you know what i hate..when people sit there and love to put servers and restaurants down. i think that everyone should be a server once in their life so they know that those people that are working their..are trying their hardest to get by with the TIPS that people leave. how can you sit there and compain and complain over and over again. we have a very long procedure to getting hired and its not easy. i am a student and i love being a server even when we have the rudest people sometimes and they dont tip a penny. learn that we get paid 2.13 an hour and our money pretty much is based on tips..no matter how bad an economy is if your really having trouble why go out to eat? STOP COMPLAINING and just be nice an friendly>because you will get treated how u treat others. IT MAKES me sick to know all these people act like they live in mansions and they think they are better then servers. we are humans too we have feelings and we have bad days. we do our best to manage even at our worst times.and no one is perfect. so even if you have one bad day, suck it up and deal with it. take it and learn from it. im sure you have pissed people off before too and done something wrong. we forget we mess up we are human. so dont expect us to always do everything right we try as hard as we can to cater to your needs. you dont need to put us down while your at it. we have enough problems to worry about. you HAVE no idea what we go through every day just to get by. im trying to pay for my college with this money, and u have the nerves to sit there and say this stuff? you cant expect everyone to always have a great day. its not fair to take us for granted. everyone deserves another shot..and not to mention tgi fridays is a great place to eat and work. the people are amazing and the atmosphere is laid back and fun. so just try to make a servers day and be nice. dont complain, and if u do be nice about it. they will do their best to fix it. and yes we all know there are some people who shouldnt be servers but you know what everyone deserves a chance. so stop being so grumpy and live life for once..ok...and to the person about the id thing no matter if your 21 or 99 shouldnt that make ur day when someone ids you..be nice for gods sake. we are ONLY HUMAN.
Had dinner at TGI Friday's in Silver Spring MD last night with my fiancee and my mother. Service was good; I have no complaints, but I do have a question. When we placed our drink orders shortly after being seated, our waitress asked to see ALL our ID's! I'm 49 years old, my fiancee 46, and my mother is 81! The waitress explained that a new Maryland law states that anyone convicted of a DUI offense must have a mark placed on their driver's license, and anyone with such a mark on their license cannot be served alcoholic beverages in a bar or restaurant. I can understand and appreciate the what this law (if in fact it exists) is trying to accomplish, but there are several bugs in the law. First, what if a person (such as my mother) has no driver's license? It's not mandatory for anyone to have a driver's license, so how does TGIF decide whether or not to serve alcohol to a non-driver? Second, what if a person has the aforementioned DUI mark on his license, but arrives at the restaurant in a cab? He's not driving, but because of that mark, he can't have a drink. Something tells me that the particular restaurant I visited is having trouble with underage drinkers, and they've simply adopted their own "card EVERYONE" policy. I'll be doing more research to find out if Maryland does have this requirement to mark the licenses of DUI offenders. In the meantime, has anyone else heard anything like this?
Store 1195 - Williamsburg, VA I visited your establishment on Saturday, November 13, 2010 at 1:07pm. I have never experienced such rude and unprofessionalism behavior. We had a total of 4 in our party, 3 adults and 1 child age 11. We asked our waitress for extra napkins she immediately had an attitude and became frustrated. My husband and I eat out at least 2 times a week. We often visit TGI Fridays because I enjoy eating Jack Daniels sauce on my baby back ribs. The waitress never refilled our drinks. Jeannie never came over once our food arrived at our table to ensure If the order was correct or if we needed anything additional. When we were done eating, Jeannie has us waiting at least 20 minutes for the check. I have been waiting for a response from the general manager for over a month now. He said he would gather up information from the waitress and my check and contact my husband and I regarding the situation. I emailed him yesterday morning and still no response. If this is how you treat your customer who visits your establishment on a weekly basis. I will take my business elsewhere. I'm quite sure Red Lobster will be glad to accept my money.
