The Target at The Shops at White Oak Village located in Richmond, VA (Near the Airport) is pitiful... and that's a compliment. Customer Service must not be mentioned to employees whatsoever. Why don't they just go back on welfare? I'd rather pay tax money to support them and their families as opposed to having those dirty black people ANYWHERE near me. Seriously Target? You hire these people? There's tons of people who will bust their butts for 7.25/hour... but you hire rude black people and pay them 8+/Hour? Really? hmmm....

On 1/14/2012, at Target on Bloomington St., in Colorado Springs, CO, my wife was verbally attacked by another guest. A team-member, Theresa, witness the incident. The guest's husband lunged at my wife and my wife yelled for help. No one would call the police and I had to call 911 myself. The acting store manager would not allow Theresa to speak to the police and give her witness statement. I talked to the store manager, Denette, today and she said that it is Target's policy that team-members were not allowed to talk directly to the police about criminal matters. I even asked a hypothetical question that if a cashier was robbed a gun-point, would they be able to talk to police about the crime and she advised me that they would not be able to talk to the police because it was the store manager's job. I have been in law enforcement for 17 years and never heard such a thing. When I contacted corporate, I was eventually connected to a very rude female, in customer service, telling me that an investigation was done and the store manager decided that no charges would be filed. I did not know it was their place to decide if charges were to be filed. Due to this incident, i will never shop at Target again and plan to pull all of my prescriptions from them and transfer them to another store. This is an absured policy and I am surprised that no one has ever a lawsuit against them.

On 11/26/2011 The good people of Target sold me a defective PS3 for $249.99 to which I also purchased the extended Target warranty for $29.00. a whopping $278.00 purchase. The deal was if you brought a new PS3 you also got a gift card for $50.00. Brought the system home and set it up. Used it for less than 20 accumulated hours over several weeks. The systems would get hot and overheat and shut off all power to itself and my new 42inch TV. Only had system for less than 3 weeks. Called Target and they told me to bring it into the store for an exchange. I brought it into the store and they told me that if I wanted an exchange I would have to pay $50.00 since I got a gift card under their promo (even though I paid the full price of $249.99 for the system to begin with). I ask them why? The system was defective and I don't want to return it I wanted to exchange it for the same exact system only one that worked. Spent an hour in the store speaking to their on call manager who best could recommend to contact their Guest Service line. I called Their Guest Service line the next day only to be told by them they would forward it to a department that was hire up since it was a defective item and not a standard return (they never responded even to this day). The good rep advised me to contact target again and speak with their store manager again as she wasn't sure if their "higher level" department would ever get back to me (she was right they don't care). I called the store and spoke with a different manager and tell her about the issue. I also tell her the Gift card was applied to a game I brought in the same transaction and that the game had not been opened or used and asked if I could return the game and the system for a full refund. The manager herself informed me I could and if I had a problem she would contact Guess relations herself. Next day I bring the system in and ask to speak with said manager low and behold the reps deny her existence and say no manager by that name works at the store. I spoke to a new manager named Paul and explained what the previous manager informed me of. I told him I had the unopened game to return for the 50gift card promotional credit so that Target could refund me the full value of their defective system that I paid for. Paul was impatient and instead of attempting to properly assist me he yelled at me in a threatening manner and shook his fist at me and told me he could give me store credit of 50 dollars for the game and only 200 dollars for the defective system in cash. Which isn't him doing anything as it was the issue I had been fighting all along. Paul's attitude was strange and very out of place and shocked even the employees. He apparently must have thought he spent $278.00 on an product that didn't work instead of myself. I left the store and filed a complaint about his behavior with the head store manager. This was my first experience shopping with Target and as you guess it also my last.

Good Grief...where does Target Call Center get their employees? I spoke with two different people, trying to order an item that I couldn't get accepted through the online order system. Both individuals didn't seem qualified to hold a job. I really felt like I was dealing with idiots.

