9408 Bay Ridge Brooklyn location discriminates. I called my cousin and my aunt to get on this good deal of water b/c we had so much stuff my cousin had to put the stuff in my car and go back to purchase her water. the coupon says Limit 3. it doesn't say per customer, per household or per group (which i have never heard of per group up until I shopped at walgreens). they declinded my cousin the purchase b/c the manager stated she did me a favor selling me 6 already and it's limit 3. which at that time I had to explain to the manager she did not do anyone favors if anything I did her a favor by bringing customers to her location. I bought 3 cases which is the limit so did my aunt. I had explained it's 3 per household which it does not say anywhere but I am playing by her rules. we do not live in the same household. Then I stated her employee assumed b/c we are all asian and came in together we are from the same household she never asked us for any proof that we are not I even offered to show our ID's. It's discrimination and false advertisment. She then goes on to say it's not 3 per household it's 3 per group. So whether I came in with 3 people or 30 she would have sold out "group" 3 cases. Needless to say of course I returned everythign I purchase that day. I called another Walgreens nearby and the employee told me that the sale is limit 3 per customer. I will never shop here again. I have already put in a complained to the store, on yelp, to the corporate office I will also send in a letter to the corporate office and have already contacted my lawyer about the situation if any further actions need to be taken. in reguards to the firing of employee for defending himself.myself nd all i know will not shop at walgeens until employee is reinstated BETTER TO BE TRIED BY 12 THAN CARRIED BY 6 human life (EMPLOYEES) are cheap at walgreens
I hope people begin to boycott Walgreens until they apologize and rehire the pharmacist who defended himself against armed robbers. He had licensed for firearm he was alone working late and defended himself. To think this company would want an employee to take a bullet for the company's just delusional. Those in charge at Walgreens should really be ashamed. I am taking all my business to Walmarts and CVS.
In conection with the firing of the pharmacist, in the Benton Township, Michigan store, for protecting himself, which is allowed in Michigan and the Federal government, I am transfering all of my prescriptions to Meijer. Your excuse was that you did it to protect your employees and customers. Do you know the word on the streets in Benton Township is during a robbery, DON'T LEAVE ANY WITNESSES. Would your security provisions have protected them if they were taken into the back room and shot. The one robber (scum) tried to shoot the pharmacist right in the store. Also I will not have anything to do with Walgreens and will do my best to tell all of my family and friends to stop going there. earlsprague@att.net Thank you, Earl Sprague
Benton Harbor, MI I quit Walgreens until you correct your firing of a pharmacist who acted in self defense when 2 robbers attempted to rob your pharmacy at gunpoint. My dollars now go to CVS and anywhere else!! Come on people. Move your prescriptions out of WaLgreens Correct your mistake.
I visit your store in Dallas ga.bi was very disappointed to hear the story of the pharmacist in your store who was fired for having a legal gun in your store. He ended a situation that could have had many fatalities. He should be praised not fired. I will not be back in one of your stores until he is rehired and apologized to.
I will nolonger buy from Walgreens. Why? You say the man you fired for protecting himself with his gun was wrong. All I ask is for you to step into his shoes and ask yourself, " Am I going to let this guy shoot me or am I going to shoot him to protect myself". Also, ask a Police person what they would have done. Someone points a gun at a Police person they will be shot. The Police have shot people who pointed a fake gun at them. Walgreens is wrong here.
This is a character assessment of a walgreen employee! Mr. Rob Crosby! Rob has been estranged from his mother Judy for over 10 years. He refuses to acknowledge her or have anything to do with her without it being her fault! His mother lives alone, is a senior citizen and is on home health care. Everything Rob has been lead to believe about his mother is completely false! None of what he believes or has been told is true. You tell me what kind of an SOB would treat his mother this way. and what kind of an employer would have this individual in its employ. This is beyond all common sense, human nature, and all reasonable behavior. She has suffered greatly over the years due to the neglect of her son, Rob, and her daughter Kelly Miller of Austin, Tx, who has also treated her mother in the same way. The bible says "Honor thy Father and thy Mother". What a tradgedy that has been put on this poor woman. Believe it or not, Judy still loves her children! This woman deserves much better, believe me. I pray she will find peace without them, they don't deserve her love. Signed: Her dear best friend who knows the truth, Learn it, it will set you free.!
