Worst job of my life! Do not work there.
entered burbank store#90448 at 10;15 stylist took my name , she said it would be a 30 minute wait and took her purse and soft drink and left the store for her break leaving me and 2 other custumer's waiting. the outher stylist was busy giving another customer a dye job . i left at 10;35 after the first did not return ,and went to sport clips and got a great haircut and had 2 custumer's ahead of me and i was done in 25 minutes and on my way home .that's what it is like working with professonials
I used to work for super cuts ! And all the bad reviews I have read aren't much different than my experience !! I wil never work for Supercuts or Regis corp ever again ! More wil I ever give them and monetize will never buy product , suggest someone to go there or refer someone who's job seeking ! My advice is to stay away , poor management !! My manager was harrassing me over voicmail and threatened to get me fired cause I knew she was worried she would lose her manager position to me . She was always a B!*#* to me employees and customers !! To the point that it would embarrass me . I haven't been working there for over a month now and thy are trying to keep my earned vacation pay from me and I have tryed to call multiple people they either dont do anything about it , call me back or awnser my calls .
Don't got to super cuts ever !! All neg reviews are accurate ! Don't ever go to super cuts Leduc AB CA
I made an appt with Keisha the mgr fir 10am for color & highlights. I sat thete until 5:30pm ,& left with my hair looking horrible. I wanted blonde highlights & she made them Cooper red. I still had to oay full price $150 later ,& I gave her a $20 tip. I deserve a full refund, a personal apology & a free visiy somewhere else to get my hair fixed. Never again
Aren't they owned by Regis Corp.? If they are, then their management is very poor. Just by skimming through all of these reviews about supercuts it kind of sounds like Mastercuts. I was an employee at Mastercuts and they wouldn't tell us if the store would be closing or not. They finally closed at the ending of January and now I am out of a job. Management at Mastercuts was the worst that I've experienced. My manager did not like me for some reason and she kept trying to embarasse me in front of the customers especially when she had a client in her chair. Whenever, I asked her a question she always told me to figure it out myself. I was like okay, thanks for your help. Ontop of that, she was very unprofessional, she always had stories to share about her weekend adventures that involved lots of alcohol and guys she had fun with. Really? You're the manager and you think people would like to hear that crap? When the District or Regional Manager came for her monthly visits she was always a bi#$%. She always made a scene in the store while customers were present, however she knew how to be-little some of us in front of the customers which made them very uncomfortable. They had this thing at MC where we had to meet a quota of retail sales. If we didn't meet our monthly quota, it was mandatory that we get written up. It's like "for real?" With three write ups we are fired. Umm, I went to Cos. school to learn hair and not to really do retail as my major thing, if I wanted to be in retail I should of gone to school for business. Duh! I think this is the only way these places make their money by pushing stylist to sell retail instead of focusing on the services. These places need to fix their manangement team and hire a professional candidate that will make good changes. These younger manager wants to be in the management team just to have the status, however they lack a lot of professionalism and respect for the ones that are hard-working or trying their best to be in this industry. I am sorry but just because these people that become managers and have more experiences then others it doesn't mean that you're entitled to treat people like nothing. You were at that point once when you came into this industry.
I worked in a Supercuts and it was the worst experience of my life! They were charging people wrongly for services they did not receive, Having employes clock out and work under other employees numbers in order to make the company more money and not get in trouble by the state for not allowing the stylists lunch. The other stylists all had filthy stations and did not even bother to clean their tools between clients! They had told me to do the same and not waste my time cleaning but I did what I knew was right and cleaned my tools regardless. They change your schedule constantly without notice and expect you to come in on your "days off". They did pay me for almost 4 weeks and I had to practically harass them daily to finally get my pay! They sell products to people knowing it won't be good for their hair just to make the money and to have to fix the damage and sell them other products. The entire company is more like a hair factory and they treat the clients like sheep to be sheered! They have no care what the cut looks like as long as they are out the door within 15 minutes! If you are an employee and try to take your time they write you up!!! Do not even bother applying for this company or get your hair done their! They will mess with your integrity! And leave your hair a mess!! The state should close them all down and put an end to this horrendous hair factory they call a salon!!! Quitting was the best thing I have ever done and I will always bad mouth them to everyone I meet!!! Hopefully whoever is reading this will heed my warning!! I'm not done, next I am going to corporate and then to the state!!!