I WILL NEVER SHOP AT TARGET AGAIN ONCE MY STORE CREDIT IS USED UP!!! 1. I have an eye condition which precludes my driving. I ordered items over $1,000 online at Target. I measured wrong for 10 storage CD organizers and wanted to return them. 2. Someone else at 800# told me Target WILL NOT ACCEPT RETURNS BY CO.'S LIKE UPS IF PCKG. WEIGHT UNDER 100 LBS. Thus, I had to send my driver w/ these bulky items. 3. Lisa at 800# told me my driver would need to return items with my credit card and letter giving credit card authorization. 4. I order all items using my Visa Card through PayPal because I can't see and easier to do instant check-out. Target Returns girl would only give me (my driver) a TARGET GIFT CARD for $149.00, even though she had all receipts and w/in 7 days because "That's their policy w/ Paypal." SHE DID NOT ASK FOR CREDIT CARD NOR CREDIT CARD AUTHORIZATION LETTER. 5. My driver called me and I asked to speak to store mgr. Return girl told my driver that I couldn't speak to mgr. because I was not in the store. 6. I called the store mgr. of the W. Hollywd. Store, Hilda. HILDA WANTED TO HELP, BUT SHE WAS UNAWARE OF ALL ONLINE STORE POLICIES. SHE DID NOT KNOW TARGET WOULDN'T ACCEPT DELIVERIES UNDER 100 LBS., NOR THAT A PAYPAL CUSTOMER WHO PAYS AND IS CHARGED THROUGH VISA IS STUCK WITH A STORE CREDIT. She said she would speak to the return agent who would not let me speak to the store mgr. BOTTOM LINE: I DON'T CARE HOW MUCH TARGET DOES FOR THE COMMUNITY! AS A FORMER SCHOOL TEACHER, HEAD START CONSULTANT, AND FASHION AND MARKETING CONSULTANT TO THE LARGEST RETAIL STORES OUTSIDE OF THE U.S. FOR OVER 30 YEARS, YOUR ORGANIZATION DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMER AND YOUR EMPLOYEES ARE POORLY TRAINED. IT IS INEXCUSABLE THAT I WAS CHARGED ON MY VISA, STUCK WITH A STORE CREDIT, MY DRIVER WAS TOLD SHE NEEDED TO BRING INFORMATION THAT WAS NOT REQUIRED, AND THAT YOUR STORE MGR. IS TOTALLY IGNORANT OF YOUR ONLINE POLICIES!!!! I AM TELLING EVERYONE I KNOW NOT TO SHOP AT TARGET!

I received 2 wood end tables that I purchased on-line. They were not packaged or protected well at all. They BOTH ARRIVED BROKEN! I called cust serv to see what they would to help the situation. Here's their offer to me - I repackage, return & wait for my refund - then weeks later, they will ship me 2 more tables. I asked if they couldn't express ship replacements to my Coeur d'Alene, ID Target store. These tables are a gift for my grandaughter's new apartment. They refused. I told them if the new tables were not packaged better, they will arrive broken too. I used to work for UPS and know how those packages are thrown about. 3 different cust service reps refused to give me their employee ID # - which by the way is a consumer protection law so that we can prove who we spoke to. So, I asked for 3 different supervisors throughout the whole process - they gave me their ID #s & agreed that their all reps must not have been properly trained about the ID #s. I have been on hold all morning, trying to get this problem resolved. They refused. I asked for the corp off phone # - which took me right back to the last super I talked too! I asked for the exec office # or email. After told her that I had recorded all our phone calls this morning so that I would have proof for my dispute of the charges and formal legal complaint to the Attny gen office, better business beau. & consumer protection agencies. As soon as she heard that I, too, recorded these calls - she informed me that she had not given her permission. I told her that I had not given them my permission to record me either. She hung up. There's a lot more to the story, including calling The Red Card credit # where they refused to dispute the charges. So, these broken tables will go in the garbage & I will not pay the charges, make the formal legal complaints & dispute any collection actions. I WILL NEVER SHOP AT TARGET OR TARGET.COM AGAIN. If you want broken furniture, that they already have your money for, go ahead & order from Target.com.