Dear Walgreens, The store is in Miami on 107th Avenue and SW 16th Street. Night of transaction September 6th 9:30 PM. This is the second time Walgreens has refused to fill a valid prescription that I have presented to the store. My father is seventy years old and very ill. He has between twenty to thirty prescription bottles filled by Walgreens every single month. Last week I was told to come back to get a prescription that they could not fill due to running out of the medication and I returned on this Tuesday as told and the script had not been filled. They made me wait about 30 minutes for them to fill it with only one customer after me and two people working. That is my first complaint for Walgreens today…name of medication Issosorbide Dinetrate. Second complaint is they said, they do not have Percoset in stock. I was furious as to be told I have to travel across town to get a pain medication that is so common and Walgreens should have in stock at all times. I had a brother with cancer who needed Percoset at all times. How do you serve people who are ill by making them travel 15 to 20 minutes to another pharmacy that may or may not be carrying the medication that a sick person needs? I told the pharmacist that this was ridiculous. He said people abuse this medication. Well, here is the thing… I don’t care. I have a legitimate prescription and my father is in pain and needs his medication and Walgreens doesn’t want to be responsible for drug abusers getting this medication. This is not my problem either. Doesn’t Walgreens have a responsibility to their customers? Also, they told me that the pharmacist across town would need to call the Doctor and it would not be able to be filled until the next day anyway so, I would have to drive across town drop off a prescription that won’t be filled until tomorrow and again make another trip. That is four trips to fill two prescriptions. Does Walgreens think, all people have this type of lag time to run all over town because Walgreens is not serving their customers and doing their job? This is the second time Walgreens has not filled a valid prescription without talking to the doctor until the next day that my father has needed very badly. So, here is the question I asked the smart mouthed pharmacist? What about the 20 to 30 scripts that the doctor calls into the pharmacy electronically every month that you have no problem selling to us and taking our money. Are we lying as customers about those too? He said it is not Walgreens problem or inconvience it is mine/ours! And if we wanted this prescription filled by Walgreens tonight we would have to call the doctor ourselves or it would not be filled tonight. I explained that my father really needed this medication and he said it is basically our problem! Wow, the truth! Now listen, the people at this pharmacy all know me by name and normally just bring me the medication which is how I am usually treated for the most part when I am in line without me giving them my name. But, obviously not by the new guy. Yes, Walgreens makes many, many mistakes with our meds, and they almost always make me wait and they make me come back a second and third time because my father takes so many medications because of supply problems and they have even confused the meds and put them in the wrong bottles and shorted us on pills for Lorezapam’s which I had reported and filed a report at Walgreens in the past. But, I have never been told that this is our problem with getting a medication that my father needs, not Walgreens! This is a new person I was dealing with and I guess he doesn’t realize that this is not how you treat a loyal and long term customer of the prescription department. I told this gentlemen that it is just so much easier for me to fill this medication somewhere else! Wouldn’t you? I think Walgreens is forgetting that you are a PHARMACY!!! You are supposed to fill prescriptions! Seriously, I think treating your customers this way is disgusting. You let a seventy year old man suffer because of you legal problems or because of people that have addiction problems and take advantage of the system. So, the people that have legitimate prescriptions suffer? If they would look into the file of my father they would see he has taken this medication on an off for years. It is ridiculous with someone who fills as many medications regularly would be treated this badly by your pharmacy store!!! Ridiculous!!! And, I guess people with cancer are treated like hey, it is not Walgreens problem, it is Your’s if you need pain medication. I am told you will be losing $1000.00 a month from losing our business. I guess that is all some people/corporations can understand losing the Cash! POOOOOR Rating to Walgreens!!!