The Supercuts at the Avenues location in Jacksonville, FL is the worse salon that I have ever worked in. The manager initials H.Q. is only concerned about what man she has in her life and cares nothing about the salon. She even told me that the bathroom only has to be cleaned ONCE a week. Evey time I asked a question about my paycheck or retail commission, she had no idea of what to tell me and would never follow up with anyone to get an answer. The really sad part is that the General Manager initial M.R. totally supports her and that the owner has no clue as to what is happening in her own salon. I have been in the field of cosmetology for 21 years, so I am not new to the business and know how a salon should properly be run for client satisfaction. It is really sad when the manager is the cause of drama in the salon and not the solution to it.
Super cuts really suck they have no consideration of their employes or customers do not waste ur time going to any specially in Altamonte springs in florida the district manager Joana De Jesus was very rude, when I gave her a complaint about their services. Mary Melendez the store manager has no sympathy and does not care about the store. The store itself with their stylist looks like trash and there is a negative atmosphere!!! Joana ask me to leave the store after they turned my hair green and I end up at Hair salon paying more money for my color!!! Joana De Jesus and Mary Melendez should not be recognized as stylists they are not proffessional and just make the salon suck!!!
I was using this one hairdresser i will not state the name or gender i do not want this person to loose their job, they are still there to my knowledge i still use this person and it is the best cut and color service ive ever had with that said i went in one day and ask when this person was going to be there and this girl told me they didnt work there anymore and tried their hardest to get me to sit in their chair ......i told her over and over again i would wait and even asked with the manager would be in well i waited and went back in 4 days later and there was the person who still does my hair i told them what happened and they told me they were extremely jealous of this person because of their skill level they said they would tell the manager i called them back a couple of days later and asked what happened they said that the manager defended the stylist who lied to me and said i was making it up ....they apologized to over and over again .....i told this particular hairstylist i would follow them where ever they went , they said supercuts will not allow them to have clients that would follow them but i say this supercuts does not write my paychecks nor can they tell me where to go If i wish to follow my hairstylist then i shall i even got their phone number so that the very next time they do this to that stylist or me i can call my stylist and tell them what is happening....come to find out it is illegal to create a hostile work environment under arkansas employment law i am telling all my girlfriends about how they treat this stylist i am a nurse in a very large hospital in north west arkansas and apparently this stylist is growing by leaps and by bounds ive never seen anyone so skilled with color in my 56 years on earth the girls at work have nicknamed this person the Magician they can take anyones hair and make it fantastic. I think they are really jealous of this stylist I pray to God they are smart enough to keep this person if not they will lose the best stylist ive ever found ......but even if they do i know how to find them . So for all of you out there Supercuts can have rare diamonds you just have to look for them and hang on to them once you find them.
They gave me a hair cut that is out of Star Trek. They say they know what they are doing but I have never seen something like this. They all bad mouth each other in there and they bad mouth people in the community. They are a bunch of dishonest, brainless people and the owner Paul and Monica should know this. It seems that they are only interested in making as much money as they can during the day without observing what it is that they are doing. The manager cannot even listen to instructions and makes the same mistakes on people's hair over and over again. As the head office in Minnesota, you should really look at rehiring in this supercuts because there are many clients that feel that way.
Vaughan, Ontario (just north of Toronto) I had been going to Supercuts to save a little bit of money particularly for my colour on my long hair. I was dealing with a hairdresser that is named Marisa who claimed that she was trained professionally by Ray Civello (an experienced hairdresser in Toronto). So I gave her a chance. By end of summer 2011 I decided that I wanted to revert to a natural brown colour all over just to take a break from the blonde I had in my hair. I have done this in the past with other hairdressers and it worked out just fine. With Marissa I came out with pink roots and burgundy at the bottom of my hair. It was hideous to say the least. I forgave her for this mistake and tried it again. The other hairdresser did my hair back to blonde but almost made me white blonde. I spoke with the owners telling them the situation, that I did not want to go back there and that I would like a refund for this 3rd disaster. The hairdressers (brainless twits that they are) must have turned the story around to say that all I did was complain. So, I did not receive my money back, but what I did receive was the truth about the hairdressers at Supercuts. Other experienced hairdressers took a look at my hair and said that they completely did it wrong; THE COLOUR WAS NOT EVEN DONE EVENLY AT ALL AND WAS NOT EVEN APPLIED TO LAST FOR MORE THAN 2 WEEKS. DO NOT TRY SUPERCUTS! YOU WILL END UP SPENDING MORE MONEY. THAT IS THEIR INTENT.
