I have given up on your credit services. With no balance on a Red Card, my card was refused at a local Target store. I called your credit service and I was told that it takes 3 weeks to process a payment. I asked the person if they thought I was stupid as the money had been taken 3 weeks previous to my call and that there was no balance showing on the card. The service person hung up on me. I attempted to resolve this credit problem 3 separate times and finally I had no balance on the Red Card and decided it was no longer worth the effort of trying to reslove the problem with your credit service. So after 3 more calls, I had to threaten the final person with leagal action to cancel the Red Card. After the way I was treated, you will never see me or any of my family at a Target store. I'm thinking of contacting the States Attorney Generals office to register a complaint to warn other consumersabout your practices.

Today I came across this at target .when I went to purchase every box they told me this is not the price. The guy at the store would not honor this advertised price and told me if it would have been 3.79 then they would have honored it. same difference! He then said I could have change it. HELLO I'M NOT EVEN TALL ENOUGH LET ALONE WHERE WOULD I GET A 3.799? THEN PROCEEDS TO TELL ME HE WON'T HONOR IT AND I'M HARASSING HIM AND THAT IT'S PRIVATE PROPERTY AND I MUST LEAVE! I'm out raged! I called the guest relations # they gave me and that # tells me to talk to the manager at the store and there's nothing they can do. So who do I talk to? it's not my fault they don't do their jobs right. I deserve this and the way they made me feel like a criminal! I wrote down "I mr. Harris (employee name) am not going to sell pampers diapers at the displayed price of $3.799 because 3.799 is not a valid price. He wouldn't sign it but I asked him if it was correct he said yes but i'm not signing it. Security workerd started getting loud and upset so I told them i'm taking this to the media because obviously I wasn't getting anywhere. Who do I speAK to? I asked the employee who he calls when there is a problem he replies guest relations and guest relations tells me to refer to manager.....shhheeeeesssshhh

Your a good store and been in my town of Batavia, Illinois for over 20 years. I did Christmas shopping there and shopping spree about two weeks ago. We just read the above complaint from Roberts, and we have had a very similar experience. My daughter-in-law purchased a IPAD for my son for Christmas from Target. He never opened it, and went into Hospice in early January. On January 13th he passed away. My daughter-in-law then planned his memorial service, consoled her children and ourselves, brother and sisters and as a result returned the IPAD two days after the expired time (to be sarcastic, directed at Target, I can't understand why she might not have had in mind the date that an IPAD should have been returned!) At any rate they refused to give her the money back on it. After calls to Corporate headquarters by ourselves and others in the family, they have still refused. Is Target that hard up, that a $499.99 purchase would put them into banruptcy or are they that hardhearted that compassion is a foreign language to them. jWhat is wrong with these people???!!! Horrible customer service to a grieving family!!!!!! WALMART HERE WE COME!! Target has seen our backs!

I am on my 26th call to Target. I ordered a sofa and Target sent me a table. I have spoken with people all over the world and they make things up so that they can get me off the phone. It has been 2 months and I do not have a refund. The "supervisors" have lied to me. The "managers" swear they will get back to me. I also have three big boxes to return to Target that have been on my porch for 4 weeks. @ $900.00 out to Target. Something needs to be DONE ABOUT THESE PEOPLE!

I received a Kindle for Christmas from my husband. Didn't know if I wanted to keep it. However, my husband passed away January 17. I tried to return it only to be told the 45 days was up (12) days ago and they could not do anything. It had never been opened, We all know something could have been done...they JUST WOULD NOT DO ANYTHING. Soi HAVE A KINDLE, 2 YR WARRENITY, NOTEBOOK AND 2 TWENTY- FIVE DOLLAR CARDS, that I will probably never be able to make myself use...THANKS TARGET FOR YOUR LACK OF COMPASSION.

NEEDS TO BE ZERO STARS OPTION! Target has put me through the most ridiculius and painful non-effective handling of a customer service issue I have can imagine. After being sold a defective stereo, I exchanged the item to only be given a second defective stereo. But when I exchanged that one was told I could not exchange it for the same price it would be 45 dollars more. They also told me since the first exchange was not done coorectly in the system that they could not find the order in the system to exchange it. The store manager gave me a 800 customer disservive line to call and I spent the next 4 hours being transfered, disconnected, and told "there is nothing I can do" I still have a broken stereo and no help. Not one person offered me the help I needed which was simly to send me a valid receipt for the purchase that I could take to the store although all of them (9 reps in total) could find my order and verify the purchase.

