So frustrated that I can't buy a lens that they have on sale, It is out of stock at all 3 local stores except for the floor models. They won't sell those or give me a rain check. It isn't available online and nobody knows when they are getting more. SO frustrating to be looking at the phyiscal product, but not be allowed to purchase it!
I went to Target store in So. Cali. to buy a children's V Reader (electronic learning device) that cost about $70 dollars. After I purchased the item, I read the instructions and proceeded to put the cartridge (program) into the device. It didn't work. I kept trying but it still didn't work and the voice message kept repeating to insert the cartridge. I brought the device to customer service and asked for assistance. Here is a response from their super customer service department, "I don't have kids and my other co-worker don't have kids. We don't know how the items works. Sorry we can't help." Great job Target on training your employees about basic customer service!!!! How about "Wait and I'll get someone to help you out." The store may do well in their sales productivity, but as far as simple customer service, you ...... big times. I imagine it's not the fault of incompetent employees since incompetence comes from the management. I'll still shop at Target knowing that I shouldn't expect too much, especially very simple customer service!!!
Concordville Target in PA, has some of the nicest people working there. The guest services counter always gives me the best service possible and I appreciate that! The registers are always well manned! Keep up the good job!
Target claims that it has "Price Match"; however I went to Target to purchase a Let's Rock Elmo which Walmart had on sale for $29.99. I downloaded the flyer from Walmart's website, but Target refused to take it because they wanted the original flyer from Walmart, I even downloaded Walmart's website on my phone and showed it to them. I will never shop at Target again, the only reaons I went there in the first place was because Walmart was out of the Let's Rock Elmo. What a ripoff
My debit card information was stolen and 3 seperate purchases for a total of $939 was made at a Target Store in a completely different state than what I live in. Luckily my bank is taking care of the situation but I ask Target: how can three purchases be made by using my debit card as credit card with signature get by? I have been told by several agencies that Target, JCPenney and Macy's are the top 3 companies that these scams are getting by. Aren't all three companies owned by the same people? Are your employees not being trained? Or are your employees the thieves? I called my local Target thinking it happened there and yes I did get "some" assistance but not what I would hope for someone calling them and reporting that I did not make those charges... Was a phone number given to me for corporate to file a complaint or to check into it? NOPE. Buyers beware using Target online - maybe your information will be stolen also.
I went to target today, the one in L'ville Suwanee rd. in L'ville GA. I had 4 coupons one for each item I had, (all the same kind) I was told by the manager that the new policy was limit 1 coupon per item per day!!!!!!!!! I looked @ the coupon policy and didn't find this anywhere. Does any one know if this is true? I tried calling corporate but no answer, lol....
I love Target..I always have. However, now that my husband works for them..I learn amazing things as his confidant. This probably is in a LOT of retain stores, but since I only know about Target, this is what I'll post. They CONTINUALLY are cutting workers, giving less and less hours, even though the store is doing great in sales, and most days are over their 'goal'. The 'team members' are required to give more and more and more, working MUCH harder, with less and less help but are put under pressure to complete their daily goals regardless....especially their managers.....now the managers are being asked not to give Christmas presents to each other (only out of their own pocket) in the 'spirit' of giving..yet, Target donates millions..I repeat, MILLIONS of dollars to charities, yes they are penalizing their own employees, cutting hours, just so their 'bottom line' always looks good. Come on Target...treat your people with respect and dignity..leave Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day along..we know that within the next year or couple of years, the employees will be working THOSE days as well...and for what??? FOR YOU and YOUR PROFIT margin!!
The website is horrible! So slow. Everyone I know wont shop online with target anymore and are so frustrated with the whole thing they wont even go in the stores. Target has lost the business of over 150 people that I know due to the slow internet!!!!!!!!!
