this is in regards to the Black Friday sales. the add said that electronics would go on sale at 5:00 a.m. However, when I arrived at 4:15 a.m. I was told that all the tickers had been given out. WHAT TICKETS? I did not see any mention of TICKETS in the add, only that electronics would not be available until 5:00 am. What kind of propaganda is this. I have called the CS line and got the run around. I called the ethics line and was told they would not be able to help me. THe lady of the CS line, When she asked me if she could help me with anything else and I said she had not helped me at all so was not sure how she could help with anything else. Jena got so upset with me she thanked me for calling and hung up. I am not a regular customer and if this is the way that customers are valued I can see why I do not shop at Wal-Marts.

Writing you about black friday sales.Was disappointedwe was there at 12.am to get a computer that was on sale for 198.00 but when we got there thay was sold out and they did not go on sale till 5an. They past out paper at midnight for thing that was to go on sale at 5am. So there was a line at 12am when we got there.They had 34. but started the sale before the paper said so we didnot get one. WALMART OR SCROOGE? I have had the unfortunate experience of shopping on black Friday at Walmart in East Windsor CT. I arrived at the store at 10:30pm in hopes to get laptops for my children. When we arrived we were given a map of where to go for whatever electronic item we were interested in. The maps were not very legible and we had to seek help from many sales associates to get the correct answer. At 11:30pm we went in line and we were given tickets to purchase laptops. It was one ticket per person and they only handed out the amount of tickets for the tallied items. As we were given the ticket, we were told that we had to stay in line until 5:00am with the ticket. We were told that we could not leave the line, unless we had a pass. In the time we were in line, if we wanted to leave we had to ask for a pass from a sales associate, when they gave us the pass they would take away our item ticket until we returned. The sales associate would write the time in which we asked for the pass and stated that we only had 15 minutes. If we went beyond the 15 minutes they would put us at the end of the line or take our ticket for the item away from us. For 5 hours we had to go without any thing to drink or eat unless we bought them, as it was we only had 15 minutes to leave the line, so we could not purchase anything to eat or drink, due to the fact that the checkout lines were at least 30 minutes- one hour long, this left us thirsty and hungry. As the night went on people were taking food and drinks off the shelves and drinking and eating the food. Some people saved the wrappers and paid after they received their item that they were standing in line for. Some people did not pay at all; they just left the empty bottles and wrappers on the floor. People were also taking blankets, pillows and chairs off the shelves to use to lay or sit on. Does this make then display items now? Some people were just lying on the cold floor. In the early morning sales associates gave out to the customers 5 hour energy drinks which are 2Fl ounces. Is this a good thing to hand out to customers???? What about people who don’t know that they might have a heart condition or high blood pressure and they drank it, could people have gotten sick? Wouldn’t a bottle of water been more cost effective and safe? Five hours in line, left us no time to shop for other items, but you can be assured that the sales associates who work there received their items they wanted. As we were in line for our 5 hours we witnessed a sales associate a department manager (I will omit her name) whose husband was in line for a laptop, she was shopping while on the clock and handing the items to her husband while he was in line. The same associate who had walked up to me and said where is your pass? In a stern voice. I also seen TV sets going out the door before 5am, don’t know if it was a promo item or not. On Saturday when I went to pick up an item at walmart, a few sales associates told me when I was complaining about black Friday they had said to me that walmart was holding special black Friday items for customers that night. So does that mean they did not have to stand in line for 5 hours like the rest of the people? How were these people special? Sales associates being rude to customers in line for the item, for which we were spending our money on. Some of the sales associates were rude in the manner in which the amount of times they would allow people to get a 15minute pass. There was a father with his two daughters they were around 17 years old, the girls asked for a pass. The sales associate told them “I don’t think you need a pass, because you girls just went a little over an hour ago, I don’t think you need one yet.” How was this,his place to decide this? The girl’s father was very upset and needless to say the sales associate gave them the passes. The way we were treated was demeaning to us and reminding me of asking for a bathroom pass in grammar school. Walmart what did you accomplish? Hundreds of dollars lost on food items not paid for, but eaten, pillows, blankets, and chairs used. Hundreds if not thousands of dollars lost because we could not shop, because we had to stand in line for 5 hours to get our one item. First of all there was no need to make us stand in line for 5 hours, when you already handed out tickets for the items which were already tallied up,. We understand that the ticket system gives more people the chance to get at least one good bargain, but to keep us corralled like cattle, was totally excessive. We could have lined up around 4am There was no need for the pass and telling us if we were one minute late we would get our item ticket taken away or go to the back of the line. There was no need for 5 hour energy drinks when there were bottles of water in the store. Thank you Walmart for demeaning your customers. Here we are trying to stretch every dollar for our families to have a decent Christmas and we were left no choice, but to stand in that line for 5 hours to get that one item for our family and to be treated the way we were was demeaning. Also for not allowing us to capitalize on the bargains you were offering during these hard economic times. Shame on you Walmart!!!!

