Target.COM IS HORRIBLE!!!!! I will never shop at Target or Target.com again!!
This review concerns your store at 11000 E. Roosevelt Blvd. (U.S. Rt. #1) in Northeast Philadelphia (PA). I thought this Target would be very conveinient as it is located in the shopping plaza right next door to my apartment. It is a very clean store. Even the 'empty' shelves are clean. Anyway, twenty-one months ago on December 20, 2009, I bought an Ebson WorkForce 500 Series All-in-One printer. The price was excellent and it's a great printer except for one thing; it does use ink cartridges. So much for Target and conveinince. I have been frustrated with the management at this store for all of these twenty-one months! Always out of this color or that color. (Out of a lot of other things too but that's another story). "Why don't you buy a multi-pack (if we have it)" or "why don't you try one of our other stores". At 7 o'clock last night I ran out of black ink so I gave Target one more chance. NO BLACK INK! Customer service called for a manager who explained that they run out because this is one of their most popular items. Enough said and thank you again! I should have gone to Best Buy or Staples in the first place. They are always well stocked! But Target gets two stars for being very, very clean, especially their 'empty' shelves!
On 9/3 my wife and I went to Target in Philadelphia to buy some needed things. We purchased a microwave oven, a large pot to cook large meals in, and a Mr. Coffee. When I arrived home and opened the microwave, I found the oven was badly damaged, so I immediately returned it to the store. Next day my wife looks at the large pot and discovered it had a dent in it to the point were it leaked water. I returned to the store and returned it and again got credit on my credit card. Later that day we used the Mr Coffee and it was fine. With friends over we finished the coffee and proceeded to make another pot and the machine would not work. It did not heat up or even perculate the coffee. After our friends left I returned the Mr. Coffee and again got credit. THAT WAS THREE ITEMS PURCHASED AND RETURNED. I complaint to the manager who said to me: "The problem is these items come off the conveyor belt and get thrown and are stacked hight and many times they fall." NOW... if a lowly manager knows this and doesnt do anything about it that is poor management, and being in a higher place I am sure you know of this situation and your failure to correc the situation shows sign of not caring. What ever happened to quality control...what ever happened about caring about your jobs....your company... your reputation ... apparently these things like your failure to correct great sins against your customaers are all gone. I will speak badly of your store and your company at every available chance and assure you you will never see me in your uncaring store again.
I am a long-standing (almost 6 years) Target Red Card credit card holder. Today I cancelled the card. The Missoni launch was completely mishandled by Target Corporate. It was an exciting launch with a great line of products, but it seems that only the horders intent on buying 10 items at a time to sell on Ebay benefitted. Target made a cynical decision not to limit quantities purchased, such that at 10AM today, the day of the launch, the shelves in my local Target were bare of all Missoni. This was not democratic but the company probably doesn't care - the items sold. There absolutely should have been a limit per item per customer. But Target chose the easy way, the cynical and unfair way. Additionally, their website is still down, hours later. This, they also should have/could have anticipated. I had several items in my cart on the website, ready to purchase, at 8AM when the website crashed. So, I couldn't get those items, either. I cancelled my credit card. I felt it was the only decision. I can't support the company based on the way things were handled today.
I received the following email regarding TARGET. Is there any truth in it? Target Stores - What a surprise Wasn't it last Christmas that Target refused to let the Salvation Army ring their bells in front of their stores? Dick Forrey of the Vietnam Veterans Association wrote. 'Recently we asked the local TARGET store to be a proud sponsor of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall during our spring recognition event. We received the following reply from the local TARGET management: ' Veterans do not meet our area of giving. We only donate to the arts, social action groups, gay & lesbian causes, and education.' So I'm thinking, if the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall and veterans in general, do not meet their donation criteria, then something is really wrong at this TARGET store. We were not asking for thousands of dollars, not even hundreds, just a small sponsorship for a memorial remembrance. As a follow-up, I, E-mailed the TARGET U.S.. Corporate Headquarters and their response was the same.... That's their national policy!!! Then I looked into the company further..They will not allow the Marines to collect for 'Toys for Tots'at any of their stores. And during the recent Iraq deployment, they would not allow families of employees who were called up for active duty to continue their insurance coverage while they were on military service.. Then as I dig further, TARGETis a French-owned corporation. Now, I'm thinking again.. If TARGET cannot support American (or Canadian) Veterans, then why should my family and I support their stores by spending our hard earned American (or Canadian) dollars in their stores??? And, have their profits sent to France . Without the American (and Canadian) Vets, where would France be today? 'They, most likely would be speaking German and trading in Deutsch Marks' Sincerely, Dick Forrey Veterans Helping Veterans Please send this on to everyone you know to let Target know we don't need them either ! we’re all in a position to reduce sales to these stores as soon as this get around! ! ! !.....SO THERE IS POWER IN THE PEN (KEYBOARD).........
