I recently went shopping at our newest Target store in Hanover, Pa. I bought plenty of clothing for my granddaughters. When I return the next day to return a few items, the associate rang up the return and took her register receipt and attached it to my original receipt. I did not have to take out my card that i used to purchase the items with. They get that info from the original receipt. i realize the next day that I needed to return a pair of the girls underwear that were too big. I walk into the store and go straight to the customer service desk. I tell the associate i am returning and give her my receipt, along with the merchandise. She calls another young man to the desk and are trying to figure what they are going to do. When the lady see I have a receipt already attached to the original, she says I already returned this item. Well i did not and then she sees that Ihave a $5 target gift certificate listed on the original. Now she tells me if I purchased this $5 item using my $5 gift certificate she can not give me my money back because that is the way it goes. I pulled the gift card out of my wallet and showed her that i hadn't used it yet. What she saw on my receipt was that i received it for buying two begin treats. Again this his not her business and if you can't return something bought with a target card that target gives you has an incentive for buying something, then something is wrong. They ask to see the card i used to make my original purchase. I show my card and the lady said I used a credit card before and what I was showing them now was a debit card, omg. who is in charge of training. She also said that if I use it as a credit , the account number would be different then if i used it as a debit. upon further investigating they said the number that the first return was put on another card other then the one i was showing. Now is when it gets difficult. I see this visa xxxx and i say that is not my account. So, where did my money go? They get two managers out there and they are calling someone. The young man gets off the phone and says if i would have noticed that account where the return went to on the same day i could get my money, however, it is the next day and i would have to go to my bank to get my money. my bank said the last four digits of that account could belong to any bank. it clearly is a target problem. I call target get a manager and she says she can fix it. i go there and she starts to work on it and then she talks to somebody from target who would do the investigating. this lady asks to speak to me. she asks me if this account could belong to somebody in my family. what is this? I didn't show a card the day they gave my money to another account. they normally take and return to the account that you used with the purchase, so how could i use nother card Would they have put the money on a different account if i would ask them? I think not. Now we have more people checking they call my bank and the bank tells them it is their problem. i am now told my bank has to innitiate an investigation. I made two trips to this store. talked to numerous associates, listen to their reasoning. The last thing I am told is that their investigators checked the last four digits of my card and knew my name and all my info, they checked the last four digits where they sent my money and could find nothing! They gave me a $25gift card and said they didn't want to lose me as as a customer. I checked out and headed home . I assumed I got my money put back i my account, and well the $25 would take care of the diesel i wasted running up there. Never got an answer as to where my money went. They gave me $25 and I guess that was good since my return was $25.99. Almost got the full amount. I don't think I want that kind of garbage ever to happen to me, I found out that I am not the only person this happen to on that day I hope whoever they are they get to the bottom of it and don't accept a gift because it won't be the amount you lost.
I have always had a wonderful experience at target it is clean and usually well organized. i can always reach a manager or speak to some one over the phone if i am looking for a specific item .the store managers are usually very professional and to the point of a situation...i have had only to incidents well bad experiences at target once was a security officer that was clearly following around a black male and i decided to report it because it was very obveous and the gentelman was with his family i noticed them when they were walkin in the store..the other incident was with my daughter and she needed a new bikini and was at the end of the day i was very tierd and probably looked terrible because i was 7 months pregnant and the woman in the fitting room was checking every single item i had going in and out the fitting room and was lettig other customers jus literally walk in i was very offended and was sadden by the treatment considering i go all the time .....
Had to return Keurig coffee pot to our local Target Fenton, MI have been a loyal Target customer..This is the third pot that I have had to return. Return clerk rude...manager informed me maybe I should try another coffee pot and removed the sample pack of coffee from my box of the new coffee maker. Made me feel like I had done something wrong because I had to return this coffee maker. Did not appreciate the attitude I was confronted with. I had my receipt and it was within the time limit for returns. Intend to take this complaint as far as I can as I did nothing wrong and they had no right to treat me and talk to me this way. I can afford to buy my own coffee and did not need the sample inside the box.
I tried to return a toaster that broke after two weeks. They would not take it back because I did not keep the box. I discarded the box because I thought I was going to keep the toaster. I wanted to exchange it for a different toaster however, they would only exchange it for the same toaster because they said they had to have a box to return it to the warehouse. NOT MY PROBLEM!!! I will never shop at Target again and I am going to spread the word!!!
I had a Target credit card for 11 years and didn't use it for a couple years trying to pay debit off. The credit limit was reduced from 2900.00 to 1000.00. And then they reduced it to 500.00 for inactivity. The service person I called to cancel the card tried to talk me into keeping the card since I had been a good customer for 11 years. He said the limit would be increased but once the limit goes down I don't think it goes up too fast. This was a Visa Target Card and I cancelled it and will go Target free and shop somewhere else.