I am on this site looking for the ceo's name so I can make a complaint and found the other folks venting here. We just had a terrible experience at our Target in Edwardsville, IL. We attempted to take back an appliance that has begun to malfunction and was very rudely told we should have returned it within the dates on top of the reciept. There we stood with the orginal reciept and the orginal packaging to the item. The customer service members Fran and Keith made it clear in the rudest way possible, they would not help us. Even though I tried to explain that it was not used often and we just noticed the malfunction. We are senior citizens so I am sure we looked like the type that would be dishonest. In fact I worked for a local competitior as the retail theft coord. for this area. I am so angry at how I was treated that I will never go back to Target.

I went into the St. Petersburg target (Tyrone) to check on some items I saw on clearance and was told would be marked down even further today. There were 9 other woman doing the same thing and the team members ( far from it) were making comments about how they weren't going to that dept. because there were people waiting. I asked a team member in health and beauty if she had marked everything down on the top shelf and she snapped my head off. A team member came to the dept. where we were all waiting and she called on her walkie for help and the person answered with " tell them we aren't marking down until tomorrow. Why would a team member come to mark things down and when she called for help be told it would be done tomorrow. We were waiting patiently for someone to assist us for over an hour and a half. One of the ladies went to customer service only to return saying the manager of the store and the manager of the department were rude and that they wouldn't help. I have seen a HUGE decline in the customer service at target and I always shop there. I don't like the crowds at most WalMarts but have decided that I will shop there just for the better customer service. Continue to treat customers like you are and you will continue to lose customers. I am very displeased with my experience today.

I will never log onto Target.com again. It is a hard website to navigate and does not give needed information when trying to order a clearance item. I wanted to check out the kids Spy Wristwatch. When I found it, it showed up on clearance at a real good price. Tried to figure out how to order it. Even called a friend to look at the site. No luck there either. Went to the store to ask for the price. No way. Same company but they don't honor the website price. Called the 800# to order. Was told they were no longer in stock. Two company employees said that they have had had trouble ordering from the site. Would you think that maybe someone who designed the site could show how many sale items they have available in stock and as they are ordered, the number available would be decreased. There I go thinking again. Target now has another irate customer who will pass the word of their poor customer service. Seems like Target is getting too big for its britches. There are a lot of other stores out there who would like my business. I don't appreciate being bounced around. My buck is good anywhere.

Target, Your shopping experience used to be second to none. Now it is bait and switch. From ridiculosly low prices on phantom merchandise on the web to lack of pharmacy stock. And what have happened to your managers? hanover , kingston and abington mass. Managers stink. I am shopping at walmart where i hare to shop but everything there is in stock. Come on Target hire some new people and stop the scam jobs. 15 year customer no more Tracey in mass.

I was in the Stow Ohio Target purchasing two carts of items;several clothing items. i had the items seperated and the cashier was a very nice girl and as she was ringing things out i asked if i could keep the hangers and she said sure. i had taken two sweaters off the hangers and was holding them. all of a sudden a lady cashier named DOT came over and grabbed them from me. i was startled and looked at her asking what she was doing. she said she was taking the hangers. i told her that i was going to keep them and she said that i was not allowed(i always do in the store). i explained the cashier said that i could and she said NO she then grabbed a sweatshirt from my cart and yanked the hanger out stretching the neckline and tossed it on the belt. then she started going through my cart and pulling out hangers and throughly messing the cart up. i asked her again what she was doing and she said she was getting the hangers out. i told her to please not as i had things seperated and did she take another sweater out. she said she had no idea and i said i had things seperated. she asked the nice cashier jessie and she pulled it out of the bag. i explained again i had three seperate orders. DOT kept on going through the cart and got all of the nineteen hangers and was very rude and would walk over and put them in a bin at another resister. i felt like a thief with her. i then found another hanger and followed her calling out, DOT and she turned. i told her she had forgotten one and that she was very nasty. she shook the hanger at the cashier as she came back and said, she said i am nasty@! she then proceeded to go to the service desk and manager and tell them. she was loud and very horrible! another lady came over and said she refuses to get into DOT's line as she is nasty...i can see why! i spoke with the manager and asked her about the hangers, she hem hawed around and said well usually if the customers asked but they recycle them. i told her not only was i embarassed but the cashier was also. and that i had three orders and she messed them up and stretched the necks. DOT is older with white hair and short and plump. she should never EVER be working with the public...a horrible nasty person and one who thinks she is a top cashier and makes the others feel very bad. jessie then pointed out the manager to me and said that she was new but was trained to give hangers if asked. it's not the matter of the hangers but how i was treated and how she treated the cashier and made a complete fool of herself. this was on jan 7, 2011 about three pm.