I have been a loyal customer of Target and have spent a lot of money in the store on Millerville, Baton Rouge, LA. My first mistake was buying a Sylvania 32" t.v. I purchased it November 12, 2010 and it broke a week a go. I contacted the store manager because I have the receipt but it is not legible. After the awful customer service by the Manager and the rude treatment that I incurred with guest relations, has forced me to never purchase anything from Target again. I had my bank statement showing the TV was purchased November 12, 2010 and fifteen receipts that I showed the store manager which were also faded and illegible. I do not see how this store can stay in business with the horrible and rude people that I have had the misfortune of speaking with. All I wanted was something stating the the TV was purchased at Target so I could have it replaced since it was still under the manufacturer's warranty. If I was a business manager or worked for Target, I would think customer satisfaction would be a priority. Sadly, that is not the case. I will never shop at Target again nor will I ever buy anything made by Sylvania. You have lost a valuable customer.
I went into your store Friday at 7:30P: M. I asked several employees where I could find the bathroom cups. None of them could speak English (only Spanish) I asked for a person that could speak English. A employee came later & directed me to the cups. I asked why there were so many people that don’t speak English. Security came to me DEMANDIND that I leave their store. I asked way I was told that the Mexican Employees complained that I hurt their feelings. I told the security that this was outrageous. He demanded that I leave. I told him that I live in Discovery Bay & it’s too far & advised him that I would check out & then leave. He told me that he would have to call the police. I told him go ahead. I checked out & left. I am a 100% Disabled Veteran & a Senior Citizen . I told my husband why happened, he is also a senior citizen that’s disabled. A Filipino woman advised us that she is the Human Resources Manager. & DEMANDED that we leave why they have a NASTY ATTITUDE towards people not of their race. We were born in the USA & are not the Enemy. I called corporate headquarters, with zero satisfaction. I shopped at Target since 1967 in Omaha Nebraska & never again.
Who do you go to have some questions answered? Who do you do to, to complain about the unfair treatment in the work establishment at TARGET? What happens to a TM Lead who tries to put a PREGNANT employee at risk for a miscarriage? Who do you do to when the LOD of HR doesnt give to hoots about the team? How often should Chat sessions take place by your LOD HR? Curious, wondering if anyone has some answers. Thanks.
I have always been a Target shopper however i also have an unfortunate story to share. Last evening while shopping in Target located on Dumfries Rd, Rte 234, Dumfries VA my daughter and i encountered a very rude sales associate. My daughter picked up skirt and then decided she did not want it, so she hung it on a rack. The associate stormed in our direction and demanded for my daughter to go put that back where she got it from. Due to the rude manner in which we were addressed i advised my daughter not to touch that skirt. The back and forth went on while i listened to the employee complain about straightening up her section. I spoke with a supposed manager (Steven) who shrugged the incident off and asked me what i expected him to do about it. I requested the corporate number and name of a General Manager. The manager, team leader or whatever title this person held handed me a piece of paper with guest relations and the name Jared and walked away mumbling.
I have shopped Target Stores for 40 years! I love them. Recently, I have heard that they are supporting far right wing political canidates. I also know that despite heavy unemployment here in this country, Target has call centers in India and the Phillipines. My wife and I were told after almost an hour with the Phillipines call center that they counld not process our order of one desk! The desk did arrive and we love it. However I just saw on the news that over 10,000 people were at a job fair in LA while Target has call centers in foreign countries. Come on Target, help out American citizens first!
I recently purchased a large Target gift card ($325.00) to help my son who lives out of state. He has lost his job in this horrible economy and needed to have some medication prescriptions filled. Before purchasing the card, I called his local store to see if they would allow me to give them an American Express card number to pay . The manager I spoke to was very by-the-book and said "no", they could not take a card over the phone. Fine; bought athe card and mailed it.After 8 days, between an earthquake and a hurricane, he had not received the card. I called the lost card dept. (which seems to be outsourced to the Phillipines ?) and was told they would trace & call me to advise if it had been intercepted. Instead of calling me, they froze the card and sent another one to MY address which I may receive in a week. Yesterday, my son received the initial card finally, took it to the store to get his meds, and of course it doesn't work! Many phone calls later I ended up on the phone with the same "by the book" manager who, in spite of hearing ALL the circumstances, won't help us in ANY WAY get those prescriptions without having my Amex in hand. HORRIBLE service; I'm done with Target! THIS was the time to bend the rules! There should ALWAYS BE A WAY TO HELP A CUSTOMER IN NEED!
I just found out Target helps corporate conservatives....so they're off my shopping list. The political right is anti-woman, anti-black, anti-gay and for the worst of the past.
I have to ask, When did retail stores stop majoring in selling merchandise and take up supporting Gay rights while bashing our military and refusing toys for tots sponsored by the Marines ( the military doesn't ask if your Gay before they fight for you!) ARE YOU A RETAIL STORE OR RUNNING FOR POLITICAL OFFICE??? AND I want to hear "MERRY CHRISTMAS" said when you take our money for purchases made in honor of DEC. 25th after all Christ is the reason you have your BEST SEASON OF THE YEAR! so if you want HIS blessings ... DON"T KICK HIM OUT OF HIS OWN BIRTHDAY PARTY!!!! DUH?