I just went to the Target store at Ward Parkway in Kansas City MO which is "supposed" to be undergoing "renovations". It is as filthy as a pig sty and should be reported to the Board of Health. It would look bad in a Third World country. I am disgusted.

Golly, Target officials must not read these postings. It's so sad. Target had done such a great job of marketing themselves. The people on the floor will help. It's the return department that causes ill feelings toward Target. A simple retraining would go a long way. The cashier is talking to others behind the counter, nudging each other, talking about plans to party, teasing, flirting while roboticaly scanning the return item. No speaking to me, no smile, no "How can I help." I had a baby shower item to return to the Target Store on Roswell Road in Atlanta, Georgia (Sandy Springs.) He scanned the item and said 5.99. I said I don't think that's right because there was one I returned from Babies R Us and it was 16.00. His response was a terse "We are not the same stores." I said I knew that but they should be close in price. He repeats, "5.99." I went on the floor and saw one that was 19.99. Asked someone to come with me to the desk. They got the manager and she said I needed a receipt. I said it was a gift but should we use their baby registry to find the item. OK but our computers are down. I suggest I go home and print it off and she says that will work. I drive home, find it was bought on sale for 15.99, drive back to the store. She says oh no you need to print the receipt. I am so livid because they are stealing 10.00 from my daughter who only should get what was paid. All this over 10.00. I now am an ambassador for shopping anywhere but Target. It makes no sense. It would have been so simple to at least look at the customer, listen, and have a helpful attitude. Even a simple,"I'm sorry," when I first arrived would probably prevented the whole scenario. It is telling that I can't find anywhere to contact Target about their performance.

i was injuryed at target and now im getting the run around. i was there shopping. they only want to give me a little money. i tried to do it the nice way. now i guess that i have to get an attorney. wow

I tried to return 5 SD cards I had purchased around Christmas time. My receipt said I had until 3/8/12. I was told I could not return the items because they were electronics and I only had 45 days to return them. It was 47 days when I went to return them, 2 days passed the date, and they still would not let me return them for the price I paid. I would have been fine with a merchandise credit. I call costumer service and was told over and over that it was policy and they would not do anything to help me. To lose a good customer over policy is ridiculous. I will not shop there again. Apparently policy is more important then costumer satisfaction.

BAIT AND SWITCH. TARGET PUTS ITEMS SUCH AS CAT LITTER IN ITS ADS AND PROMISES A $5 GIFT CARD IF TWO (OR ANOTHER ITEM IN THE AD) IS PURCHASED. WHEN THE ITEM IS PURCHASED, ONE FINDS THAT THERE IS A LARGER SIZE WHICH IS NOT COVERED BY THE AD BUT IS STOCKED NEARBY AND LOOKS ALL BUT IDENTICAL. OF COURSE, TIES GO TO THE CORPORATION. OF INTEREST IS THE OBVIOUS MANAGEMENT POLICY ON CLEARANCE ITEMS. APPARENTLY THE MANAGEMENT MANUAL STATES THAT ANY ITEM PRICED BELOW LIST PRICE IS A CLEARANCE ITEM (REGARDLESS OF WHAT EVER PERCENTAGE IS TAKEN OFF.) 15% IS NOT A CLEARANCE- IT'S NOT EVEN A GOOD SALE! SERIOUSLY, TARGET FOLKS, IF YOU WANT TO EAT WALMARTS LUNCH THEN YOU BETTER START MAKING YOUR CUSTOMERS HAPPIER (TIE GOES TO THE CUSTOMER???)

Target has gone down the drain! I CAN'T believe how rude and under qualified cashiers are and their so called managers are flirtling with stupid! They all need to take a weeks worth of classes and glue their coupon policy to their damn foreheads! I left walmart for the crowds...target has got it go!