On 7/16/11 I had two perceptions filled one for 10mg of XXX XXX and 20mg of XXX XXX I took the perceptions home and placed them in the lineup of pills I have to take each morning. I started having issues and I sought medical attention on the 08/11/11 at which time I was taken out work. On the 08/25/11 while checking may perceptions I discovered that they had filled the 20mg had been filled twice so I had been taking 40mg a day instead of 30mg a day. I contacted District Manager for the store at 7221 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL32205. I was told that I would be contacted by your insurance company within 48 hours because I have incurred monetary and personal loses due to this error. I have not been contacted at all. I have now decided that if I am contacted by 09/05/11 I will seek legal representation and I will place a bumper sticker on my truck that says “Let me tell you how a Walgreen’s pharmacy messed up my prescription and what it cost me. no4se@comcast.net” My number is (904) 314-9865.
Your store manager at the Pelham,AL store is a poor excuse for a manager. There is a pleasant young man working there who I have discovered is a certified pharmacy tech but the manager refuses to continue the development of this person by not allowing him to work in the pharmacy. However he allows others who are not certified to work back in pharmacy. Being in management myself my company priority is to developed its employees regardless of race, sex etc. Just voicing my concerns as a shopper. I know I would feel safer knowing there were qualified individuals behind the drug counter. What type of manager does this? Obviously he's not concern about the image of his company! Bad managers need to be properly trained on EEOC and what are grounds for a lawsuit.
Walgreen's will stop participating as a provider in the Express Scripts pharmacy network. This is the network that manages the TRICARE pharmacy program. That really sucks.
I have been searching my area for 2 weeks to find adderall for my son. Everyone has been out, and I was told it was a manufacturing problem and no one knew when they would get any (backordered, backordered was all I heard) I was taking my friend to Piedmont Hospital for a MRI and thought I would stop at the pharmacy there. It happened to be a Walgreens. I asked if they had any adderall in the mg I needed and they said no. But the very nice young man helping me then proceeded to look up and call other Walgreens (3) until he found one that had what I needed, then gave me directions to the store. I usually go to rite aid, but no more. That young man (wish I had gotten his name) made me a forever Walgreens customer. Thank-you so much for that!!!
Racial profiling at Walgreens 420 S Sossaman Rd Mesa, AZ 85208 I was returning an item less then $20.00 with a receipt when assistant manager who we will call Mr.Z sized me up and down and began to interrogate me and ask for ID and the visa that I used to pay for the item. I have returned many items without a receipt and was never questioned. Could it be that my friend who looks like a hippie pot-head have anything to do with it? Iáronáiácalály my friend is a trust fund baby, you know the type. Organic , whole foods lives in a tent and drives a subaru outback and a Gold Amex in his back pocket. No , I don't think so. Maybe I should have never ventured out so far east and left the safety of scottsdale city limits. Shame on you Mr. Z and the shame your children will see in your eyes the day you pass on your gene of hate.
MY WIFE WENT TO THE WALGREENS IN SOUTH ELGIN IL. TO GET TWO PERSCRIPTIONS FILLED THE TOTAL COST AFTER A AARP DISCOUNT WAS $192.02 WHICH SEEMED A LITTLE HIGH. WHEN WE RETURNED HOME WE THOUGHT TO CHECK PRICES ON THE INTERNET. WE CHECKED COSTCO AND WERE SHOCKED TO FIND THEIR PRICE FOR THE EXACT DRUGS WAS $34.50. I IMMEDIATLY CALLED WALGREENS AND ASKED IF I COULD RETURN THE DRUGS AND WAS TOLD IT WAS AGAINST THE LAW TO RETURN DRUGS,AFTER A LONG CONVERSATION WITH THE PHARMASIST HE ARGEED TO CHECK WITH THE HIS PRICING PEOPLE AND AGREED TO REFUND ME $60.00 LEAVING ME WITH A $72.00 LOSS. IF I WOULD HAVE CONTINUED TO PURCHASE THESE DRUGS FROM WALGREENS FOR THE ENTIRE LENGTH OF MY WIFES NEEDS I WOULD HAVE LOST $9451.00. I HAVE USED WALGREENS FOR MY PERSCRIPTIONS FOR YEARS,I WONDER HOW BADLY I WAS RIPPED OFF FOR ALL THOSE YEARS? I WILL NO LONGER SHOP AT WALGREENS AND WILL TELL EVERYONE I KNOW.
