Gee, as of the end of the year Walgreens will no longer accept military insurance. When I called the actual corporate office they made it sound like it is our military that is out of line with supporting our troops. Why is Walgreens the only major company to drop military service this year? Join the boycott an ditch the idiots.
I filed a lawsuit due to Walgreen's pharmacy staff flagging my name/account. I was discriminated against, was flagged from all Walgreen's stores within the state, and they lost, I won, and now I am a wealthy woman being granted 1.2 million. I did not recieve all this, but it was still a huge settlement sum. Moral to this story... DO NOT EVER ALLOW AN UNEDUCATED PHARMACY ASSISTANT TO TREAT YOU AS IF YOU WERE A DRUG ADDICT. There have been too many years of pharmacy techs discriminating against folks in chronic pain. It's not that we chose to have this pain, but we have had the unfortunate luck of having a disease in which we have no control over. We are NOT out to have a party on these narcotics. We are just trying to live in a cruel world, a world that is mostly unkind. GO AFTER ANYONE WHO BULLIES YOU IN ANY WAY. Trust me... it did come back to HAUNT everyone involved in my lawsuit, from the pharmacy tech on up to the District Manager of the state. They ALL lost their jobs, and will never be able to work in the pharmaceutical industry again. PRAISE GOD!
Dear Walgreens, Do you not care about about your employees or your customers? I would love you hear or read your answer to this one. Hello Welgreens are you not hearing what people are saying or do not care? Well Welgreens you better start caring and take note AFTER ALL there are a lot of other drug stor people can go to you are not the other one --- GET IT. May be people need to start telling other people and emailing all there family and friends on how walgreens is -- who knows may be people would start going to K-Mart , Walmart and so on and so on, mmmmmmmmmmm may be I'll be the one who start emailing friends and ask them to do the same. Again I would really love to hear or read what you have to say to all this. Just a customers
I live in Florida and been a customer of Walgreens for 6 years now I am 40yrs old and in 2010 I was involved in a car accident which left me with 2 herniated discs in my neck 2 in my lower spine,Spondylosis, stenosis, ganglion cyst, degenerative disc disease, pinched nerve, arthritis in my right leg joint, numbness in my right hand..I see a pain management Dr. now because I'm waiting for Social Security Disability anyways The Walgreens I was used to going to did not have my pain medication on top of my pain medication I also receive 5 other medications, like I was saying that Walgreens did not have my pain medication so the pharmacy tech told me to try another Walgreens so I did I went to store #4481 on Tyrone Blvd I brought all 6 of my scripts to the counter she looked at all my scripts and told me *OH I'M A PHARMACY HOPPER TECH I GO FROM WALGREENS TO WALGREENS I DON'T RECOGNIZE YOUR DR. SO I DON'T HAVE TO FILL ANY OF YOUR SCRIPTS* My doctors name, address, fax number and phone number were on the scripts she could have called him or even called the other store I was used to going to they are right down the road from each other at that time I didn't understand I thought you can go to any Walgreens if they match the address on your license. I found this so called pharmacy store hopper tech unprofessional, rude and lazy,If I would have known I could complain about her I would have..She discriminated me without even knowing my health history which is wrong..
I used to work for Walgreens, but then was fired. I traded shifts with someone, and the manager approved this. Less than 24 hours before the shift, the other person called, but my phone battery was dead, so it went to voicemail. I slept in because i thought i didn't need to work, when i woke up at 10am, i discovered the voicemail and immediately called the store and offered to come in and finish the shift. They said not to worry about it. The next day i show up for my shift and am told that i am "being let go". This is an absolute bullshit way to run a store. In my experience, it is only corporate stores that are like this, i worked for k-mart a while back, and had a similar experience, except in that case, my truck broke down and i had to call in two days in a row. However, i have worked for a franchise Pizza Hut store for a few years now, and dont ever want to leave, the entire team is like family, the general manager someone you can really talk to, just a great place to work. Corporate stores, Walgreens specifically have horrible management practices, just wanted to get that out there so no one else gets fucked over like this.
