I recently had several prescriptions for myself, my wife, and a house pet transferred into Walgreens. I work very hard, long hours at my job and tend to stay up late Friday and Saturday nights. Last night was a Friday, and I stayed up until 5:30 AM. At 9:08 AM, a Walgreens computer called me to give me a customer satisfaction survey. I had by that time had 3 hours and 38 minutes of sleep. I tried to get back to sleep for an hour and gave up. I am cancelling my plans to go to the gym today, since I cannot do so on so little sleep. Everyone doesn't go to bed at 5:30 AM, but to call so early on a Saturday morning is outrageous and shows the disrespect in which Walgreens holds its customers. They didn't even want to waste the time on me to have a living human call.
I have only been a customer at Walgreens for a few months but they have expeited my expectacions and more. My pharmacacist there was very helpful with everything i needed!!
Store in Schaumburg, Roselle & Weatherfield, employees Donna Boniak & Carolyn in the photo dept deserve recognition for being so courteous and helpful... Would like management to send them a thank you.....
Walgreens is like any other corporate company. They are out to make money! Many times bad service at Walgreens is caused by the company cutting hours and forceing employees to do excessive amounts of work with less hours, not to mention most are paid minimum wage. This boils down to the usuall overworked and underpaid theory. I worked at Walgreens for around three years all together. I know first hand how things work. The program at the checkout stand is called "suggestive selling." This program is usually funded by the manufactures when they have a new product to market. Hersheys, Mars(M&M's etc.) Lays, P&G products, Duracell, Energizer, etc. all fund promotional prducts with Walgreens to be sold at all registers. For every promotional product sold the cashier does make a commission, front register is usually 5-10cents a product. Cosmetics is usually a percentage of the price of the product. Alot of the complaining about employees and managers not carring about certain situations like the woman begging outside (posted by another user) the store not being kicked off the property is because Corporate probably wont allow for them to be issued any type of trespass warning. Prepaid cards of anysort are FINAL sales (posted by another poster) because usually the agreements between the provider and the retailer prohibit a refund because of the increase in fraud. To the person who had his film ruined at Walgreens during processing when it jammed, from working in the photo department for over a year when the machine has a jam inside the machine its self their is no other option than opening the machine and exposing the film. This must happen because there is a JAM inside the machine that requires the machine to be opened to clear the jam. Internal jams cannot be fixed from the outside when its jammed from the inside!! This post doesnt account for all the issues that people have with Walgreens. Employees should always try and be as courtious as possible. If the manager doesnt have an answer always ask for the STORE manager, this is the person responsible for the opperations of the store. If the store manager can't give the answer then ask for the DISTRICT managers contact information. For everyone who is posting complaints on this site, Walgreens does not monitor this site. So no one will recieve any response from Walgreens. There is always 1-800-WALGREENS. You cans usually get answers and some sort of compensation in some form from Walgreens. I hope this helps some of you out there. As always everyone cant be pleased even when the answers are given to them. This may be a reason some of you get treated the way you do at the stores you shop at, not just Walgreens. You always tend to get better service when you your self are courtious, trust me for remember I did work at Walgreens for quite a while!! bye bye
I am on a medication that requires a prior authorization every six months. The walgreens in Rhinelander WI seems to be surprised that they need to fax the paperworj to my DR EVERY SIX MONTHS! If I call to remind them they treat me like dirt. If I dont remind them i am stuck without my meds. and rather than admit they made a mistake pharmacy tech "VICKIE" humiliates me at the counter, acting as if i abused my meds and ran out too soon. Bye bye walgreens.....hello NEW PHARMACY!!!
I had just had emergency surgery and one of my teeth ended up being pulled. After receiving my prescription, I immediately went to my local Walgreens. I knew that I did not have a lot of time before I needed my pain medication and all I wanted to do was to go home and rest. I decided to go through the drive thru since my mouth was swollen and I still had to keep the bloody gauze in my mouth to help with the clotting. I pull up to the drive thru and give the technician my one prescription of Percocet. I had been there before and the tech checked the computer system. I asked how long it would take. The technician told me an hour and 15 minutes. Are you serious? I didn't have a ton of monthly maintenance prescriptions, but a serious pain pill. I told the tech that I did not have that amount of time and why the wait was so long. I was told that I could come into the store and the wait would be 45 minutes. Now, what sense does that make? Of course I didn't want to go in because of the mess I was. I just told her never mind and went to another pharmacy across the street that filled it in 20 minutes. I was not wanting special treatment, but compassion and common sense. I have filled many prescriptions in the past and understood that some other customer's issues are more time pressing than my own and it was never a big deal for me. What happened to the "neighborhood" pharmacy that cared?