I was at the Target store in Eagan today, about 2:30p.m. It was raining hard outside and I tried to get a cart that was not wet. The cart I chose ended up being too wet for me to place my purchases in it. I went to customer service and asked if I could get a towel to wipe my cart. The employee (lindsay) said "Oh, go over to where the carts aqre and ask the guy wiping the carts for another cart" then she turned her back and I stood there dumbfounded! I pushed the cart I had over to where there were two boys "wiping" the carts. I asked them for a dry cart and they said "Oh go over there and get one of those, they've been wiped." I went to the area they pointed out and the carts were still wet. I asked for a toweland one of the employees handed me HIS towel. Why didn't they offer to wipe out my cart? This is not my idea of Customer Service. One of the boys should have checked if the cart was dry instead of standing talking to the other employee while I WIPED OUT MY OWN CART. His only comment was"oh the towel is really wet so I don't know if it'll work." HE SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN ANOTHER DRY TOWEL AND HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE ONE TO WIPE OUT THE CART, NOT THE CUSTOMER. NOT WHILE HE WAS CHIT CHATTING WITH THE OTHER PERSON WIPING THE CARTS. CAN'T THEY TELL THAT THEIR TOWELS WERE TOO WET TO DO THE JOB AND GET SOME DRY TOWELS TO FINISH! If I had the time, I would have gone to an entirely different store to shop, where hopefully I would have gotten better service. That cured it for me to shop at the Eagan target in the future. The cashier that waited on me as I checked out was very hospitable and did a nice job but (Lindsay) needs to take more time to speak to the customer and really HELP the customer instead of pushing the customer to get taken care of by incompetent employees.
I went into a Target store in Puente Hills Ca. 91748 to try and return a vacum cleaner which I purchased on black Friday. The first young lady I spoke to would not take back my vacum because in was not in it's oraginal packaging.I had a receipe and it has not even been 30 days but she said thats our policy.I then asked to speak to the store manager which took about 10 minutes. She ask the same questions as the first girl but was very short with me (Ashley was her name). All she keep refuring to was the return policy on a wall behind her.I ask if that policy about returning items back in oraginal packaging was at the reguester when you bbuy the item or on the receipt and again all she could say is sorry thats our policy and walked away. I asked for her name and she said Ashley in a very RUDE many, and then I ask for a last name and again she said Ashley in and even much ruder mainer and never stoped to answer any more of my questions.I have been shopping at Target since they opened and this is the worst problem I have ever had.I have told my story to as many people as I can because I feel Target should take back my vacum and that manger should give me a personal apology.
Do not purchase from Target online. I ordered a black friday item and received confirmation emails, the item was charged to my AMEX but the tracking information never changed from "a shipping label has been prepared". I checked with UPS and the number that was assigned was one given by the Target and means that the item had never reached UPS. After two hours on the telephone with Target, all the way from the Philippines to Minnesota, the only thing they would offer was to refund the purchase and let us reorder at the current price which was $60 more than the original. They refused to honor their confirmation emails, they refused to let us have one at the original order price and I even had two of their customer service people lie to me and tell me the order was on it's way. UPS confirmed that this was a lie. Additionally, they will not give me a telephone number to contact the head of online. They did give me a $20 gift card for my trouble....one that has to be spent online....yeah, I really trust that method!
Target has real stupid staff, many are either black or hipanics, the stores are everywhere but being on top of things and organized the corporation is asleep, well with this economy this store is soon to be doomed 2012..
I went to the Target in Upland. CA on Campus and tried to buy gift cards that said Merry Christmas and guess what all they had were cards that said Feliz Navidad. I didn't buy any I went elsewhere. I still live in United States and feel this is worse than a slap in the face. I called to complain with the number above and feel whoever took my complaint could care less I will post this everywhere and tell all my friends and neighbors.
I am loving the new holiday commercial. It is so funny how they go from Thanksgiving to Christmas. Love it.
