Target is the only store in my area that asks i.d. for 52 year old people to buy beer... how ridiculous is that... its very obvious your way over 21... just more stupidity from target...
I think Target has done a good job with customer relations from my experience and have been great to deal with when returning something. WalMart on the otherhand has become very $ focused and have been difficult to deal with when trying to return something. My issue with Target is Onhand inventory being very low when it comes to products that typically are sold in quantities. My wife has had to drive to four Targets and still cant complete a window treatment project for three rooms. I know that companies have to watch their capital but this seems like poor buying. Home decor seems to be the issue with many of the products sold.
I bought a new HP Printer for my daughter who is at college, the ink cartridges were suppose to be included. They were not. The Target Manager where her college is located gave my daughter one black cartridge for free to get her started. It was a nice compromise. She did not have to do that, but it showed great customer service. I have not had a problem with Target and love shopping there.
On September 29, 2012, I went to a Target Store and purchased a variety of items. With this purchase, three forms of payment were used: a Target Gift Card ($40.00), an American Express Gift Card ($25.00), and my personal Chase Bank Debit Card ($49.08). I returned a dress I purchased to the store and noticed days later that the Target cashier credited the refund for $27.05 to the American Express Gift Card, and not my personal Chase Bank Debit Card. The issue is: the Target and American Express Gift Cards were used and thrown away by the Target cashier as all of the monies had been used. There was no need for me to keep gift cards that had no money on them. I am requesting the $27.05 be credited back to my personal Chase Bank Debit Card or a Target Gift Card issued to me for $27.05 – your choice. If you notice on the receipt (Receipt ID: 2-2271-1459-0077-7961-6), some of these funds were used to purchase formula for my 3 month old baby. Formula is expensive and $27.05 is $27.05, enough to purchase a can of formula for my baby. I made contact with the Target Staff and Guest Relations staff on Monday (10/8) of last week and still have not received an answer after several repeated phone calls. The Reference ID # given to me is: 3-839-440-007. I was initially informed that staff would contact me within 3 business days. They did not contact me on Thursday (10/11) or Friday (10/12). I contacted them on Saturday morning and was told to call back on Monday (10/15). It is now Monday and I have received no feedback from Target staff that makes logical sense. I am being told that Target does not keep track of its transactions; however, I find that difficult to believe. Target had no problem deducting the $49.08 from my debit card (you were able to track that), so I don’t understand why its software is unable to track the refund for $27.05 owed to me. It is not the fault of the customer that your registers refund money to gift cards when a debit card was used on the same transaction. I was a frequent shopper of Target, but I must admit, I am deeply disappointed in the way that I have been treated with regards to this return and this transaction. No one has been able to assist me and I find that disheartening. I would like to know how your company plans to provide service recovery to a frequent shopper. Thanks.

Target online ordering is a joke I ordered 3 items Target put on hold in my bank account for these three items which had not yet been shipped. Target shipped one item put that amount again on my bank account to hold. I called they said they would be reversing the amount when I received the item and this could happen for each item if not shipped at the same time. I told them I wanted to cancel the other two items that had not yet been shipped. Targets representative said they could not do that I had to cancel within 30 minutes after I ordered the items. You talk about crazy. Target you will never get my business and I hope no one who reads this will ever order online from you GET IT TOGETHER!
I will no longer support a company that advertises on a show like "the new normal". This is beyond what is right. This show is all about perversion, and to think you support it is pervereted as well....Kmart and wal-mart, here I come!!!!
I must admit after reading the other stories about their expiences at the Target store, mine probly seems trival but still not to me.With the return policy as it is, I bought a pair of shoes for the granddaughter, returned them new still in the box and still even attached together, because they were returned after the 90 days--they kept $6 of the money.Very unfair I think!I had bought them for the granddaughter for school but when school time came, they were too small. Her foot grew fast--still money is hard to come by.The shoes were just as I bought them!!! Also another time I went in and bought something and was at the check-out, she stated the total price and I said , oh I have a coupon for $3, then she stated the price again after taking the $3 off, it was the same minus the $3, she said it was their policy to still charge tax, even on the 3 coupon.THAT WAS TOTALLY WRONG.THEY ARE SAYING THAT IF I BROUGHT IN A COUPON FOR $20 OFF THAT THEY WOULD STILL CHARGE TAX FOR THAT $20---SO VERY-VERY WRONG!!THIS IS AT THE TARGET STORE IN JACKSON MICHIGAN.
I was a little late on my payment and then a week after i mailed it they kept calling me every hour and being very rude. They called every hour and when I called in they told me to just make another payment over the phone.
i got an empty box and called to say there was nothing in it and the idiot in India said it had shipped and it was on my front porch now...
Got home part missing from package that was with item in the store. Called store after waiting 10 ring the women who answered said she was very busy and what did I want. On line the costumer service phone number is out of service. Rude Rude Rude no wonder on a Saturday afternoon the store in Yorkville, IL. was empty.
Iordered a printer on line 9/16/12 order #1069542711 ups tracking # 1z6y50egyw10074444 this has not been delivered. I will never order from target again. my phone # 805 494-1993
I have EXCELENT Credit and they continue to tell me that I can only have a $500 credit limit.. crazyyyyyyyyyy and they will be the first one to slap you with a $35 over credit limit fee if you go above your allowance. I guess they don't want you to spend money at their store, especially during the holiday time..
Target pharmacy is holding my insulin, and won't transfer it to another pharmacy. If you call corporate all they say is that they will "log the call" and do nothing else.
Called Target online on August 30th to inquire about a dvd I ordered on August 20th that was released on August 21st. No one could give me an acceptable explanation regarding my order. Today I cancelled the ordered and reordered it and call Customer service online again....the same dumb responses. I am highly disappointed with the quality of customer service at Target.com Target don't take you customer's for granted...you see what's happening to K-mart.
Today I learned that some has used my debit card in a target store in California. I live in Georgia. When I contacted them about the fraudulent charges I was told there was nothing that they could do. Someone please explain to me how you let a customer walk into your store, tell you their debit number, run it as credit and never ask for an ID.
If I can only give a ZERO to Target. 1. HORRIBLE costumer service. Their so call "Guest Relations" phone line is a complete nightmare. 2. They are layers, and dishonest with customers. 3. No one in the entire company seems to care for the issues. For those and many more reasons Target has lost my business. I now shop at any other store but Target.
Today I went into the Target at Tempe Marketplace to buy a 60inch Sharp Aquos TV that is on sale. I first saw the TV in another Target store but needed to measure before buying it. In both stores the diplay on the TV said free setup and delivery. Couln't Find a salesman but finally chased one down. The feloow was so ill informed that he didn't even know there was a TV stand in the box. Guess he can't read. I was told they didn't have any more but there were lots of Target stores in town so I could drive around and find one. They would not try to locate one for me. Then I was told that, even though the TV was advertising "free delivery and setup" they didn't do that but they would refer me to an outside service who charges 249+ to deliver and attach the cable. Anything else is extra. I was told to go to Best Buy and get the TV. I asked to speak to the manager. In response someone set over a cutsie little girl whose reaction to the whole thing was "Oh My Goodness" When I stated that as a long time Target customer I probably wouldn't come back she said "That's too bad". Guess business must be really good. It is no wonder people aren't spending money!
Will never shop at Target again and will cancel my baby registery!!!! dont have something on shelf and not sell it!!!!!!!! or give me that price!!!!!!!!!!!!! So done--you just lost alot of customers because this is only place I registered!
And now I know why their stores are always empty. HORRIBLE customer service! Target has no idea how valuable the customer is, they just think another one will come by. Cant wait until they get put out of business.
