew our relationship." Not a chance! Your recent business model will be taught in business schools for years to come as a perfect example in how to lose customers and alienate the public. I had been increasing my shopping over the years as you expanded your lines. It was not merely pharmacy items but a growing list of household products.I suspect you lost several millions in sales as a result of your ill conceived move, so now you want me back. See you across the street at CVS.
I finally worked enough extra hours at work to be able to buy my fiancé some a gift card to buy some clothes. I realized that the hundred dollars I had saved was really not enough to buy a lot of clothes, so I wasn't sure which store to choose, so he could get enough shirts and jeans. I decided to go for the Visa prepaid MasterCard when I finally got to the register. I still had that two $25 TJ Maxx cards (I had originally had kept them in my hand, in case I did decide to get both the store cards and the MasterCard), since my first idea was to get him two of the T.J. Maxx cards and $50 worth of buying something where ever he wanted with the visa. When I got to the cashier, I decided the smart thing to do was to put all $100 on the prepaid mastercard and i explained how i didnt meed the tj max cards...Then, So he could put them back later, I politley asked him to "put those store cards away, and just put my hundred dollars on the visa card". While he rang it up, I wasn't looking at him closely, but I noticed him scanning my Visa, so then I started to get my cash out, and when he said $99.95, I knew that was what I had to spend to get $95 on the visa.... So I gave him 5 $20 bills. He put my card and receipt in the bag, and I thanked him and left. When I got up this morning there were two $25 T.J. Maxx gift cards in my bag along with a $45 visa prepaid card! They didn't care, TJ Maxx didn't care and the Walgreens 1800# didn't care, so I called the corporate office of Walgreens, and they seemed to not care The most!!! I am so fed up with Walgreens right now that I think anybody who continues to go there is a fool because if you ever get "taken"one day,... you will not be helped. Don't say I didn't warn you! And the part that kills me the most is that I firmly stated how it is not my fault that your employee made a mistake therefore it is your problem to fix and make a right to the customer if you are a reputable big corporation and they still did not want to even Blige and give me a gift card or anything that was like a kick in the head .....and I hope for their reputation, that something is done within the next five days (because they said it takes that long to help one little person with such a small obvious issue). This whole situation is amazing to me and it just blows my mind that they could care less about a customer a customer who returns there constantly to stand times of money on make up medicine beauty products, hairspray, shampoo, and every thing for cleaning, and medicating my family over-the-counter prescription wise, and now they're going to lose me, my friends, and all my family business.... If I don't get my $50 back or a Visa gift card worth $50 , because we stick together, and when you do something wrong to one of us you doing something wrong to all of us and I hope that the corporation reads this and knows that they'll be losing over 200 customers or more. And I know this is very long and drawn out because I'm still upset but as my last remark I just need to say that I work for a retail very large corporation myself and I am a manager and when things like this happen we go to the greatest extent possible to make the customer happy whether we have to swallow and take the loss.....not because that is its what you are obligated to do as a reputable store Corporation , manager , store, or human decency for that matter! But apparently they have no clue what customer service and decency means????? I'll post the results they may or may not provide.
I just started using Walgreens in Edenton, NC. Gave my debit card for express pay at this store. My wife went to pick up the insulin that they were out of for a week and was told I was not set up on express pay. Just letting you know that when I go there tomorrow and they call me a liar, there will be no more buying medicine for me at this place.