On Jan 23, 2012 I went in with my family to the Pace,FL store to pick up dog food. I had coupons for the dog food so I decided to pick up ten of them. These items were not on ad. I went to the checkout and the lady from the concession area came to ring me up due to the lines being backed up. I presented the coupons and she had to step away to take care of the customer at her area. She called the Asst. Store Manager over to finish my checkout and he said you can't get more than five of them because we limit the right to sell the products in the store.I said where is this policy and he stated it behind the customer service desk. No such policy was in place, nothing in writing at all. I said what if I do another transaction? No this applies to the group your in. I then asked to speak to the store manager. She came to the front and I told her what had happened. She told me that the corporate office gives each store the right to limit the number of items we think you need. I said where is this policy? She stated its not in writing but this is what corporate states. I told her that the Asst. Manager said its because we are in a group and can not get more than five. She stated that this policy is per individual not a group. I said ok, I have two additional people in my party can they buy them since this applies to the individual not a group? I have my wife and my son who is two. She told me my son does not count because of his age. She said No! it won't be fair for others who would want to buy the merchandise. If you want you can come back later today or tomorrow and buy the merchandise. Why can't I buy it now I asked? Same response as before. I asked for the corporate number and they gave me 1800-440-0680. The response from them was the store has the right to limit what they think you need as a family. Again, nothing in writing same line from the supervisor on the same number. Scott the supervisor told me that he was the highest level there and he was sorry but nothing could be done. Corporate will follow the actions of the store not the customer. WHY DO WE ALLOW THIS? STOP THIS AND TAKE YOUR MONEY TO ANOTHER RETAILER.

I was recently terminated by Target for a situation that I agree I was at fault, but it wasnt diliberate, I was a Senior Team Lead and was covering an Electronics Team members break in wich a Female came in and purchased two I pads, during the recent Holidays. I did the transactions in which alot of gift cards were involved, that being said some where during the transaction two gift cards did not get recieved by the guest,after I have encountered in the past when this has happened I decided I was going to keep the gift cards until the guest came back, Not using my best judgement i purchased some stuff for the Holidays which I got a gift card as well, long story short i went to purchase my lunch during a shift and used the wrong gift card, not realizing my mistake I was pulled into the office at which they let me work a full shift and then let me take a day off, and then let me work another full shift before letting me go. I accept the fact that I used poor judgement, but I did in fact buy a gift card to replace the guests, They stated that it was a violation of Target policy, and that automatic termination was the punishment, I get that and I can accept the fact that i was terminated but this store does alot of things that are against policy, They manipulate numbers and inventory to make themselves look better then they really are, It is a very poorly ran store with people who are about themselves. The matter I was talking about earlier in this message was that I rendered a Gift card to the Ap and it was not communicated back to me what was done ,I questioned it sevral times I bet it was used by a Team member of management.

I am furious with the scam Target has going as of Jan 20th when trying to call in and make a phone/bank payment as I have been doing for some time. The call is transferred to a call center who then tries to hard sell you the 'free' bonus you won for just calling in. If you tell them you don't want the bonus the just try harder, despite the language barrier! I ended up spending my own dime and called three different numbers in the 612 area code and I KNOW I ended up back at the call center but the guy knew better than to try to sell me the 'free' bonus and took my payment. I just got off the web and here is just one of Target's problems: “In 2005, Target opened a facility in Bangalore, India that supports all Target business units. The Corporation has plans to continue to expand their operations in India with new office buildings. The Corporation also continues to grow by expanding its number of stores.” So they take our jobs overseas and give them to highly UNTRAINED people and pat themselves on the back about how they give to the local communities where the stores are located. I say bring back our jobs and get out of India and for goodness sake, train call center employees where ever they are...grrrr

I shopped at target in scarbororough Ontario and was checked out by a very rude and argumentive salesperson. I was stating a error in pricing and would have left it at that but she continued to mutter rude comments and snarky comments. When I asked to speak to a manager I was refused. I have her name and info from the receipt, and would like to complain to higher ups in the company, or will never step into these stores as they advance into Canada

I received some gift cards to use for my kids, to payoff the holiday charges on my redcard. I went up to the clerk and after waiting in the line to make the payment I told the lady what I needed to do she told me NO, It was against store policy! And that I should read the back of the gift card paper next time. I explained that a family member gave us the cards, and said to use them to help pay down the bill I owed for the kids or use for household items we go through the most. I told this lady "Laura" that my kids don't wear the clothes too small, she said "we sell other goods here!" I feel that they are like any other type of payment I told her back! She told me to call the Target Customer Service Number. I just want them to make it right for us the consumer!!!

Unable to connect to the REDCARD bill pay on-line? What happened? Not a fan of Target anyway, much more expensive than Walmart. Calling is useless .... Remember why I stopped using this card previously, will stop again .... Good-bye TARGET
