I was at the Subway at Walmart in Hurricane Utah. I ordered four sandwiches but I was not able to get one the way I wanted. The store was out of white bread tuna tomatoes and more. Furthermore only one worker was present during the lunch time-the busiest time. People were leaving since the line was so long. The worse fast food experience ever!!
I am very dissatisfied.. With the restaurant in Butler Al.. My family and I went to dine on Sun May 6th at 1.30 and the place was Closed. Employee inside the restaurant looking out at all the people outside. There was no sign telling us they were closed or anything.. They just stood in there.. no one came to the door or nothing. I won't be coming back ..
The food was good but the cashier took my money and then asked me if she could have the change as a tip, she said that they dont get raises so she held up a jar that said subway and repeted to still ask me for my extra money for a tip. This is so unproffesional, I cant believe subway allows this to happen, I wont go in there again. Oh by the way this one is in Boaz Alabama on hwy 431 and this woman is stockie with tatoos all on her arms, just in case anyone wants to know.
I went to my local SUBWAY in rolling meadows, IL. They often have meat that is not the right temp. so you have to watch the veggies as well. I ordered a COLD CUT TRIO and the sandwich seemed ok. I went back to work and started to each my sandwich...upon eating it a couple of bites I started to gag. I was trying to swallow and was choking on the piece of sandwich I was trying to swallow. I spit the sandwich out what did I find...? A piece of plastic from the corner of the lettuce bag. I understand SUBWAY uses bags of lettuce and cut the ends of the bag, then pours the lettuce in the bin. I was trying to swallow the edge piece of the bag AND MY SANDWICH! I called the store immediately. I spoke with an employee who stated that he was the manager (found out later he was not). He just stated that he was sorry and that I could come in and get another sandwich at a later date. I then completed the 800 # survey to let the "powers that be" know what I experienced at this location. The Owner - TIM RYAN - contacted me via generic email stating he would contact the store manager to ensure that this does not happen again. No apology....no sorry for what happened...NOTHING. Way to go TIM!! I received a "free cookie coupon" for completing the survey. :( I almost choke to death, gasping for air on a sandwich (which SUBWAY provided) and they in turn......GIVE ME A ANOTHER SANDWICH and A COOKIE?! So it can happen again? I'm not really sure, but they will not get me twice! This is my P.S.A. ...SAVE YOURSELF!! DO NOT GO TO THE SUBWAY at 1456 Golf Rd Rolling Meadows, US-IL , 60008
I went to Subway in Bellingham, WA down by the Harbor and had VERY POOR service. It seemed like I was interrupting her or something. I ordered a sandwich and a medium soda, the soda I wanted was carbonation only. When I asked her to change it, she said she didn't know how and told me I could purchase a bottle for .59 more. I will NEVER go back again, nor will I purchase any more gift cards from there. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!!!
Hello, my name is Bob and this email comes to you today in reference to your district manager in Tempe Arizona named Jesse. On Friday I had the occasion to have a short discussion with Jesse and the reason behind my disappointment in your management staff. I say the discussion was short because from the beginning Jesse was rude and unprofessional. Having realized this early on in my encounter it was evident that I should just let the corporate higher ups handle my situation and let him know that would be my course of action. Let me elaborate…….. I own the business next to your Tempe store on baseline. In mid-afternoon I noticed that there were a few uniformed Subway employees parking directly in front of my business and Subway. This was unusual because this had never happened in the past. In normal circumstances at other locations this might not be a big deal but at this location there are only four parking spots for the three businesses to share for incoming customers. When I noticed that this seemed to be a Subway meeting I asked one employee to let the managers know that we had no parking any longer for incoming customers. This did not seem to matter to him as he left his vehicle and said that he would let someone know. Well as I waited, hoping that instruction would be given to staff on parking away from the limited availability, that did not occur. Then I was able to determine that this was a managers meeting. Having 30+ years experience in the F&B industry(managing 3mil.