Subway does not even deserve a -1 star. I went to a subway in Railto California and the employees used the same knife to cut 8 sandwiches. I am allergic to fish and sea food and can not have any pork or beef. They refused to change the knife and had a major attitude when I told the that they needed to change it. One occasion an emplyee throw the knife into the sink and refused to cut mine with a new knife. I had to go to the er to get an fast acting allergic reaction pen because there was tuna on my sandwhich. I have called the corprate office and after waiting for a call beck for 2 weeks I called them back and they said they will have the reginal office get involved within the next 3 business days. REALLY? they cant do anything? Wow After reading the coments from other customers as well as dealing with this situation myself, I wonder how they are still in business. They just lost a bunch of customers because I value my life too much for them to try and posion me or my family.

This is informational for many of you who nitpick at your subway employee. Maybe not all franchises are like this but the one I work for is so here goes. First no matter how long you've worked there or how good you do, you get minimum wage that is all not a penny more, next you do NOT get a break EVER, even if you work ten hours NO BREAK! If you are lucky and there is time enough between customers you can run to the restroom , hopefully you are not working alone as is often the case because then you just have to hold it and hope for a moment to run, if not oh we'll to bad. There are no benefits there are no paid holidays and of course we are open on holidays so you must work and no no overtime! You are required to keep constantly busy, cleaning bathrooms, floors ,windows ,toilets , and still prep food bake bread and take care of customers usually while your there alone. So the last thing necessary is for some snarky, nitpicky jerk to come in and give you crap over something stupid, I have rules to follow, I get in trouble if I don't do NO I can't just automatically heap food on your sub you must ask and don't give me attitude when you do! I try very hard to do a good job and be polite, please be polite to me and this will work just fine! If I'm hurrying it's only because I have 1000 other things to do don't be offended let me know if you need a minute, I'll be happy to give you one ! AGAIN be nice to me I'll be nice to you, you'll get a nice sub and we're all happy! Have a great night!!!!

Are you people blind. This site is in no way affiliated with Subway. Threatening to sue if you're not contacted within 24 hours is a joke. ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU'RE NOT EVEN ON THE SUBWAY WEBSITE. Employees who claim to have been wrongly dismissed should take up the issue with your local fair work agency. Subway head office has nothing to do with it. And to the person who thinks they were wrongly dismissed by a 'mental manager'; why would you even apply for a job at a fast food restaurant that relies strongly on your abilities to hear customers and remember their orders when you yourself stated that you're deaf in one ear and have short term memory loss!!! Read before you waste your time commenting. No one from Head Office will read these complaints because IT IS NOT THE SUBWAY WEBSITE. if you want serious action, grab the phone number and give HO a call. It's really not that challenging.

I love Subway's. The only complaint I had before is that they had advertised a 7AM opening and 3 times I went to 2 Subway's and the doors were locked and no one responded so I emailed and that was fixed. The other complaint was that the English muffin sandwiches should be toasted, ingredients added then toasted again as it tasted semi-raw. Next time I'll know better and request that. That leads to my last complaint, the ability to contact Subway's via email without needing to furnish my full home address, phone number and store it's about. I didn't want to give a store number, etc about the English muffin as it might be procedural as it was done. However, it is conceivable that someone would like to email a suggestion that is not store-related and don't want to give their personal information. I understand you likely want addresses to ensure it's not some schmuck competitor making a false anonymous claim or to compensate the complainer. My intent is to suggest menu items. The meatball marinara sub (without pepperoni) is awesome. Why not follow up with an Italian sausage marinara sub? Thin sliced, it can be containerized and stored just like the meatballs, it's the same sauce and you already have the fresh pepper and onions for those wanting it. I enjoyed it at Dominoe's but would love to try a Subway version of it! Thanks for your service

I was in the Long Beach, CA store (3400 N. Long Beach Blvd. #30848 Long Beach, CA 90807) on yesterday Tuesday April 03, 2012 to purchase a sandwich. As I stood observing the employee preparing the sandwich; first of all her gloves were not changed from the prior customer as she started making my sandwich; secondly she went to the toaster oven and touched it without changing her gloves and thirdly started preparing the previous customers sandwich and returned to the oven without changing of gloves. She then started on my sandwich without a change of gloves. This is highly unsanitary and unhealthy and against county health code regulations. Furthermore I was scrutinized by the clerk Karina Alonso, due to the fact that I gave her (2) two-dollar bills and rolled coins to pay for the sandwich, like I was a common theif. Very offending to say the least. The kids in the store are poorly trained and lack customer service skills as well as common sense and intelligence, poor communicators and are not people oriented. Trust and believe, I will be contacting the store manager, owner, what ever. I will also be contacting the Los Angeles County Health Department regarding this vile and atrocious act. Thank you.