My shopping day started at 4:35am geting in a line for an eMachine 15.6" laptop for $198.00, when I was told that BRACELETS (NOT MENTIONED IN SALE AD) WERE HANDED OUT AT 2:00AM. (ALSO NOT MENTIONED IN SALE AD) and my chances of getting an eMachine laptop, was ZERO!! Can you please tell me how you can hand out bracelets at 2:00am for your "while supplies last" items (AND I'M REFERRING TO THE EMACHINE LAPTOPS ON SALE FOR $198.00) for a sale that wasn't suppose to start until 5:00am? I was going to wait my turn in line at 4:35am for a sale that I thought started at 5:00am per YOUR SALE AD, after having what I thought would be a fair chance to get an eMachine laptop, only to find out I COULD NOT GET A FAIR CHANCE FOR A LAPTOP BECAUSE I WAS NOT THERE AT 2:00AM FOR A SALE THAT (PER YOUR SALE AD) STARTED AT 5:00AM. Can you image my surprise when I said to a Wal-Mart employee that the only way you were going to get an eMachine laptop was to be a Wal-Mart employee, a family member of a Wal-Mart employee or a friend of a Wal-Mart employee, and the facial response was enough to confirm my thoughts…. With an “I know it smile”!! SEEMS TO ME THIS IS FALSE ADVERTISING, BECAUSE THE eMachine LAPTOPS FOR $198.00 WERE NOT AVAILABLE FROM 5-11AM! THEY WERE SOLD OUT SHORTLY AFTER 2:00AM!!!!!!!! If you think the way this sale was handed was fair to all your customers, YOU ARE WRONG!! I hope ALL YOUR EMPLOYEES and their families and friends enjoy their laptops!

hi my name is James Beaudet i live in Santa Maria ca. i had the worst experience at our local walmart on this past thanksgiving day. I was told that the store was going to remain open the entire day of thanksgiving and stay open for the black Friday door busters that went on sale at 5am Friday morning and my girlfriend and i were there at 5pm on thanksgiving afternoon so we could be first in line at the spot that your map said to be at that you posted on your web site. i still have the map that i printed out from your web site that shows where my item was going to be on sale and where the line would be. i was the first in line and and at 6:44 the store manager walked by and we asked her if this was the right place and she said " I dont know" and was very rude so i said ok well the map shows right here so this must be it and she said " i will call a assistant manager over for you" i said thank you and my girlfriend asked her is it ok if i sat on the floor and the manager said " No you can not sit down" we said ok thank you and she walked away. a very short time later the same manager voice came over the intercom and said " TO THOSE WAITING IN LINE FOR THE ITEMS THAT GO ON SALE AT 5AM TOMORROW MUST LEAVE THE STORE AND CAN NOT WAIT IN LINE" well we have been waiting in line for almost two hrs now and we were told to leave as she was telling us this over the intercom and we were the only people in line the other customers that were in the store all turned and looked at us and was laughing and made us look very stupid and embarrassed so we started to leave and made it the lawn and garden out side exit and some people that were out side were pointing and laughing at us and was saying " look those were the dumbasses that just got kicked out and that made me feel like i was 1inch tall. we came home and i called the closest store to my town which was the one located in lompoc ca and i talked to the manager on the phone and i asked her if people were aloud to be in line for the sale items that went on sale at 5am and she told me yes they have been in line since 4pm at her store... i got back to walmart here in santa maria ca at 10pm the same nite and there was a line of about 100 people and your manager kicked me out and said dont come back till midnight?? this is not going to fly with me i want a response from you with in 48 hrs or i will send this email to our local news and to cnn and fox news. there is much more to my story but this thing only lets me put down 2000 characters so please feel free to call me email me or even show up at my house either way i want a response with in 48 from now.. it is friday november 26,2010 at 11:05 pm.. thank you james beaudet.