there is such a turnover there that they cant keep good hairdressers there they get them n loose them because of corporate not treating them right as employees. My sister worked there n they pay them 7.25 dollars n hour n they have to get haircuts done in 15 minutes to get more so they jack peoples hair up. its not a great salon if u want ur hair done right. That is why my sister quit she was getting a bad wrap because she was messing up haircuts because she had to get u in and get u out. they are working the girls to death n they dont make money. Supercuts make all the money n they areal managers get cars if they make u work for their numbers so it is backwards :like a sweat shop; no benifits no bonuses hell no christmas. Supercuts sucks all thre way around.i woulnd' recomend anybody working there nor would i recomend anyone getting there haircut there. Plus they are the most uncleaned salon around someone comes in with lice they do nothing about it, really no joke i have seen it, just move on with the next customer. Sorry but they suck
Tonight I came to Supercuts based on their location being close to my house, and the $10 discount I had on Haircolor. I needed to get a haircut/color because I have an party event tomorrow where there will be very important people, (potential employers) and I want to look as best as I am able to on a budget. So much for looking nice! When I told the stylist that I wanted very dark brown hair (almost black) she nodded and then died my hair light brown! I asked her to dye it the right color again, so one hour of waiting for my hair to cure turned into TWO! Then, when she gave me a haircut, I asked her to trim my side bangs, (I had spent 3 months growing out my regular bangs to have nice side bangs) she proceeded to trim my bangs all in one horizontal line. DO NOT visit Hell (SUPERCUTS) in South Pasadena, CA! Now I feel nervous about going to that important celebrity party tomorrow, because my hair looks bad.
Today prior to me going to Super Cuts located at Collins Ave and 53 St in Miami Beach, Fl., I review this website and review some of the comments, which started with negatives ones. I must admit I was going to be one more. Yesterday I went very excited due to that I was going in to cut my 18 inches long hair that I left for so long to grow so I can donate it to Love of Locks (nonprofit org that does wigs for children with cancer) I was so excited that my friend/sister came with me to video type the whole thing. I walked in and talked to a woman with no welcome vibe nor greeted me, nothing. I asked her will she be the one to cut my hair so I can explain it to that person, she said yes. I went on to informed her that I needed for her to do a braid to my hair first so then she can cut it no less then 12inches but if she cut more to do so. And I brought with me a picture of the final hair cut I wanted. She asked to show her the picture so I did. After telling her all that and showed her the picture, she called another lady that was just finishing a man's hair. (Not going to put her name just in case of legal issues)This new lady didn’t introduce herself nor greeted me, and asked me to repeat myself. The first lady walked away without saying anything. So I went on to tell the new lady what I wanted. I showed her the picture plus I even told her why I need the hair in braid and no less then 12inches. Perfect, so I thought. I asked her if she mind if my friend video tapes it for me to post at Locks of Love site, she agreed. For second things when well, she combs my hair and asked to put my hair in a bony tail, so I did and before I can blink she cut my hair. No braid was done... I kept my mouth close as it was no big deal as long as the hair is in a bony tail or braid. Braid was best for the whole hair to be kept all together. Right then she said, You never showed me the picture of the hair style you wanted.... Due to this being an event that I am doing with LOVE I was not going to have a bad moment. I said to her, I think you like for me to show you the picture again because I did at the counter. She said No. I close my mouth and showed her the picture and said I prefer you ask me to show you the picture as many times before you cut more because if you cut without not knowing it will ruin my hair due to shortness at this point. The lady held my shoulders tight and said never mind. I said no no its ok I don’t mind and showed her the picture. From there, three more times she asked me if this is it question and three times I said no, showed picture and explained the style. Every time I said no because she insisted on a different style and not the one I showed and wanted she would be breathing hard and at one point burned me with the blow dryer. All this was video typed. I kept my cool at all time and at the forth, this is it question I said no but its ok, lets finish. At the counter she sold me into a product. I paid 25.00 for the cut, 15.00 for the blow dryer and 24.00 for the product. She gave me my change from a 100.00 bill not noticing that she gave me a 20.00 bill and three 1.00. I gave her the twenty thinking it was 10.00 bill. I gave her a 24% tip for a cut I didn’t want but she only new to give, awful service and putting her hands on me. I was excited and very happy but not Stupid. I was just not careful. But today I went again. A different lady was there with a young guy. The lady greeted me and asked how she can help. She didn’t stop working at the men that was in front of her, as he was there before I showed, and I understand. The young man was also attending another customer too. I asked her if it was possible if I can speak to the store manager. She asked me if I can wait and she will help me. I waited, she finished. I started letting her know what a horrible experience I had and told my story. The manager listened very carefully what I said, she asked for the receipt. I told her that I didn’t get one but I remember the time it was. She looked me up in the computer. When she came back she sat down and I told her if she would be so kind as to see the tape I had and the one of the store so she can see for herself. The manager apologized for her staffs and introduced me to the young man and from there it was heave. I told them I wish I was like the old Barbie dolls that crew hair in minutes, so I could re-tape my experience of donating my hair for a great caused that one of my family member, childhood friend and other good friends lost their fight with cancer with my friends. I give it 5 because 2 mad apples do not have to ruin it for the rest that really strive to do great Customer Service.
