During the Black Friday sale, I visited the Honolulu store, as well as a couple of other stores in the area(not Target). By far, the Target experience was superior in every way. First, the store was exceptionally clean. Second, there was an abundance of store help available for speedy checkout (no wait at all, which is unheard of for Black Friday morning). Several employees offered to provide assistance in finding anything. I took one up on their offer and the personally walked me to the item requested. Finally, they had a great selection and everything that I wanted (advertised in ad) was available. I would like to point out that the Target I went to opened Friday at 12:01am. I did not shop there until about 6:30 in the morning. I thought for sure that the items I wanted would be gone, but they weren't. I have always preferred Target to Walmart and KMart, this is absolute proof. (I went to K-mart that morning as well and the store was dirty, understaffed and they had computer problems at the registers, which caused long waits. I waited over half an hour to check out. I arrived at the store at approximately 5am, which is when they opened and half of the items looked for was not found. The store help was unfriendly and mostly unhelpful, though one individual did assist me in finding one item, it was not clear that it was the item in the ad and I was not sure until I waited through the half hour line. Better signage, or any signage would have been helpful. Bottom line. I loved my experience at Target. They are great. Good job! Just wish there was one closer to my house. Lee Watkins
Around 90% of us celebrate Christmas and yet Target stores seem to cater to a small handful of crazed athiests WHY? You'll notice there's not one mention of Christmas throughout their whole Sunday circular WHY? When you shop at Wal-Mart there's Christmas music creating a nice festive atmosphere but when you're in Target it's like a mortuary, it's eirily quiet and they don't even allow Salvation Army bell ringers outside WHY? The store right now is full of Christmas shoppers spending crazy amounts of their money and Target goes out of their way to NOT acknowledge Christmas in any way WHY? I think it's a damned shame and people should up in arms over this nonsense. Even Wal-Mart is getting back into doing the right thing and using that "Christmas" word more and more, nobody should ever avoid saying Merry Christmas by using that ridiculous and insulting happy holidays stupidity.
My 10 year old daughter wanted an IPod touch and we decided to check it out at Target, because she had some unused gift cards which she could combine with her birthday money for the purchase. I was reluctant to buy her one, because my older son had cracked his and she was much younger. I relayed my reluctance to the Target team member (at the electronics counter) and he stated that they had a plan that would cover the IPod if it was damaged, it was $30 and would cover it. My mistake was, I didn't know Target team members lie to customers. As expected, my daughter cracked her IPod, and I took it and the $30 warranty to Target fully expecting either a replacement, or for them to fix it. The people at the electronics desk now told me my $30 warranty would only cover mechanical failure..what, why would I spend $30 to cover a device for unlikely failure. I explained what was told to me, and the admitted that it was likely told to me, but there was nothing they could do. I asked for a manager, didn't get one and was very upset that my 10 year old, who was with me when they made this promise, now thinks sales people are just liars who steal her money (this was her money after all). I spend thousands of dollars at Target every year, I am more than annoyed.
I shop at your store all the time, but I must say am very disappointed in the help you have hired lately. I have been in your store every day looking for a Christmas item that is a hot toy. When I arrived yesterday, an employee stated that he noticed I was there often and wondering what I was looking for. When I told him, he had the nerve to tell me that if I would throw him a couple of bucks, he would pull the toy and call me. If that is the way you people are doing business, I am tempted to contact our news station and let them know how your store handles their customers. There are enough crooked people in the world and now we need to see them at your store. What a pity
I went for a return for a purchase that I made w/ check on 11/23. The check has since cleared my bank but i was told that I could only get a refund via gift card until until 8 business days have passed. I looked over the receipt, the posted policy on the walls and check stands and saw nothing that disclosed that I would need to wait 10 days. The day I made the purchase I used a check because I forgot my bank card and didn't want to use credit. This is disappointing to me since I drove out in the cold only to be told to come back on 12/1. The policy should be made clear because if i had known I would have used the credit card. I called and requested a copy of the policy or to be directed to where I could read this in the store only to be told an "executive" would contact me. Shame on you Target.... going to rethink my shopping in the future and stay away from target for the time being.
I probably wont be shopping at Target anytime soon. I placefd an item on hold and what did they do they sold it in less than an hour of me calling them and now the item is out of stock. Guess what Target will not try and help me locate another one, so I am going to post negative reviews everywhere I can. Facebook, Twitter, yelp hopefully my friends wont shop at this target ubtil they get it together. Oh by the way it was Target on 120th in Hawthorne, Ca
My family and I went to Target the night of Black Friday to purchase a TV. We stood in line for almost two hours, which was fine. But, once we went inside the store we headed directly to where the suprise doorbusters tvs were placed. We decided to pick a Vizio 42" that was lined up around the other tvs. There was at least 2 or 3 of this brand and size, without any pricing. After shopping around we went to checkout at the register, where the employee told us that it was not on sale. Which led to my next question, why was it placed with all the on sale, doorbuster tvs. This was false advertising. They should have never put that TV (Vizio 42" ) with the other tvs that were on sale. The employee told be that I would have to pay regular price, refusing to involve a manager or high ranking staff. I feel like someone at the corporate office should know how the employees manage one of the stores. (Spring Cypress in Texas) It was terrible. It's a shame, I shop there all the time. It WAS one of my favorite store.