I love Walgreens but the problem is when are we getting a Walgreens in our town most other towns around us have them. Our company only goes to Walgreens or Walmart. We have a Walmart superstore but I prefer your store due to being smaller and more personal.I live in Morton,Illinois 61650. Do you have any insight into this? thank you Karen Seitz
I have a complaint about a store manager named tj roscia at store # 11831, he is very rude doesnt help his employees. Anytime an employee asks him a question about a subject, his reply is "dont ask me ask one of the other managers". Or if it has to do with the scheduling his response is ...oh ask another manager, i have nothing to do with it. He has threatened employees with saying things as "your lucky if i give you hours at all "when the employee doesnt know what she/he has done wrong. If you choose to keep him as a store manager thats your discision but i can guarentee you will have more complaints in the near future.
SINCE MARCH OF 2011 AS OF DATE 07-2011 I HAVE NOT BEEN PAID FOR EMPLOYMENT WITH WALGREENS STORE GREESBURG INDIANA. HAVE CALLED TO TALK WITH AN INDIVIDUAL IN EMPLOYEE RELATIONS DEPARTMENT AND AM CONTINUOUSLY ON HOLD FOR OVER ONE HOUR AT A TIME. AS OF DATE I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO TALK WITH ANYONE IN PERSON ABOUT THIS. I HAVE SENT A DOCUMENT EXPLAINING THE CIRCUMSTANCE WITH MY ADDRESS ON IT, PHONE NUMBER AND EMAIL ADDRESS. THIS SHOWS AGAIN WHERE TO SEND MY CHECK, WHICH IS THE INFORMATION THEIR COMPANY ALREADY HAS ON FILE. I AM CONTACTING MY LAWYER AND THE STATE OF INDIANA LABOR RELATIONS.
Walgreen's Pharmacy in Crosby Texas has the rudest techs and pharmacist. I will never ever have a prescription for my father filled there, again. I'll drive 100 miles before I put up with their rude treatment. The Pharmacy manager is the rudest women in the world! Where did she grow up? Not Texas!

We live in Maryland... and my husband's debit card was hacked and used at two different Walgreens in Naples, FL on the same street no less... A$$HO*** I plan on calling the Walgreens and telling them! If there is a silver lining they shut the card down after just two purchases but got away with over $150.00.
Why do you put Starbucks on sale? You don't have any. I have a rain check from May 23,2011 and today you don't have any either with a new ad. You do have Starbucks, House Brand, in a slot that says $2.99. This is in two stores near my house. Melrose on Franklin in Nashville, Tn and the corner of Old Hickory and Franklin Rd. in Brentwood, Tn. It is really $6.99. I consider this to be a regional problem with the area manager telling the workers to put the wrong coffee in the wrong place for the wrong price. Two people in two stores would not do this by accident. The young woman manager at the Melrose store was very nice today but all the excusses in the world don't help when I know the Walgreens home office is aware of the chicanery and approves it.
I've worked for this company for 4 years. I am very upset because of recent events. I've worked in many stores in the Houston area as an assistant manager and I currently work as a part time photo tech on the weekends because I am finishing a degree in teaching and I do student teaching during the weekdays. Well I befriended my current assistant manager, Mr. H, because we are of the same age (26 years old) and have the same experience with the company since I was an assistant manager for a while. Well he revealed to me that he was having a sexual relationship with a cashier 6 years younger than him and that he made a mistake and didn't want to talk to her anymore. Well since she, the cashier- Stephanie Strickler(20 yrs old)- who's ADOPTIVE FATHER happens to be a store manager at another location(Mr. Strickler), didnt want to be dumped.... she threatened the assistant, Mr. H, that if he talked to any other girls she would report him to human relations and he would get fired for being with her. I didnt appreciate that this naive girl would threaten a grown man with his CAREER! Especially in this economy. WELL I took it into my own hands and REPORTED everything to my store manager (the person in immediate command).. WELL after much debate.... NOTHING HAPPENED. That naive mindless whore still works in the same store as me and she even got increased hours!!!( hummm, could her ADOPTIVE STORE MANAGER FATHER) have something to do with this?!?!?!?!?!?! Well I've had enough of this, I refuse to work with such scum and I AM REPORTING EVERYTHING to IRENE PARISI, and if all these "manager friends" that all know each other don't do anything about this, I'm going straight to HUMAN RELATIONS. This is completely inappropriate for a pharmacy and the most ridiculous working conditions for a long time employee like myself who strives to work hard and better the store I work at.