Target has the most horrible customer service ever!! I will never order from target.com or shop at the store for as long as i live. I worn everyone who shops online dont do it. I purchased a table set and they charged me double the amount the total was.. When i tried to get someone to figure out why they just said call ur bank and have them dispute it cus were not giving ur money back unless u do.. That lady was a huge cunt!! I hate target and still am waiting on my money to get back im out 200 bcus they are sloppy dumbasses
I purchased several items at my local Target store in June; to pay for the items I used an American Express gift card and my VISA card for the balance. On July 13, 2011 I returned one of those items, at the time I had the original receipt so it was used by the sales associate for the refund. I did not notice the credit was made to the gift card number. When I received my next VISA statement, I verify my receipts are posted to it correctly, the Target credit was not on it; I looked at the receipt closer and noticed what had occurred. On August 8th, the next time I went to shop at Target I went to the Customer Service counter for help. I was told because the return was more than 30 days old, it wasn’t, the credit receipt was dated July 13th; and I didn’t have the gift card she could not help me and handed me a card with the Guest Relations 800 number to call. I haven’t been able to find anyone that keeps their used gift cards when it no longer has a value (I usually have the store clerk dispose of it at the time of the transaction). Once a transaction appears on my Visa statement, I don’t keep the receipt, I throw it away. I went home and called the 800 number. The person I spoke with I could barely understand, he asked me questions and put me on hold numerous times, after 25-30 minutes he asked for my phone number and told me he would have to research what to do and would call me in 2 or 3 days with an answer. I was not given a reference number. That was Monday; I hadn’t received a call by Friday afternoon so I called again. The second person was more difficult to understand than the person I had spoken to on Monday. He asked for my reference number, I told him I had not been given one. Most questions I had to have him repeat 2, and sometime 3 times, before I could understand them. If it wasn’t thirty minutes, it was close to it, he asked for my name and phone number then said he was transferring me to the Returns Department. I could at least understand her; after I explained my problem to her I was informed she couldn’t help me and my call never should have been transferred to that department. I ask her to find someone that could help me and have them return my call. I have not received a call from anyone and I still do not have a reference number. I seldom have problems with accents because I lived and worked in Los Angels for 10 years, New York City for 8 years and Florida for 5 years. I wrote a letter to Target Corporate Offices, they have not responded either.
I placed an order online on 8/20 they lost my order but I was charged for it. I tried calling and after waiting on hold for almost 2 hrs. I gave up. It is not were the $12 I spent. Let me keep the $12 and let them keep their crap merchandise. I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM TARGET AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!! RUN FOR YOUR LIFE THEY ARE ALL IDIOTS!!!!!!!!111
I have heard rumors about your company not willing to help Veterans and just read an artical about your company that proved your stand with U.S. Veterans. I am shocked that you will help other types of organizations, but the ones that are resposible for your stores even existing and your people even being alive to work in your stores will not have anything at all to do with Veterans. I myself am a Vietnam Veteran and love my country very much!! I used to shop at your stores, but I can tell you as of right now will never shop in one of your stores ever again and will do everything in my power to tell all my Veteran Friends and all my other friends about your policies to helping veterans. I think this is very un professional of your stores and your management and CEO's. I wonder if any of your top management or CEO's ever was a Veteran themselves?? If so that is not saying much for your pride as a Veteran, but my guess is your were not Veterans at all!!
i called corporate headquarters to ask a simple question about a problem i was having w/ their website. the cust. service rep. answered the phone "hello" and didn't know any answers to anything i was asking her. she also placed me on hold for 25 minutes the first time and then hung up. i am stubborn, so i called right back and am now running on a 37-minute long hold time. i won't be shopping here anymore based on this treatment. if there was a 1/4 of a star option to choose here, that would be too much!
I recently was informed that my blood test showed a high level of Chromium which could indicate a failure of my recent hip replacement. I was between Dr.s and needed some advice concening a dietary suppliment I was taking. Becky, at the Onalaska Wisconsin Pharmacy went out of her way to answer my questions and even said she would do further reasearch and get back to me. I can't say enough about Becky and the Target staff in Onalaska. I will continue to support that store.
This past Saturday, 9/17/11, I purchased a queen sized bed spread on sale for $23 at one of the Arvada, CO stores. Later that evening at home, I decided I wanted a king size and tried to exchange the bedspread. After driving around for 2.5hrs the following day trying to find the right size (since the original store was out of stock) I finally found one at a Lakewood store. However, it was not on sale and the employees in the Guest Services dept. told me I would have to pay full price for my bedspread, which was $100! Apparently it's not Targets policy to match their own prices. They wouldn't even let me return the other one and pay the difference in price. The situation was poorly handled as no other alternative was offered to me and I wasn't even allowed to speak to a store manager. It's a very poor policy and I will be shopping elsewhere for my home needs from now on.