+ Corporate Restaurants) I was surprised that the half dozen managers arriving for this did not have the common sense to park away from the front entrance having run corporate and private restaurants for years this has always been common practice. After awhile I went in to ask the manger if we could do something but from my perspective it seemed to be out of her hands and at the direction of the DM Jesse. After leaving and again waiting awhile I returned to then speak with Jesse. When I approached Jesse I asked If he was the manager in charge? At that point he proceeded to tell me to “take a deep breath and relax”. As I was not upset, (just a businessman trying to make a living), that opening statement was un -called for and un-professional. With that, our conversation was over with me conveying that I thought I would do better talking to Corporate Headquarters. While Jesse was aware of the issue prior to me speaking with him, he did nothing to correct it. I guess I am use to dealing with professionals in “OUR” industry who when approached regarding a situation that the words “how can I help you” are used. Do you allow your employees to park directly in front of the stores that you operate? I highly doubt it(and this was just the arriving managers?)! Is this a case of store managers believing that the rules or common business etiquette does not apply to them? Why is this???????????? While this was an easy issue to solve with simple direction(to move vehicles from in front of the store) and common courtesy I am left to believe that even with the hard economic times and high unemployment that it must be difficult to find a quality district manager. While Jesse had ample opportunity to handle the situation, I believe that he truly lacks the skills needed to be a manager, let alone a DM. My only solution was to contact ownership of the property and demand a dedicated space in front of my establishment. Unfortunately this will now reduce the available parking for this Subway store by 25%. While I ate next door a couple of times a week I now refuse to eat at any Subway and will now give my sandwich business to Blimpie or Jimmy Johns. My next move will now be to post these comments on social media accounts such as Twitter, Facebook, Yelp and the likes. I will wait a few days to allow for a corporate follow up response to my encounter. Regrettably,
I am a high school teacher working nearby a Subway branch in Ozone Park at Atlantic avenue and 104 street in New York. On Friday 4/27, about 11:30 am, I went to the branch, and bought a tuna 12" sandwich, paid foor it and went to teach my class, 3 blocks away. To my surprise, I dicovered my cash is missing. I waited and hour and half to finish my class, then headed back to Subway, hoping to find my money To my second surprise, I found my money intact, waiting for me in an envelope, in the hand of one of the workers, with a smile. I did not have a prayer finding my money back. Buit in this case, I had the fortune to loss my money in your branch that have very honest crew I think your corporate HQ, should consider the entire crew for employee of the month Thank you very much Said Youssef
Subway needs to evaluate their policies of WASTING FOOD. Within our own families and businesses we have ALL had to make cuts to budgets and waste. Today while in store #27677 in Conyers, Georgia....I AGAIN noticed that Subway employees waste food. Perhaps, the owner doesn't realize the employees are throwing away profits! I asked for several 12" subs for $5.00 each. On 1 of the subs, I ask the employee to leave off the ham on one side of the sandwich...as I do not eat meat. She insisted that she had to put it on the sandwich or charge me for 2 different 6" sandwiches. I explained to the lady that I didn't eat meat and she could just leave it off. I wasn't really wanting any more veggies ...just leave the meat off. She insisted she had to put it on. So, when I got to the end of the line...I had to ask for Subways set of gloves and I took the meat off myself and handed it to the cashier. She threw it in the garbage!!! That is waste, folks! Evidentally, Subway hasn't been hurt by our tight economy....perhaps we should go to one of their competitors that may need our money. I have taught my children to not waste and throw food away and then Subway allows their employees to perhaps do it daily. I suggest you give your hard earned dollars to another restaurant that will appreciate your business and boost their sales.
I was at Subway at the corner of Mill and Waterman in San Bernardino CA. I purchased a sandwich and a drink to go. Cindy the clerk was friendly and efficient. Her service deserves 5 stars. I selected Dr. Pepper and when I got home, I found that there was not enough syrup to make it sweet. I had to look up the phone number because the do not reference the phone number on the receipt. I called them to let them know and I made the mistake of saying I purchased a Macho drink, I guess I should have gone to Del Taco. The clerk rudely said that they do not sell Macho drinks. I appologized and said that I had purchased a 40 oz drink for $1.90. She rudely said that they do not sell drinks for $1.90. I said if this was true, then why did my receipt state $1.90? I asked for a manager and was told that there was no manager on site and I could call back another time. One more thing, why does Subway allow their employees to pull out the chairs and sit in front of the door smoking?