I was very ill one day and so I called in to tell the manager that I would not be able to work. She told me to "shake it off" and get my butt into work. I had never missed a day prior to this and I had no idea what was causing my illness. Walgreen's is a drug stor, where they are SUPPOSED TO care about the well being of their customers. On this particular day the only thing that mattered to the store manager was (not having to call other employees to fill my spot) It did not matter to her that I may have something that could be transmitted to the 1000 customers whom I serve each day at the front line register! Dear customers... regardless of the fake smiles and pretending concern >>> The only thing you are to Walgreen's is a DOLLAR SIGN.
my girlfriend is a legitimately goes to pain management and usually (98%) gets her meds from same store every month. this month that store was out so he sent her to another wallgreens ware the pharmasist took her script...held it over night than said ooops we dont have that in stock....no walgreens in a 50 mile radius of orlando fl has the medication...and if they do they wont fill for you if you live in a different zip code..so now she will spend her thanksgiving in fullblown withdrawels...sweating.....shaking...vomiting....the works...so happy thanksgiving wallgreens and fla law makers n dea...you are trying to do good by cutting down the high drug abuse problem but are destroying the live of legitimate pain management goers....so wrong of that guy to take the perscription hold it overnigt than say oooops sorry we sold out before getti.g to you
I understand the need to complain especially if there was bad customer service or a gossiping staff. Sometimes bad experiences snowball into a larger problem when customers/employees don't properly channel their complaint. If a cashier rubs you the wrong way, don't complain - its not personal. However, if the same cashier snaps at you (or such) - okay need to get a manager involved. Again, no need to make a scene, just get the manager paged to the front and pull him aside discretely to complain. Believe it or not, this approach assigns respect to everyone involved. No matter what someone does to you, respect (as a human) must be honored and it starts with you (the customer or employee). Now, about being shorted your medication (a controlled substance) is a rare occurrence. Since, Walgreens improved their systems behind the counter - all medications are triple-checked. Still, granted, mistakes will happen because the scales are not set right and so maybe you are short/over one pill (for example). In my experience, all complaints of being "shorted" medicine (that has a recreational or street value) is shorted by the friend or relative that picked up the prescription. Many customers I've dealt with were convinced Walgreens did it to them to make a quick buck. Quite honestly, theft of medication is a felony offense and quite often attributes to insurance fraud. Walgreens management and pharmacists will pursuit these complaints and involve local law enforcement (especially for controlled medication). These means video is pulled and it is verified easily that the medicine was counted correctly and was sold to such-n-such. Proving the shortage happened outside Walgreens. When these videos are pulled and the case is opened by local DEA, it is out of the Walgreens hands then. If the offender ends up being your relative, or close friend - they will be arrested. As I said, these complaints/cases are very serious. And because they happen, Walgreens has many security/inventory controls in place.
I simply laugh at these comments, I work for Walgreens in new York, and I love my customers. Prob u guys need to come to my nick of the woods. U have to remember yes we as Walgreens employees are here to serve you but at the end of the day we r human to. One of my coworkers lost her father and because no one could take over her shift she came to work with an attitude. It's sad but true. Srry to hear about ur bad experiences but hopefully you will come again and give us another shot in the future :)
This store is located on Kingsland Ga. It has the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. Was in store on 11/12/11, no one around to assist you. God forgive me I asked an employee for a price on an item and you would have thought I had asked her to assinate someone. After finishing getting the things I came for,I went to check out low and behold the same lady was at the counter reading a romance novel. I stood in front of her for about 3-4 minutes before she decided to wait on me.She didn't even charge me for a couple of items, she was in too big of a hurry to read her book.Never said thank you, come back, have a nice day or nothing, she was back to reading her book before I was out the door. Where do they find these people? I will not return and I will advertise free of charge.
