I went into a walgreen's located at 10620 S. Halsted in Chicago IL, which is on the southside. I went to pick up my prescription and the pharmacy was closed. I was very upset because I needed my medication. I stood in front of the pharmacy utterly confused when a walgreen's associate by the name of Barbara approached me asking if I was ok. I proceeded to tell the Walgreen's associate Barbara what my problem was concerning my medication. Barbara Quickly stepped in and gave me the address and telephone number to call and have my prescription transfered to a nearby Walgreen's. I am forever greatful to Barbara the associate and her willingness to go above and beyond the call of duty to help me. Thanks to Barbara she deserves employee of the month and a raise. Whenever I shop at Walgreens I will look for Barbara to assist me with my needs. Thanks Walgreen's for your kind customer service associates.

WORST RETAIL DRUG STORE, WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE REFUSE TO HANDLE COMPLAINTS, REPRESENTATIVES ARE TRAINED TO SAY " WE WILL HAVE SOMEONE CALL YOU BACK IN TWO DAYS" and they don't call back. As far as getting in touch with a corporate office it is a joke

Today i recieved a letter in the mail signed by some shmuck at corporate saying "we will no longer serve you as a customer" " we regret that our service levels are less than you expect, despite our staff's best efforts to serve you. It appears that no favorable dialogue can be maintained." What is this crap? I mean seriously,I believe this is due to the fact that i called to see if my perscriptions were in stock, i was told yes. I then drove 30min to this walgreens in jacksonville FL, just for them to tell me that in reality they do not have my perscriptions. This was not the first time this has happened and to say the least I was pissed. I mean gas prices are high and i have to work constantly just to get by in this economy. I had to drive an hour out of my way and waste money on gas and pollute the ozone just a little bit more for nothing. well I hope you are happy mrs. Jennifer Stone- consumer relations representative. The corporate machine made you write somebody you dont even know to tell them that they cannot fill at walgreens for reasons unknown to you. sounds to me like your just the errand girl for the big guys. YOU WILL BE HEARING FROM ME SOON!

This is regarding the pharmacy department at Walgreens in Carlstadt, New Jersey. They have the WORST pharmacy department I've ever seen. Every time you drop off a prescription you have to wait in a line for around 20 minutes or more and then wait in the line again to pick it up. They ask if you want to wait, but never call your name when it's ready. I was in there on Wed. March 2 a little after 6:00 pm and did not get out until around 7:30. When I complained to the Assistant Manager and told her how ridiculous it is to wait on a long line to pick up your prescription when you're sitting right there and they could have called out name, she said "sorry, but that's the way it is". There was only one person taking the prescriptions and giving them out and instead of helping the poor young man, she was walking around the store answering people's questions regarding how to find something in the store. Other people in the line were upset as well and agreed that Walgreen's is the worst place for getting prescriptions. One woman even commented that she is switching to CVS because you get right in and right out. I am defintely going to do the same. I'm so upset with the store, I won't even shop there again for any other needs.

ALL OF YOUR STORES PRECORDED MESSAGES SHOULD not be FOR ENGLISH PREES 1. INSTEAD IT SHOULD BE FOR FOREIGH LANGUAGE (OR) NOT ENGLISH PRESS 2.

I have used the Walgreen's mail order service for several years and never had a problem. This year my RX program changed and I had to use the Walgreen's located at 3631 N. Central Ave., Hot Springs, AR. In the past I have used that store for my short term (30 day supply) prescriptions. There has always been a long wait or some other problem filling the RX there. I hated the thought of using them and had no choice to use another drug store. Today I went to fill a RX. I was told that the pharacist would have to call the mail order in Arizona and transfer the RX and to give her 1 hour. My husband had a doctor's appointment so that was no problem. After a hour and a half I returned to the store only to be told that they were out of LIPITOR. I asked if the other 2 Walgreen's might have LIPITOR and was told they were also out of it. Apparently, someone wasn't doing their job if they were all out of Lipitor. Isn't Walgreen's a Pharmacy and supposed to have the drugs people need when they come in for them? now I have to drive 110 miles round trip to try to get my RX and even if I call I'm sure they won't know if they have LIPITOR or not. They need someone to organize that pharmacy! And these insurance companies should let us use who ever we want to us.

