Starting today, I am boycotting all of your Wal-Mart stores that I used to frequent quite often and I will be posting this to my Facebook page in case anyone may have missed this most ridulous action your management has ever taken. Four brave, quick thinking Wal-Mart employees were fired because they didn't follow "the rules" of backing away and retreating when confronted with a gun wielding man in the office of one of the Wal-Mart stores. Since there were 4 of them and only one of him and he was confined to the office, they quickly took the gun from him and held him until police arrived rather than let him leave the office and possibly kill who knows how many innocent shoppers and employees in the store. I'm sorry that quick thinking logic and bravery doesn't fit into Wal-Mart's manual, but it fits into mine. I wish I still owned a business because these folks would be the next 4 I hired and I couldn't do it fast enough before they're snatched up by some other intelligent employer who appreciates individual logic and heroism! Wal-Mart I think I spent an average of about $400 week with you and many of my friends spend close to the same. I have a lot of friends. I hope you won't miss us too much because we certainly won't miss you! We refuse to financially support any company that is so ridiculously rigid and puts my life and that of my family in danger so that the rule book is followed. Seriously Sam?
I also had a major problem with my walmart moneycard I put funds on it kept it with me never used it 24 hr later the funds are gone i am not wealthy this was my money for bills grocerys and gas now what do i do?? I was on phone with them forever and had to call back several times. I was told i had to fix it myself I had to find the person who did it or the website they used (I did but now the website is shut down!) and myself am responsible for getting the website to return the funds, making the website show proof of the sale, I have to make sure its on a certified letter ETC ETC ETC walmart does nothing to help i did not even get a "I am sorry this happened to you" DO NOT USE THE CARDS or if you do for one item i suggest a gift card and use it IMMEDIATLY but i checked into other cards and they actually provide insurance or assistance for unauthorized use. I never ever let anyone see my card or use my card and i am very very careful with it. I hadnt used it for a month but when i reloaded money on it it was taken from me within the hour. My theory---my info was taken from that reload station from some hacker. I was told it was from out of the country purchase was for expensive jewelry (guess i dont eat but i never ever ever buy jewelry) Thanks wal mart for being so helpful which you were NOT DONT USE THEIR CARDS!!!!!!!
I am ready to stop shopping at the Steelyard Commons Walmart due to poor service. Long lines and repeated reverse discrimination by employees and open harassment and intimidation by other customoers. I am furious, and this is the third time I have been quietly staning in line a long line, and been cut in front of or other wise harassed by customers while the staff do nothing. The store is dirty, and the bathrooms are unsanitory and the managers and other staff are unreponsive to customers and move very slowly with no sense of urgency. I am always fair to everyone and I stick up for minorities, but this make me want to shop at Walmart in the suburbs where I can shop in peace and safety with good service. No customer deserves such an awful experience! Clearky this store needs better management and a lot more cashiers, staff and security.
The last 3 times I have been to the Muskegon, Michigan Wal-Mart there has only been 1 check out lane open that was not 20 items or less. Tonight I was the 17th person in that line with a cart full of groceries. I spent 35 minutes getting my groceries and it appeared it was going to take 45 minutes to get checked out. I left the cart, left the store and will never set foot in a Wal-Mart store again. You have just lost another customer after many years of shopping there I am done.
I am completely DISGUSTED with what I received in the mail today!! Being the True Red Blooded American that I am I was infuriated when I received my permanent Walmart Visa Re-Loadable Money Card because ALL and I do mean ALL of the paperwork that was enclosed with my Walmart Visa Money Card DID NOT CONTAIN A WORD OF ENGLISH ANYWHERE except my name and mailing address! You have got to be freaking kidding me! The white strip in top the card with activation instructions, not a word in English, the terms of the card and the fees associated with the card, not a word in English, the explanation for other services available with this card, you guessed it not a word of English! Wal Mart you can take this card and shove it, I am going back to using my H&R Block re-loadable Emerald Card. I have one son who has done three tours in Iraq and another who is currently there on his first tour so excuse me for being a proud English speaking American where last I checked ENGLISH was the official language. I am writing about the 4 employees who were fired for disarming a shoplifter in the Layton Walmart. I think they were treated wrong and should not have lost their jobs. These 4 people did something so many people would not due. If I was in their place I would have done the same thing. It just show the public that you are in it for the money and you do not care for the lives of your employees. If it were you or your family member who had the gun in his back, you would be the first one to ask, why didn't you do something? I could have been killed. I believe they did a great job and should be commended not fired. I think you should give them their jobs back and be compensated fairly for saving the life of a fellow employee and maybe some customers. I bet the gentleman that had the gun in his back was thanking the good Lord that these were the employees that were there, and not the management that fired them.