I use to work for Wal-mart Supercenter in Gilroy, Ca. I recieved a letter stating that I would be awarded 450.00 from the property claim that won thier lawsuit. Wal-mart send my letter to my old address and I missed the deadline and the money was awarded to the state. I called several times to find out how to get my money. I was told to go on-line at www.missingmoney.com. I looked several times and there was nothing. The person who answered my call told me that it was FREE!!! It was a lie and I payed a fee to view the site. Can someone please help me.Thanks,'Liz

wal-mart in alma arkansas black friday what a 1st class joke computers were susposed to be on sale 5am stood line 4 till 5am they have 12 count them 12 vouchers for the 198.00 computer advertised on t,v funny it never said there would be only 12 and those 12 would be handed out in vouchers me and my sisinlaw got up at 3am to be able to get 1 oh what a sorry joke i belive sam walton would roll over to see what a sorry mess walmarts has became...... unbeliveable now i think walmart is very shady to have done consumers this way shame on you.. maybe the drive to another shopping center would be worth it with treatment like this oh btw we decide the other shopping we were gonna do we just left ...s.m

I believe walmart did all of people dirty on BLACK FRIDAY! I had went to get the laptop "Emachine" for $198.00, I got there at 3 am and they told me that they were sold out! I ask the lady why when the sale doesn't start until 5am? She said well there was people in line at 11:00AM and we didn'T want them standing there all night waiting. That was truly unfair... I was prepared to stand in line and wait and even then i may not have got one but i would know that they start at 5am like the ad in the paper said!

I would give "0" stars if I could. My husband went to our Maple Grove, MN Walmart at 1:30a.m. for the Emachine laptop for our 3 young boys. We don't have a lot of money so he headed over there early to make sure he could get one. He got in line and was number 43. A manager came over and counted out 46 people and said that was all they had. When people started to butt in line saying they were "with friends who were holding their spot" my husband and others in line demanded that the manager give out numbers or papers with the word "emachine" etc. on it. Evidentially, that is when they decided to COUNT THE DAMN STOCK THEY HAD FOR THEM and found they only had 22 of them for the sale. WHAT THE *&^%? So my husband, and many others, stood in line for 2 hours waiting for a laptop that the damn management didn't have a clue of what their stock was. Yes, that is YOU - WADE SWENSON, you are the store manager and should KNOW what your stock is and be PREPARED to handle the lines when people show up. It is YOUR JOB to know what you have in stock. What a bunch of losers. I hope they get a lot of complaints. I waited in line many years ago for an Emachine desk top at Best Buy. They came out and handed out sheets of paper with the stock number, the list of what came with the bundle, etc. All you did was walk in the door, hand the paper to someone and they handed you a cart with your items. Best Buy managers evidentially have more common sense and know how to run a business. YOU SUCK WALMART!

On the black friday sale of the "emachine" why was it not advertized you had to get there before midnight to get a wrist band, which were all given out by midnight. I think this is very unfair to the puplic. I used to spend lots of money at walmart, not no more. I think what happened is the employees gave the bands to their friends and familys. I am so upset over this that at this time I'll find a new place to shop. By the way this was in Rockwood TN.

We will not be shopping in your stores this Christmas.

I TOO WENT EARLY TO STAND IN LINE AND WAIT MY TURN TO PURCHASE THE "EMACHINE" AND "LCD 32" TELEVISION", ONLY TO FIND OUT ABOUT THE WRIST BAND SCAM. WAL-MART HAS INCREASING BEEN BECOMING THE MORE UNACCEPTABLE PLACE TO SHOP WITH THEIR NEW SET OF ETHICS....OR SHOULD I SAY LACK OF ETHICS....BUT THIS TAKES THE CAKE. AS FAR AS I'M CONCERNED THIS WAS "FALSE ADVERTISING" WHEN THE SALE AD SAID 5AM TO 11AM......THE AD SHOULD HAVE READ WHENEVER YOU GET THERE TO GET YOUR WRIST BAND SO YOU CAN GO HOME AND SLEEP FOR ANOTHER 5 HOURS. Walmart, you have let me and so many down this time. I visited two Walmart stores in the wee hours of the morning (Old National Hwy-College Park, GA and Jonesboro Rd-Union City, GA) only to discover that the stores had sold out of the item that I was interested in. I found out from several of YOUR sales associates that they were told by the store manager to begin selling the merchandise at 12midnight. I'm specifically referring to the Laptop for $198, which was advertised as going on sale from 5AM to 11AM. How could you do this to us. This is indeed false advertising. Rest assured I'm not finished with this little fiasco of yours. I do intend to contact your corporate office about this because it's not fair. I don't know what you did in the "white" neighborhoods, but I know what you did in the predominantly Black neighborhoods. Anyway, I have more to say but would rather say it to the CEO of Walmart. You guys are about to lose customers over this. Is it really worth it? Maybe not to you guys for now, but when your sales start to plummet....oh well.