I work at a local Subway, have been for nearly a year and I read this site almost every night. Now I'm sorry but to those that THINK employees can read your minds.. not gonna happen. Please get off your cell phones BEFORE ordering your food. And please stop giving dirty looks when we have to speak over your conversation. Also, stop munching on the chips while telling us what you want on your subs. Customers talk about employees being rude and having attitude.. perhaps that is because it takes a rude customer to initiate said attitude. Another thing, keep your kids at your side, we are NOT babysitters! $7.25/hr. is not enough and I doubt it ever would be, to watch a strangers kid tear up a store I keep clean 6 days a week. I've seen so many parents come into the Subway where I work, leave their kids so they can go get a hair cut next door or their nails done. I'm not paid enough to do YOUR parenting job.

I am greatly disappointed that your 5 dollar footlong menu has only three items.(Tumwater, WA) Your commercials do not make this clear. I walk through the door and am faced with this surprising reality, only 3, yes just 3 5 dollar footlongs. Jared would not approve. Wake up and treat the public as intelligent beings, not suckers to be seperated from their hard earned money. This will change nothing I'm sure as it takes bad publicity from the press or pressure from government to change your actions. You are like the banks, cheat until they sue you. Dramatic? A bit, but you really pissed me off. More 5 dollar footlongs at all of your franchises. Demand it, don't be a bunch of weaklings. Good food, bad karma. Make change your goal not just a weakly expressed ideal. Come on!

Just came back from the Subways on Davis Island in Tampa Fl. I ordered the Monday special and was told they were out of ham which is the Mondday special. So I asked if I could have the Tuesday special instead and was flat out told NO, OMG are u kidding really are you going to go broke if you sell me the Tuesday special instead?????? I get my lunch at least 3xs a week from there ! Let me tell you the money in American is still the same if you sell me the Monday special or the Tuesday Special . But It will now be invisible money because you just lost a customer!!!!

I will not write my name down because my Indian bosses would surely cut me out of the schedule if they would see this. Well I am currently employed at a subway restaurant located in Shafter, Ca. I been there for so long, and have knew them for a while. They are the worst bosses you can ever have. They believe just because they pay you $8 they can make you do ANYTHING (in a non sexual way.) They yell at us in front of customers, they don't pay us for overtime, holidays, and they won't even give us a raise. We have to take Subway classes every month and we don't get paid for it, while other subways do and if we say something they'll cut us out of the schedule. If we don't do the classes we are suspended for two weeks until we have them done. The thing is if we confront them about it, they'll most likely fire us. It happened to one girl this year already. I'm just writing this because I'd like all of you who live near this subway to NEVER visit this place. And because I feel I have to let this out. I don't know who I should talk to in order to get them to do the things the right way. I called labor board but they never call me back. Anyone care to help?? Thanks for taking the time to read this. Goodbye.

357 BelleTerre Blvd-This Subway does not deserve even one star. This has to be the worse Subway for customer service. The owner (female) is RUDE,she has to be the worse ever. The coffee in the coffee maker is cold most of the time, never have the condiments available, it took 26 min to get my food, the employee fixed my sandwich wrong,i asked for olives the employee gave me 5, after she swipe the counter and did everything else with those same gloves she had on. I asked for cream and splenda i had to wait for 5 min and the splenda (3pks) she did find In the back of the cabinet was hard as a brick, then the owner came out and asked what was wrong? I started to explain to her what happened and she stated give me your sandwich so i can take off whatever it was i didnt want; i told her no, i wasnt going to let her pick over it. She than got an attitude, thats when i told her she doesnt know how to talk to her employees and customers, then she started yelling and cursing and told me to get the hell out of her store. I guess i hit a nerve, the truth makes you offensive. This was my last time there and i will tell everyone i know to never go there. This Subway does not deserve one star.I think this Subway with the uncaring, rude, and nasty manager will disappear in time. Dont go to this one, go to any other one in LaPlace.