On January 6, 2012, I dropped off a new prescription to the Target Pharmacy at 30340 Haun Rd., Menifee, CA 92584. I returned two days later on January 8, 2012 to pick up my prescription. I gave them my name and birth date and after about ten minutes of searching the staff explained that my prescription couldn’t be found. I insisted that they continue to look because now the situation would require me to miss a day of work to visit my doctor again to have another prescription written. I would also be required to pay a co-pay amount for this additional visit. The staff requested my doctor’s name and after several minutes and much searching my new prescription application and the prescription was finally located. The prescription wasn’t filled and the staff was concerned that someone previously working on my prescription might have set it aside because there was a problem with it. I was told that the pharmacist on duty was on break and that when this person returned would look into it and I would be contacted later that day on a resolution. I waited three hours but wasn’t contacted so I called the pharmacy. I was told then that the pharmacist didn’t know why my prescription was set aside and there didn’t appear to be a problem with it. I was also told it was ready and I could pick it up at my earliest convenience. My question is why wasn’t I contacted during the two days prior to my return if there was a problem with my prescription? If there wasn’t a problem with it, why was it misplaced? Also, why wasn’t I contacted like I was promised when a resolution regarding my prescription was found? This was my first and last time I will ever have a prescription filled at a Target Pharmacy. I will never recommend Target's pharmacy services to anyone and will do everything I can to discourage anyone from using their pharmacy services. I have always had a pleasant shopping experience at Target in the past but this incident has left me frustrated and has greatly diminished my opinion of Target. In spite of the location and convenience, I will consider other places to shop in the future.

I always shop in target and I have been looking for IPOD touch 8 gigs to purchase and I can't even get one to buy. I did a search on the their websites and realised that most target stores are currently out of stock. What is going on. Why can't they make this product available so we can buy. This very FRUSTRATING.

Do not order from Target online! I did using my debit card, and when I checked my account, I was double charged on two items. Each double charge listed a different 800#. When I contacted each number: the first person couldn't answer why I was double charged, so he gave me another number to call; that number turned out to be the call line for a Target credit card. So, I called the second 800 number: that person told me my account was charged "a preauthorization charge" that should "go away" in 7-10 days. My order did not state anywhere that I would incur a "preauthorization charge." Seeing that I wasn't getting anywhere, I asked for a Supervisor & was given another 800 number. When the third person couldn't help, he actually transferred me to a Supervisor, who insisted my checking account was not double charged on two items. When I asked for Target's Corporate phone number, she said she was it. Finally, she said I'd have to "file a dispute with my bank." I spent an hour and a half to get nowhere. I will never order from Target or shop in their stores, and when anyone asks my opinion of Target, I'll be passing on my shoddy experience! Oh, by the way, I Googled a contact number for Target's Corporate headquarters, and when I called, I got the same recording as the other 800 numbers. So, apparently Target doesn't have an administrative customer service department.

Target @ El Con Mall in Tucson, AZ Target has horrible customer service at this location. I have been consistantly disappointed with the lack of customer service at this particular Target. I was purchasing a clearance item, marked 70% off, the price at the register didn't come up when the clerk scanned the barcode...rather than the employee find out the correct price she made up a price....of course I declined the item at all since I had no idea if it was the 70% off price ??? Then I stopped at the Starbucks inside of Target. I ordered a grande mocha latte. The clerk said are you sure you don't want a "skinny" it is less calories, I was not sure what the implication was, I said just the regular is fine, to which the clerk replied, "it's a good thing this isn't California." Are you kidding me Target??? This is the best trained professional coffee guy you got for me to get my $5 coffee......I was just about to forget about my last trip to Target where your 50% off Christmas cards wrang up full price, causing me a return trip to your store, where your return cashier refused to honor the price that was clearly marked 50% off, she said it wasn't in the computer. Really.....I had to drive back 2x for a $2.50 difference that you wont honor. The sign said 50% off...I got 2 sets of cards, one wrang up 50% off, the othere didn't??? That's my problem is basically what you are telling me. Well after consistant bad manners on your part, you should be ashamed of your horrible business practice you corporate bully ! I wont be returning anytime soon. And b.t.w.can you move the bike rack outside AWAY from the smoking area....why should I on my bike have to breath in toxic nasty smoke !