I went to subway In ogden ut, 23rd and wall ave ogden ut today and was treated the worst i have ever been treated in customer service in my life! While taking my order the employee proceeded to roll her eyes at me and other customers and throw supplies around and make us feel very un welcome, my food was terrible and even when i asked for a manager the manager did not even try to make my visit any better i left feeling ver unsatisfied with the food and service and will choose not to go back to that location ever again!
Haha I like how you say the girl made your sub wrong. When she asked you if you wanted it toasted or microwaved and you said no. Well it has to be toasted, so you refusing the heat up, and your daughter getting mad. Is your own stupidity. Honestly though, I've never realized how stupid people truly are, until I worked at subway. Please tell me your bread first, and how long. Then we can get to what sub you'd like. Also pay attention we have a sign for all of our products. When I ask for cheese, there's a list. 3 of our cheeses are white, so when you say the white cheese wth is that? Also our vegetables have a certain portion the lady that asked for olives and got 6 and was upset about it. Well that's what corporate says to give 6 of each veggie per sub. If you want extra let us know. I like how it pissed you off enough to start complaining. Also I make subs 40 hours a week. When I have a line to the door, stay off our cell phone thats a good way to get skipped. When you're listing off your veggies just tell me what you want. I'm not a retard you don't gotta give me 1 at a time. There's only 10 items to remember.
Recently alot of us from Piedmont,Alabama have noticed alot of employess coming and going. Although there are 2 that have been there for ahile and they are very good employees and sweet girls. If I owned a business I sure wouldn't treat my most reliable, honest and harwoeking employees like crap. Doing a lilttle research our city council has found out that the girls in the last 6 months and the store manager now are all straight out of jail for manufacturing drugs{Felonies}. The manager was talking on the phone and i over heard her say she had to lie on the application about being arrested and having a conviction and lied about working for another Subway! I mean really! Another customer told me that the owner of that Subway had no idea her district manager was hiring these people. The girls that come from this jail/halfway house seem to be giving manager positions! WE live in a small town and word gets around fast! Is it a policy of Subway to treat the good employees like crap?Your so called managers changes schedule without notice to suit their own personal needs, calls in atleast 5 times in the first month. It's a small Subway so there is only 4-5 employees. There has always been 4, but now there is 5.Only during lunch and dinner rush will there be 2 and thats fine. But why is she so special that when she works she has to have another person there? I think she should remember what she has done and where she just came from, she thinks she got one over on Subway! Ans SHE DID!!!!!Never worked in any Subway, straight out of jail for felony drug manufacturing.
If a zero star icon would've been listed here i would've defintely choosen that. I started working as a sandwich artist in a Subway store on Miami Gardens Dr. in Hialeah,FL about a week ago. They are very unprofessional not to mention the employees as well as the Main Manager smoke cigarettes in the back room of the store where all the vegetables and meat is made. I was fired today April 26,2012. My manager gave me 2 to 3 days of training when really it should be a week. I knew from the start that I was just going to be some NEW employee that he just wanted to fill in to his resteraunt. His employees are all unprofessional not to mention they are ALL pakistanian like himself looking like their running a family buisness. I felt harassed and disqualified in the short period of time I had to learn how to clean, make bread, make sandwiches, learn the menu, learn how much meat goes in each sandwich, learn how to bake cookies properly, etc. They are very unprofessional and none of them have the PROPER HYGIENE as the subway 4rs program and mastery test REQUIRE. I am very disappointed in the experience I had working there. but I have maintained a smile on my face throughout this horrific experience. NEVER WILL I APPLY TO SUBWAY AGAIN. And if I do, I'll happily come in to my old store and order nothing else than a SODA. Sincerely Erika.