I ordered a Chicken Bacon Ranch for my daughter and she didn't want it toasted. The woman put the chicken and bacon on the bread and then asked if I wanted it toasted, I said no. She said 3 times 'cause it's suposed to be a toasted sandwich, I told her 3 times no. Then she asked me if I wanted it microwaved, I said no. When I gave my daughter the sandwich, she said she didn't put the chicken and bacon in the micro to get it hot? The chicken and bacon were stone cold. Then she went back to have the woman make the sandwich right. She argued with my daughter and wouldn't let her speak. My daughter had to yell over her to say that she made the sandwich wrong. Finally my daughter asked for her money back. The woman did give her a refund but was extremely rude and was not wearing a name tag. She wouldn't even listen to my daughter and try to make it right with the customer. This woman is the store manager and does the hiring. I called on the phone to get the womans name. It is Charog. That may be spelled wrong, but that's what it sounded like. I will never go back to this Subway again. They were lucky I went back at all because last time I went, I got a meatball sandwich and the meatball were rancid. I had to take that sandwich back too. This is by far the worst Subway I've ever been to. Meanwhile, Samantha at the Subway on Girls School and Rockville had great customer service, made her sandwich correctly and apologized for the rude woman at the other location. Great customer service Samantha.

I went to the Subway in Moosic Sunday in the Convenience store at 11am. The girl working was real fast and just as 4 or 5 people walked in the owner came in and immediately started helping the girl wrap and cash out the customers. What imporessed me the most was he was there on a Sunday and was very pleasant and agreeable. The sandwiches were very good and the bread was still warm from just being baked. I hate to say this but it was nice to see an American owning a Subway.

ALTHOUGH WE HAVE A VERY CLEAN STORE, CUSTOMER SERVICE IS GREAT, THE EMPLOYEES WORK LIKE SLAVES. I JUST WANTED TO SAY THAT I AM AN EMPLOYEE OF A SUBWAY ON BELLS ROAD IN RICHMOND, VA. THE OWNERS IS KIRAN AND MANESHA PATEL. THEY OWN MORE THAN 2 STORES. I RECENTLY HAD A CONVERSATION WITH A CO-WORKER AND HE INFORMED ME THAT HE HAS BEEN THERE FOR SEVEN YEARS, AND HE ONLY MAKES $7.50 AN HOUR. HE IS HISPANIC, AND HE THINKS THAT BECAUSE OF THAT THE BOSS IS TAKING ADVANTAGE OF HIM. THRE IS ALSO ANOTHER EMPLOYEE WHO IS THE PERSON IN CHARGE WHEN MANESHA ISN'T THERE. SHE SAID SHE HAS BEEN THERE FOR SOME YEARS TOO, AND MAKES AROUND THE SAME AS THE HISPANIC GENTLEMEN. SHE IS HAITIAN. I TOLD THEM I WOULD SEE WHAT I COULD DO. THE HAITIAN LADY WORKD MONDAY THRU FRIDAY FROM 6AM UNTIL 5PM WITH NO BREAKS. THAT IS INSANE. ISN'T THERE SOMETHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT THIS? THE PURPOSE OF GETTING A JOB IS FOR ADVANCEMENT OPPORTUNITIES, WHICH I WAS TOLD THERE WAS WHEN I WENT FOR MY INTERVIEW, JUST TO FIND OUT THAT THERE ISN'T NO OPPORTUNITY. WE WORK VERY HARD TO MAKE OUR BOSS'S PROUD, AND YET, THERE IS NO COMPENSATION OR RECOGNITION. PLEASE DO SOMETHING. ITS GIVING SUBWAY A BAD REPUTATION.

Store 1715, Louisville Ky, Near Bardstown road and Taylorsville road. Not sure if this is a store or a company complaint. Not my ordinary store. I will also add that I usually visit Subway 2 or 3 times a week. I purchased a club that contains ham, turkey and roast beef... $7.00 sandwich. While the person was building the sandwich, I notice very little meat on the sandwich. I ask the sandwich technician if that was correct? He replied "yes" that it was. He was polite. His co-worker, a lady came over as well as said this was correct. Contained 2 roast beef, 2 turkey, and 4 ham. They both said it was correct. Not sure if these were smaller portions or if they were following policy. So, when the lady was past the sandwich and began asking what I would like added I noticed that attitude she had. Each time I ask her to add a little bit more she had one serious attitude. I ask for a few jalapeno's and she had about thirty on the sandwich. I do believe I will choose a different Subway restaurant in the future. The other Louisville locations make you feel valued... On the way out of the store the customer behind me also remarked that he "felt as she was had a serious attitude as well." Maybe a bad day there...

