I honestly feel sad for the way employees and managers get away with such poor customer service all over the country in Target stores. Reading the different comments here makes me happy that I greet my customers with a smile and help them in any way. Unfortunately, the first time I ever visited a Target was to return a Christmas gift that didn't fit and was not my style. All I wanted was to perhaps pick something else out that would benefit me since it was, after all, a Christmas gift. Well, since I didn't have a gift receipt I could only change the size but was still stuck with the garment. A good business would satisfy their customer with at least store credit. I would of been happy with that. I haven't been inside a Target since, first impressions mean a lot. So, I recently moved and there is a Target 1 block away from my house. My son asked if we could just check out how they are now...maybe they changed. I only went in as a test and bought a little $7 fan. The people were fine, really no complaints about any employee. But I can say that the first thing I heard when I walked in was a buzzing sound. I wondered where was the music that makes shopping more enjoyable that you hear in every store. As I'm walking through the buzzing got louder and more annoying. I asked an employee why there wasn't any music and he said that nobody needs music, and to be your own jukebox. While I thought that was funny, I still had the buzzing in my ear. So, just FYI, music keeps people in a store longer and creates more of a relaxed atmosphere. Oh, and not to mention makes for a happier customer service reps. Food for thought.

I was appalled by a recent encounter with one of your employees and a Store Manager - someone whom I hope is not representative of your company as a whole. When you hear what transpired, I am sure you will agree. When I visited your Target location 739 North Hwy 67 Cedar Hill, Texas 75104 store # 1836. Around 9:30 p.m on July 14, 2011 I was purchasing trial size Dove deodorants and several packages of gum that were on clearance. I gave the cashier my coupons for the dove deodorant which were a $1.00 off. The cashier who helped me was very nice and helpful he told me my total I was right in the middle of swiping my debit card, when another employee named Kiesha rudely came from behind the cashier and said I cannot use the coupons that I was using. At this present time Kiesha could not tell me why I couldn’t use the coupons so she called an LOD (Lead on duty) over named Matt, to see if I was using the coupons properly. I explained that on a coupon you go by the description not what the picture shows. She said “I cannot get a trial size deodorant with the coupon I was using. I then explained that the coupon does not specify an amount size it said (ANY). The LOD agreed with me. Keisha then took all of my bags and aggressively dumped everything I purchased on the counter. I asked Kiesha why did she do that I had paid for my transaction and she said “I voided the whole transaction”. Then she explained that I can only purchase five items per transaction. I told her that I was unaware of the policy and I pulled out my cell phone to contact a friend who was in line before me and let her know that I had been the one chosen to implement policy on and how rude this cashier name Kiesha was treating me. The reason why I contacting my friend was because she had just left the store, she was in line ahead of me and purchased 12 of the trial size deodorants with the same coupon with no problem. I also would like to mention this is my second encounter with the same cashier, and each time I left the store treated like I did something wrong just because I used coupons. I walked towards the exit when I see the employee (Keisha) standing there I asked if I could speak with her privately and the manager said I am the store manager can I help you I explained how inappropriately I was treated by the cashier (kiesha) and he said that because of excessive coupon use in the store there is a limit five per transaction. I told him if that is the policy then I am fine with that, however, I expect to be treated with respect when I come and use coupons not have all of my items dumped on the counter and treated badly. I also told him if you implement the policy for one customer everyone should follow the same policy. Even the cashier that was helping me before Keisha took over agreed that her behavior was rude. He (Kevin Peterson the store Manager) never apologized or tried to see my point of view he automatically sided with the team member Keisha and said he will look at the tape. The next morning July 15, 2011 around 8:30 I called the Manager Kevin Peterson to get clarification on the coupon policy for the store. He begins to say that he said all he had to say on 7/14/2011 the night the incident occurred and that he had nothing more to say and to contact target guest relations department and that is what I did. I was mortified, and I am embarrassed to say that I was so dumbfounded by Keisha and Kevin’s rude behavior concerning this matter. I was discriminated against because I have had a previous run in with this same employee and possibly racially motivated. I find it hard to believe that Target would knowingly employ such a rude and unprofessional cashier and Store Manager. I would like an apology for how I was treated. I live in Cedar Hill and I would like to spend my money in my community and I will continue shopping at that store. However I do not want to have the cashier (Keisha) helping me with any further transactions in the store or Kevin the store Manager. With the way Kevin handled the situation I would prefer to speak with another team member if I have a major concern about anything. I look forward to hearing from you within the next week concerning this matter.