An example of good customer services vs bad. A prime example of "UPPER-management" LAZINESS, ineptitude, inefficiency and lack of initiative. Combined with an example of GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE... by SAMANTHA (cashier supervisor at Tamiami Trl Sarasota location). She provide a solution by simply handling the situation efficiently, logically and COURTEOUSLY!!! Recently shopped Target and spent over $500 with the idea of getting the Red Card 5% discount at the time of purchase and any future purchases. Due to a "computer" glitch not able to process the application. The cashier gave me a paltry $3 off discount for entire transaction. When I called the store manager to complain and find a solution, I was told she would investigate and call me with results. She NEVER called. I then packed up the entire purchase and went to the nearest Target where I spoke to another store manager who was just as unhelpful as the previous one. He stated that I would have to do a return on all the items and then reapply for the Red Card. His attitude was like "oh well, your problem not mine". Just like the general attitude of COOPERATE AMERICA. So, I brought everything back into the store, ready to do just that! When "Samantha" (the cashier supervisor) handled the situation with much more logic and efficiency!!! She had me reapply on their now functioning computer system and then made the appropriate adjustment to the initial purchase receipt. Easy as that!!!
Went to make a purchase on line the items was on sale however there was a shipping fee, this fee could be waived if I used my target credit card. So I entered in my target credit card and to find out no longer valid due to inactivity I called the number and of course got India (Wonder Way America's Unemployment is so High) they told me I needed to go to the store to get the card and place my order. Get to target re-open the account however can't place order on line orders with new account. Called Target spoke with India again gave my problem so very nicely he told me they would waive the shipping charges and to waive 1 hour call back to confirm. Just over an hour passed called in shipping Not Waived and so I'm canceling my order Nope can't cancel because you only have 30 Min to cancel. Guess time is also different in India. Only way is to refuse my order when shipped. I spent about 2hours of my time to save $50bucks Never again will I order from Target.
My wife and I got married on November 6, 2011. Two months prior we signed up for the online wedding registry at target.com. About two weeks before the wedding it showed us that eight gifts had been purchased. So after the wedding we drop by a local target to see what we needed to do to get our gifts, they instructed to call the 1800 number. We called the number to see what the next step would be for us. It took three phone calls to get in contact with someone because we kept getting hung up on. After getting through to a person we were told that we needed a reference number or the person name of who brought us the gift. When doing the registry it don't give you any information outside of letting you know what items that were purchased. So without that information we were told to just wait cause they couldn't do to help us. Its been over a month since our wedding and still no gifts have been delivered to us. Every time we call we get hung up on, passed from department to department, or told just to wait. At this point it don't look like we are going to get our gifts. Its horrible how customer service has treated us and how bad target.com is for not delivering our gifts. This has been the worst experience with target ever. This is something I would expect from wal-mart. We just want our gifts thats already been brought for us.
WARNING! dont buy from target online b/c the customer service is deplorable. i paid an extra for a signature requirement on delivery. my items were dropped on my porch without me signing for them. i called customer to have the fee refunded and of course i ended speaking to someone in india who drove me up a tree b/c he had no idea what he was talking about and that's when he wasnt keeping me on hold for 10min at a time. i finally hung up after dealing with him for a half hour and called a toll number instead of the 800 that was SUPPOSED to be to corporate headquarters but again connected me to india. i hated to be rude but i told the girl i dont wanna talk to anyone in india, u connect me to an american... NOW! i finally got an american and this girl realizes the error but then tells me, i'm gonna send u a gift card for the handling charge. i asked her was she crazy and told her if i paid target with my creditcard, target better put my money back on my card. she agreed but there is no web info that will allow me to file a formal complaint to HQ about my experience. SMH
Around 90% of us celebrate Christmas and yet Target stores seem to cater to a small handful of crazed atheists WHY? You'll notice there's not one mention of Christmas throughout their whole Sunday circular WHY? When you shop at Wal-Mart there's Christmas music creating a nice festive atmosphere but when you're in Target it's like a mortuary, it's eerily quiet and they don't even allow Salvation Army bell ringers outside WHY? The store right now is full of Christmas shoppers spending crazy amounts of their money and Target goes out of their way to NOT acknowledge Christmas in any way WHY? I think it's a damned shame and people should up in arms over this nonsense. Even Wal-Mart is getting back into doing the right thing and using that "Christmas" word more and more, nobody should ever avoid saying Merry Christmas by using that ridiculous and insulting happy holidays stupidity. This to me doesn’t make very good business sense either.
