354 Reviews For Toys R Us Headquarters & Corporate Office

This store is horrible. I registered at babis r us for my shower, my first baby so I registered for everything. Well thanks to careless employees who did not update my registry I received multiples of everything. I returned what I needed to return most of which I had no receipt for, people just didn't enclose the gift receipt( probably b/c when your buying off a registry you just assume it won't need to be returned since they asked for it) A few months later I went to return another item that I had purchased on my own but lost my receipt. No worries right, 99% of stores these days can just scan your cc for the transaction, not this store, then I was told I hit my limit on the dollar amount of items I am allowed to return in a year, I have never heard of this, they need to disclose this when you register b/c everyone always has returns after their shower, I can't force people to give receipts, nor should I have to. btw, the item I was returning was a babies r us exclusive, bought 139.99 after arguing with supervisor they wanted to give me 39.99 store credit b/c they put it on sale on black friday for 2 hrs and I couldn't prove that I didn't pay that price unless I had a receipt. WHAT? Also, as a savy shopper, don't fall for their advertising you never get anything on sale for real, that whole store is marked up at least 20% on everything so your just paying the same price even with your coupons that you would anywhere else without the aggravation of coupons and exclusions. sign up for pampers rewards and buy through the online p&G store, you will get much better deals.

I currently work at Toys R Us. To be honest, I like the job. I like helping people and whatnot. However the management is awful. It seems like all of tge TRUs get together and shit in a pile and whatever crawls out is the management. Seriously, our store manager is a total fagboy. He lies all of the time just because he doesn't want to have conflict in the store. The other managers are just as bad. Always promising promotions and advancement but never following through. If youre a hard worker and actually care about people you can't move up in the company. You are the lowly associate that never gets hours, but people actually like you. But hey, if you HARASS people about buying the shitty protection plan and you force them into signing up for rewards, well then you might just have management potential. Except you don't. There is never any promoting from within the company ever. It's always, oh hire the person who has never worked retail for that management position, not the hatf worker who knows what he's talking about and has worked here for multiple years. In fact cut that persons hours. They don't need a job. Seriously, that's how the company works. Our store manager is in the store one day a week. The other day he left for an entire hour to get a drink at the sonic down the road. He also seems to want to oppress my religion, saying I'm not allowed to have Sundays off even though i requested it. If the job was more about taking care of people and not about numbers itd be a fun place to work. However the company just wants to screw everybody. It doesnt matter if its a custoner or an enployee. I've worked there for three years and i make 50 cents above minimum wage and i get around 10-15 hours a week. our store manager almost makes six figure salary for not working at all and lieing to his employees.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Will never shop at this store again due to their incredible lack of customer service and lie to customers. I participated in their buy 9 boxes of pampers diapers, get your 10th box free. I received an email stating i was ineligible for the free box of diapers instead i was given a $15 coupon. Puzzled by this, b/c i knew i had purchased 10 total boxes, i checked my rewards purchases online. For some reason, 2 of the boxes purchased in december were not counted towards the rewards program, but the same 2 boxes i had purchased in february were counted. I proceeded to call customer service and they didn't know why they weren't counted so i was forwarded to corporate. I was then told by corporate that the 2 boxes i had purchased in December weren't eligible for the rewards program until the end of december b/c they were considered "super economy" boxes instead of "value boxes"! WHAT?!! how was i supposed to know that as a consumer?? The boxes themselves arent labeled on the outside as "value boxes" or 'super economy", i always bought the boxes based on the count of diapers and all the previous boxes had counted based on the count of diapers eligible that was posted on their website. it wasn't posted anywhere that certain boxes weren't going to be counted untl the end of december, the boxes didn't look any different then the ones i had purchased previously and why did the boxes i bought in february count then? they kept telling me that it was pampers that changed the boxes and didn't ok the 2 boxes i had purchased in december until the end of decembger to be eligible for the rewards program and they had to do what pampers told them and weren't willing to give me my voucher for a free box of diapers. calling bs on this i then contacted pampers. why would pampers have any say in a promotion that is run by babies r us? Was told by a pampers' rep that it is strictly a babies r us run promotion, they were unaware that any of their boxes of diapers were ever deemed ineligible for the diaper rewards program, and that it was the count of diapers taht made the boxes eligible for the program. I have filed a complaint with the BBB and BRUs response was still that they werent going to give me my free box of diapers b/c the 2 boxes i purchased weren't eligible until the end of december. i am beyond pissed off with this company. they are rude, lie to you, and have absolutely no regard for their customers. i will keep fighting until i have my free box of diapers. i didn't spend hundreds of dollars their strictly for that promotion to be screwed over. i like how they are trying to cover their mistake by blaming it on pampers. never again will i shop in this store after i get my free box of diapers. ridiculous!! you'd think i'm trying to scam them when the evidence is available to them that i did indeed purchase 10 boxes of diapers from them. not only that, but the last 4 boxes i purchased had a lower diaper count and price was raised $10. yeah, i really pulled one over on you BRU....