My Grandson's bride registered at Target in Michigan. One of the items she registered for was a Casco folding table priced at $29.95 and 4 chairs priced at $29.95. I wanted to purchase them but being a Marine and they were going to be sent to Okinawa for 3 years shortly after the wedding it seemed more fesible for them to pick up the set in San Diego as Target would not ship the set from MI. My Grandson was stationed at Camp Pendelton and leaving from there to Okinawa. When the couple went to a Target store in San Diego they could only purchase the table and one chair for $29.95 and were sent to 3 more Target stores to buy the other 3 chairs, each one costing $29.95. Instead of this set costing $60.00, it ended up costing them $120.00 and what happened to it being a set. Why would you only get one chair with the table? Is there something wrong with this picture? I think so.

i just drove a hour to target to get a movie they said they had and would hold for me. i got there and the guy i talked to was gone. when i got a manager to help me, i didnt even get a half a sentence out when he kicked me out of the store and treated to call the cops. he said i was being loud. i was screaming i was just talking loud. i tried to explain i had tubes in my ears as a baby and this was how i talked. he called me a liar. along w/ some other not nice words. he was a young know it all type. people were staring and he cause a bigger scene than i ever could. it was embarrassing. i spend about 80 % of my fixed income there too, or at least i used to. my father was a manager of G.E. for 37 years. he said he was disgusted w/ the way that manager handled the situation. it could have been very easily explained. yet like a said, i couldn't even get a half a sentence out to say why i was there in the first place. where has the respect gone/ and he said i had none. whos the customer and whos the manager again? i honestly think there was something wrong w/ this guy.

I went to Target on 441 and a road name Wiles road I am not from Florida but i remember that much for a 57 year old women. The management there is terrible they treat their employees like garbage an employee stood in front of me asking a manager a question and was being ignored I think that should be fixed. I like the service just bad management.

I often shop at Target in Beaumont, TX., and have had pleasant experiences, but today was the day I decided to take my business elsewhere. I purchased $70 worth of items, 2-shirts, a pair skorts and a helmet. I left the store, drove 5 minutes to my house, looked in the bag and the skorts were not there. I checked my car to make sure nothing fell out, and then double checked my receipt to make sure I was charged for it. I went back to the store, not 10 minutes later, walked up to the cashier and told her my skorts were not in the bag. Without looking around her area to make sure the skorts had not fallen to the floor, she immediately said she put all items in one bag. I informed her again they were not there. She said to go to customer service. I explained to customer service my item was not in the bag when I returned home, and they supposedly checked the camera and said all items were placed in the bag, and because I didn't double check my bag before walking out the store, I'm liable for the loss. Therefore, I walked out of the store less $15 and no skorts. I remembered, while I was paying for my purchase with my credit card, the cashier picked up a bag and ran to give it to a customer who was there before me. That could have been my skorts.....I am beyond pissed off at this point, but one thing is for sure, that I will never shop at Target again!

An ad for a 16 lb. bag of dry cat food for $10.00 on sale. The ad was in the Sunday paper. I went in on Monday to purchase the item. They were out of that dry cat food. I went to the customer service area for a rain check and the girl told me that there were some things they would not give a rain check on and the cat food was one of them. When gas is as high as it is and time is precious to us all, it's ridiculous not to give a raincheck for an item you SHOULD HAVE IN SUPPLY BUT DON'T. Sadly, we were part of the group supporting the Target coming to our neighborhood - Sorry we bothered.

Aloha Target Corp., Our little island has a coconut wireless form of communication so as you can imagine people talk story a lot!! From that many rumors fly. He heard from an Oahu Target employee that a store on Kaui may be in the works........ Will a Target be opening in Lihue, Kauai anytime in the next year or so. I sure hope so, flying to Honolulu has gotten too expensive & I miss my Target shopping... Something to consider, our little island is growing fast & Walmart does not have the quality & choice you offer. I appreciate any info. regarding the birth of Target on our big ~ little island, KAUAI ~ Mahalo Nui Loa, (Hawaiian Thank you very much) Donna & David Pickard donna.pickard@gmail.com (808) 822-1691

I WENT TO THE TARGET IN MATTESON, IL AND THE SERVICE WAS SO BAD THE MANAGERS WAS STANDING AROUND TALKING ABOUT THE EMPLOYEES WHICH IS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL, DONT THEM GUYS HAVE OFFICES IN THE BACK SOMEWHERE TO DISCUSS THINGS ABOUT OTHER EMPLOYEES IN PRIVATE. AND THE STARBUCKS OMG.............. IT WAS ONE NICE RESPECTABLE YOUNG MAN THERE I KNOW HIS NAME BUT NOT SURE IF I SHOULD PUT IT ON HERE OR NOT BUT I WILL CALL HIM MR.C HE ALWAYS SMILE AND TALK TO THE CUSTOMERS BUT THE REST OMG AND THE MANAGER WAS SO HARD ON HIM I FELT BAD FOR THE GUY BECAUSE HE IS A SWEETIE I HOPE HE QUIT AND FIND A JOB THAT WOULD APPRECIATE HIS WORK, I EVEN SEE HIM WORKING IN OTHER DEPARTMENTS AND HES JUST A NICE GUY, BUT I WILL NOT BE SHOPPING THERE ANYMORE.

I just found out from my neighbors that since our local Target Store (Transit Rd., Depew,(Cheektowaga) NY) opened, that they have been receiving coupons in the mail from Target. How can I receive the coupons?