I was recently in the e.r, I was diagnosed with a severe sinus infection. The only pharmacy open @ the time was Walgreens, Antelope drive in Layton Ut.. Store # 2223. I had a prescription for Augmenting and Lortabs for pain. I work hard for my money, I pay half of my paycheck to child support I barely make it from paycheck to paycheck. I had $30 to my name after paying $60 @ the e.r, this was due to not having insurance. The Augmenting was $85 and the Lortabs were $12, you have to understand this was midnight, the Dr had already given me a dose of antibiotics and I did not need another dose until the following day. I asked if I could just get the pain medication, and I would try to find the Augmenting another place for it would be cheaper. I was told that I could not purchase the pain medication without purchasing the antibiotics, I asked why this was? The pharmacy tech would not give me a response, he would not even come to the counter and explain. I have tried to complain to the manager, but have had no compassion nor apology. If you are ever in Layton Ut, I urge you never go to this walgreens, Lance was the pharmacy tech.. He should be fired on the spot.
i have been doing business with wallgreens pharmacy for 10 years! just this week the pharmacy i usally go to no longer carries the medication i need, i have a terminal illness that is very rare and painfull, well the pharmacy i usally go to told me to go to the one on tyrone and 22nd ave. so i went there and was told that she felt un comfortable filling my script!i asked her to call my doctor and that way she would know what my illness was besides the fact i have 5 herniated discs steosis and sciatica and that way she would be more comfortable filling my scropt thank you timothy dudley
At 9:30am I attempted to submit a new script via the drive- thru pneumatic tube system at 95th and Book, Naperville, IL. There was no canister available for my usage and I was told that they "were busy assisting other customers". So after a two minute wait I took my script inside and was told by the pharmacist that they couldn't let people submit scripts without getting additional information. I asked if this is a new policy and received double speak as to why this is so. At 11am I spoke with the store manager who claimed that a canister had been stolen but was working fine now. Conflicting stories, no explanation and a weak apology.
i love walgreens, shop at several different locations in wisconsin. never had any problems.
I have gone from using one store to another due to poor service, and now I'm going to switch to using a local small town rx. Poor service, staff treating me like I'm a criminal when I come in for a refill on a narcotic prescription. Doctor prescribed and verified by phone and the girl still acted as if I was a raving drug addict. They misplace scripts, give the wrong information, and treat customers like they are lucky to be waited on. No more for me.
you need to do something about your employees working and "texting" at the same in pharmacy and on the floor. It looks unprofessional, especially if you're a pharmacy technician. It can cause mistake to the patients, don't you think?
I have experienced horrific service at 2 of the 2 Walgreen I have had the unfortunate need to utilize. They do not practice confidentiality. I'm not sure they even know what HIPPA is. When I have questioned the practice in it's relation to myself I have been lied to, treated with their self defense and no admission of error or recognition of need to make changes. The pharmacists tell me it is at their discretion for when a medication can be picked up so one will tell you come in one day and when I WALK in that day another tells me it's HIS prerogative to have me come in another day.So I don't drive, I have to walk. I am going to a pharmacy that will deliver and is not one of the MOST expensive and sarcastic in the nation.
You have a manager at one of your stores in west palm beach fl his name Poindexter L.Barrett. He is a wife beater. I have been a life long Walgreens customer. Recently I have been saddened by the removal of the Deans quart sized half & half. I find myself going to Walmart more and more. Please return Deans half & half so this loyal customer can return on a regular basis.
i've been getting my prescription filled for two years + and now, they told me they can no longer fill my prescription because the DEA said i had to be going to a doctor close by them, well, i called the DEA and they said that is false!!! They never made this a rule...walgreens always calls my doctor before they fill my prescription, and its always varified, so whats the problem? The way i look, because they are LIARS, I CHECKED IT FOR MYSELF. I'VE NEVER GIVEN THEM A PROBLEM, YET THEY ALWAYS FIND ONE FOR ME.. THEY ARE RUDE AND CALL OUT MY PRIVATE MEDICATION OUT LOUD SO THAT EVERYONE CAN HEAR IT...I'D LIKE TO KNOW WHAT TO DO ABOUT THIS, I'M LOOKING FOR LAWYERS, BECAUSE I READ THAT THEY ARE SUPPOSE TO FIND ANOTHER STORE THAT WILL CARRY IT FOR ME, I GO TO EMORY CRAWFORD LONG, NOT SOME HOLE-IN-THE-WALL DOCTOR'S OFFICE..AND THEY TREAT ME LIKE I'M A CRIMINAL...I'D LOVE TO KNOW WHAT TO DO...IF SOMEONE HAS SOME ADVICE FOR ME, CALL ME PLEASE, I CAN'T FIND ANYWHERE TO GET IT FILLED, IT'S METHADONE 10MG....THEY TREAT ME LIKE I'M A HEROIN ADDICT, BUT IM ILLERGIC TO CODINE AND THIS IS WHAT THEY GAVE ME, AND PHARMACYS TREAT ME THE SAME EXCEPT FOR CVS, EXCEPT THEY'VE BEEN OUT NEARLY A MONTH!!! IM FREAKING OUT, AN I DON'T KNOW WHERE TO GO....MY NUMBER IS; 678-964-0970 SOME ONE HAVE ANY ADVICE!!! IM LOOKING FOR A LAWYER RIGHT NOW AS SOON AS I FINISH WRITING THIS...
