i was disgusted with the commercial showing a dog and a grandmother licking the same spoon. I hope it will not inspire kids to try to do the same thing.
Both of my children were on antibiotics for 2 different things. 2 weeks later and 4 trips to the er i found out they got " faulty meds" walgreens was of no help. my child had 105 fever and the other severe ear infection. i think a call to a lawyer is for sure in order.
Walgreens in Dunwoody GA is rude and under staff Ive been waiting for a pharmacy tech to reissue my insurance cards and prescriptions and its taking 20 mins to locate them. Their excuss to customersis that someone miss filed paper work or enter in the wrong information.
WALGREEN EMPLOYEES IN SHEBOYGAN ARE SO RUDE TO PEOPLE WHO COUPONS!
Re: My reciept from Walgreens Iron Mt. Mi. 49801 how are we doing monthly sweepstacks. After filling out the survey they ask for name and address and filling out address by my state (Wisconsin) it said sorry not a valid address which was filled out with my correct mailing address in Florence,Wisconsin 54121,Which is about 15 miles from Iron Mt. MI. Therefore I could not complete my entry. I called the Walgreens number (1-800-Walgreens) and talked to at least four different people who all said they did not know the answer and would transfer me to someone else until I gave up.
here is why i am at target pharmacy now. my local walgreens corner walnut and central has a i dont care attitude. when my wife could not get her asthma inhaler meds by the weekend after making a request on wednesday, we were we are out no notification, no help in locating the meds told us to BAD IT YOUR PROBLEM MIGHT HAVE IT NEXT WEEK. PEOPLE WILL HEAR ABOUT THIS. this was the third time this has happened. i WILL NEVER return to a store that has such a blatant disreguard for its customers john oldengarm
My rating is only for the poor taste exhibited by your commercial where the dog licks the spoon, then the grandma licks it. Disgusting...makes me want to vomit every time I see that commercial. Nothing about that commercial screams "get your flu shot at Walgreens" to me! YUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I really do not know if this will get to the right place---However, I must tell someone about a GREAT experience I had yesterday afternoon!!! I live in Holland , Michigan and needed some help for getting some items that I had purchased in the past.. FINALLY, I contacted Walgreens on Reily. A lady named Kristen was SO KIND AND HELPFUL. I did go in to the store about 3:30 or so and Kristen and the MANAGER on duty were WONDERFULLY HELPFUL. The manager told me if ever I needed help they would help me.They took a LOT of time to get what I needed--and, I hope that this will get to the right place to give them the PRAISE that they earned form me yesterday afternoon. THANKFULLY, Janet Southwell 1254 St Andrews Drive Holland, Michigan 49423

In Tucson, the 22nd and Alvernon clerk Billie claimed I was intoxicated. I had taught my class at the local college and then went and did my laps at the pool and stopped in to get a 12 pack to save some money. I asked why she thought I was intoxicated and she said I slurred my words. I do talk somewhat slow but that is just the way I am. I tank that is discrimination. Also, what credentials do they have for making that determination? I was quite embarrassed. I went to the Walgreens down the street and had no Problem?????

I've had the worst experience in my life with my so called neighborhood walgreens on the corner of hudson ave. & highway 19 in Hudson,fl. I'm sooooo tired & pissed off with pharmacist & tecs playing God with my medications !!!! I was almost killed in a car accident and had to have a lower lumbar spinal fusion performed on my lower back. I'm in constant agonizing pain and have been getting all medications from walgreens. Earlier this week I brang in one of my pain medications to be filled, they did not have enough to fill script so called doctor to see if he could chang amount to what they had in stock. Dr. Refused saying the patient need all of the medication as perscribed. Head pharmacist Jacki who spoke to doctor to verify said no problem come back on Friday. I go in first jacki says this she has the medication and to come back in half hour so when I return she REFUSED to fill script the Doctor doesn't know what he's doing and is over prescrbing. I've been on this medication since 2009. Since when do pharmacist have the right to question OUR DOCTORS. This pharmacist is barely out of school who the hell is she to undermind a well respected Doctor treating patients over 45yrs. This is soooooo wrong on so many different levels. So here I sit bedridden unable to sleep due to agonizing pain. THANKS WALGREENS and HEAD PHARMASIST JACKI so much for giving customer satisfaction !! I've contacted my laywer who will be filling alawsuit. This is an outrage & complete disgrace !! WHO DIED AND LET THEM PLAY GOD !!! If you would like to join me in my fight please contact me at thomasgiallanza@gmail.com. I would like any feedback on this matter.
