A week ago today my prescription for cholesterol meds was supposed to be ready for pickup at noon. It wasn't, or later that afternoon. I called the Dr's. office because we were leaving town for the weekend. No luck. "It was the insurance company. They hadn't approved it." We've had Medicare & Blue Cross, the same info, Dr., etc. for years. The Dr's. office & insurance offices are closed for the weekend. On Wednesday I checked W/the pharmacy---still no approval. I'd been using some of my husband's meds, different from mine. The pharmacist on Wednesday realised what was going on & very kindly gave me a 3-day supply, saying he would remove 3 from the whole prescription when it was approved. I would like to commend him for his thoughtfullness---the only one of all the caretakers involved who cared. My thanks to him again.

I was shocked yesterday morning 5/2/2012, when I walked into our neighborhood Walgreens and found it empty. NO ONE IN THERE!! Our Walgreens is a house trailer right now because they are building a new store. So the only thing in the Walgreens house trailer is the pharmacy. I walked in at around 8:30 A.M. and there was not a person in sight. I heard no one at all and so walked down the hall and tried to look into the pharmacy area to see if I could see anyone. There was no one. At 8:45 A.M. a man walked into the store and I told him there was no one here in the store and he started calling the manager's name: "DAVE -DAVE" no one answered. After a few minutes he said he would be right back after looking in his pockets for his cell phone, he walked out. The guy got in his vehicle and drove off, I could see he was as worried as I was that the store had no one there and anyone could jump over the counter and steal the drugs. I stood there for a couple of more minutes when I finally heard someone and sure enough and young woman walked out of a back room. I told her I had been there since 8:30 and about the man who had come in and how someone could jump the counter and steal the drugs. She was very nervous and told me that she was sorry but she had to do a testing in the back and that the store would not allow her to have someone else there, but there were camera's everywhere, pointing them out, as if that was okay. I told her camera's or no camera's there needed to be someone out in front at all times because the store could have been robbed and she would not have known it. I gave her my prescription and was told to come back because she had to go back and finish up the testing she was doing. This person again left the pharmacy area open to anyone who walked in, no one watching it. I stopped and told 2 Tampa Police Officers about what I had just seen and how nervous the lady was and how anyone could jump the counter and steal the drugs. But, they told me to contact the Corp Walgreen's Office. They were not interested in going to see what was going on, they were more interested in sitting in the police cruiser eatting and talking at the side of the 7-11. It is really hard to believe that a Walgreens Pharmacy Manager would allow this to happen. To leave a his pharmacy wide open to anyone who walked in. This lady had no idea that I was out there or that the other man had walked into the place. It a person was in a mask those camera's would not be able to tell who that person was and they could have taken all the prescriptions that had already been filled and were right there in front of the counter. Amazing.. wonder how many times other customers have walked into this trailer and found no one there?

Walgreens is horrific, overall and in their local pharmacies. They consistently make errors on my prescriptions ranging from incorrect dates on my prescription records to prescription pick-ups being completely missed to insurance errors when I had to pay full price up front to get my much needed prescription due to Walg. telling me my insurance would not cover it this month and I would have to take it up w/my insurance co. upon contacting my insurance co, they denied any involvement. [I have had the same insurance w/the same walg. pharma. for 3 years!!! [I get 2 prescripts. monthly on an ongoing basis] Walgreens corporate pharmacy rep care is no better-if you speak with one rep to attempt to correct an issue/walgreens mistake--and they sub-standardly respond to your concern-so you then have to contact again only to get connected with a different "rep" who gives you a completely different response- This is the most disorganized and irresponsible company I have ever dealt with overall-and considering it is responsible for handling and processing my prescriptions, It is down right frightening. I am keeping records on every screw up-the date/time and place-where it initiated and every contact regarding the error[s]-I now have 16 different and potentially health damaging and compromising errors walgreens has made, provable in black and white with documentation in writing [including emails, walgreens online chat transcripts and phone recordings] to back me up and before I dump this second-rate greedy company-I'm going to help make my mark.

Walgreens RX in Jacksonville, fl , located at park and king streets. The Pharmacists their are either NOT customer/ patient concerned or they are just not very well educated. For the SECOND time in less than a year my perscriptions that are maintenace perscriptions have been screwed up by the Pharmacist. I tried to contact the RX Regional person and they apparently don't return calls to us lowly customers!!! Not very customer friendly!!!! If Walgreens corporate would like to get the details, then contact me at davidg5555@aol.com

Today I shopped your store on hwy 5 in #05447 3299 Canton,Ga, Upon entering the store I went to the cashier in front and told her I have 10 free coupons for the new Starbucks Drink, That you have advertised in your flyer, How many can I use? I was told I could use all of them. I purchased other items went back up front to check out, Another Lady was there but had no problem checking me out, After a line formed behind me she called for another register to open at which time the store manager appeared and informed me that the items were limited one per customer! Now wouldn't you think both employees would have been told that!! He told me in the future if I have coupons I must speak directly with him first BEFORE shopping! I told him I asked the question Before I shopped this time. He wad really into letting me know he was the MANAGER, I feel like if he is that good why do his employees not know what to do with coupons!! I will never shop Walgreens Again!!!!