Is there a rating for less than "poor" ? Because that's what I would give it! Horrible experience and I will tell everyone I know to take their business elsewhere...that's how upset I am right now. Not all Supercut shops, but the one in Kapolei, Hawaii, specifically the stylist? named "margie"........Here's the story: I made a telepone "reservation" for my 13 year old son on Monday, January 2. I requested the first available stylist...no one in particular. We arrived at 2:50 p.m. A male manager was there and 3 other stylists....All three were with clients and the manager cleaning up on his way out. We checked in with him and he said it would be "a few minutes". There was one other young boy and his father waiting and a female woman who came in after us. The third stylist finished her client and left so there were two left then: First of all, the young "margie" stylist was deliberately taking her time talking story, laughing and giggling with the young male military client. I swear she took five minutes just to put jell in his hair! My son and I waited 35 minutes and at about 3:25 p.m. a young male (25ish?) came in; walked to the counter; spoke softly to "margie" who told him softly "just have a seat and I'll take you" or something to that effect. After she finished her existing young man, she took her time cleaning up and then proceeded to motion the young male over to the chair!!!!! bypassing my son and the other customers who had been waiting for over 30 minutes. Now, you might think he had an appointment? Highly doubtful! If his reservation was at 3 he didn't show up until 3:25 and if his reservation was at 3:30 I believe the 3 p.m. reservation should have come first right????? Unbelieveable! I made it very clear I knew what was going on and stormed out to call the manager leaving my poor son embarrassed as heck. I could not believe what was going on. I went two doors down to REGIS who were also booked but listened to my story and took my son in INSTANTLY and did a BEAUTIFUL job on his hair. I paid them $50 and it was worth every penney! I told my son that is the wrong way to do business and very unethical...I think this young woman "marjie" should lose her job. No one deserves to be treated that way. I know she caters to young males who will probably, in her mind, leave a big tip or slip their phone number? who knows? But this was wrong wrong wrong. I would rather pay REGIS $50 than Supercuts $17 and will never patronize that shop again. I don't know her last name but I did call the shop after to find out who the two stylists left were. The one on the phone was an oriental woman with heavy accent and the other one was "margie". Young local girl, maybe phillipino, dark mid length hair with bleached streak. If this company has any integrity or business sense it will follow up and make sure it doesn't have this kind of employee working for them. Dawn
I want to give a neg. report. Your ad says no appointments, I went to the Canyon Country California, Supercuts and was waiting for my hair cut. I had a job interview to go to. then a guys walks in they take him ahead of me stating he called in. So your ads lie, Your ads state no appointments, I am letting the better business no about your fraudlent ads. I call the store after i left and the girl who answered said there are no appointments they just call in and put themselves in line. Any judge will take that as an appointment. what does super cuts think the customers are idiots.
If I could give it a 0 stars I would. I went in the one on Taylorsville Rd, Louisville KY. One "stylist" working. I had to ask for her to wash my hair because it cuts better clean. I told her of concerns, which she TOTALLY ignored, cut it exactly like I told her NOT to and didn't even dry or style, even though I told her I wanted a cut & style. I called and spoke with the manager who told me to come back in and she would see what she could do to fix it. We agreed on a time. I got there, she told me to sit and she'd be "just a couple of minutes" and after waiting for her for 30 minutes I got up to walk out. All she could say, without stopping what she was doing, was "You can't wait, Ms Laura?" I HAD WAITED!! This is customer service at it's worst!! I will tell everyone I know to NOT go to Supercuts!!
It sucked