I have gone to the subway on Broad Street in Sumter South Carolina for a while now and was treated fairly, but on today 4-18-12 I was treated unfairly by the manager and one of the employees. They greeted the other customers coming in and didn't greet me. That had me down. I observed what was going on when I was sitting down eating this morning. This is not the first time this happened to me. I try to let it ride but I couldn't this time. There were a couple of incidents in Febuary at the Subways in Sumter South Carolina, one is located on McCrays Mill Road and on 15 South. The manager at McCrays Mill Road was rude to me and one of the employees on 15 South was rude to me as well. I think the manager at the Subway on Broad Street is giving a sub to a friend of hers without her paying for it, thats the second time I have seen that.
The subway in little river, south Carolina sucks! The manager katie allen, who I finally figured out her name from another employee is always on the phone yelling and cussing out in the parking lot at people! She is rude to me and other coustomers! She yells at her employees infront of me and other coustomers! One of her employees told me that there not allowed to have visible tattoos but yet she has several tattoos up her arms and yet she yells at her employees when theres are showing and makes them ware long sleeves in the extremely hot store! I finally asked her one day why was se so special that her tattoos could show and she told me that thoes rules don't include her! She also makes very bad food! I never ask for anything toasted from her because she always burns my food and seems to me that she spends more time smoking outside and talking on her cellphone than working! I know this because I work on the store side at the kangaroo the subway is in! And she always acts like she is the manager of both sides of the store but she's not! When she first started working here I thought she was cool but I always thought it was kinda strang that all of her old employees and managers and her old subway in grissertown, north Carolina always say that she's a bad manager an don't do nothing! And it seems like everything they say she did there, I see her do here! Please PLEASE do something about this because there will be a major fight up in this store if she keeps on!!!
On Sunday, April 15, 2012 at 9:00 am I was at Subway in Stony Creek, VA and I wanted to order 6 $5.00 footlongs, all the same with all the same condiments. I told the young lady that I didn't need them until between 11:30am and 12:00pm that day because they were for a youth activity after church that day. She stated that when we came back, if there were people in line, they would take those orders first--I was then confused because I wasn't asking for special treatment. I then asked her if I should not order now and just wait until 11:30 to order them when I went back to pick them up; she said no they would take the order now but they didn't know if they could make the sandwiches and when we came back they would have to handle the people in line first (????) I said I didn't mind that I would have to wait in line to pay but ordering them now gave them 2 and a half hours to make 6 identical sandwiches so I thought it wasn't that big a deal. Boy, was I wrong. I told her again we would be back in a couple of hours-she said okay. As I was leaving, this same young lady hollered over to who I assumed was the manager who was bent over at the end of the counter and told her that "I told them they would have to wait!!" This woman stood up and said "wait a minute, what?" The young lady told her about my order. The manager stopped me on the way out and said "absolutely not, you can't just walk in here and order 6 sandwiches like that!" I said "huh?" She said they were short-handed 2 people and that we couldn't order 6 sandwiches like that! I asked her "what if a family of 6 came in and wanted to order 6 sandwiches--you're telling me you would tell them no?" She said "not today, they couldn't". I reminded her they had 2 and a half hours to make them but she again said "no you can't do that." Also at the time we were there they had only one family in line--a total of 3 people and were already finishing up their order. I never raised my voice or acted nasty (only with God's hand over my mouth-I wanted to show Him in my life to these ladies), but I was completely dumbfounded. I told her that's okay and I told the person that was with me to just come on and I told those 2 ladies to just forget the order. The manager lady then followed me to the door and repeated the same statement that I just couldn't walk in and order 6 sandwiches like that because they had two people call in today. I asked her again "if a family came in today and wanted 6 sandwiches you would tell them you couldn't fill the order?" She again stated, "not today." I told her "that's okay, just forget it". I then proceeded to leave and she then said as I left "sorry Ma'am." The irony is I was told I couldn't order sandwiches from a store whose only business is making sandwiches. (I work in a doctor's office so picture this--"sorry we're not seeing patients today we had 2 people call in"). This store happens to be part of a truck/travel plaza that is always cram packed full of travelers--that's a lot of customers she turned away and a lot of sales lost--ours alone was between $35 and $40. We will no longer do any business with them and I made sure I told everyone at church what happened. At least there was the unknown family of 3 that heard the conversation too--maybe they will pass the word.