Worked at walgreens 1 year some employees was stealing money and I got fired the had no proof it was me and no evidence on the camars I tried calling corporate and the treat me like crappy w

I just switched from Rite aid which was wonderful dealing with my scripts!! I had to move and there are no Rite aids around here!! So against my better judgement I decided to try my Walgreens on Harrison Ave. in Abita Springs..So one afternoon I picked up 6 medicines And they seemed pricey but my insurance has stopped covering many of them. I did not think twice until I signed up online and noticed that the same script was forst charged 1.10 and the second was 23.99. I immediately called them and after getting the run around because apparentely they cannot go SO far back in their cokmputer. So I continued calling this was the third time demanding a refund..Ojay we will do it tmw which eas today!! So after talking to the cashier and many eye rollings toward me I told her to get the pharmacist!! THis woman looked as though she was hitting the bottle and although they found it in the computer they would have to call corporate...I said oh really yall were suppose to do it 2 weks ago!! Oh sorry honey I cannot give you a refund..Are you serious? I bet if I shorted you 22.00 you would not give me my items..I am over them..I will get that money come hell or highwater!!If I have to call corporate or maybe I will you tube my problem and maybe they will open their eyes!! I will be changing to our local pharmacy who can deliver!! I am a transplant patient and take over 30 pills a day!! Peace out FunkyGreen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have had good luck in reporting bad customer service and plain old ridiculousness---the manger always takes care of the problem at hand. I'm reporting this from Corpus Christi, TX

I purchased a dozen of roses for Valentines day and they did not open up and died and i went to the store with my receipt and was told because my wife discarded them i could not get any credit or refund. this is rediculous, I am requesting a refund , store credit or send my wife roses for a year.thank you

I wish there was a rating lower than "Poor". The pharmacy department for the LaPlace, LA Walgreens doesn't even measure up to the level of poor. Droping off a perscription is a nightmare. The staff is rude and quite often takes the opportuity to tell you that you have no choice but to get it their way. It is not a pleaant experience to get a perscription filled at this location.

Dear Wallgreens, I was shopping at Wallgreens and the cashier seemed to be overwelmed by answering the phone for customer service calls. Seems the phone was ringing every two minutes. I wonder if the nice cashier could do a better job if they did not have to answer the phone and the phone calls for customer service questions could be done by a seperate phone answering department? I would like you to consider this because I do enjoy shopping at Wallgreens. This is just a friendly suggestion. Mr. Noh. My email is nattoshoyu@hotmail.com

u guys goin downhill fast, lines getting longer at pharm. and dont have drugs on hand, always have 2 order. not good.

I placed an online order 2/8/11 at 8:08am this morning at Walgreens.com. We originally switched pharmacies from Kroger RX to Walgreens RX because the location of Walgreens was more convenient and frankly the service at Kroger was starting to go south (it had more to do with the time we had to wait for the prescriptions and not really the service). Back to this morning: I placed the online order at 8:08am and selected same day pick up at 5:00pm. First item to note: prescriptions was not ready at 5:00pm for pick up. Upon arrival at 5:00 we were told they weren't ready and to wait 15-20 mins. I don't understand how the prescriptions couldn't be ready when the store had 9 hours to fill. Second complaint: One of our prescriptions were short -- only a partial refill because they didn't have enough to fill it (we have to pick up the balance tomorrow -- can you say INCONVENIENT). This is becoming something that happens almost every month. Did I fail to mention my husband and I are diabetics and order the same prescriptions monthly. Third complaint: We picked up the prescriptions (later than 5:00pm) and when my husband got home we realized we were shorted our diabetic shot (called and the pharmacist she said it was in the refrigerator and the technician must have overlooked it). Here's the kicker: Walgreens filled a prescription that we did not put through an order for and billed our insurance company even though we didn't request the refill. Also, because they refilled this prescription today (when we didn't request it), the next refill for hubby will have to be authorized by his doctor. I called the pharmacist and told her we were shorted the Byetta shot - she apologized and said it was in the frig and told us we could pick it up. Yeah right - NOT. We were just there why should we have to come back when you screwed up. Send someone out with our medication and deliver to our home - we are local and not more than 10 minutes from the pharmacy. The pharmacist left me on hold for like 15 minutes and then came back on the line and said she would send someone with the meds. Next item: I asked the pharmacist why in the world they would refill a rx that we did not request be refilled (I was looking at a print out of my order form so I knew I didn't check that box my mistake). Her response - as a courtesy to us, and because we have to order the BD pen needless at the same time as the byetta pen to get them covered at 100%, they went ahead and refilled the needles and billed our insurance company (remember we didn't check the box for a refill - why because we have enough to last 1 1/2 months already). The pharmacist pointed out that she had written the note "filled for needles too, check on" on one of the rx slips and that the tech was supposed to ask my husband at time of pick up if we needed them refilled. I guarantee if she had asked he would have said "heck I don't know-if they were on the order my wife put in then yeah I need them" (no offense to hubby but he doesn't deal with that. Hubby also pointed out that when he arrived (the 2nd time)to get the medication it was all bagged up and the tech didn't even check for a note). Pharmacist said that she was sorry and again said that the needles were filled as a courtesy. She said for us to send them back with the delivery person and she would reverse the rx out. You can bet I will call our insurance company and check if that was done. We are at the point of finding a new pharmacy - even if it is inconvenient because the customer service at Walgreens Marysville, OH is horrible (Pharmacist name is Sravanthi).