I believe your business was the first to move hours to Thanksgiving Day. Other stores quickly followed suit. Unfair to your employees and it definitely affected our Thanksgiving in a negative way. Hurry thru dinner try to grab a nap to go out and shop in the dark. Babies in strollers, teenagers acting in loud rude manners. Most of my family enjoyed the 4 or 5am openings. If the trend stays next year, we will not be participating. Greed once again ruins what was a fun tradition.
I just have to ask? Why am I more familiar with targets coupon policy than their own cashiers? Yesterday I went into the store to buy over $100 in merchandise and I had coupons for everything. I know their coupon policy but didn't bother printing it b/c I assume the employees deal with coupons on a daily basis and that they probably get some kind of training in that particular area.... Apparently NOT!!! First off the cashier gave me attitude about having many coupons and that I was combining Target coupons and mfg coupons. I knew this was not going to have an easy transaction, then she said she is unable to accept so many Target coupons because they are only allowed to accept 1 coupon of each per transaction. I said no where in the coupon does it specify a limit or on the coupon policy? She got me really upset, then I ask her if she can call her manager? She said she was the manager!! I was even more upset b/c by this time there had passed over 10 akward minutes!! In checkout and my 6 month old daughter was starting to get upset, the lady could not come to a decision if she was going to take the coupons or not! I am thinking " wow! The store and manufacturers go through so much to advertise and get their coupons out there so when you go use them.... The stupid cashier is totaly clueless about coupons??" Well now she calls another manager to come and assist her because she is so incompetent to resolve this matter on her own and make some use of her so called "manager" position. Now I'm really frustrated because its been 15 minutes of waiting and my daughter is screaming, so I just ask for my coupons back and cancel my whole transaction! Now I left the store so humiliated and with no merchandise whatsoever. I will be taking my coupons and doing my shopping at Walmart from now on. I will still be giving Target corporate a call Monday to let them know how poorly their employees have been trained and how much common sence they lack!!
The black Friday process at Target this year was terrible!! I shop there every black Friday and this year I couldn't even get in b/c of the new process. They had one long line that wrapped around the building and crossed the street, and only let customers in 30 at a time through one door. We left and went to other stores. I'll never go to Target again on black Friday if you keep that process. An absolute nightmare shopping experience!
We absolutely LOVE the lady in your commercials in the red work out suit! She is hysterical. We both run into the living room to catch every commercial. I hope they continue at least until Christmas. Nice job on catching our attention and putting a little humor into the commercials intstead of just filling the air with one product after another. Thank you! Deb and Marty
In all fairness, while we do love your lady in red commercials....we do wish you would stock more items made in the USA. We are checking labels and reconsidering every purchase we make. Please show your support for America and our returning service men and women by increasing your 'Made in the USA' merchandise. Thank you.