This was the last draw for my business. I have been putting up with the incompetence for too long at your store in Hudson, Florida on State road 52 off Majestic. I have complained to the manager about the service in your pharmacy department but it never does any good. Your tech.in that store Any told my they can't order my prescription and haven't been able to for several months. I got it there two months ago and they ordered it. Last month i.e. called for a refill for another medication was told it would be ready in an hour and when I got there they told me it couldn't bee filled yet. No phone call to let me know that. The excuse was there operator service says that a lot but there is a disconnect between them and the store. I d.on't think that should be at my expense. Throughout the time being a customer their it hasbeen one thing or another every month. Today after I told Any that they had always ordered it before, I said fine just let me have the prescription that is ready. She then asked for my drivers license. I know for a fact she does not need to see it and she has never asked before. She was giving me a hard time because I corrected her on the other prescription. She said she always asks for id which I know is untrue because
I went to the walgreens at Massey and poplar and have never met a more rude bunch of employees in my life. I am an employee of walgreens myself from an hour and a half away and was going to get some photos printed and the man working over there said he couldn't copy of a photo which they couldn't copy which was fine but he was so rude about it then when I asked for the store number the man at the front register was rude as well. I've never been more ashamed of walgreens in my life.
I'm 57 years old and I have a past history of the shingles. I went to Walgreens in Cantonment,Fl. to ask a pharmacist If I could have the shingles shot. I have a history of shingles and wasn't sure if would be ok to take the vaccine for the price. The pharmacist was rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional. She walked away from me and made it very clear that was too busy to answer my question. I went to Publix. The pharmacist there was friendly & answered my question. Pharmacist like Jennifer should not be allowed to work in a pharmacy around medication. My wife and I will not use Walgreens Pharmacy for anything.
Just a note to thank you for the outstanding service and attention we received from Tim Magarian, phamacist at the Walgreens in Sartell, Minnesota. He has gone above and beyond the call of duty to help educate us on sound preventive health. He takes time to explain each prescription and how it should effect us. We never dreamed that someone like Tim would take such an interest in our health. Your company should be extremely proud of having him in your organization. We will continue to tell people about this fine store and its thoughtful employees. Jack and Suzanne Toftey
Walgreens Discriminates against disabled vets, by not accepting the I.D. Cards issued by the V. A. for medical treatment. I am 80% disabled and receive a pension every month from the V.A. and Walgreens will not accept my ID. Card for discounts. They will accept your I.D. card if your right out of boot camp, because your active military !! All disabled Vets should by-pass Walgreens and go to another pharmacy for any of their needs. Maby this is why the V.A. sends me to Rite Aid for my pharmacey needs if the V.A. cannot fill my meds right away. Phooy on Walgreens, I intend to shop elswhere.!! Oh, by the way, I served with the 3rd Marine Battalion in country, in jungle Vietnam and have 13.8 years service (U.S.N.) I hope some one from Walgreens reads this, but they probably will not and if they do, they probably do not care about complaints from what I have read.!!