My son is employed at a Wal-greens locally and has been there over a year. His "Manager" is not manager, she violates Texas employee laws daily. Her recent attempted has me calling a lawyer. My son was rushed to the hospital on Friday night, he missed work on Saturday. I called 3 times and kept being placed on hold when I tried to reach this Jennifer person. He returned to work on Sunday, she demanded a copy of his presciption!! EVER HEARD OF HIPPA LAW - WALGREENS. I am so outraged and she is completely ignorant of the law. I have heard other employees say she was a bad manager and I believe it.

I called in a a script on 04 April 2012 to be picked up on the way out of town on 05 April 2012. When I pulled up to get the script I was informed then that there was a problem with the script and that it wouldn't be paid because it was six months old. I understand so a call by the Tech was made to my son's pediatrician and I was told that when I got back on the 09 April 2012 I would be able to pick up the script. When I arrived once again I was told that the script could not be filled because the pediatrician hadn't contacted the pharmacist. My son had a peds appt. on 18 April 2012 and I was told during that appt. that the script was faxed over on 09 April 2012 and again on 11 April 2012. I went to the same Walgreens to drop off two more scripts and pick up the first script only it was filled with the generic brand and he requires the brand. I was told then that even though the pediatrician faxed over "Brand Medically Necessary" it still wouldn't be filled because it has to be on original script pad and in the same ink. So I refused the script on 18 April 2012. I called on 26 April 2012 to get a script written from his pediatrician and picked up but, when I brought it downstairs on, 30 April 2012, to a pharmacy to be filled I was informed that it could not be filled because Walgreens had billed my insurance company on 18 April 2012 for the similar script and will not fill the new one. I informed the Pharmacist that I didn't get the script that it was refused at the drive in window on the 18 April 2012. So I had to go back to Walgreens to find out what happened and why hadnt the Supervisor on duty during that time who took the script from me didn't contact the insurance company at that time to reverse the charge, I got no answer. I asked to speak to pharmicist J. R., who held an entire conversation in front of me with someone who came up after me before addressing me and my concerns, I thought that was rude, common and not business savvy at all. She couldn't explain to me why after over 12 days a script had not been dismissed from the system as not having been filled causing me undue hardship wasting my valuable time, gas and money. I pass 3 locally owned pharmacies and a CVS to get treated this way. Never Again!!!!!!!!! This Walgreens is located on the corner of Terry Parkway and Stumph Blvd. in Gretna, LA.

Wahlgreens really has to look at the kind of people they hire, or be willing to put more people into their stores. Part of the year I live in Delray Beach Florida, and I have somehow got on automatic refil, and they have all my meds waiting in Florida, while I try to refill in Boston. The staff is rude. They treat Seniors with absolutely no respect. Before I left the final straw, and I have it here to go forth with this problem. They gave my husband the wrong medication. Thank goodness, I noticed it. And they would not take it back, because I paid for it. Florida has so many seniors and they need help with their meds. Wahlgreens is the worse for that. Publics here I come!!!!!!!!

Walgreens on General DeGaulle - New Orleans, La. I am a bike rider with a backpack. Lock my bike up at the front of the building (there is no dedicated bike racks). Cop (actual NOPD) informs me that he must take my bag as I enter - his words - you may not be a shoplifter but, this is our policy). I respect police so I comply to get my prescription. The officer is sitting on a stool taking with a Walgreens employee and facing away from the door. When I return, the officer has my bag on the floor. I ask him if this is a Walgreens policy. He said it is at this store. When I leave, I notice the panhandler outside the store asking me for money. I also see a two young men fighting in the Walgreens parking lot. Good thing the paid for security detail was busy inside watching my bag - the bag of a paying customer (bag strapped to my back by the way - completely zipped up).

I'm sorry to say but when I went to get my prescription filled for my insulin they told me that my insurance dosen't cover it any more.I thought that they was suppose to call my Dr. for me now I have to do without my insulin.I'll just have to switch to a CVS.I have no choice I need my insulin now not two or four days from now.I hope nothing happens to me in the mean time.