On Friday the 25th of November at 2:45 P.M. I was in your target Store In Yulee Florida,State road 200/ A1A. At 2:45 P.M. I ask a Salesman Name MIKE if he Knew If I could Get a Certain Item...HIS REPLY was ..I can not answer your Question Because I do not Clock in Until 3:00 P.M. there fore I am not on the CLOCK yet... I Spoke to the Young lady who said she was the store manager on duty at the time and I told her about the UNCOURTISIE of the Electronics Sales person,, HER comment to me Was, O.K.,and I informed her that I would NEVER go and shop at another TARGET STORE.. AND I will Not ....At least I expected the STORE MANAGER to at least tell me that she qwould speak to the Clerk about his Rudeness... IF the Clerk can not answer a Coustomer question 12/15 Minutes before his Clock in time, THEN why would the Clerk be on the floor in his area of work... I spend EVERY MONTH at least $200.00 for Medications...But i Promose your compant I will drive 30 miles and get my Needs in the Future, I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT INSIDE ANOTHER TARGET STORE.. Any you Continue to Hire UNPROFFESIONAL Boy's and Girl's to manage and work in your business,and I am sure you will not gain very many new Coustomers..I will also TELL everyone that I kjnow about your Staff...Trust me, this will go on my face book so everyone will see this Complaint about TARGET.. I was denied a refund for a car seat and stroller travel system I bought online at Target.com, with accessories costed me $626.95. I received all the accessories, but instead of a britax travel system that is sold online and not here in Hawaii, I got a wooden Keekaroo High chair. My aunt signed for it thinking thatʻs what I ordered. The customer care specialist told me to return it to the store and then I can get the correct item quicker, within 4-5 days rather than thru the mail would take 5-6 wks. So I lug the 46lb chair and my 3 wk old son in the carrier to the target store here. The poor team members and I were on the phone with multiple customer service specialists for almost 3 hours at the store! First itʻs sure you can get a refund, then itʻs weʻll give you a store credit, then itʻs we can put it back on your visa, but not what you paid for shipping to Hawaii, then weʻll give you a $50 gc for the inconvenience but now you gotta lug that box back home and wait 3 days for a return label email and then wait til they receive their wrong item back and wait again to get my item I ordered. I say no I want a refund for the entire order because I need a car seat and stroller now, please hold.....then I get a "no" I canʻt get a refund, I just need to take it home and wait for my email. I ordered the items on 11/10/11. Iʻm still waiting for my return label email, 3 days came and went. I donʻt even want to talk to anymore of those "specialists" that canʻt do anything. I want my money back so I can get a car seat and stroller and leave my house whenever conveniently as a normal person would with a baby. Iʻm never shopping at Target.com again. I shouldʻve ordered it from Amazon.com like I normally would, and will do if I can just get my money back!!
I like your store but, those Christmas commericals are in very poor taste. Please get rid of the blonde shes not helping you sell your product. I know alot of us turn the channel when it comes on because, its that bad!!!
All Target store stinks!!! Target store located at Viera, Florida must be # 1. They need training in people skills. What your company need to do is call Publix to help show them with how to treat their customers. The store Manager Ms. Maribeth was not professional in handling the situation. Ms. Maribeth blocked the front entrance with a barrier along with a security guard by the name of Sunny. Our family members were on line and as 12am approached they allowed all those who were waiting on line to go first. My husband and I waited patiently by the front entrance with Ms. Maribeth guarding the entrance along with security guard Sunny. As the crowd on our section grew bigger a certain group of people went to Ms. Maribeth and said "we have family inside can we go in". Ms. Maribeth permitted for them to go in and that created a stir within the crowd. I explain to her that we too had family inside and they are holding a 46" tv and we need to go in and pay. Ms. Maribeth ignore me. So my husband called my niece to come out to show Ms. Maribeth that we were not lying and she still ignore us. Then Security guard Sunny disrespected my husband by yelling at him and said "Sir do you not understand the concept of standing in line"> My husband was addressing an issue to Ms. Maribeth. The reason my husband and I did not stand in line is because I am a handicapped and my husband was concern for my safety. So we proceeded to go around because we saw that they were not going to help us. As my husband and I proceeded to leave Ms. Maribeth slightly moved the barrier to allow other patrons in. My cousin witness this and was very disappointed with her action. I realized that Target will no longer be my store. I will go across the street and shop in WALMART. They know how to treat handicaps and their customers. Now I understand why your store is always empty and WALMART is always FULL. I refuse to buy the 46" TV at YOUR store and I rather pay more somewhere else. Good day.
I like target stores for the most part they are bright, clean , and the personnel are pleasant & co-operative , but I can not stand your present ad on tv. Am I missing something? Do you need a new advertising manger or what? Can Corp actually listen thru that ad with the blonde in the red dress and not mute or flick the channel ? We talked abt it at thanksgiving,liking ocean spray cranberry's ad but ready to scream when target's ad is on. You must not of reviewed the ad before it aired, or u did & pushed ok instead of denied. First time I have ever done this but I have to write to comment on lady in red in commercials. She is so annoying to my entire family and friends we turn the channel as to not listen to her. I live very near a Target store and I love it and shop there often. It seems as though in the past your commercials were always very tasteful and made people want to flock to the store. Just thought I would give you my opinion. Wishing everyone at Target and their families the best of holidays!!
I am having a horrible experience with Target and Target.com. Every order I place on Target.com it always comes back that they are out and I never receieve the order or it is scheduled to arrive after I need it. WTF?? I've had it. They have lost a loyal and huge customer. "F" Target!!! Who the hell orders Christmas presents at the middle of November only to receive it after Christmas December 30th. Then the money doesn't get returned to my account until 5 days later at the least. So I miss Black Friday shopping because you are holding my $1000.00 and you notify me on Thanksgiving Day. I'm so f'n pissed!!
The lady in red on your commerials was TERRABLE,,,,/Target has always had some of the greatest TV commerials in the past. Lucky I havent seen her on for awhile and the commerials are back again being super good. She was so BAAAAAAADDDDDD