Too bad there is not a "0" star rating, you would get it for the firing of the employee who foiled a robbery at one of your stores with the use of a hand gun. I will not shop at this store again. Your blatant disregard for my constitutional rights shows you deserve nothing but contempt.
I live in Salem, oregon. Your company must hire the stupidest people to work at your stores. I went to a south salem walgreens to pick-up my husbands diabetic test strips and it has taken me over a week to get them. my husband has medicare plus a supplement insurance. i was told i needed to pay $15.00 for the strips and before that I was told they had to get a new rx from the Dr. cause medicare wouldn't pay for 3X/day and so they did and went to get them and they just didn't seem to know how to bill for the strips even with medicare. I hate it that medicare made us go Walgreens to get them. I am writing medicare also. I also was told when I went to pick them one of the numerous times I've been there to get them that they had to contact the corporate office the next day to see if they got the new Rx cause there was any Pharmacists there except the pharm technicians?????!!!! which I found that VERY werid since they cannot dispense medication with out a pharmacists being there??!!!! I HATE WALGREENS STORES.
I just went to the Walgreens in South Holland, Illinois to purchase Allegra, an OVER THE COUNTER, allergy medication. This OVER THE COUNTER medication was locked up, yet the Walgreens brand of course wasn't. So, I took the card to the service center and was rudely told that I had to wait until the pharmacy opened. Apparently, the clerk, nor the store manager have keys to open the OVER THE COUNTER medication. I'm also assuming I would have been out of luck to purchase razor blades since those were locked up also. Absolutely ridiculous!
Today I purchased raisins from walgreens store 2504 in Hollywood Florida I am appauled that I found maggots in this food> My son consumed two boxes before he realized that these worms were inside ot the boxes. When I called the store to report what had happened all I was told is to bring them in .. Really?? I will be contacting BBBeurau!
I was shopping at my local Walgreens-Columbia Heights, MN at 2:15pm today with store and manufacture coupons. The cash register would only recieve half of my coupons. When the male cashier asked twice for manager assistance, the Manager continued on his way out of the building for his break. When the cashier that was assisting me asked for his help the Manager said "Get someone else..." This Manager is obviously under appreciated and underpaid! Why else would he respond this way? A very nice young woman came to take over while the cashier went to assist other people. All my coupons went through, yet when I asked this woman if I should recieve a "REWARDS COUPON FOR THE NEXT PURCHASE" She held up the item I was asking about and YELLED to another employee "DOES SHE GET THE REWARDS POINTS FOR THIS?" They continued to have a conversation across the store concerning my question. At no time was I rude or impatient, I never even made a comment other than my question.I am just becoming a Walgreens shopper and I only wanted to have a better understanding of the REWARD POINTS. The male cashier that had been helping me to begin with obviously felt I was trying to take advantage of the store because he felt the need to state "SHE ALREADY USED A COUPON FOR THAT...SHE CAN"T USE ANOTHER ONE" He did not even know what my question was-why should he be answerering it? Ohter customers looked at me like I just got caught with my hand in the cookie jar. How embarressing! If customers using coupons are an inconvenience why do you print them? Why not put a sign on the door stating, "WE APPRECIATE YOUR BUSINESS BUT YOUR COUPONS ARE A PAIN AND WE SHOULDN"T BE BOTHERED WITH THEM! GO SAVE MONEY SOMEWHERE ELSE! ALSO, WHEN YOU USE COUPONS THIS IS A SIGNAL THAT YOU ARE POOR AND ARE TRYING TO RIP US OFF AND WE WILL TREAT YOU AS SUCH!!! May 27th, 2011-Columbia Heights, mn WAlgreens 2:15 pm.
As the time progressed with the social economic status of the store, there were several customers in the store that grossly imposed sexual and disorderly conduct toward the cashier. She was not given rights to help move truck because she was a woman and then fined for it. The pharmacy said she had a band of brothers who cared for her, no care was shown, but just the door. She was fired on the spot for speaking out about something she believed in with her heart, and when I mean, heart, I mean she cared that people were smoking cigars and the violence of death they can cause. It is hard for me to explain for I too began to smoke, just like the manager told me too. I did everything, and the cause was rejections for speaking up against violence, crime, and justice. I am apart of new army now, and it is to fight for a just cause, one that is beneficial to helping people, not told they cant get their script filled because of the ...... sickness will heal by its self?