I really hate to complain about your restaurant but i was just in there this evening and the service was unbelieveable!!I had a coupon for buy 1 6 in sub get the 2nd one free. I ordered the 2 sandwiches and went to pay. I was told that I cannot use the coupon because the sandwiches I ordered were premium and I can't se the coupon. Then i asked for a bowl of soup. amd just as many many times before I was told no soup. Come on !!!!! it was 5:00 in the afternoon and no soup?what the hell Never again will I go to another Subway store. Burger King is just as good or better and they always have what I ask for.
My local subway @ 2650 Hamacha rd El Cajon Ca has to be the most discusting place a person could ever eat at!. Their staff one would guess never wen't through a food handeling course? All you have to do is visit this store to see how dirty these people are. I wen't over the last few months on saturday afternoons to see some mexician women that appears to be a manager from some other store stopping in out of uniform to check on things. She brings her sone with her who likes licking the tables in the lobby and picking his nose and wiping it all over the tables. The other day I went to this store for a sandwitch told the guy I wanted light onions I got heavy letuce what the hell don't they understand english? I complained he pulled the now used letuce off my sandwitch. And put it back into the container he got it out of spilling it into lots of other containers. Today I got to watch the irannian guy taking out the trash and digging through the trash cans take his dirty plastic gloves and handle all the food containers in the freezer looking for some stuff to finish building my sandwitch for a different employee then he takes his dirty gloves and puts his hands all over the sandwitch prep area. Is this how subway wants to be known? most of the staff in this store takes cash slips on plastick gloves they just contaminated with the dirty hands and start making sandwitches. They don't wash their hands. On my sandwitch today I asked for swiss chese the girl building it just threw something else on it maybe cause she was never trained? or maybe she too dosen't understand englist? The tax rate went down in san diego county almost a year ago 1% but not at this store they still over charge every sale 1% I guess its time I have my media friends get some food to go with hidden cammeras and we show the publick that subway isn't the place you really wan't to get your food from.
I just came back from a subway located in taft ca 93268 and will NEVER be going into another one again this girl that worked there named yolanda was very rude to me I asked for two sandwiches she got done with one and I said I need two she rolled her eyes at me and very reluctantly did it she wouldn't speak to me just looked at me didn't smile once and as I was paying for food she turned to her coworker and said just shoot me and as I was getting sodas she helped another guy pay for his order and was sweet as pie to him you do not treat people like this while working if I was her boss I'd have fired her so fast you guys need to reevaluate your employees at this branch I also called corporate and it got me no where but recordings not pleased with that either I will keep calling until I get threw to someone for this disrespect if I acted like this at work I wouldn't have a job!!!!!!!!!
Like Ms Martinez I also applied for employment at a Subway In Illinois. I interviewed and was told I had to take the training course on line which took 21/2 days because I dont have internet, and go to the libray. Finally got that done recieved a call again to come in which I did to find out I had been hired but didnt know and was told I will not be paid for training time. Which I thought was odd but thought okay was there an hour because I didnt have the right work clothes on. The manager was cold rude, whom has 2 daughters that also work there and watch what I say to them they will go off. She showed me around and sent me home. I went back the following Sunday. When I asked a question I got thought you knew already or I ahowed never introduced me to any other employee working. Being I have experince in chain business I feel I was a Threat to her. I went home up set and hurt by this but went back the following day for what I thought would be another 2 hours but was asked to stay since the manager was "Ill and went home. Where I said yes still not knowing really anything but tryed my best with dirty looks and disgust from one of the daughters working also. when it was just me and 1 other girl who was very nice she told me dont talk to anyone here about anything they the manager and family will use it against you. It was her lasr day because she was also treat unfairly. I worked over 8 hours not paid and learned nothing at all except how rude the manager was. Its a shame that places like this are aloud to stay open.