In January of 2012, I chose to take my pharmacy business at Walgreens elsewhere due to poor customer service and communication. I found a nice local pharmacy that had wonderful customer service. Then in August, Walgreens bought out the pharmacy that I had chosen, and my file was apparently part of the buyout because I was transferred automatically without even notifying me until after the fact. So I decided to give them another chance. The first time I called them for a refill, they verified my insurance company information, took the refill order, checked and told me that it was good with the insurance company and would be ready in a little over an hour. Twenty minutes later, a machine called to tell me there was a problem with my order and they were contacting my insurance company. They would call me back when the problem was cleared up. The next day, I had not heard anything, so I called them back. She asked me some questions about my insurance, and then said that my prescription refill was ready. I drove the 10 miles to pick it up, paid for it, and returned home only to find that instead of a 90 day supply of 180 pills, it contained 10 (ten) pills. I did understand that meant they were short, and would fill as soon as possible, but called to ask why they didn't tell me that it was only a partial refill. They didn't tell me on the phone before I drove 20 miles round trip, and they didn't tell me when they gave me the bag and took my payment. So I was right back where I had been when I left them the first time with inadequate service that was costing me time and money. I informed the manager that Walgreens might be able to buy up all the little guys and hijack their customers, but in the end, with the lack of customer service, the customers would just jump ship and go elsewhere, which is what I planned to do immediately. So I changed Pharmacies, but that didn't end my problems. When my new pharmacist tried to transfer my prescriptions, they told him that he should call the doctor "as needed". I called and asked them to transfer my records, and the manager,Ron told me first that he didn't have the time to be transferring everyone's records(I guess I was not the only one fleeing) and was asking for a little help from the other pharmacy. I asked him to send me a printout that I could take to my pharmacist and after a week I had to make yet another 20 mile trip to get the printout. He said he mailed it and was very sorry that I didn't receive it. Must have been LOST IN THE MAIL! I told him that I thought it was thoughtless for him to inconvenience me, my doctor and my pharmacist just to get himself out of a bind. At that point, he told me that it was illegal to transfer them to my new pharmacist. Needless to say, I will no longer darken the door of a Walgreens, I shopped there for everything from photo prints, to paper products, to office supplies, grocery items, clothing and more. but they sell those things other places so Goodbye Walgreens You blew it!!
Gregory D. Wasson Title: President and CEO Gregory D. Wasson is president and chief executive officer of Walgreen Co., and has served on the company’s board of directors since 2009. Wasson joined Walgreens as a pharmacy intern in 1980 while a student at Purdue University’s School of Pharmacy in West Lafayette, Ind. After earning his bachelor’s degree in pharmacy in 1981, he managed several Houston Walgreens drugstores before being promoted to district manager in 1986. He was promoted to a regional vice president of Walgreens store operations in 1999. IS THIS WHY THERE IS RACISM AT WALGREENS AND MERCHANDISE WHICH LATINS, ITILIANS, AND OTHER SIMILAR RACE BUY GET TAKEN OF THE SHELF?
I to viewed the walgreen commercial with granma making a cake and the stupid little girl gave the dog a lick of the spoon, AND then to gramma mouth. And none of you in the office thought to stop that. If that is ok, then your not toselective how employess treat customers. Former customer!!!!!!!!
why can i not find my medication anywhere in walgreens???????????????? this is beyond stupid. no one will help me @ your call center- every pharmacy is beyond over loaded and claims they don't have it... would you not think that when they fill a prescription it would automatically update the system???? SERIOUS DISMAY IN WALGREENS. am going elsewhere.
I just viewed a Walgreen's commercial that I hope my grandchildren will never see. A girl, about six, is "helping" Grandma mix up a cake. While Grandma's back is turned, the girl repeatedly allows the family dog to lick the spoon. Then, Grandma returns and licks the dirty spoon while the girl smiles sweetly(?) not saying a word. I would never have dreamed of doing something like that to my grandma. I loved and respected her. This commercial is "yuck" in more ways than one.
I wonder why all the Wallgreens in the Surprise, Az are so rude especially to minorities. Sick people who still look at a persons color instead of what a person is really about. I lived in Idaho for the past six years and never incountered this stupidity. And then one of the tech, who was so rude claims to be a loving christian..and then at the same time she never looks happy. That is garbage. What a way to represent the Good lord.....
Friendly Neighborhood Drug Store ? I Think Not !! A few years ago, I entered the Walgreen's on 1st and Tangerine to purchase Prilosec. To my amazement, it necessitated me locating a clerk to unlock the precious commodity. According to staff, it had a high potential for theft. I inquired at the time why they didn't place it behind the cash register, negating the hassle of waiting for staff to initiate the lock and key escapade. Yet another sign of the times, I thought, and accepted their policy. This past Sunday, the 16th, however, I found that Walgreen's "new policy" had taken their Prilosec security measures to a whole new level. After finding staff and waiting for them to unlock the 'over-the-counter' medication, I was told staff would hold on to the Prilosec and I was to inform them when I completed my shopping, at which time they would bring it to the register for me to purchase. Congratulations Walgreen's ! At 55 years old, I was well on my way to leaving this world having never experienced being treated as though I was untrustworthy. Perhaps not the most egregious act, but to those of us who live our lives making certain to give respect to all we meet, it comes pretty darn close. Is the potential threat of losing a few dollars really worth insulting the entire community?
My comment is strictly based on the new commercial. I saw it for the first time this morning and it made me want to vomit. I did not think it was funny or cute, it was rather disgusting. It got my attention, but for the wrong reasons.