My four friends and I visited recently visited New York City to enjoy the Holiday spirit. We did all the tourists events and thoroughly enjoyed our experience, until we visited the TGI Friday's at Times Square. We chose your restaurant because our experience in Louisville, Ky. had always been very satisfying. The prices were very expensive even for New York and the food was very poorly prepared. The only bright spot of our visit was the service. The waitress did a great job. Our meal that night was the only low point of a very anticipated Holiday trip and as Senior citizens we can't repeat the experience.
As I was parking in the parking garage of the Vallco Mall in Cupertino CA last eve. I noticed a GIANT poster hung in the garage stating: "Get $5.00 off of your $15.00 bill with a mall receipt. I was there with several other ladies all at one table. I presented my mall receipt to the server and received the $5.00 off my bill. Since we all had separate bills I mentioned that another lady with me do the same. She did and was told that there was only one discount per table. When I questioned the manager about it he refused to budge and became very insolent and rude stating that "you are lucky to have a discount like this at all...that they could just as well cancel the promotion altogether" I told him that the poster didn't mention anything about only one per table and until it does they should honor everyone who has a mall receipt and a bill to pay or cancel the promotion. I guess we were there to do him a favor and listen to his rude atttitude. I will NEVER patronize that TGI Fridays or any TGI Fridays for that matter. Further, I will tell EVERYONE I know! The manager's name is Shawn. We were there at 6:30 PM on 12/2/2010.
WORST DINING EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE! DONT GO TO FRIDAYS IN MONROEVILLE PA...TRUST ME! ITS TO MUCH TO DESCRIBE, AND FRANKLY, I WANT TO FORGET ABOUT IT!!
The TGIF in Wood Ridge, NJ is the WORST ..... A group of 6 of us went on our 1 hour lunch...I phoned ahead at 11:50am and told Victoria to please have our order ready by 12:15pm since we only get an hour for lunch...Our order was pretty simple (4 hamburgers, lobster mac & cheese and sizzling chicken & shrimp) .... We get there at 12:15 and the waitress (who never gave her name but we did get her attitude) asked us if we wanted our order to be put in now (25 minutes after my call) Are you kidding me???? Then to make things worse @12:30 she says there are only 5 lunches ordered not 6....Again are you kidding me??? What took her 15 minutes to realize there were 6 of us and only had 5 lunches ordered...Beside the place was empty (I don't wonder why after this experience) Also 2 men were upset because their salads had no salad dressing & had to wait 15 minutes to get some ...I spoke to Stephanie the Manager (poor girl needs a raise or a new job) and she did cut the bill in half and gave 3 (not 6) of us a card for a free appetizer or dessert next time we go to TGIF.... Do we really want to go back? NOT likely ... THIS TGIF DESERVES 0 STARS !!!!!!!!
I dined at Fridays located in Franklin, TN on November 13 and receivd a terrible service from the waiter and dining room manager. The food as ok, but something came up through a misunderstanding and the way the handled it was very rude and sarcastic. When I brought it up to the general manager, she did not care and did the same as her employees. I am determined not to dine at Fidays anymore as I am vey unsatisfed with their service.
The waitress I had at the Fridays in Famingham MA on rt. 9 stole money off my credit card. She took my card to run, and came back with the amount I has asked her to swipe. However, little did I know, that she ran the card again, for an additional amount. I called the restaraunt the next day to let them know what happened. It is a month later, and I still have not received a refund of the money she stole from me. Terrible customer service!! Do not go here!!
I have been a regular at the TGIFriday's in Methuen, Mass. at The Loop for over a year now. I have no complaints about the service or food quality. I feel bad to read these reviews of people who don't get the same service I see coming out of the Methuen, Mass. location. The bartenders are always on their game. The wait staff is always on point and the food is excellent.