Terrible customer service! Return center is awful!!! I was treated very poorly and not given a refund. Associate did not know the check policy! I had to wait twenty minutes for service! This was the store on Wilson and Broadway in Chicago, Illinois. Store number 2373! Sincerely, S. Sterling
Forget Target. I tried to find out why a voided transaction was posted to my Red Card. Better than 2 hours later with 'service' agents in the Philippines including a 'supervisor' I still had no resolution. I was told I might hear in ten days whether or not the disputed transaction was credited. STAY AWAY. DO NOT USE TARGET RED CARD. It is not worth the trouble.
When I read that Target had refused to give to a veterns program, I could not belive it. They were asked for only a few hundred dollars... Target being a French Corporation should remember that if it wasnt for the US Military in WW11 There would probably be no Target, and the French people would still be walking around saying Heil Hitler. I have stopped buying any thing at Targets and tore up my credit card
Bought a TV from target paid 450 dollars for it.. it lasted less then a year. I could not find my receipt so i called the store to see if they could reprint one or track it as the TV company told me to.. NO help, called the corporate office, No help. I will Never buy any High dollar Item from them again. I felt even the customer support at the two stores I called and corporate were rude. I will eat it now, but they can eat it for good. in fact i had planed on buying a 600 dollar Ipad 2 from them and even have the Cash in hand. Shame i liked the store to but I can live with out shopping there. walmart, Meijers, Kmart, best buy, ect. when i worked for meijers they told us customers are not an Interference of our business, There the reason were IN business. totally dissatisfied with them.
My husband and I went to the Franklin, OH Target today...the cashier overcharged my husband's card 160.00...all we got was an I am sorry and you will receive your money back in 3 to 5 business days. I called the supposed guest relations line and was not asked my name or address or contact information and was told that they would pass my comments on...yes I am sure to the trash can. Target does billons of dollars in business..they really do NOT care about one customer. What is one customer?? Well we did have them void the ENITRE purchase and we get to wait 3 to 5 days for that money but we went next door to Kohls...who charged us the proper amount and spent even more money. Customer service really is a thing of the past and Target does not care because people will continue to spend there...but I will NOT be!!!
Oh my God, the dearborn michigan location is the best!!! i had the best service, i felt so good!!! thank you so much!!
"My Target" as I call it is just a few blocks from my home. It is an older small property that just added a very convenient small market. As an increasingly disabile senior it is important to have a store i can depend on. Most all employeees are very helpful. Most! Though I don't expect extra help it is nice when it is offered. No longer can I get from car to store power cart w/o severe pain from a multi fractured back. Today a store supervisor was out front. Rolling the car window down I asked if there were any carts available. She acted very anoyed that she had to look over her shoulder. When asked if she had anyone who could bring it to me she snaped NO! This is a person I have had small issues with in the past. Mainly rudeness.Maybe this is against the rules but it has been done for me in the past. And the store wan't busy. It's almost never busy. 2 miles down the road Walmart is happy to help me get a cart. Their employees aren't allowed to take tips and theu DO NOT. Unlike the big guy at my Target who grumbles over only $5. With that guy and supervisor Lauren, I wish them well keeping business.
I am extremely disappointed with Target’s service desk to the point where I am out of words to describe my frustration. This is my first and last time I will be using Target’s on-line order. You can assure that I have and will continue to share my horrible experience with everyone for years to come. I placed an order for one dvd. A week later, I called and they will not let me cancel my order or give me derlivery date. My only option is to re-order the product. I have made four adamantly frustrated phone calls and spoken to very un-helpful help desk clerks!! I was issued with cancel confirmation number in two different phone calls. Few days later, I received an email shipping notification that the product will ship on 10/09. This has to be a joke! How many times do I need to call to have an order cancel? Can someone send me an email to report this issue?
I ordered something online on 9/15 only to find two weeks later a notice it was delayed. Found something in store itself so tried to cancel order and was told it could not be canceled online. On 9/23 sent fax to corporate office about this -- then on 9/25 got notice that UPS had a tracking number. Called UPS and was told that they did not have package but only had billing information. Called Target again and again and wasted hours trying to cancel since UPS does not even have package yet. Again, given the run around. This is like the ad that where the man says, "Hello, My name is Peggy." then phone passed from person to person where they say, Transfer, transfer, transfer and get right back to where they started. TARGET ONLINE IS SAY WAY. they need help or you will lose online business if you care about it.