As a former Walgreen's employee I can say that I am bothered by lots of these comments. I will address a few that really upset me: *Dean Armbruster: You left the comment about having your photos developed by an "untrained" photo technician. As a former photo employee myself, I can assure you that we are all properly trained. I was trained for nearly two weeks (MORE THAN ENOUGH TIME) before I was able to work in the Lab by myself. In addition, every couple of months we have reviews and tests to ensure that we are familiar with all of the lab equipment. As for your photos, I can say from personal experience that the Lab is not responsible for photos that are damaged during processing--this is how it is anywhere you get film developed. In fact, pretty much EVERY retailer has this policy. I went on a cruise with my husband that cost over $1,000 and used two underwater cameras on a snorkel expedition. I dropped both off at Walmart and they lost BOTH cameras. They only offered me a free roll of film and stated that (as posted) they are not responsible for lost or damaged film. So clearly Walgreens is NOT the only company with this policy, and you as a customer are taking a risk when you drop off film ANYWHERE. Equipment can fail and if the film jams the ONLY option we have is to open the machine. By the way-film can jam because it was damaged in the canister, or because your camera broke, cracked, or frayed the edge when it was winding the film. So it might not be totally the photo employees fault. *Leah Lieberman: Your store did EXACTLY what we are told to do--if an advertised item is out of stock, we encourage the customers to come back on our stock day. We cannot help that we run out of certain product. New sales come out every Sunday and we literally have people who come in and wipe us out of what we have on hand in a few hours on Sundays. We have tried to prevent this by ordering LOTS of something that we think will sell well, but there have been several times when we order too much of something that doesn't sell well and it goes bad and we have to throw it out (this costs the company money, which could in the long run drive up prices and make items more expensive). If you want something, I suggest getting there on Sunday early in the day OR ask for a rain check and you will get your mayonnaise the next time you come in the store. *B Boyle: The theater candy comes to us SEALED from the manufacturer. If you found an Aleve liquid gel inside of the box, perhaps it's because you left the box in your car for a "couple of days" OR you need to call the manufacturer and ask them how it got there. We do not have time (nor any desire) to open candy boxes, place random pills in them, reseal them and place them on the shelves. *P. Ross: Walgreen's employees are told by our managers that we are supposed to sell the item of the month. If we get caught by the district manager or a secret shopper NOT asking the customer to try this item, we can get written up and possibly terminated. It may be irritating, but please don't blame the cashiers--we are just doing our jobs. Also, our store gets SO MANY compliments on the fact that our employees (your so called "idiots") are always asking them if they need help. And someone is ALWAYS on the floor or at the cash register to help you when needed. If they can't help you at the moment, they will page someone who can. If you don't like good customer service, then you are right to go to Rite Aid. I hope you find what you are looking for there. You are a jerk. People, please remember that Walgreen's employees are just trying to do their job according to corporate guidelines. You should all know that anyone who has a job in these tough times is fortunate and should do whatever possible to keep that job. It is VERY disheartening to read so many nasty comments directed at Walgreen's employees. Yes, there are some legitimate complaints here and not every employee is pleasant. However, from being in many Walgreen's in several different states, I can tell you that the majority of people I have worked with are good, hard-working people. Please keep this in mind next time you are in a Walgreen's.

For many years I only went to Walgreens for pharmacy and other quick needs as food etc. I banged my one account for the pharmacy to another , chain, as it is a total nightmare to get a prescription I have good insurance, there always a problem. Two months ago they had partial not asking me or telling me until I realized after leaving store. They billed and got their money from the Federal Government But I never got the complete script!! As I called manager and corporate pulling teeth to this day I hAve not got the prescription Corp store This took final T

I was recently in a Walgreens store by my house when i over heard a Store Manager telling a pharmacy tech. that they were going to be disciplined for not apologizing to a person who had yelled at them over an issue that this person couldn't control. For one there should be a manager in the in the pharmacy that should handle the issues that arise. Shortly after this conversation i was finishing my shopping and i saw the store manager hiding in the isle outside of the pharmacy not doing anything but listening to the employees conversations. I feel that as a store manager if there is a problem to address it and not try to sneak around and be spying on employees. I feel that this is very poor leadership and this is how a company ends of having large amounts of turnover. If i was an employee of walgreens i would be looking for a good union to stop this horrible treatment of their employees.