I went to Fridays in Long Beach and the service seems to get worse with every visit. This was my second time back and my last for sure. The customer service stinks! There was hairs in the food, orders were screwed up, food took an hr to come, our waitress was nowhere to be found and to top it off we still had to give her a 18% gratuity. I'm one of the first to leave a big tip but you have to at least earn it. We did not get one refill so what makes them think she deserved a big tip. It seems to me that the waitresses who know theyre gonna get tipped regardless, don't bother cuz they know the money is in the bank. And in response to TGI Fridays server, if you're tired of people tipping like peasants then maybe you should've give them service like they are! I'm tired of servers thinking they're intitled to a tip just because you took our order. Are you not already compensated by the company? So what makes you think that you're entitled to a tip? A tip is a way of people showing you how good of a job you did and if your getting low tips then I'm sure your customer service is the problem. Remember, a tip is not an obligation but a royalty so be grateful for what you do get!
At the "Crossroads" in Orlando, Fl. I was charged .03 over the bill on my charge card and I do not want my .03 cents back. Lake Buena Vista Store #0096 If done often it would add up at the end of the year. Bernice 4910 Rosewood St. Winter Haven, Fl. 33880 863-294-7743
I am writing you to attempt to help you save your once number one in sales restraunt ( Fridays Firewheel ) before it turns into the rockwall store, which for all of you reading this the rockwall store no longer exists. When I started working for Fridays Firewheel I loved it, everything about it. The Managment was wonderful the staff was wonderful the moral was wonderful. I was with Fridays for 10 months and in those 10 months we went through numerous D.O. changes numerous managment changes and the turn over rate for employees was disaterous. In March of this year anyone could walk into the bar and it would be standing room only....wall to wall people. The customers loved the fact that they could get off work come in get a 2 dollar beer, eat, and have fun not just with the friends they came in with but with the staff. I stood by and slowly watch the bar sales get lower and lower i slowly watched the regular customers become not so regular anymore. Not only does the poor management staff insult employees on the floor in front of customers but they are demeaning. You have entirely to many turn overs with bar managers, it's a different one every month or two. Bar sales aren't down because of the cocktail waitresses or the bartenders, bar sales are down because every other month you guys put a new body with a manager name tag on back there to attempt to do a job they have no idea how to do. This is not only bad for your bar staff but it's terrible for your bar customers. Your employees are having to adapt to every new manager coming in and changing everything the manager before them was doing...they all want things done their own way...well in my opinion it should be done the FRIDAYS way. You have mangers doing liqour counts when they dont even know what or where half of the liqour is...half of the managers can't even tap a keg. How can a manager manage a bar when he/she can't bartend? You
Tgi Friday's in Crystal Lake, IL needs hospitality course. My family decided to celebrate for my daughter's theater performance. There were five of us in the party. Our server was okay. First I felt like we were being rushed. She greets us and asks for the beverage order. Only three of us knew our drink order. She comes back with the soft drinks and asks for our order. We were still reading the cocktail beverage menu. Then she asks for our order. When I told her we need more time. She sighed in disbelief. What's the rush? It was after 9pm. Our food order was taken correctly. She didn't check with us until half way through our meal. Our food came out okay. However, what upset me was the check was presented without me completing my meal. I said to her how rude. Come back with that when I'm done. What if we wanted to sit for a few minutes after our meal than order coffee? Apparently Tgif doesn't allow for there guests to enjoy themselves. Her tip went from 20% to 12% she killed my moment. Remember we pay your paycheck. If it's not for the customers you'd be without a job.
I am writing to make people aware of a situation that took place in Mansfield, Ma. about 3 weeks ago one of their full time employees was in a terrible accident where his legs were no longer attached to his pelvis, along with other injuries. He was a full time employee who often picked up shifts and stayed late to help close and he contibuted to their "Have a Heart" program. Roughly 3 weeks have gone by and he has not even received a card. I suspect that the GM an (x cop) is playing judge and jury. After all don't they practice an employee assistance program or is that pure crap? How can they collect monies for their program and not reach out to help? Because this employee in unable to work, he had to give up his home. My feelings are simple. "let he who has no sin, cast the first stone" This employee needs help! And this restaurant needs a new leader.