Walmart Corporate Headquarters, To whom it may concern: It's a pleasure to inform you, that at the store #0358 located in Alma Arkansas, you have the best crew of employees ever!. They are always ready to help the customers in all their exchanges, returns, and shopping needs. Three weeks ago,I had a little problem with a gift card that I accidentally forgot on the customer service desk. Two weeks later(last week),I had a phone call from the store. They did all the investigations and returned my card. I specially want to thank Mrs. Jeanette Perryman the store manager, and to the girls at the customer service desk also, for all their kindness and help in solving this matter. Congratulations Walmart Corporate Headquarters for the efficient and honest group of employees at your #0358 Alma Store. Sincerely, Ginna Nagel
Dear Walmart- stop firing employees for disarming felons with guns pointed at people's backs. Stop buying "dead peasant" insurance on your employees, so that you can benefit from their demise. Stop paying your employees a non-living wage. Stop trying to take over the world.
Any company who fires employees for defending themselves and others is getting anymore of my bussiness. You cowards don't have to impose your own weaknesses on others. Good for the true Americans that stood up and fought for themselves and others in OHIO. I wish all the Big Wheels could have been in the situation and we could have seen how they responded. DO NOT shop at the Walmart Neighboorhood Market located at 2740 Gessner @ Kempwood Dr in Houston (Spring Shadows) Texas! This store has the most unprofessional condensending attitue that the dark forces of the CIA would despise! I purchased three (3) items, a bag of cat food, package of cat snack treats, and on impulse a bottle of Zinnfeldel that was on sale. The cashier bagged the items but apparently put the wine bottle in a seperate bag. She handed one bag and upon arriving home found that the wine bottle was not in the bag. Went back to the store with receipt and that is where the rude and condensending attitude raised its ugly head. The so called "customer service" lady said she needed to talk to the cashier whom was not present. I asked to speak to the store manager. He came with a bigger attitude, and said "Do you know we are talking about alchol"! In my disbelief on what I was hearing. I said that does not matter. I purchased a product that is mines that was not given to and either you replace it or refund it. He said there is nothing he could do until he speak to the cashier as he ignored my receipt! I asked for his name, he pulled out his name tag hidden in his pocket, "DAGO"! Sounds like the name of a unruly untrained DOG, which is how he acted. He refused to correct this problem. I said to him if someone steals from your store you call the police right? He responded yes, and I informed him he just stole from me! And that I would call the corporate office to complain. He did not care, just had this smerk on his face that I hope fate wipes off with a true karmic lession! I reported this to corporate and they said they would "investigate". This so called manager; "DAGO" represents all that is wrong with Walmart and of the many lawsuits filed against them. Its ok to have cheap prices for consumers, but do not have CHEAP CONDENSENDING little managers with the big head like DAGO!
I from this day on will not shop at any Walmart store. I also am a member of a very large gun club and after the meeting last night all members also have agreed. Walmart fired 4 store employees for stopping a shop lifter. He pulled a gun as he was being searched, he was a convicted felon and he had stolen a lap top computer. Pointing the gun at one employee and was then disarmed and held for the police. All 4 store employees were fired for there actions. I say they were hero's. No matter what the company's policy says!! Walmart, you have lost a lot of my buying power along with 85 members of our club and we will continue to tell others. GIVE THEM THERE JOBS BACK!!
As if my opinion will change their policy. It seems that walmart has more money than inteligience. To terminate those employees for defending themselves and others. The gunmen would have terminated them, and walmart answer " You did not comply with company policy". So people have to die to please the this super store idiot that makes the rules. If the policy maker was there what would he have done. I think as many others would do DEFEND HIMSELF. I think your attitude is pathetic, and reinstate those employees you disgraced.