To clear up any information on here, Subway uses cellphones to help connect to managers in case of in need of assistance; you can even call the manager's cell if you want to make a Giant Sub, which has to be prepared at least 24 hours in advance. It requires special bread and must be made in advance for it's specialty. It can be as many feet as you like, even beyond 6 feet for informal parties. There are currently a lot of stores hiring new people right now, and sometimes if you catch them on their first day, there is a possibility they WILL mess something up, but as the customer, -you- walked into the store to give this new guy a fresh experience of having -you- as a customer. And many employees like to keep their name confidential, unless if you personally want to know, ask. Subway offers great food if done right, and sometimes the quantity of items allowed to be on the sub is limited due to the hour of the day, the sandwich build (which has general guidelines); and if you wait a little while to eat your sandwich, things won't be as crisp, nature tends to make things -cold-. All in all, they have great cookies.

I live in Mentor,OH and we have several subways in our city. There is one that i will NEVER go back to...its off of Diamond Center Circle off Heisley Rd. There's an older woman that works there that looks like she's on drugs an never smiles. She along with the other little boys that work there smell like cigarettes and its disgusting! Everytime I have went there, they are all outside infront of the store smoking and when someone walks in,they follow, put on loves WITHOUT washing there hands! What type of management does this place have??? Who hires these gross people? And ontop of it all,the last time I was there,a few people walked in behind me,so after they put my meat and cheese on my bread, the woman set it aside and moved on to all of the other people that came in AFTER me! I stood there for almost 10 minutes until a customer behind me said," why are we all going before you? Are you ordering a lot of subs?" I said," no,just a six inch...apparently its too hard to put lettuce, tomato and mayo on a sub." a kid then came over and finished making my sub. No apology, nothing from any of them. By far the worst service and the grossest subway ever!!! And I eat it a few times a week. Its the closet one to me,and now I have to travel farther to get it because apparently subway doesnt care about who they hire. Very sad.

Subway Store in Bowdon Georgia, 30108. I live in Bowdon and every time I go to this store the bread is so old it falls apart. I have mentioned this to the employee's but to no avail. Tonight for instance, 03-13-2012 at approx 2020, I went into the store to order a sub for my wife. I had to ask specifically for fresh bread, but also the condiment bends were empty. But the bad part is when I drove up the two employee's were outside shooting the bull. I had to wait while she had to go in the back to get lettuce, onions and three other items. There is not much choice to pick from in my town but I assure you I will do anything except order another sub from this subway store. Perhaps someone will consider this a problem and do something about it. I doubt it.

I went to Subway located in our new Walmart in Fallston, Md. I ordered a BLT sub, big bacon fan here. When I got home and bit into the sub, I didnt even hardly taste any bacon, it was just like eating lettuce and tomato on bread. I opened the footlong sub and found a few very small pieces of almost raw bacon on there, not even enough for a six inch long sub. I usually get BLT subs at our local Royal Farm Store or Wawa and they are good. They put about 10 or 12 slices of crisp bacon on a 6 inch sub, I found 6 skinny, almost raw pieces on a Subways footlong sub. It was the worst BLT sub I have ever eaten. Needless to say, I wont be going back there. Seems like no one on this review site has written anything positive, everything is negative about food, quality and management. Pretty sad...

I writing this in hopes that some thing will be done about an employee at the subway shop in North Haven Connecticut in the TJMAXX plaza, I have not gone there in months due to the fact an employee chased me out of the store and tried to attack me in the parking lot. I have written to corporate but will not give my name and address in fear that the employee will get a hold of it and make good on her threat. This girl is really scary and big. I have called the complaint department and also have spoken with several people at that subway, the manager /owner doesn't really care about his customers and still has this girl employed i will never go back and i have been going there for years. I have spoken with the local police but all they said was if she didn't strike me i don't have any recourse. I have told all my friends and they also agree that there must be something going on with her and the owner for him not to let this employee go. Not sure what to do but i will never go back.