I was going to write about how AWFUL the sservice was at the Knoxville,TN clinton highway store was, but then I read the following post. Let me explain I think everybody should go to another place since it appears Walgreens staff are the rudest people in the world. I think this post which appears is from one of the Walgreens staff. Please note the spelling and question if it is worth the time to take love ones to a company who hires this class of person. "CT 10/13/11 I'm located at store 06927. I'm not going to write a long detailed complaint because I don't feel I need to type everything. Someone should call me. What I will say is, that, I was written up today, without a warning and told on my day off that I had a write up. The information I read over that as printed on this write-up was completely wrong. I called the pharmacist who was off that worked with me that day and asked her if she had written me up and she said... No? I said, well your name is on this sheet saying that I didn't obey you in that regards. She said, WHAT?? I haven't written anything or said anything CT. She said, I'm on my way. We need to see who has laid here.. so as it turns out, someone has laid and used my name and the pharmacist in a situation that never happened. MY STORE manager will not tell Janie the pharmacist who was apparently "quoted" who told her this information. That is not fare to her or me. This is total BS. I want something do about this from Conflict and Resolutions. This will not go unpunished. I will strive to contact whomever I need to to have the manager and lying employee fired. I work too hard to deal with all this drama at work." WOW
Dear sir, My family makes 95% of our purchases (food stuff/medications/household goods etc) at Walgreens store located at 3446 W. Bal Rd, Aanaheim 92804, as your company is very reliable. Staff is well qualified, courteous and helpful. All products are top class. However, there is one product which we bought yesterday and have found substandard..Pistachios..sea salt..item 288545 which are of poor quality. Hope the Purchase Directors could look into it and purchase better quality pistachios. Tks. Des Khurana, W. Green Tree Cir. Unit B, Anaheim, CA 92804 Tel: 714-952 2548
For the second time in a 6 month period, Walgreens shorter me 30 of 60 Vyvanse capdules. Vyvanse is a controlled substance which requires a triplicate rx, and is supposed to be handled as such. I have been on the medication for about 3 years, and my rx has been filled at Walgreens since day one. The first time this occurred was May of 2011. I called the pharmacy. The woman claimed their inventory was accurate (no overages) but condescendingly said she would believe me this time only but thay she was flagging the acct so that techs would be double checking quantities. It upset me that I was being treated as if I were trying to pull a fast one... First of all, there is no way they would have given me 30 pills of a controlled substance had there not been an overage ( not legal), so I know she was lying about that. She would rather try to make me feel as if I were to blame or like I was being treated with suspicion than admit and apologize for the mistake. I was angry. But, since I had been filling the rx there for so long, I continued to use walgreens. Today when taking my daily medication I noticed my pills were running low... I had just picked up the Rx a week before to the day. I counted the pills and calculated the # taken so far only to find a sum of 30 instead of 60. I called the pharmacy. Luckily, the pharmacist on duty today is one who has always provided accurate, honest, and friendly service. He checked the inventory and confirmed they were over by the amt I claimed to be missing, and is correcting it. What concerns me is that the pharmacy staff is not being more dilegent about ensuring accuracy where a controlled substance is concerned. I would not be able to get a new rx should they claim to have an accwurate stock count, and you cannot stop taking a medication like this without serious repricussions. Don't you think if we as patients are required to pick up a triplicate rx in person from our Dr each month, have our license photocopied at that time, sign the photocopy, and show ID and sign for the rx, the pharmacy should be diligent in ensuring thee rx is filled accurately?
I was really surprised to learn that people should be fired for their personal relationships that have no bearing on working for Walgreens. And, am I the only one here who can read? All these complaints that are demanding answers, threats of lawsuits, personal contact information, and none of the idiots could read the bold lettering that CLEARLY state this is NOT to be used to contact Walgreens! Get real people.
i am writing this complaint because of the poor leadership at store 01214,i never in my life ever experience such unethical and mishandling of employees private infomation, personal info... if it happens behind office doors best belieave bout time your day ends everyone on staff and coworkers knows about it violating all rights and policies...