My wife and I go to Walmart in Bellingham, WA once a month for groceries etc. I believe we will never shop there again. This is the second time we have had bags of merchandise taken from us. We went out to the car after shopping and found that we were a bag short. Now this has happened before but we did not see it until we were home. We went back to the store immediately and to the clerk who of course did not know anything. Then a women came right away and lead us to customer service. She said to go and get the articles we were missing. After we got home and discussed what had happened we thought it strange that the customer service person did not even question what we had not been given. I believe that there is a gang working this store. And the clerks are told who to hit because someone in the parking lot is watching who comes and goes and know who to hit. If you shop at this store be sure to check your bags to make sure you have everything you paid for. Brian

To whom it may concern, The Wal-Mart store in St. Robert MO is a poorly run store that treats it's customers like trash, there is no help to find items, poor managent and if you have to shop at night there are no returns, you can only return things in the day. so the Family Dollar and Kmart are looking better and better. I'm sure Sam is turning over in his grave. Sorry Sam your great idea has become a joke, as your customers are treated less than human.
I just watched a story on Fox News....Wal-Mart should be ashamed! Armed man with felonies on his record, goes into a Wal-Mart store to steal merchandise...The security employee put's his life in danger to prevent others being hurt. THIS COULD HAVE BEEN A BAD SITUATION! Due to the courage of the security person it was a good turn out for everyone except for him...HE WAS FIRED! This felon had a gun, hammer cocked and would have used it! I do not feel safe at Wal-Mart any more, knowing that Wal-Mart only hires security people as store fixtures! Take your stores to China where you get all of your merchandise and stay there! When Sam Walton was alive Wal-Mart was a great place to shop...American made merchandise and he kept alot of factories going buying America! Since he past away, Wal-Mart has got bad! Wal-Mart no longer cares about their customers or their employees...It is all about the BUCK now! I feel bad for the security person that lost his job for a job well done! I know Mr. Walton would be doing flip flops in his grave if he knew how his dream for his company and America has turned out, as for I knew Mr. Walton personally. Shame on you Wal-Mart!
My elderly aunt had purchased a $30 gift card for me which was not activated by the cashier. Since my aunt threw the receipt away, Walmart would not help me in any way. I tried to call customer service. I waited for over 20 minutes and no customer service ever came on line.
To Whom It may concern in Walmart's Corporation: In reference to your Walmart Center in Jamestown, Tn. This morning I entered your premises to purchase a watch. After waiting for about 30 minutes for help in purchasing my selection, I decided my business was not needed, as there was two to three employees standing around engaged in a personal conversation about how others should conduct themselves. Sam Walton would have cleaned house on these people. Jennie Evans P O Box 367 Jamestown, Tennessee 38556 931-879-7231
Currently in the U.S. there is news coverage on a pregnant teen who was given the wrong prescription, and now her baby can be born with deformities or she can lose it. I guess there have been cases in our country where people were given the wrong prescription, people make mistakes, it's only human. But you would think that the news coverage on this issue, would open pharmacist's eyes, and they would make sure it doesn't happen in their store. That's not the case for Wal-Mart, because they let the hospital release my mother, thinking that the prescription the doctor had called in earlier in the day was filled. My mom just underwent brain surgery and the hospital would not release her unless she for sure had her prescription filled. If she doesn't take this every four hours for the next eight days she can die. So not knowing that Wal-Mart didn't have it, which should've been told to the doctor when the phone call was placed, she was discharged. So because of them, my mom's life was put at risk, not to mention what she had already been through. I had to check her back into the hospital. Who does this?!?
I just read the article about the Walmart employees being fired because they violated company policy by disarming a shoplifter with a gun instead of letting this person go out in to the store and possibly hurt or kill others. You really have your priorities messed up, Walmart. I would have thought that these employees should have been commended and given an award for their bravery and concern for your shopping public. What jerks that proves Walmart to be. I think I will be shopping from my local grocery, hardware, and clothing stores as much as possible now. There are also plenty of other pharmacies in my area. Get a grip on it.