Just to add my comment to the person who wrote about Target San Jose CA stores moving away from plastics (since the city mandated it) and charging 10 cents for paper bags. I do believe not using plastics in retail stores and making people pay for paper bags is a good way to "discipline" people to carry their own reusable bags whenever they go shopping or at least keep some in their cars (if they feel the urge to drop by a store all of a sudden). It may be a tad inconvenient but it's more green in the long run. I know people are hard up these days due to economic recession and every penny counts, but I see it as a good way to make people more conscious, environmentally and financially, in the way they shop. But here's my beef about how Target is handling it. I mean, if you're going to charge your shoppers 10 cents for paper bags you better make sure that you at least provide us with bigger sized paper bags. The ones I've seen in a store today was so small (my god, smaller than the regular grocery store paper bags!), you couldn't fit big items in it. You are a BIG BOX STORE for crying out loud! YOU NEED BIG PAPER BAGS. People buy big items from you such as boxed small kitchen appliances, boxed plates and dishes, boxed small electronics etc. and other items that require large containers. I saw one lady in line, she bought a new PS3, guess what, it can't fit in the stupid small-sized paper bag. The poor lady had such a hard time lugging it out of your store looking like she just shoplifted it. She was willing to pay your 10 cent bag but you don't have a big enough bag for her. Your cashier should have the option of offering paper bags and those HUGE reusable bags that other store charge $1 or $2 for. I purchased glassware from your kitchen department and they are big and heavy and yes, they didn't fit in your dinky paper bag. But I got my Whole Foods bags to put them in so it wasn't a problem for me. But really, selling a dinky 10 cent bag is useless, especially if most of your shoppers tend to buy a lot of stuffs or mostly bulky stuffs that wouldn't fit in them. Even if they choose to buy 10 of these bags, it's not practical. It just makes you look like you're trying hard to be a hip, boutique store.

My Laptop has Internet Explorer 8 installed. It also has Windows XP. Why can I get any site I wish in the world with the sole exception of TARGET STORES?????? It has only happened over over recent months. WAKE UP TARGET YOU ARE LOOSING BUSINESS...........

Target shouldn't be charging customers for bags. I realize that starting Jan. 1st, 2012 San Jose Ca. has to change from Plastic. But I sincerely believe that Target shouldn't being charging for bags. Their are alot of people unemployed, seniors and limited income people who by target charging for bags whould put a strain on their budget. It starts with .10 per bag before long it will be something far more than the .10. I know that I will not pay for bags at any store. I will shop where I don't have to pay for the bags. Carrying our own bags to the stores is inconvenient. Just give paper bags. I believe in our environment and I'm glad that plastic is on the way out.

I have been trying to access the target.com website for months now. I have downloaded the newest versions for internet explorer for my version of windows (xp) multiple time and yet I still cannot get on the website. I used to be able to get on it with my laptop, but I no longer have internet access on it since my wireless router quit working. I have expressed my disapointment with the website to the customer service representives both on the phone and in the store and have gotten the same answer which is that they have no control over the website because it is through a different company or something like that. I have missed payments to my Target card due to not being able to do them online and I was unable to leave the house since I was super pregnant or in the hospital having my baby. I also have pretty much stopped shopping at Target since I cannot access the website to compare prices with other stores. I used to love Target, now I find myself prefering to go to Shopko or even Toys r us over going to Target.

I looked at tags in Target in the city of Warren and could not find anything that I looked at saying made in the USA. All were from China and other countries. What is wrong with that picture, we need made in America items. Please start looking at the tags and demand that the store carry MADE IN AMERICA or you will go else where and keep going else where till you can find MADE IN AMERICA. We all need to work so things have change soon, every one can help things turn around.