Tgi Friday's in Williamsport, PA is the worst ever... The management team is horrible. I was hired on and went through orientation and received 2 schedules that they knew i could not work. When I had two interviews both with managers I made them aware of my school schedule which is from 9-4:30. They said there was no problem with that we could work around it. I even offered to come in for the classroom part and leave school early. I had to call several times and then would receive a schedule through a text message. Who has ever heard of such? I would text and call back because they would have me opening and coming in at all hours I was in school. I was always very kind and nice trying to get to working and they are the most disrespectable people I have ever met in my life. When I went in to get paid for oreintation the manager replied "you have already come and picked up the envelope, which i had not". I was very nice and was just trying to ask why they hired me if they could not work around my school schedule, he yelled at me and said he was not talking to me about anything, in front of customers. Then I asked who the store owners were and he said that their wasn't an owner, but he must have forgotten i went through oreintation and they told me who the owner's were. So therefore he lied and yelled at me. I want to know how to go above the store managers because I was treated DIRTY!!
I stop by TGI Friday’s for lunch today (10/14/2010) in St Louis, Mo downtown area where I had a nice lunch. I was in uniform (Military)I was presented my bill and I notice that the Military discount was not applied I then asked my waiter to find out from there management team if they gave Military discounts to soldiers to my surprise the waiter came back and said no they did not. I just left Minneapolis Minnesota, where the Military discount was 25% off for military personnel, I’ve also travel all over the United States and have received anywhere for 10-15% off at TGI Friday’s . Thanks to all the TGI Friday’s that I’ve attended except the St Louis, Mo downtown area. Chief Warrant Officer Robert Grier.
My parents and I went to the T.G.I. Fridays here in Houston,Tx. over on 1960 near Highway 249, across from Willowbrook Mall. Entering the establishment was nice, we were greeted and seated promptly. That is were the good service ends. The waitress came over and took our drink order, we asked for extra lemons for our drinks and she brought a small plate with four lemon slices on it...she then took our meal order....my mom ordered the appetizer sampler and specifically told her to bring it out with the other meals that my dad and I were going to order. My Mom also said to bring her extra blue cheese dressing, because she can't eat the sour cream that comes with the potato wedges..then my dad ordered the avocado chicken salad, and I ordered the Shrimp Key West. Some waiter, NOT our waitress!!! brings out my mom's sampler and disappears!! My dad and I are sitting there wondering where our meals are!!! We also notice that they put sour cream on the plate instead of the extra bleu cheese dressing that she asked for...My dad and I finally get our meals after about 5 to 10 minutes of waiting...My dads salad hardly has any dressing on it and no avacados!!!! My Shrimp Key West was a let down two skewers of miniture shrimp with no rice and big chunks of broccoli, for the 8.95 price tag I should have gotten a bed of rice with it at the very least!!!!! By this time our waitress was not attending to us anymore, some senior waiter took over for her...and tried to do some damage control by telling us that he would buy us dessert..WE DONT WANT ANY DAMN DESSERT!!! We want our meal to be right the first time!!!! My dad then asked the waiter if the salad he ordered came with crackers or bread. The waiter then told him that those items cost extra!!!! WHAT???!!!! Every restaurant I have ever eaten at gives you complimentary bread if you order a salad. By this time we were so fed up, we got a to go box for the rest of my moms sampler and this senior waiter took $6.00 off the whole bill..my dads and my meal should have been completely comped....In closing, we(my family) will not be patronizing your establishment any more...Further more, in this economy T.G.I.Fridays need to realize people are not going to pay outrageous prices for sub par food, we will get hip to the game you are playing.....So you might want to do something about it before you go out of business.....Thanx for nothing!!!
i live an work in pa which were i work is a hotel an we get room service from tgif the service there is great an the manager byt the name of scott does a very good job.my question i want to ask was why the all american chicken sandwich was taken off the menu. that was a hot seller i ate it once an told all my friends about it an the tried it an loved it.just want to know if the could be brought back on the menu.