I made the unfortunate mistake of ordering a target gift card for my grandson to be sent via email. he loves the toy department in Target and I usually send Toys R Us gift cards via email with no problem. I went online and ordered it Friday morning and was told it would be sent right away. My grandson's birthday was not until Saturday. Saturday rolled around no gift card, Sunday no gift card, Monday no gift card. So I call the online Help line that should be changed to unhelpful line. This was an all day into the night event to get some sort of satisfaction, I was kept on hold for hours at a time and I do mean hours!! I spoke to five different people who could not help me I was told that I needed to speak to a supervisor as the card had been sent to the wrong email address a letter had been left off the email address I gave. All I wanted was for the card to be re-sent to the correct email address and no one could help me. I got so frustrated I even called the corporate offices as I couldn't get any help at all, finally I got a call from Target at 6.00pm informing me that I need to call the refund department. I call the refund department another hour of holding I kid you not!! I am told I need to speak to Target online.com!! AGAIN! I call again and am left holding for another hour until I finally get to a supervisor who informed me that they will have to credit my account and buy the gift card all over again. I just want to say that I am disgusted with the customer service at Target and will never ever buy anything from them online again. My grandson's birthday had passed and I am very upset at the incompetence of the customer service line, I should have been told from the get go that it could not have been resent. To add insult to injury the supervisor also informed me it takes 3-5 business days for an e-card to be sent if I had known that I would not have bothered in the first place. Needless to say when I get my refund I will be going back to Toys R Us.
I have never been so frustrated with an online shopping experience. After paying $389.00 to have my items "Express Shipped" I still have not recieved the items over a week after they were scheduled to arrive. I have wasted countless hours trying to get a refund for the "Express Shipping" charge and have continued to get the run around. I have had to call 7 different times regarding this issue because everytime one of your representitives transered me to a supervisor, the line is disconnected. And this is after waiting on hold for over 50 min each time. I guess I will have to just go through our credit card company to resolve this issue.
On February 18, 2011 I purchased a Biddeford heated mattress pad. Now in the month of September I opened the package to install on the bed just to find that there are no controls...To date I have called Target and Biddeford to get results, but to no advail....On Friday September 23,2011. I spoke with a supervisior named Sandi who after a brief conversation, hung up on me... This was my 3rd call to Target and Biddeford....And will continue calling every day till I get results. Target says its passed 90 days for their policy....90 days from purchase would have put it smack dead in the middle of summer....So would have had no need to open until ready for use....Getting the run around from Target and no response from Biddeford is unacceptable. And very much unappreciated... I'm a senior citizen who can"t afford to waste money so would appreciate help...
I order an item off of Target.com on September 7th. The item failed to process and I was not notified of it not being shipped. I called to cancel the order and to reorder it, since I had already waited two weeks. The lady I spoke with on the phone was overseas and misspelt my email address, so the first order didn't get completed. I was notified of this a day later. I call back to cancel it and reorder my item A THIRD TIME (twice was too many) and the price of the item had gone up. I have THREE pending charges on my debit card from Target.com, a package the MIGHT not arrive here because of outsourcing and people who can't spell, and now overdraft charges. I will NEVER EVER EVER shop at Target again. One of the ladies over the phone even had the never to tell me that I should have called back in the 30 minute window to change my address. Little did she know, I'd been on the phone the ENTIRE TIME on hold. Completely unacceptable, infuriating, and rude. I have NEVER been so displeased with a company in my life. Never again will they be getting money out of my pocket. Sincerly, A DISGUSTED customer
i purchased a stroller online on 8-24-11, it was supposed to be delivered on 9-06-11 and it wasn't. i called customer service and they assured me that it would be home by the 9th, long story short it is 9-20-11 and i've called about 8 times and also spoke to different supervisors who where really apologetic over the phone, but still no resolution. my husband finally got fed up and called today and they told him that the order has been canceled and its in the process to be refunded, we never asked for a refund and all we've been asking is that we get our stroller!!! to make matters worst my husband is a target employee and that doesn't seem to matter because we still got horrible service!!!
I was in your location in Garner, NC (Timber Dr). I went in to purchase an X-Box for my grandchildren. Usually I use my debit card but this time I elected to write a check from my second reserve checking account because I was buying it for my daughter and was going to be reimbursed. No only had I just made a $2000 deposit 15 minutes before coming into your store but I had a balance of over $18,000 in that account. After I wrote the check the salesperson scanned it in and it was declined. I called the number that had been printed on the back of the check. The service staff said that it was company policy not to accept checks for such a large amount. Well it was only for $315.18. Not only was this embarrassing but absurd. I could understand if the check was not good. I've been in retail for over 35 years in the tire and auto business and have accepted checks for much more than that. We have a scanner that worked just like a debit card. We could scan the check and it would take it out of the account at that time. With today technology, store like your should have the same equipment. Instead, I was totally humiliated just by the mere fact that there were other customers standing there and it puts you on the defensive trying to justify that the money is there. You can believe one thing. If this had not been part of my grandchildren's Christmas, I would have walked out and never ever returned. I will share this experience with anyone that knows me. I will not be returning to your stores in the future.(I'm sure you could care less)