My wife had earned her free box of diapers through the "rewards program". (purchase 9 and the 10th is free.) She spent $450 dollars on diapers not to mention the other things we have bought for our friends and families children. Well, when my wife accidentally erased her spam email folder with her free box of diapers coupon ,you would think that Toys r Us would do the right thing and re-issue her a coupon for the diapers she had earned but no such courtesy. I'm actually still shocked at what a horrible customer service experience we just went through. To think that this corporation sells to families and caters to parents, and then to be totally given the "too bad for you" answer is total lack of respect for the customer. We will NEVER spend another cent in Toys r Us OR Babies R Us as long as we live and will be letting each and every other member in our rather large family that we will not accept any gifts from those stores for our children. Nice job Toys R Us . Great way of doing business.

I recently worked in one of the stores. I started off as a seasonal worker. We had a family death and had to move out of state unexpectedly. While I was still working there, I did a lay-a-way for my kids. Last things on my mind when I am packing up my family to move out of state. When I did call the manager, she acted like she didnt remember me and told me there was nothing she could do for me. What sense does it make to make someone travel from state to state just to clear up a lay-a-way. When I was working, the training program was HORRIBLE!! Not only was the training bad, the "management" would get irritated if you required any kind of help. One day of training does make for an Employee of the Month!

Just got off phone with rewards program manager. I had over $1400 in rewards in emails, go straight into spam.. never saw them. I asked if anything could be done, and I was told sorry no... Really? Its a company geared for babies and children, you would think theyd help out. Instead I was given the "terms and conditions" speech. the terms and conditions are not listed on the card nor when you sign up for the program. I feel cheated and am disappointed that customer satisfaction was not important to them. When I tried to call corporate it tells you to call customer service.. What a joke. My membership# 2100157732187. I would love for someone to call and correct this poor experience. But from what happened today, I dont expect much.

7815 i worked there for 4 1/2 years. When I broke my finger's was told not to say anything, when my arm was sliced open more the nine inches long and one inch wide was told not to say anything about it. I dr. it up myself and continued to work out of fear of losing my job. ( all within first 3 months of working there.) Was almost killed by a wall falling on me. Was promised a DS position and was given to another person from another state. I was threatened many times about losing my job. I quit 4 weeks ago and they posted the job opening and took it down after receiving an resume from another employee that is over qualified for the position and hired out side the company before giving her an interview. The new employee starts her paper work today. We are told to lie to the customers and push bpp on them even if the item doesn't need it. Our store manger stays in the office all day and does nothing and knows nothing about the store. I did my job without complaint and so in return they made me do my job, srs, bike assembly, pickup, floor, truck unloader, and 90% off the tim was all by myself doing it. When other ass. where sched. the same position they had atleast 2 other ppl there to help. I have so much more to gripe about buut will leave it alone. Just know Amarillo's store is the worst one out there.

I was sent over $50 in R Us rewards cash back (10% promo) via email which went directly to my spam box, and I never received them. The rewards have since expired 2 weeks ago. I just got off the phone with a Customer Relations Manager who said 'sorry' there's nothing they can do and that I should've read their terms and conditions about the email notifications. #1. You are not given the terms and conditions when you sign up for the Rewards program at the store. #2. The fact that they 'sent' it electronically is their only obligation, and whether you receive it or not is not their problem. Not only is it horrifying that they actually 'don't care' they have it in writing to 'screw you' at every chance they get.

as an employee I agree with every review on here. even as a customer myself they treated me bad at my own store. managers sit around. floor employee know more than them and ths store manager. they is no training n when U dont get metrics I dont get hours. that pure bullshit. the schedule never made on time n if it is they can change it and not tell I n then blame u . worst place to work or do business. I hate this place. can't wait to get a new job.

This company sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Toys R Us /Babay R Us just don't care and are a monopoly. Corporate is always right and the customer means nothing

I use to love love Babies R Us until today, 2/11/2012. I would walk into my store in Henderson, Nevada and the employees all knew my family. They were personable and always extremely helpful. I loved shopping there and then today I was told that it didn't matter if they lost my business. I have spent thousands of dollars there for my twins. I had recently bought diapers for my twins during a promotional period and received a $70 promotional gift card. I went to spend it on 2/11/2012 and was told that it had expired on 1/28/2012. The manager told me to call the customer service number and they should have no problems reissue me a new one. I called and spoke to the customer service and they said that there was nothing they could do. I then spoke to her supervisor, Anita 120211-001691, she said sorry to here that they would lose my business. She did not care that I had been a loyal customer or how much money I had spent there. She did not care that I belonged to Moms of Multiples and that we brought in alot of business. This was a simple solution to keep a customers business and instead I was treated terribly. This is poor poor poor customer service.