I am extremely disappointed with Target's "price matching" policy. It is different every time I shop there. Sometimes I have been asked to take my items to be price matched to the customer service desk as I was told that they cannot price match at the regular registers. At other times, the cashiers have price matched at the regular registers. There have been occasions when the cashier at the regular register has referred me to the cashier at the customer service desk, who, in turn, has referred me back to the regular register. In addition, it appears that they have a new policy which practically excludes other sales ads. I was in the Niagara Falls, NY store on Sunday, June 19, 2011, with an ad from CVS pharmacy for Zhu Zhu pet hamsters at a price od 5 for $10. The store refused to honor the ad, stating that their policy excludes items that need to be purchased with a "store card". Almost every store now requires "store cards" to receive the sale prices for its items, including, Tops and Wegmans Supermarkets, Rite Aid and CVS drug stores. I had previously "price matched" items from these stores which require a "store card" to receive the sale price numerous times. However, on 06/19/11, I was intormed that this will no longer be the case. I don't understand how this store can claim to "price match" items when actually the only other stores in our area that produce weekly ads and do not require a "store card" are Wal Mart and walgreens drug store. Target needs to change its "price match" policy to be include to price match items from stores that require a store card for the sale price.

June 15 2011 4:53 PM . I bought an XBOX 360 kinect . We went home @ 7 PM got the Xbox set up. Played with kinect for 2 hours. Then it started to freeze . I restarted it then it keeps on freezing every 3 to 5 minutes. So I research in the internet and it says t might be over heating. The xbox was setup according to manufacturers instructions and t was well ventilated. So the next day I am returning it for an even exchange and to my surprise they told me to send the xbox to microsoft . The lady from Target says. These Items can be altered inside. "Didnt she know that xbox consoles have seals so you would know if the item was opened !. " She also said they could not return it because the item is already opened ! Of course it is opened because I played with it tested it and 2 hours later it freezes every 3 to 5 minutes playing the game(Kinect adventure)that is why I am returning it. They would not do an even exchange for electronics item . The guest relations leader said they have been in contact with SOny , Microsoft , Philips about items like this and their instruction was to refer the customer to the manufacturer instead. MY money was good but the product they gave me was defective and they would not allow me to return it to them. An item was bought less than 24 hours ago and they would not accept a defective product that they sold instead they will refer you to the manufacturer.

From this date I will be boycotting all Target stores due to their anti-union activities.

I've shopped at Target since they opened in Duluth in the 60's, ordered on-line and was pleased when Target opened stores in Anchorage. 1. I ordered pajamas for a child a few years ago, they were too large so I put them away until last summer. But, Target had sent them to me with a security clip which couldn't be removed. Took it to the Target store in Anchorage but, they had no ability to remove it. 2. Why stop the free shipping to Alaska? Amazon and several other major retailers ship for free here. 3. Why donate money to a conservative group? Why alienate customers? Frankly, Target has turned into a huge disappointment and I rarely go to their store (mostly stuff made in China anyway) nor do I order on-line. It's been a long relationship, but, Target no longer lives up to my expectations. Bye, bye.

I run a small business requiring a sizable demand for the plain cherokee t-shirts in toddler and youth sizes. My local store has been out of the sizes I need for over 3 weeks now. I have spoken to customer service, department management as well as left messages with staff for the store management and still I am unable to get the sizes I need which requires me to drive 25 miles away from my local store to get the sizing I need. Very disappointing and makes me wonder if anyone in this store is in fact worried about customer satisfation.

I see my comment posted on 06/13/2011 has gone unnoticed unless it takes the same amount of time for them to post as it does in getting your purchase out to you which has been 10 days now. Everytime i've called they tell me it's stuck at the warehouse and that it takes 24 hours per every call to get it resolved. This is a bunch of crock. I have and never will order anything with Target in life. They will never be able to compare with Walmart. I dont care how many black friday ads they put out! lol

A gift item for a baby shower was purchased on 05/25/2011 and the expected deliverly dated was to be between 06/03/ - 08/2011. I have contacted Target online order service numerous of times regarding this item and all I've been getting is that it's stuck! My question is where is it stuck; do you not have it in house, and what's causing it to be stuck and not shipped! I am very disappointed and will not be ordering anything online from Target every again! Plus the customer service stinks to high hell!

I shopped at Target on Friday & left totally frustrated. The person that checked me out definitely gave me the impression he would rather be doing something else. And after ringing up something incorrectly, he told me I would have to go to Guest Service to correct his error. I wasn't a happy camper! I go over to Guest Services only to find two additional people with the same persona as the "check out" guy. I received a credit for the error, but I received no apologizes for the error or the inconvenience of my time. And to make things worse, Target corporate makes it very difficult to address my customer service concerns. Very disappointed!

On 6/5/11 Target advertised the Madaga Gazebo for $199, but none of my local stores ever got them in the entire week of the sale. I called customer service and Ken, the supervisor told me to order it online, but it required a $80 extra shipping fee. I asked how I could reserve one and pick it up at a local store, but they said that could not be done. Target, please don't advertise something that you will not carry in your stores!!!

How does a Target allow 2 young women to purchase twelve $1000 gift cards on stolen credit cards? All on the same day within a few minutes!