I wanted to let someone know that Marquita at the Cottondale store was very sweet. She helped me find many products throughout the store. She was working on something but she stopped and helped any way. I really appreciate her.
Walgreens employee Ran right into my left side as I was squatting down to look at sum products on the bottom shelf. Not even 2 seconds later I was smacked by a big cart, not the little one's you push around in the store. Its'the double Decker of thick hard plastic palate, that carries heavy products out to the floor. If the employee didn't her me say stop, I properly would of have been fixture of the floor of Walgreen. All smarts words aside, I told the manager in the store at the time William< He talk to him in another room, the employee went to the front to work on the register, the manager William couldn't look at me at all. Didn't write down a accident report, nothing he did. So I send an email like i'm doing again. This incident happened on August 9, 2011 around six. Walgreen S IH35 in the sky ridge plaza next to Hester crossing. I did get one phone call from a manager who says she works for Walgreen, she than gave me a clam number@ and said a clam adjuster would call me she's called me and I call her back and forth but we haven't spoken to each other. I need better assistants my neck, back and hip hurt everyday more and more.
I was very pleased with an employee at the Cottondale store. Marquita was an excellent helper and she was very helpful. She helped me find items that I did not know Walgreens carried. I really appreciated her and I just wanted to let you guys know.
I have worked at Walgreens for six years. It has been the most frustrating experience of my life, but I am fairly certain it is typical of many large retailers. The employees on the front line are squeezed constantly: More work, less hours. If a customer complains about an assistant manager, the assistant manager is thrown under the bus. The only way to get promoted at Walgreens is to avoid customer complaints: either give in to riduculous demands, or simply be lucky enough to not have to enforce a company policy to a customer who is willing to complain. Even though it is the policy that made the customer angry, it is the assistant manager who will be fired. Even giving in can get you fired, if the company determines you gave the complainant too much. It is Walgreens policy to not give refunds on phone cards. In most stores, this is made clear by multiple signs stating the policy, on that rack. If you pick up a card from the wrong vendor and then purchase it, the assistant manager has no way to determine if the card has been used. It is activated as it is purchased. This refund policy is the result of a coorporate directive, and it is not at the assitant manager's discretion to provide you with a refund. To do so would result in the store losing (in this case) fifty dollars. Perhaps the cards were stocked in the wrong slot, but the cards themselves clearly identify the vendor. To imply that the card being in the wrong slot led to your mistake is disingenous at best. Go ahead, call and complain about someone who was just doing their job. Perhaps you can get them fired while you get compensated for your mistake. That should make you happy. Most customers are pleasant and reasonable, but some (see above) are obnoxious pains in the asses who won't take responsibility for their own mistakes.
Walgreens Store # 03401; Nashville TN.... I received a prescription from my PCP and took it in to this Walgreens to have it filled on my lunch break. 20 minutes later, I ask the status of the prescription at which time the Tech tells me that there is a note on my account stating that the Pharmacist had to call the doctor that wrote this script. The Pharmacist starts snapping his fingers like a mad man and the Tech says "I believe that he has the doctor's office on the phone now." He gets off the phone and tells me that I have to call my PCP's office because I had recently filled a similar (different strenth & dosage) prescription from another doctor over 20 days ago and he was not able to give me this current one without my PCP's permission. I called my PCP and explained to them that I had received the other RX from a surgeon after I was rushed to the hospital at 4:00 in the morning from a ruptured Appendix and had to have emergency surgery. They said that they have flagged my name and I would not be able to fill this prescription. Well low and behold, I check my insurance information and it shows that my insurance company is cutting a check to Walgreens for this prescription that I did not get! It shows that I received this prescription and is on my history as me getting this prescription. I will be contacting my insurance to speak with them personally, but if you are going to refuse someone from getting a prescription and have the pharmacist play doctor then dont put the stuff through and get paid for services that you did not render! I want my insurance company to have their money back on this because it should have never been paid, and I want this removed from my record under my insurance because I did not pick this RX up!