ON APRIL 25 I WENT TO THE WALGREENS ON GARTH ROAD IN BAYTOWN TX....AT THE PHARMACY THEIR WAS THE MOST RUDE AND UNPROFFESINAL GIRL I HAVE EVER SEEN ..SOMEONE MUST HAD MADE HER MAD BUT SHE HAD A ATTITUDE WITH THE WRONE PERSON TODAY MONIQUE DONT WANNA SEE U THERE AGAIN

I am writing to complain about the walgreens pharmacy in Memphis, Tennessee at Ross and East Shelby Drive. I had an horrendous experience at the store today (April 25, 2012) and I am thinking about filing a defamation of character lawsuit against this establishment. I went in today and was verbally assualted by the Cosmetic Saleslady. I had picked up a bottle of bronzer by WET AND WILD COSMETICS and began walking around the store to purchase other things. I was on the adjacent aisle from the cosmetics when I heard the cosmetic salesmans loudly say to a manager that she should follow me because I had picked up some cosmetics and she was positive it was no longer in my hands. In other words she was trying to say I had placed it in my purse in an attempt to steal the bronzer. The manager approached me and she was actually nice and seemed to be in total disbelief of the sales lady. She saw that my merchandise was in my hand and tried to dismiss the situation with an apology on behalf of the sales lady; however, the saleslady became even more beligerent and said I must have taken it out of my purse before the manager approached me. Keep in mind there are video cameras and I had several items in my hand which would have made it impossible for me to have quickly put something in my purse and removed it when the manager appeared. This sales lady humiliated me and made me out to be a thief. I was beyond angry. Even when she realized she was mistaken, she had no apology to offer and she continued to stare and mumble all kinds of things in reference to me. I told the manager I was not interested in getting any of the merchandise after what I had experienced and I could not understand why she was not reprimanded for treating a loyal customer like that. Her name is MARY

Walgreens on Bullard Ave. in New Orleans,La. is definitely a joke I drop off a Rx at 11:00 you never get a phone telling you Rx is ready on top of that they act like they don't know how to greet their customers I'm talking about the Pharmacy Dept. (Horrible) . Then this after I go back and pick my Rx up and I'm told $400.00 but all the time I have a card you not even telling me what's cover and what's not , then I'm asking you what can I get on the card and you walk away not listen to what I'm saying and take my complete Rx out of the system (Ridicolus ) before I can even come inside I must This Walgreen will lose a lot more business you have Rite-Aid right across the Street not to mention they're about to put a Walmart on the same block. Then What you're going to do . I know its conveince but I rather drive to Walmart Up-Town are Slidell before I come back THERE.I'll spread the word don't go to this Walgreen No Customer Service incompetent .

My wife recently retired from Walgreens after 34 yrs as a loyal employee. She was happy to retire, but did miss all her employees and friends. However, after she was told to fill out all the proper forms, including one that issued her an retired employee discount card, she was refused a discount card. This is not a big issue itself, however, the reason given was that she retired prior to reaching 55 years of age. What a slap in the face!! She gave her blood, sweat and tears to that job and to be refused by corporate for a card , which is just a token gesture of appreciation, is a joke. So let me get this straight, a 21 y.o. employee's spouse , who lets say is 19 y.o., can get a employee discount, but a 54 y.o. retired manager who gave 34 of the best years of her life cant because she is only 54 years old ? I am trying to contact someone other than the rude woman we always get who denies everything you call about. I am a retired firefighter who served 35 yrs and know how I would have felt if treated like this. The culture at Walgreens for disrespecting its employees has always been a sore subject with me. You guys deserve better. I guess we will have to watch some 19 year old punk get an employee discount , while my wife doesn't. Hello, CVS!!

i would like to know why i have to pay for medicine my insurance pays when i went to get my medicine i was told i had to pay for it that it was not covered .when i got home i called the insurance co and they told me to call walgreens and ask for the other insurance co number when i called them back and told them what i was doing they reluctly gave me the number but said it was covered and i could come and pick it up.what happens to the money.if they take my money why run it through the insurance co again .then they collect off of the insurance co again.

I saw a co-worker on Fulton and quitman in Houston,TX. who was coughing, sneezing, basically terribly ill. Just by making an observation, she was unfit for working the front cashier, she should have been placed in cosmetics, at least. Both the Store Manager Law, and asst. store Manager Perez, kept this employee in front of the store, in front of customers. I am not a doctor, but I can competently make an observation that she should NOT been allowed to work in front of the store by, coughing and sneezing in front of valueable customers. I realized sadly right than, if you don't care about the wellness of employees, how can you care especially, more importantly the customers wellness? or at least show you care? I hope that Walgreens doesn't get a bad reputation for this. I do wish that something is done of this matter, and that one bad apple doesn't ruined the whole hard working barrel.

I am sick and tired of the Walgreens store at HWY 19 & HWY 44 in Eustis, FL. I went to the store yesterday looking for Tylenol Arthritis. I only saw their brand name, so I went to the pharmacist who told me is was the same, just their own generic and he also told me it was on sale with a rebate for $4.00, so it actually would cost me $1.00 (it was price at $5.00) so I went to the register to pay. Whne I paid the cashier didn't give me my the $4.00 rebate, so I asked her, and she told me she was going to send someone to check for me, the employee came back and said I was correct. The cashier called an assistant manager by the name of Anthony who flat told me I needed to spend $15.00 for the $4.00 rebate. I was very upset at this point and didn't fell like argument, so I just told him to give me my $5,00 back and I will never come back to the store. I live in Lake County, Florida and this particular store hates HISPANICS and AFRICAN AMERICAN, it's the worst.