I recently visited simi valley store in california were my wife and I were walking around. As me and her were both born in raised in simi valley it use to be a town that stand for some sort of values. But instead the store has decided that it's going to hire re abilitation drug attics to run the place. And work there in the back and stocking the shelves. In store that has mothers with newborns on the way. When anytime they can take these customers informations and is putting in jeopard the life of these parents and the children at risk. Who I ask is willing to expose the children to addicts at a young age simi valley babies r us is who.

I hate this store!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Stay away!!! Its dangerous to go there. We got robbed at the Van Nuys's store in the parking lot. There is no security, and its not safe to shop there. I hate this store and will never spend money in there, not even a single penney. The parking lot is dangerous!!! People please stay away from this place!!!!

The job assessment that finds out if you are qualified to "fit in with the culture" screens people out with autism. I have high functioning autism and they red flagged me because I failed the personality assessment.

NEVER GET A WATTERNY FROM TOYS R US. I got one for my kids power wheels, stinger. I called several times they said someone would come to and look at. It just stopped working. No one ever showed up. I called back and they said I have never filed a claim. I had to go to the store manager at Toys R Us. After waiting around for 20 minutes, he said ok they will call you. They called me and wow there was a claim they found it. I am so sick of TOYS R US.

My wife and I visited the Baltimore, MD, Babies R Us today with the intention of returning a $20 teddy bear and registering for our new baby, due in April. The teddy bear had been a gift our in-laws and we didn't want it, and didn't have a receipt. The four unoccupied clerks at the front of the store quibbled over whether to accept the return because it was a plush toy from Toys R Us, offered a paltry $5, and then lowered the offer to $3.70 (the final sale price). Their treatment of the return made my wife feel like a shoplifter rather than a valuable potential customer, and it made her cry. This was not what we expected, especially on a day when we were expecting to create a baby registry to do additional business with Babies R Us. The store's lack of customer service and concern for my wife made not registering at Babies R Us an easy decision. We will not be registering at Babies R Us or buying items there for our baby. I found the staff to have a tremendous lack of respect and was insulted that they offered less than 20% of the value of an item that our family spent money and time to buy. We've also shared our experience with our childbirth classmates, who are also happy to boycott these stores.

I actually worked at Toys R Us and let me tell you, it was the worst job I ever had. They schedule you for MAYBE 15 hours a week, they don't train you at all, they just throw you onto the register and expect you to know everything about the store on your first day. Management is responsible for the crappy customer service, they don't put effort into training their new employees whatsoever. I felt bad for customers because the store doesn't treat them well at all. They push credit cards onto people who honestly didn't look like they could handle another bill and they cut our hours if we didn't sell those damn credit cards, or the batteries...bullshit buyer protection plans, or rewards cards. Just a horrible place.

The managment is poor especially at store # 8815. Most of their normal employees are more knowledgable, and hard workers. Ive witnessed a couple times a manager pretty much demeaning a service desk employee to the point where she cried. I saw how badly treated she was and made the manager apologize to her. And i wasnt the onein line

Promotions are being given to seasonal employees who have little knowlege, and arent as hard working as the people that have been there for awhile. Pretty sure this is a favortism thing happening since 2 of them are in a certian need i say Click with the manager and training assistant manger who were both from the same Babies R Us. Certain employees also have been asking for opportunities to learn things and more responsiblities and by 3 store mangers telling this one individual that they know that they ate capable of doing the job and spole highly of and that includes lower mangment too saying the same things and yet they pretty much keep giving the person the run around and wont help an already better than average employee advance to try and make a difference for the company and they never give that persob the chance. Instead give it to someone whos there to milk the clock and talk about football and other un job realated issue instead of working. Not that the company cares anyways ypu prob. Wont even read this concern.

Worst experience with the store in Babys R Us store in Chantilly Virginia. We registered for our new baby at the store since it was close to our house. Received a lot of good things from our family and friends, except for a round bassinet that looked good but it was very clumsey and I was not about to put my newborn in it. I called customer service to see if I can do a return, maybe pick out a different bassinet. I was told that I was within the 90 days refund policy, I can take it to any store and get another bassinet or store credit. Ihad the box the packing slip the registery number but the store manager Tyler refused to take the bassinet back. I questioned him on why, his reply was " I have the right to accept or refuse any return". I asked for the district manager's name and phone number, but once again he gave me his first name and refused the phone number. Tyler was extremely rude and unprofessional as a store manager. I contacted customer service but have not heard back. I spent alot of money in the store, but I will not from this point on.