We received Walmart's advertised ad for "Black Friday" on November 25, 2010. It stated that a sale was to start at 12:01am November 26, 2010 and another sale to start at 5:00am on November 26, 2010. We arrived at the store, which is open 24 hours, at 2:30am to get in line for an advertised product. When we spoke to the sales associate regarding the product, we were told that they gave out bracelets for the advertised item at 2:00am and told those people to come back to pick up the product at 5:00am. I then spoke to a manager, who stated that the store was opened 24 hours and the sale started at midnight. When I produced the ad that stated the sale started at 5am, she told me, "that's just the way we do things." I asked them to inform me where it was stated that we were to be there at 2:00am to get the bracelet. She again stated it wasn't advertised, it's just the way Walmart does it, and people knew that from last year. While I understand the desire not to have a "mad rush" or super long lines blocking store aisles, it is blatant false advertisement to give a ticket to someone 3 hours before the start of the advertised sale. Walmart has just sold the advertised product 3 hours before the sale has even started. Now these people are free to go to Target, K-Mart or any other store to get their advertised specials and just show up to pick up their items from Walmart. I then asked what if these people that have bracelets aren't here at 5am. I was told that they have until 6am or 7am to pick up their merchandise. Well, Target opened their doors at 4am. So, had I been informed of Walmart's policy of selling the items at 2am for pick up at 7am, I too could have had the best of both stores, right? I have been to many "Black Friday" sales over the years and never experienced anything like this. I have waited in a line for 3+ hours and been handed a bracelet just before the doors were opened. This made perfect sense because the ticket to buy the item was not handed out until the start of the advertised sale. I had to sit in that line for 3 hours to receive the bracelet. I didn't have the option to go home and sleep or go to another store and get their super Black Friday deals while my other items waited for me to come pick them up. Is this really the way Walmart does things, as I was informed by management? I'll be calling Corporate Headquarters. From the looks of things, the line may be pretty busy today. Just unbelievable.

I got one of your flyers for BLACK FRIDAY SALES 2 day's before Thanksgiving and I kept it. so on BLACK FRIDAY, I got up at 4 a.m. to go down to the walmart store and stand in line to get a sale item that was ONLY FROM 5:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M., which was a ( eMachines 15.6 Laptop ) with Intel Celeron processor, 2.2 GHz, Wireless enabled, Reads and writes CDs and DVDs. # eME528-2325. and when I got there, I got a map of where things were and was asked exactly what I was looking for and when I told the man what it was, his exact words were (" the tickets are all gone for those laptops,the last ticket was gone just after midnight ")....... So, I then asked "Where on the flyer does it say that you had to have a ticket for those items?",The man did not have a reponse to that question, So I then said " there wasnt anything on that flyer stating that you had to have a ticket and that it was FALSE ADVERTISEMENT" and that " I wanted a Rain Check, He then told me "WE DON'T DO RAIN CHECKS. And thats fine, because in the fine print on the flyer,there is a comment about RAIN CHECKS, BUT NO WHERE ON THAT FLYER DOES IT SAY ANYTHING ABOUT HAVING TO HAVE A TICKET FOR THE ITEMS THAT ARE A SPECIAL SALE TO BUY FROM 5:00 A.M. TO 11:00 A.M.. And it was not posted any where in the store or posted on any door, STATING that they were going to be handing out tickets for black friday. I wonder what lawyer would have to say about that??????????? Also, my husband took the time off to go there to get that and it cost him 4 hors at time and a half at 26.05 per hour, and a $150.00 difference in price for the he ordered from TIGER DIRECT. So I WILL be calling the copeerat office as well.