I would give you my full name, but I am fearful of reprisal actions against my father who still buys his medications at this particular store (on the corner of Fairfield Ave. and Park Ave. in Bridgeport CT. This store needs security present inside the store well as outside. The entrance to the store is frequently lined with pan-handlers. It is extremely irritating to have to defend yourself just because you refuse to give money to drug users and hustlers from the street. But here is what really got me all upset: There were four customers in line and some guy in front of everyone in line and the young man at the register (blue shirt and his name begins with the letter "M"...couldn’t quite make out the rest of the name) took care of him before the other people in line. I said something to the CSR, but he ignored me and kept on taking care of the person who seemed to be an acquaintance. Isn't it bad enough to be accosted at the entrance of your store, do we have to put up with this sort of behavior inside? This incident occurred on the evening of 10-15-11 at approximately 9am or so. I will encourage my father to go elsewhere. This isn't my first bad experience at this store. I spoke with another employee of the store and he didn't seem much interested in listening to what I had to say. I wanted to speak with the manager, but I'm sure it wouldn't have done any good as well. It also wouldn't hurt to hire someone to mop the floor; it was visibly dirty. The place wasn’t kept. Disgusting situation!! Lou P
i entered an instant win game online from mars candy bars and i won 2 coupons for a free dove bar(just pay sales tax .14 cents) i tried to redeem them at walgreens in richmond va and the manager told me that mars made a mistake in printing the coupons, the coupon shoulve said buy one get one free, this is an instant win game that gives 400 candy bars out a day Dove get pampered iwg the manager would not honor them.THEY WERE NOT PRINTED OFF THE COMPUTER, THEY WERE SENT FROM THE COMPANY (MARS)THIS IS THE MOST ridiculous thing i have ever heard

On more than one occasion I have been to the pharmacy at the Walgreens located on E. 18th street, in Oakland, CA. Each time, I have had the un-pleasant experience of waiting for an extended period of time while the prescription is being prepared. On all occasions, I knew the Doctor's office had called the prescription far in advance of my arrival, and yet each time I was told that it had just been received. Today, I was told the prescription had just been received, when in fact the Dr.'s office had sent it the night before. Mind you, I arrived at the pharmacy at 11:00 a.m. After, waiting for 25 minutes, watching others come and go, I then asked the store manager if this was normal to wait this long, and he said" yes sometimes", then he asked for the name and went to the counter to asked that I be served. At this time, the Young lady said, oh I have it right here, calls me to the counter and tells me that they only have half of the order in stock, the other portion will be in tomorrow. I was picking up medication for a very sick friend, and this is the only reason that I come to this particular store. I have horrible experiences every time I go to this pharmacy, the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE ONE CAN EXPERIENCE, AND IT IS UN-CHANGING!!!! I frequent other Walgreen stores and I am happy to say I do not experience the same type of service. I wonder if the fact that this particular store happens to be in a urban area, where the clients are basically minorities, has anything to do with the very bad service!
your store locared at 4th St And 77 Ave, in St. Petersburg Fl. is responsible for my mothers life threatening condition. She is 54 yrs old,has SLE. sever crippling arthritus degenerative disc disease many other painful conditions. she has a rhumatologist a family MD an orthopedic, an internal medicine. etc. She has gone to the same pain management physician for over a year and has had her perscriptions filled at walgreens for over 20 years. She is on many other medications other than oxycodone. She went into this store after the new pharmacist was hired and since she was treated so rudely by this woman my mom complained to your corporate office and made a complaint. she was assured someone would call her back. she got NO CALL from district or corporate. her doctor percribed another perscription FOR PAIN and my mom got hives and had severe swelling. She was treated for her hives, given another perscription for swelling. SHE WENT TO 2 OF YOUR STORES AND SHOWED THEM HER CONDITION AND SHE WAS LIED TO AGAIN. She was told that both stores have not had this medicine since before Thanksgiving and they did not fill her perscription for oxycodone..YET HER NEIGHBOR HAD HER PERSCRIPTION FILLED FOR THE SAME DRUG AND SAME AMOUNT 30 minutes later at the same store. My mom was with her in the car when she dropped it off. I know your store is discriminating against my mom and I have all her medical records and I know there is something that can be done. My mother hasnt long to live and you people have no right treating her this way!THIS FLARE UP IS ONE OF THE WORST SHE HAS HAD IN YEARS AND I PRAY MY MOM DOESNT DIE. Shame on you. Shame on All of you!