I am really upset at the way Wall Mart handled there Black Friday... I was on the computer to see when there sale started for Black Friday!I Made plans with my oldest son to come with me ''TO PICK UP THE TV FOR $198''.The paper said that it will start at 5am to 11am, I said to my son that we will get enough sleep the night before, so we can make it for 2;30 am.so that will give us enough time.. When we got there to get the TV they said they were all out of tickets, that they gave out the tickets at 10'00 the night before. I was really pissed off....I told the manager that this is false advertisement. I then wanted to get the ds lite that was on sale for $89.I GOT THOSE AFTER WAITING FOR THREE HOURS.. When I first entered Wall Mart I saw cops arresting people for stealing, they were running all over the store, that's when I said to my self I don't feel safe, I really wanted that TV so bad, and to get out of there as quick as I can, Thank god I was with my son, he was so pissed off that he told the managers off... he said that Wall Mart really sucks!! WHEN WE GOT UP TO THE FRONT OF THE LINE TO PAY FOR OUR STUFF, THERE WAS PEOPLE WITH THREE OR FOUR TV'S, I SAW THE MANAGER AND ASKED HIM WHY DO THEY HAVE SO MANY? HIS REPLY WAS THAT THEY ARE WITH OTHER PEOPLE. AND THEN I SAID TO HIM YOUR FLYER IS FALSE ADVERTISEMENT.. IT DID NOT SAY THAT YOU WERE HANDING OUT TICKETS AT 10;00 THE NIGHT BEFORE.. THERE WERE PEOPLE CUTTING THE LINES AND RUNNING ME OVER WITH THERE SHOPPING CARTS, THERE WERE FISTFIGHTS, FIGHTS BREAKING OUT.. WALL MART YOU OUGHT TOT BE ASHAMED OF YOUR SELF.. YOU LET TOO MANY PEOPLE DOWN ON BLACK FRIDAY.. I WILL STOP GOING WALL MART FOR NOW ON.ALSO THERE IS A RACIAL PROBLEM WITH WALL MART,I DID SEE WORKERS THAT ARE BLACK AND LET THERE OWN KIND CUT THE LINE!! as above the same exact thing happened to me. i went to so. boston va. to spend time with family for the holiday. a few of us decided yea lets do black friday and i went for the laptop computer 15.6 eMachines#eME528-2325 intel celeron processor,2.2GHz wireless enabled reads and writes CDs and DVDs got the same answer as the woman above, i was not happy, we got up at 2:30a and was at the store by 3:15 and no computers all the tickets all 33 was i was told was handed out by midnight, this is so WRONG and FALSE advertisement. the sale paper stated 5a-11a not midnight so now i have no computer that i went after and want to know if anyone knows what needs to be done to get one at the ad price of 198.00 from 5a-11a. so now im wondering if wal mart will make this right or ignore it all. and i will also be calling cooperate office because this is definitely false advertisement, thank heavens i didnt lose any work especially these days but i am disabled and on a limited income along with limited mobility so it would have been nice to have a laptop thanks wal mart for a false advertisement and getting some hopes up.

I see all the whining on this site about people not getting what they wanted. My kids went and got in line at 5pm Thanksgiving night for the $198 Laptops and I arrived at about 10:45pm.after my kids called me to tell me people were starting to arrive. Plus, I had called the Walmart several days prior to find out what their black friday plan was. I did my homework and we all left with a laptop. When you want to save money you plan ahead. All in all we stood in line for hours and hours to get our stuff. It was well worth it as I sit here on my new laptop.I had to laugh at the people who arrived shortly before 2am thinking they could just walk up and get a laptop. Get real. It's a dog eat dog world and people need to plan ahead!So next year get in line early like we did.

AND WENT TO TURKEY CREEK WALMART ON BLACK FRIDAY I GOT THEIR ABOUT 4:30 AM FOR THE SELL ON LAPTOPS AND THE 32 INCH TV WHICH THE SELL WAS SUPPOSE TO BE FROM 5:00 AM TILL 11_AM AND WHEN I GOT THEIR TO GET IN LINE FOR THE $198.00 TV AND $198.00 LABTOP I WAS TOLD THEY GAVE OUT ARMBANS FOR THE ITEMS AT 2:00 AM AND NOWHERE IN THE ADDS IT SAID TO BE THEIR AT 2AM FOR A ARMBAND IT SAID SELL FROM 5AM TO 11AM THAT IS VERY UNFAIR AND REALLY PISS PEOPLE OFF AND THE WORKERS TOLD ME THE LABTOPS WAS GONE WAY BEFORE 4AM THAT IS A BUNCH OF BULL AND YOU NEED TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT
